Opeth are one of the most amazing bands out there and deserve all the fanbase they have (uneducated as the fans may be). Metal bands I like include: Tool (opinions very on wether they are, in fact), Agalloch (2nd Most amazing band ever), ISIS, Opeth, Mastodon, Dethklok, Dragonforce (Jake can ***** all he wants, they've got POWER), and perhaps Dream Theater (r they metal?) then there's Woods of Ypres and Ensiferum whom I've not heard enough of, and I have no idea what genre The Sound of Animals Fighting is, so I don't know if they fit here. I know it will take gratuitous effort to make people watch this amazing show, so I'll need a banner to help me out! Here's a pic I'd like to be used, and I'd like to stress bright, upbeat colors. For the banner I want to have all three girls, and the avatar should just be Rin (enormous blonde pigtails). [COLOR="DarkOrange"]Oddly enough, Fasterisk, as a person with high-standards as well, for some reason I can't get over liking this show. Even in the episodes where I spent the entire episode thinking "wow, this show is so ungodly poorly written" or "is every fight scene really this contrived", I never stopped liking the show. Even though I'd only rank it moderately (Maybe 6.5-7?) I still can't help but consider myself a fan. I'm even driven to go buy some figures or other merchandise! I think I realised it most when I watched the first episode of season 2. Despite all that I've watched in-between, frm the beginning of the episode I felt like I was sucked right back into "Shana-mode". I had too much fun seeing all the characters again, and with the ep being a pseudo-recap, I was enticed by seing some of the scenes again (it helps that this ep had Shana's style at it's prime). I remember that someone said that the chaacters were easily replaceable. I think this is true when you think of Shana as an action show - the story works no matter who you put in there. Just as well, the plot could have been anything and the characters could hav been in the same situations. However, if you don' think of it that way, it's fun because it's [i]those[/i] characters in [i]those[/i] situations. I dunno, that probably doesn't make much sense, but the bottom line is that Shana kicks *** >_>[/COLOR]

[COLOR="DarkOrange"]I think the one I'm at the most is Megatokyo. I hang out in the forums. At first, I was in the story forums (waaay back) since MT was my favorite comic at the time. However, thanks to the forum turning me into an anime fan, I mostly hang out in their anime/manga forum. Unlike OB, it's full of people who are like me (and a lot who are on a much higher level) so it's a great contrast to this site. OB is my second biggest ground because I've been here so long. Lately I only come here to pass time when I'm bored because I'm an anime fan and this isn't much of an anime site, sadly. My homepage and common check-up spot is Danny Choo. It's a community for Otaku to share their otaku musings, as well as Danny Choo's "blog" (though it far transcends being called that) it's basically the ultimate paradise for American otaku. I don't go there as much, but there's also Heisei Democracy. Being that I have a blog, it probably counts as a stomping ground, and there's also the blogs I check up on. These including The blog for the webcomic Mistakes of Youth, BigN's "Drastic My Anime Blog", Jeff Lawson's "Hop Step Jump", Omoikane's "Omonomono", roast-beefy-weefs "So Meaty" (I convinced him to make it), eponymous "The Last Arial", and Shiro's "Towards Our Memories" (they are, all but 1, MT members) Ever since I've gotten into DLing, I have to have TokyoTosho constantly ready as well as the less-used Nyaatorrents and DAtorrents. While they aren't hangouts or anything, I use Wikipedia, Anime News Network, and Photobucket pretty frequently. I even update Wikipedia (I officially made an article the other day!) Recently I've been using MangaUpdates a LOT because of my new scanslation addiction. I used to use Veoh and Crunchyroll a lot, but since I discovered DLing, theres no need.[/COLOR]

Set in an indiscriminate amount of time in the future where Tokyo has been crushed by a giant earthquake and almost no one lives there, a whole bunch of mysterious cases keep appearing that the detective "higher-ups" are calling 'phantom cases' but lately, phone calls come in from some kid with answers to the cases. Two of the detectives who don't believe in 'phantom cases' decide to mean this kid who lives in a mansion out in a random forest. Meanwhile, in school, a group of 4 friends are spreading rumors. The friends consist of Completely Normal Girl who looks suspiciously like Mai from Mai-HiME only without boobs! We next have the silver-haired twins. One of them is practically a robot. Everything he says is purely factual! Meanwhile the other is more laid-back though still a complete wuss. You can tell them apart because the laid back one DOESN'T BUTTON HIS SHIRT ALL THE WAY. I KID YOU NOT. And adding to that, the fourth friend is the shy, sickly girl who coughs a lot and always has her hands placed together!!! Anyway, the three dumbass teens who aren't sick decide to go check out this mansion they've heard rumors about. These kids' brains are so insanely huge that they decide to climb through a broken window that isn't very wide and covered in glass shards to get inside. The minute they enter they here a woman's scream so they decide that, since the cellphone doesn't get reception to call the police, they investigate. Meanwhile, having met the butler, the two detectives are waiting to meet the genius kid. Meanwhile some ***** with HUGE boobs add the most generic get-up you can order breaks into some remote part of the house looking for some crap. The butler confronts her by summoning two bouncy-chested dominatrix women who get into a poorly-animated catfight with the first chick who o course 'will finish this up later'. Long story short when the detectives and kids all meet up they met the genius kid who comes forth in an eruption of golden light whilst everyone stares in awe of him. It turns out the cream they heard is because of a maid who's so clumsy that she trips every 10 seconds trying to get around the house. Oh, and by the way, the kid solved those cases by [i][b]sensing the solution.[/i][/b] Thank you have a nice day. Anyway, the show tries to make itself look edgy with random shaky cam and experimental lighting. I'm pretty sure it's, no joke, the same people who did Zombie-Loan.[/COLOR]
