I actually kind of enjoy the idea that I might be channeling Satan through my penis. Maybe I can shoot demons out of it and possess people. ...wait, isn't that kind of like getting a girl pregnant? XD zing...

Sunfall, it's one thing o have an opinion, it's another to claim that I don't masturbate. That's really not cool. I do, and I love it. Just last night, I downloaded 5 volumes of the doujinshi Evangelion dv - Re-Take and let me tell you, I didn't not masturbate to it >_> Odin, you are a freak, for real.

I don't give a **** what anyone says about Dragonforce, I ****ing love Dragonforce. My brother is an obsessed fan, and I've loved them ever since first seeing them at Ozzfest. Their songs are NOT all te same. Not even close. Anyone who's listened to Valley of the Damned with even the smallest amount of intent can tell you about the album's variety. I haven't really listened to Sonic Firestorm myself very much because that album has no soul, I agree. But then we ave Inhuman Rampage which is entirely different from the other two albums - mind you, IR is mostly similar to itself, but there's still enough variety to it. I don't have time to get into that right now, because I have to get to school soon, but anyway having really, really studied their music I cannot say to many bad things about them. -
I'm fully expecting you to have set your penis on fire by the next time we get one of these threads.
lol, funny you should say this because I didn't read the quote at first and got it out-of-context since my friend lit his penis on fire the other way. Not the penis itself, but on a rag over his crotch, covered it in lighter fluid, and lit it up.

Masturbation. Actually, I've suffered from insomnia m entire life. Even when I was a baby, I couldn't go to bed at night. In my child years I would lie awake and count endlessly. As years went on, i've never gone to bed without waiting an hour or two before passing out. For a period of my life, I took this as a very serious problem, though it was never handled properly. Eventually this problem became null when I invented my own sleeping schedule (when I got into anime). Basically, I go to sleep and wake up whenever I goddamn well please as long as I regulate it around school hours. this causes problems for me, but fixes a million more. Either way, it never takes me less than an hour after going to bed to get to sleep. I can never be comfortable - this is true even when I'm not trying to sleep. I can NEVER sit still and I shift my position constantly, and so is true in bed. And when I do get comfortable, I can't stand to stay that way for long. There's always a million thoughts at once. Organizing lists, shows I'm watching, posts I should make, schemes, songs I'm listening to and songs stuck in my head mixed together.
As intelligently as I can put this, I have listened to two Trivium albums, and I feel truly sorry for my friend and for anyone else who loves this band because they have a complete lack of good musical taste. Their music isn't interesting, it isn't passionate, and it isn't good. Seriously, isn't there a better band than Trivium that people could be listening to? I mean, I listen to some pretty bad music, but at least it's interesting. EDIT: and sorry dude, I've never heard of Electric Wizard. I may check them out. EDIT2: Revolver, how irrelevant can you possibly be? Every other post you make is full of complete disregard of context and sense.
I swear, I think he's high or something XD. Anyway, I dug up my old review of the Trivium album. It's rather forgiving, and it's pretty old so forgive me if I sound a little n00bish. Trivium - The Crusade A lot of buzz began floating around Trivium at about the time of The Crusade?s release. Curious, I decided to see what all the fuss was about. Trivium?s two earlier releases were a bit of an annoyance. They had the metal core sound popular among many bands these days with hideous screaming and mediocre musical quality, even compared to other metal core bands. The Crusade, though, has exploded their popularity. Trivium sound a lot like Metallica back in the early days, when they were speed-metal and not crap-rock. They feature the classic sped-metal sound with gruff vocals and singing added at parts. Unfortunately, there?s nothing that really stands out about them, Some songs on The Crusade, such as Detonation, Tread the Floods, and Becoming The Dragon feature their heaviest sound with quick, abrasive riffs and solos and a brutal, visceral sound. It is on these tracks that Trivium shines as a head-banging fun ride. Other tracks like Ignition and The Rising have a mixture of heavy parts and softer parts with singing vocals. There are even a couple of borderline ballads in This World Can?t Tear Us Apart and Sadness Will Sear. The biggest problem with a lot of Trivium?s songs is that they are too dragged out without much purpose. Some may feature one too many chorus repetitions, or a really lame part that totally sucks you out of the experience. Still, there are many anthems and songs that will stick with you on this album. The best track is actually an 8-minute all-music song called The Crusade which features all four band members at their best, which still isn?t spectacular. The guitarists and drummer aren?t more than average grade, but the bassist is actually quite good. This isn?t well represented, though, as the guitars are turned way higher than the bass on most songs. Another huge folly of The Crusade is the lyrics. Most of the songs feature a socio-political massage and the occasional detailing of a famous murder story, all of which I?m fine with. But wow, these are some terribly written songs. A strong example of this is the chorus to To the Rats which goes as such: ?Break every bone in your face/if you mess with my life/I?ll mess with your blood/bury you in a coffin made of your deception.? Singer Heafy?s voice is no prize either. Whether singing or yelling, he always sounds the same and, despite vocal coaching, is a terrible singer. He has the gruff sound commonly associated with this sort of band, but can?t pull it off very well, especially when he tries to vary his pitch. The album is very vocally oriented as well, which poses a major problem. Is Trivium the best rising band on the market? No. Go listen to Dragonforce or Avenged Sevenfold for a similar sound portrayed in much better skill. Are they worth a try? They?re at least worth listening to the singles on you tube and seeing what you think. OVERALL: 5.7 - Bad -

Trivium? I own their album The Crusade. For one, they are THE worst lyricists in existence XD for this I am glad, though, because I think it's hilariously amusing. As for their music... they sound like they really want to be good, but just can't manage to be. I'd say half the album if stuff I can't bring myself to listen to, and the other half is just okay. Detonation, Entrance of the Conflagration, and of course The Crusade are all decent. However, the other few songs I liked when I bought the album I am not so keen on. Overall I bought the album the same day as I bought Oceanic, ad after about a week with both, I was only seriously listening to one of the albums I bought that day >_> -
XD I figured out why it's confusing. The grounding leg moves in the opposite direction of the rest of the body. interesting - had to study the individual frames Ugh, NVM, this only works sometimes...
Yeah, with GIF's, you can't just say "okay, go backwards now," you'd need 34 frames of it going backwards after it. And if we're saying that it's doing it after a certain amount of spins, you can't just tell a GIF to loop a few times and then switch to another animation. It would need to have multiples of the spinning animation and then the backwards spin, so in order to do that, it'd take HUNDREDS of frames. Resourcefulness wins over ridiculous cynicism.
>_> My only experience with gifs is that when I save them to my comp, it seperates them into a folder of each individual frame, and I have fun playing them forward and backward.
I checked the frames in ImageReady, it's 34 frames of her just going around in a circle. CLOCKWISE. There's no trick to it, it's just your eyes.
Um, the same frames moving backward would be counterclockwise. Doi.

I lold. First I checked, saw a really hot shadow, stared at it a sec, and closed the tab. Then I realized I was actually supposed to look at her, so I did so again. She turns one way. However, each time I scrolled the mouse she changed directions with lot's of image flickers. Yeah, this is fake guys.

Jake, that post id the epitome of tl;dr. For real for real. As for Opeth, my favorite album is Ghost Reveries. Blackwater Park is excellent, but it eats you soul. You have to be in a rare mood to really enjoy it. -
You made me think of Amon Amarth. But I think Jake has said that they were overtaken by the horrid fate of Hot Topic.
Nooooooo....... They have gained a bit of popularity in that regard, but they have not lost their musical brilliance. I know for a fact Jake loves With Odin on Our Side, and I know I fully intend to buy it. Was just listening to them a moment ago in fact. Cry of the Black Birds is ****ing legendary. Now listening to Opeth, though it's fro the Damnation album so I prolly can't talk about it here XD. Maybe I'll switch to Ghost Revs in a sec. Ghost of Perdition = win. -
>_> totally missed tonight's episode and now my girl friend (note: space) is going to kill me T_T We're 'Heroes buddies'. Mostly cuz we're both such Peter Patrelli fans XD (though we both hate his current story arc) So far, I think I'm a little unimpressed by the new season. Why? 3 cheese romances all at once. Peter Parelli with the embarrassingly fake Irish lady, the stupid-*** teen romance, and even Hiro is falling for a girl. At least all thee gay moments between doc and police guy make up for it XD Other than that, though, not bad. At the very least, Takezo Kensei kicks ***.
AC/DC and all of them are metal. Just not the metal of today that's all.
Okay, well, see, then they aren't metal. Period. Today is all-encompassing. Do you kive in the ****ing eighties? Okay, that's what I thought. And besides, AC/DC is like southern rock >_> that's how it sounds to me anyway. Moar metal please.
Cradle is like "me sucky moosic." I admit "Nymphetamine" is good. But the rest of Cradle sucks. No ones talked about AC/DC, Metallica, the Scorpians, and all the classics? Shame. My mom loves the scorpians. They were alive during the "Glam Rock" era I bilieve. And hell, they're still touring. AC/DC is comming out with a new album. and Metallica has become old and washed up, even though their old crap is good. I'm not sre if Metallica is metal or hard rock though.
From now on, every tie you mention a large group of not-metal bands, I'm just going to repost the link Metal Archives. -
Anyways, has anyone ever heard of Disciple? I was flipping through the XM channels when I reached the Christian Rock station. Low and behold I heard Christian metal for the first time ever. I must say Disciple was so so but the music interested me. How can it be the devils music when it's for and about god? I mean I hear Christians scream all the time, but never like this. A good song iwould have to be the Sacriligious Scorn by Dimmu Borgir. love the song, even though it's not the best Dimmu song. And that gal from Arch Enemy... WHOA. wouldn't want to make her mad. But Arch Enemy is good I guess.
Oi. When it comes to screaming chick metal, I've always been more scared of Otep, lol. I saw her (band) in concert with Static X and they were only okay - the 2 singles which I liked were about the only good songs - Warhead is always great. Nice video and catchy song with great screams. As for Demon Burger? Never been all that interested, I've heard actually more than one song by them using the line 'I am hatred, darkness and despair' repeatedly, and that's just stupid to hear all the damn time. Their music isn't very good, but I'm okay the song Puritania (I believe?) just cuz it's trippy >_> As Jake said, "at leas they're better than ****ing Cradle" -

Prem, it's people like you who make us create these ****ing genres. NOBODY likes genre specifying. It sucks *** and it defiles the music. However, when uneducated bastards who listen to ****** music try to group themselves with you, it's like "****, well, they don't sound like that ****, they must be another genre." Edit: >_> thanks for deleting your post so I look like a total douche... -
O_o It'd be one loooong *** movie XD just read the comics which were SUPPOSED to come out spring of this year XD IKSOSE:3... we've talked about it enough in these forums already XD. I think I've already stated my favorites, so maybe I'll explain what I don't like. Cuts Marked in the March of Men, while a great song, is too straightforward. The Crowning depends on my mood. If I'm singing it and stuff it's great, but for a passive listen, not so much. The first Velourium camper is good, but only as a novelty. It's not something you want to keep listening to. And Backend of Forever sucks uber-***. As for GAIBS4, I like Welcome Home, and I don't mind Ten Speed or Once upon Your Dead Body just for the sake of singing them. The Suffering is like a guilty pleasure XD The Final Cut is ****ing epic, and the live version on the Last Supper was amazing. Other than that, the album is pretty much trash.

lol, Devilution actually was the song I heard XD Anyway, yes I know that about Isis. I've got Oceanic, Panopticon (remember the rp I did?), and the new one who's name escapes me. I've only heard the title track of the Red Sea - it's less my style but good nonetheless. -
Yes, I know, but it actually fit with the music and wasn't completely creepy or awkward. I hate it when he says these vile things and chants it in a happy tone. It's not fun music if it just makes you uncomfortable. With "I need Mayo!" (that's a character's name, not mayonnaise) it's at least not obvious enough that any CoCa-oblivious friends of yours will be like "wait... what?" as they will with the more clearly-understood weirdness in Volume 1. And "Heartshot Kid Disaster" is one of my more favorite tracks on that album, I don't know what's wrong with you. :p
Hearshot is good for a while, but I get bored by the second verse and the whole screaming part is just annoying to me cuz lets face it - no one in Coheed can scream worth a damn. (it's fun to sing in the car though cuz I can get my brothers to do the "I won't fail you now!" line) And trust me, I know about Mayo *knows all the story and has read interps of it as well as contributed my own* I always liked the creepy stuff. "I hope you die right now, won't you drink me chemical?" was a good line IMO, though my favorite has always been "I hope you die right now, it'll only make me feel too good!" And anyway, Claudio writes the story as he goes from album to album - I think he does whatever he wants with the lyrics, and merely intended on saying those things. Okay lets put it this way, have you ever listened to anything by Shabutie? There was no story there, but he said the most disturbing things you can think of XD though those songs were actually dark rather than poppy, so I guess it doesn't support my point as much. Either way, Claudio's just a freak. "I've got this... power in my genitals... lets me know I'm real!"

Listened to a song by High on Fire and it sucked total ***. I'm surprised you like something like that. Isis kicks ***, I know that. I listened to some Dysrhythmia and they were pretty good, currently listening to Canvas Solaris and a minute into the first song I already love it. Anyway, it's not that your recs aren't special, I just trust Jake since he introduced me to half of my favorite bands >_> -
Mmm... SSTB is by far my favorite Coheed album, and to me every track is great. Time Consumer is so well-written - the first minute or so is some of my favorite music period. Everything Evil has one of the most memorable and badass riffs ever. Delirium TRigger is godmod, I swear. It's like nothing else out there. Junesong Provision is very interesting - the tempo changes are handled far better than anything on GAIBS4. Neverender is food for the soul. The songs Devil in Jersey City and 33 are more of a pop sound, but both are more than a little entertaining. God Send Conspirator is also an epic climax to an album. The ONLY song I don't like is Hearshot Kid Disaster. I just don't get that song >_> Face, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Some excerpts from SSTB: "Sweet Josephine, won't you **** me back home?!" "Down the street the corner boys **** **** up!" "Jeseeeeeee! Just come look at what your brother did, here he did away with me!" "And she screamed CLAUDIO! Dear CLAUDIO! I wish GOD DAMMIT! WE'LL MAKE IT IF YOU BELIEVE (FBI!)" "I NEED MAYO!" (XD) "Thank god they recovered your body in New Mexico" "Doused in KERRRROCENE and torch blaze BLOODBATH! When boy sets fire, god knows you've lost!" "I-RO BOT will never die..." And that's just the obvious ones.

And for the last god ****ing damn time Disturbed ain't Nu Metal, and stop getting so offended by the term - Nu Metal doesn't mean terrible, it just means "Not Metal". I love SOAD myself, but I know they aren't metal! Face, I'm gunna listen to those bands you mentioned, too >_> I needs Jake here tough for some real great recs... -
Comes out the 23 where I live. Wiki said the whole kitten-kaboodle got leaked on the web.
Doesn't mean I don't like it. It's true that I've come to almost detest GAIBS4Vol.1 since I listened to it a bit ago and could barely tolerate it, but I'll still give the new one a shot. After all, Face didn't totally hate it.
