[COLOR="DarkOrange"]Lets see... I am currently attending my 3rd high school known as Bayside High School. everyone, and I do mean everone, at my school is lazy. There are no bullies at my school - the castes all seem to meld together and blur at the seems. It's just a blob of lazy. There's a perfect balance of race and there's a perfect balance of stupid strictness and hilarious security lapse. However, no one stand around and smokes cigarettes or sneaks weed in the courtyard. No one brings a weapon to school. On freshmen Friday no one pulls any pranks. On spirit week, no one dresses up except a few of the teachers. Our football team is not great but doesn't suck. It's basically the utmost of placidity. Naturally, no one attending Bayside praises it. They all say 'I hate this school' and 'Bayside sucks' but really, they probably just hate their lives. I know that Bayside is one of the best schools I've ever been to (and I've been to about 12-14) so I don't whine. We have 3 classes a day and a lunch/study block. You can forego that for extra electives or to take a bus out to a college for whatever, which a lot of honor students do. Our staff is very pretentious. They like to decorate the school and they have all sorts of mottos. We have t-shits that say 'Bayside - we're kind of a big deal.' Our motto is 'We are Bayside.' or 'We are family.' Every Friday they play that song to cheer on the football game. No one likes it when they play that song. our mascot is a marlin. And thus bayside is also 'Marlinville.' I have lovingly dubbed it 'the home of the downbeat'. Or even 'the lazy *** school'. [/COLOR]

I could hug her [i]to death[/i]. Yes, I had an enjoyable time watching Shugo Chara episode one. I didn't mind the slightly annoying faries. And, of course, I had to love the tiny baby sister singing like a pop idol when she can't even talk yet. TOO adorable. Amu has already won my heart with her personality troubles (similar to things I've experienced. Because, you guessed it, I'm actually a 12-year-old-female) and her just inane amount of cuteness. Honestly, I look forward to watching more of Shugo Chara. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find out where I left my bloody, battered masculinity. [/COLOR]

Please mind you - when I first started listening to Isis I hated the vocals. I used to avoid anything with any kind of screaming or growling vocals. Isis is actually what bridged me over to liking them because of the way they sort of push the vocals behind the music. When it comes to types of screams, I only like certain ones. First of all, I like it when they have emotion behind them (this is how I came to appreciate TSOAF screams) which both Isis and Agalloch have (agalloch being the kind of emotions unique to itself, though). I also appreciate deep screams depending on their portrayal. The type where they sound like they're just screaming as deep as possible for deepness' sake is weak. The best kind of deep screams are the ones that you hear from Opeth or even Dethklock. I've always hated whiny or high-piched screams the most. Screamo and **** is the opposite of my forte - even in the background of the first Coheed album I couldn't take it at first. I've become more accepting, but still try to avoid. Anyway, i don't listen for vocals in music anyway or obviously I'd've turned some of these bands away before.[/COLOR]

Then you'll probably have a lot of fun with this show since it seems to use terminology of the subject liberally along with it's own set of story guidelines. Rental Magika (or Rent-a-Magician) can pretty much be summed up by it's title. It's about a group of magicians who do jobs when they are needed. The format looks to be monster-of-the-week style in a way reminiscent of Trinity Blood or Witch Hunter Robin. Episode one was not very impressive - the animation was pretty weak, especially for a first episode and it didn't seem all too original story-wise. However, the show has a very interesting visual style that will either make or brake it as a whole. The first episode was about 50-60% battle which was good, because I have a short attention span, but the first battle wasn't exciting at all - your standard anime fight. However, the second fight had some great visual effects and enough trippiness to get me interested. However, if the whole go-into-trippy-universe-with-dizzy-effects is episodic it will quickly loose it's luster. So overall, I think by the second episode it will be easy to determine if this is a uniquely presented action show, or a lame cheap boring ignorable poorly animated failure that'll end up on [AS] next year.[/COLOR]

Mokke is a show about a pair of sisters who live out in the country with their grandparents. The reason being that the older sister can see and interact with weird supernatural things, and her younger sister to whom she is very close is easily possessed by those things - meanwhile their grandfather has extensive knowledge of these beings. I had some pretty high hopes for Mokke, and while it didn't fully live up to my expectations, it also changed them to something that I think I will enjoy very much. Mokke is very quiet and rural - in that respect it reminds me of Figure 17 (it helps that the little girl looks like Hikaru) but the most common comparison is definitely going to be Mushishi. Mokke is different enough from Mushishi though to make it worth watching - Mushishi had very interesting creatures which are dealt with in interesting medicinal ways. Mokke has interesting creatures that are dealt with in more spiritual or tactical ways, so in that way it will be a new experience. The music in episode one was excellent and while it is very calm for the most part, the confrontation scene still managed to be intense. I retain high hopes for the future of this series. [/COLOR]

The teacher in charge doesn't care much, and the only student participating is a rather ditzy but kendo-obsessed girl determined to keep practicing. Well, one night the teacher and an associate teacher from another school make a bet - that if he can train a team of 5 girls to beat the other guy's team of kendo girl them he will treat him to a full year of free meals at his dad's sushi place. Being poor, the teacher accepts and begins his quest to find some young kendo talent. I actually found myself laughing out loud several times throughout the episode. The best moments being - When the teacher swings the sword up and crashes the lightbulb - The girl starts to walk out the door and gets her backpack stuck - The 3 various balls and random professor fly out of nowhere and she bats them away. This show has great promise to be awesomely hilarious and great plus the main character is adorable beyond comprehension. Plus, the animation is excellent. Lets just hope it doesn't always take till the next episode airs to get subs...[/COLOR]
