Ever wonder what Hikaru no Go would have been like with Shougi? Ever just wanted to see a show full of characters with sick obsessions with shougi? have you ever wanted to watch shougi with dramatic pauses, ZOMGs, and extremely random dramatic facial expressions? You may be thinking: "Much as I like shougi, wouldn't that just be to much like Hikaru no Go?" Well, let me ask you something else. Have you ever wanted to see shougi with MURDER, TRANSVESTITES, KIDNAPPING, AND OTHERWISE ADULT SITUATIONS?! Well then, Shion no Ou is right up your alley. The show starts when Shion, as a little girl, witnesses the murder of her parents. The only clue left behind is a shougi piece left at the crime scene. Years later, she's in elementary school and she's working her way up as a shougi pro. However, she can't talk because of her traumatic childhood experience, and she writes what she wants to say on a notepad. There's also a guy posing as a chick, a fan of Shion with mysterious intentions, a creepy stalker/kidnapper, and a family that might be a little too obsessed with Shougi. So basically, if you don't understand shougi, then all the ZOMG is going to be lost on you, as it was on me. However there's plenty of WTF to go along with that ZOMG and keep you entertained. Well, actually, it still might not be entertaining. I just watched because Shion is so insanely adorable.
I am sure there's at least one anime with that idea as its premise.
It's not technically hentai, but the absolute worst anime movie of all time, Ninja Ressurection, has something like that. There's this guy who supposedly has Satan's soul or something in him, and after he gets his arms and legs severed, this evil guy forces his daughter to **** the torso boy, and then later summons satan out of her body. ****ing worst movie ever, though.

Consider Primordial my new favorite black metal band - these guys are ****ing amazing. The music is loaded with so much emotion and beauty. These guys are on Agalloch-level when it comes to emitting pure emotion in their music. The vocals are quite unique and awesome and the music is just all-around powerful. Indeed, some great stuff. Ayreon is excellent. Well, honestly, I ony like The Human Equation (listening to now, actually). There's just some amazing and memorable songs on there. It's one of those albums that you really memorize ever note in. Favorite songs are definitely Day 3: Pain, Day 8: School, Day 12: Trauma, and Day 16: Loser. I actually bought the 2-part Universal Migrator album, but it bores the hell ou of me. Only song I really like is My House on Mars, which I love FWR. Dream Theater is similar in this regard. I love Train of Thought, but I don't really like their oldre stuff - i ave Awake and it just bores me. I like what I've heard of the 2-disk one who's name escapes me, but it's always too expensive. As for ToT the only problem I have is that i can get a headache listening to it, and it's just so damn pretentious... however, Honor Thy Father and In the Name of God are both amazing tracks. Pink Floyd's The Wall is great, though i only really care for select tracks. Namely, Comfortably Numb and Hey You. the movie was ****ing awesome, though, lol. I tried to get into prog before, but it just bugs me for the most part. I think Symphony X is okay, just nothing spectacular. -
Truth be told, it's actually healthier for you to have it done. Trust me, circumcision is not just for the jewish.
The difference in health is so unbelievably minuscule. And besides, I'm the guy who eats **** off the ground, hasn't brushed his teeth in going on 3 years, doesn't wash his hands after going to the bathroom and once has a fungus growing in my hair. Health means NOTHING to me. BTW, if you couldn't tell from my pics, I'm already a Jew, lol. Though I'm the least Jewish Jew of all time.
I too have been circumsized.
UNCUT, B*****S!!!! Sorry, I kind of found that necessary. Actually, it has me worried, since I've never seen porn with uncut ones. I wonder if that many women care?

I think I actually might like Shabutie more than Coheed. For those who don't know, Shabutie is essentially Coheed before they were Coheed and they had a much darker sound and the best lyrics EVER. There are 2 EPs that were actually released - Plan to Take Over the World and Penelope. PtTOtW is a bit lighter than Penelope, but has some cool material. There's only 6 songs, and of them 3 are really good and the other 3 are just okay. Desciple's Anthem is a bit on the strange side, but they really shine in Wake Up and Strung Short. Wake Up basically sounds like Jane's Addiction with more bass. And man, when Shabutie pushes the bass, they know what they're doing. Strung Short has one of the best bass-riffs I've ever heard. Shabutie REALLY gets good on the Penelope EP though. Kinderwhore is OMG LOVE on the bass. Plus it has the single greatest line of all time: "I've got this power in my genitals". Camoflage is awesome rage and resembles Delirium Trigger in some ways. Shameless is the closest Shabutie song to the sound of Coheed. Then we get to my absolute favorite Shabutie song, Godfather's Lollipop. Epic, pure win, greatest lyrical/vocal combination EVER and amazing bass again. One of my alltime favorite songs, and better than anything Coheed. They also have a whole crapload of rare tracks lol.
I've found that a lot of people who don't really appreciate the more traditional metal have a hard time getting into Candlemass. Try periodically trying them again, they might grow on you. And that's still pretty much one of the heaviest albums of all time, regardless. I'm glad you liked Swallow the Sun. They're one of my top 5 favorite bands for sure. All their albums have been incredible strong, very atmospheric, full of emotion, and good lord the RIFFS. The new album absolutely slays (hence it's #1 spot on my top picks for Doom Metal this year). You need to listen to the song "These Hours of Despair". Good lord. When the keyboard part comes in.... yeah. Holy ****.
Jake, what would you consider your top 5 bands, anyway? i know Agalloch and probably Opeth are in there, and now I know Swallow the Sun, but why not show us the rest of the picture? -

Listened to a bit of a couple Candlemass songs and while heavy, I found them to be boring. So I started listening to Swallow the Sun who are excellent. Don't Fall Asleep was great, especially because I was watching the knife vs. baton fight posted in the best fights thread and I happened to start each video at a time in which the song synced perfectly, which was completely badass. The doom-metal genre has always been pretty hit-and-miss with me. I either end up liking the band or totally being bored by it, so Swallow the Sun sounds like one I would love. -

Mastodon indeed kicks *** (Billy, get in here). Blood and Thunder is the song that got me interested, being the only song on the album I really liked. Blood Mountain, however, is among my favorite albums. Between The Wolf is Loose, Crystal Skull, Capillarian Crest, Bladecather, and Colony of Birchmen are some of the best riffage, solos, and overall amazing metal in existence. The brutal, visceral, intense and complicated riffs are the main draw, of course. My best memories of the album were playing World of Warcraft and rocking out to it - absolutely sad as that is. It should also be noted that Pendulous Skin is one of he greatest songs ever written, period. I think I could appreciate Leviathan a lot more if I listened to it now. Just listened to Iron Tusk and it was great. In regards to Agalloch - dude, just youtube them already. -
Tis blasphemy! NOTHING is more epic than listening to 2112. I am listening to some song from them and they are OK I guess. Sorta like rush but harder and with slightly better vocals.
I'd compare them to Dream Theater before Rush, though with 100% less pretentious cocksucking, and far more power. 2112 is insanely epic, but you haven't heard this song yet. It's like nothing before. It reminded me of Dream Theater's In the Name of God for a while, but it surpassed even that masterpiece by a longshot. I need A Night at the Opera NAOW! -

Amon Amarth are definitely amazing, and I can tell just from watching them that their live performances are absolutely brilliant. My personal favorite song of those I've head is Cry of the Black Birds, which my friend and I break into at random times. The vocals are amazing - possibly the best death metal growls of all time. Listening to Blind Guardian now since most of A Night at the Opera is on youtube. This is probably the most epic **** I've ever heard. This is more epic than watching the third Lord of the Rings movie while reading Call of Cthulu. It's simply amazing. It is more powerful than anything - it's like listening to a symphony. The current song, And Then There Was Silence, blows me away. It's more epic than Beating God of War 2 and listening to 2112. It's truly, unequivocally epic. -
EDIT: Killswitch Engage's cover of Holy Driver is just great. For a metalcore band, they pulled it off. I loved the video to it. I've never heard the original at all, but I'd love to now. At first I thought it was just a different metal band I've never heard before. I was surprised that Killswitch did that.
No. Just no. Holy Diver is one of my favorite songs ever. Killswitch makes me weep big metallic tears. Also, Avenged WARNING: Jake hates Messhuga with a burning passion. Expect rant. -

Blind Guardian is - infinitely - better than Rhapsody. And yeah, Dragonforce. So far I've only heard 4 songs from Imaginations From the Other Side and I've been blown away by all of them. This is theatrics done right, and some amazing power set to it all. A Past and Future Secret and The Script for my Requiem are both amazing and the latter beautifully intense. I think the only reason I hadn't liked them before is because I'd only heard songs from their last album, which you said sucked anyway, lol. Yes, definitely 'the Good Stuff'. Still not as great as Ensiferum IMO but maybe after I hear some of the stuff from the albums you mentioned I'll change my mind. -
Personally, I've never downloaded music. I have, but only a couple Japanese songs and recently a bunch of unavailable Shabutie tracks. Meaning that I haven't robbed anyone. However, that's only because I can always find what I want on youtube anyway so I don't have to dl. Do i support it? yes. Why? Because personally, I WILL NOT buy an album that I have not heard at least 3 tracks from. I find it silly to put your money into something you don't even know the contents of.

Jake, I don't need to see a video, because I've heard all of their albums several hundred times. And anyway, it's not like I said i didn't like Rhapsody at all, they just aren't really my forte. There were some elements of their music I really liked - great choruses, great vocals, and some really epic moments. Some of the theatrics, though, were lost on me. As well, the last of te songs I listened to was really boring, so I didn't feel like listening to any more. The reason I love Dragonforce is that I find it impossible to listen to them and not feel completely empowered and full of fighting spirit. I don't know if you play video games at all, but it's like playing an RPG with a really generic storyline but a great combat system that keeps you playing. -
Tehy keep telling me I shouldn't post, and quite frankly, I'm sick of it. In these threads, we either have knowledge or we don't know ****. I've kept this down long enough, but when somone posts a band you shouldn't go on tangents about how wrong someone is. This is the metal thread, so metal counts. Stop throwing genres at us like rocks. And how about just explaining the genre's to us instead of telling us whcih it really is. We're still confused. Put a link to something that discribes the genres, or don't go off on how we are wrong.
So, did you somehow loose your eyesight when Jake posted the link to the metal sight and I even reposted it by the next page? Were you blind that day? And if you think a band sucks, you have every right to say they suck. That's the whole point of forums!!! -

Prem, for ****s sake, pick a goddamn side. You either do or don't want to take this seriously, don't ****ing follow the whim of any word of displeasement you hear. ****ing choose, right now, if you are A. going to try to learn or B. going to be a dildo all day long. This is a FORUM. You post in TOPICS you don't post off-topic and posting non-metal in a ****ing metal thread is OFF-TOPIC. As for you avenged, welcome to the ****ing internet. If you think metal is the only thing with a league of pretentious ****s then you haven't looked around enough. *fed up* -
I have this horrible feeling that DB's going to start some sort of cult of masturbation in the future. Can't you just imagine him going door-to-door, Jehova's Witness style, to talk about it? I bet people would join, too.
Actually, again being REAL technical about it, according to my religion you kind of already are that. Or something. Because I believe in a collective consciousness, so in a way, you are me, and in a way, when I masturbate... everyone does. So, yah.

Two words Mann: ****ing amazing. Though I gotta say, calling those vocals is an insult to vocals in general XD it's just "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" for ungodly stretched of time XD wait, that's A CHICK?! OH MY GOD!!! That doesn't seem physically possible! Anyway despite the bowel movements being passed off as vocals, the music is amazing. The distorted guitars are a bit off-put in some song where they're so quiet, but that positively inhuman drumming makes up for it. Random hiphop beats = WTF. -
You wish. Though I'll admit it would certainly be one popular Religion. I think what was being referred to is that many religions consider it a sin, or a borderline sin and that not everybody believes in such a religion.
Actually, if you're REAL technical about it, then i masturbate for religious reasons. You see, in my religion, I am god (this is not a joke, I really do believe this, but that discussion's for another time) and thereby, when I masturbate, it cold be considered ritualistic appeasement to myself. Also, I lol'd at 'borderline sin'.

I bought IKSOSE:3 first. I loved it like I've never loed an album (other than Frances the Mute by TMV) and was excited to get the others. I got GAIBS4 next and wasn't sure what to make of it, so I didn't think about it too much. I next got SSTB an hated it. It was way to emo and totally lacked epic. Some months went by, and I still loved IKSOSE:3 and was still unsure of GAIBS4. However, one time I listened to SSTB really carefully (actually I think it came from listening to Delirium Trigger and Neverender individually a lot of times on youtube) and thought it was really good. I then became mondo obsessed with the album and listened to it three times a day for 2 weeks. Since then it's been my favorite of the three. GAIBS4 I stated to like, and for a while go really into (when I was listening to a lot of Rush and Tool alongside it) but I gradually lost taste for it. I can't sit through the album in one sitting, period. Still like IKSOSE:3 but it's only half good.

Okay. I've listened to 4 songs by Rhapsody so far (I won't judge their videos. Since they are unbearably god-awful.) The first one I heard was really good, (something about Dragonfire in the title) and it gave me high hopes, but I felt kind of let down by the rest of it. Holy Thunderforce was okay, Unholy Warcry was pretty cool, but the other one was just lame (the one with the video with tons of tits in it). Overall, I'd say they are not bad, but their music is so cheesy it's painful, which is a good thing in some places and bad in others. I think I might have fun listening to them, but I wouldn't ever become a fan. After listening to all that, I listened to Black Winter Night by Dragonforce (my bros favorite) and it blew all those songs away, so :p.
