No way....that's just lame. You aren't playing the game at all. You are just reading the Strategy Guide and spewing the info. You aren't the one who has to perform such duties and make the reactions, so you were almost no help in the experience. I can understand if you're playing multiplayer Co-op or something....but reading me the strategy guide doesn't help. I could do that myself.
Not if you're my dumb-*** brother and you spent 20 minutes groveling and getting me drinks so that I could take the time I could've spent watching Hidamari Sketch to come read you a damn strategy guide. I better get some credit for that :animeangr Another thing that grinds my gears - strategy guides that expect you to follow them from the very beginning all the way through. Cut the damn umbilical, I just came for one quest!
I don't like people who "Sidecar Game", the people who watch you play a game and then say that they beat it with you. No you did not, you ignorant *** you just watched me. I did all the button mashing, thinking and respawning....so go get your own copy and beat it your damn self. I get that a lot in FPS and RPG's, because in fighters I don't let people Sidecar, they play against me.
XD that is me all over. I say that about my brother and cousin when I watch them play, usually because I am a total leech, though most of the time it's because I was the one reading the strategy guide while they played. Honestly, I think that deserves some of the credit. Besides, group mentality FTW.
My brother wears black. He's a thug. He is not a goth - he attacks people who're 'goth'. You can assume a lot about people, but not for the colour of clothing they wear, or even the type. Is it to say that one day, having lost my coat I wore my brother's nike hoodie, and I'm now a thug? Heck, it isn't wrong to make assumptions at all, I just think it's dim to make assumptions about something as little as the clothing someone wears or its colour. Most people do nothing but judge and whatnot, but the real problem nowadays is the lack of seeing past appearances. But it's never going to change, so I don't care and I don't know why I'm arguing.
Honestly, if you're passing someone in the mall or in school, do you even need to know that the person is more than they seem? Is it hurting anyone that you assume they're a goth? Now, if you're going to bash on them for it then that's one thing, but just judging them on their appearance - who cares?
I forgot and yes I'm looking at you Prem and you DB. :p But another thing that grinds my gears... people who have to try and defend things that bother others or try to explain it. Seriously you two. It's not like its personal or requires an explanation. lol
I knew this was coming. I was waiting for it. I don't care. I think your dislike for people telling you not to dislike things stems from emotional trauma brought about during your childhood XD On a more serious note, this is the only thread active on OB right now and I'm bored out of my damn mind. Since the internet exists for the sole purpose of discussion, I'm discussing. After all, these threads are boring as all hell without it. I mean seriously, who cares that much about what random people are bugged by? Threads without points where people just scroll through till they find someone they care enough to read about grind my gears.
Dialects have nothing to do with stupidity, ignorance, and l33tspeak. :)
57Fj00 /\/006 Also, Prem, if you're wearing black, you have to expct people to make assumptions about you. Just like if I see a girl dresed like a trampy ho, I assume she's a trampy ho, if I see a guy wearing black, I assume he's a goth, and if he's got make up on, he probably likes Rocky Horror and claims to be bisexual. And if I see a girl with a naruto t-shirt, I assume they are goofy and slightly annoying. I know people see me and think I'm goth, and there's no reason to give a damn. Who cares what other people think?

Request Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei avi/banner set
[*]Bad spelling and grammar and internet l33t speak, get a proper ****ing eduction.

This has been brought up a few times, and I have an arguement for it, but I'm not entirely sure how to word it. Basically, it's like how can you ask people to talk a certain way, and why does it matter? People from different places all speak in a different manner, it's all depending on where you come from. For instance, I never realized it till I started using the internet and talking to people from other places, and I realized that I have a very southern dialect. And when I type on the internet, I use that dialect as well. Another thing that grind my gears is how English teachers preach to the students how they need to speak using proper english and stuff but then they have us read books like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer where it's hard to even read with all the strange dialects. Sorry, but we ain't take kindly ta gramma nazis 'roundeese perts XD
And I swear, Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco are the same band too.
They are, XD Worse yet, apparently Fall Out Boy uses the program Garage Band featured on your common OSX Mac to record their demos. For those who don't know, the program gives you a plethora of simplistic rhythms for each instrument to create music with. And I can't help but think that FOB doesn't actually play music, they just use the preset mechanisms in the system XD Also, yall reminded me of when the radio stations make fun of Nickelback. 'Every memory of takin it in the backdoor! There's a photo of my friends *** I was looking for!' XD (okay, that's not what they said exactly, I made that up)

Request Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei avi/banner set
2010DigitalBoy replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Creative Works
I likes it! There are only 2 things I'd like to request be changed about it. First, if the text could be put closer to the bottom and more out of the way of the pic, and second, a border. Other than that, I love the way you did it and I'll definitely equip it once fixed or until someone else has a go. -
People who think you're suppose to like what they like (mainly fanboys) - Because I don't like Grand Theft Auto. Because I don't like heavy metal. Because I don't like Neon Genesis Evangelion. Grow up people. Why do you care that I don't share the same interest as you? Your meaningless debating isn't going to make me feel any different for not liking it. That's about all I can think of.
For me, personally, it's a desperation act. I am embodied in my hobbies - my favorite music, manga, anime, video games - they define who I am. I am desperate for others to see these things as I do, as well I feel that if someone dislikes these things, they dislike me, and I don't take well to being disliked >_> Maybe it's just me, lol Also, Prem, my 3rd favorite band of all time was Type O Negative. I heard 2 songs off their new album, and now I hate them. So eff you :p

Oi there! I would like a new set involving the anime Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. I'd like it to have the character Fuura Kafuka in a sunny place and lots of bright colors. She should be, of course, smiling. As for text, in size 8 or 9 font and preferredly fancy-looking letters it should say... "Amber streams from Sol are Not Unlike The Waves..." With that part bold. As for color, the text should contrast the bright colors so as to be visible. Ans size-wise I don't want it huge but not so small you can't tell what's going on. Around 350-450 pixels wide should do. Thanks in advanced!

Shinigami no Ballad is a six episode anime based on a series of light novels in Japan. The light novel series has been liscenced for release by Seven Seas Ent. (the people who did a wonderful job of translating the first 3 Boogiepop novels). The first novel was supposed to be released early this year, but now is TBA 07. The series follows the various tales of Momo, a Shinigami girl and her flying cat familiar Daniel. Momo doesn't appear all that often, though, as the show is really focused on each individual story. Each episode has it's own plot, all involving children elementary through high school. Some of the stories involve people who's family members are tied to the world becasue of them, while others involve Momo trying to prevent a death or help people cope to one. A few of the plots involve a love story or other strengthening of character relationships. This show has the same kind of relaxing feel that i got from watching Kino no Tabi. It's intelligent and deep while simplistic and fun. Each of the stories was interesting and most featured great characters. My personal favorite was Tomato. :love2: Momo is, of course, awesome, as well as Daniel who provided the small comic relief - not that a calm show like this was ever too serious. I think that's what made it so fun - it never took itself too seriously, though it wasn't silly either. Fans of Kino no Tabi or ARIA would probably enjoy this series. The series is so short that I can't say too much without spoiling it, so I'd say just go watch it. It's worth it through and through and if you have a space 3 hours, there's no excuse not to watch! Anyway, I was already looking forward to te novel, but now I really can't wait for it. This show has also inspired an rp I'm working on creating.

>_> Fillers are really unavoidable for long series like that which follow the manga as it goes. All those absurdly long shonen Jump anime are the ones who end up like that >_< Those anime tend to suck anyway cuz even without the filler there's always a ton of stalling in the episodes. The only reason most fans watch the anime of stuff like Naruto is to see the fight scenes gloriously animated, though in a show like Inuyasha where there are no real fight scenes, I don't see the point. Thumbs down to filler shows!
I don't know why you're even considering the possibility. Everyone knows there are no girls on the internet.
If only Amazon.com lived up to it's name :p -
Code-E is a shoujo comedy from the people who brought you R.O.D. and shares some similarities with the other series, which I will get too later. The show is about a girl named Chinami Ebihara - a shy glasses-girl who is overly apologetic and very easily frightened. As well she should be, because Chinami has a strange and overactive ability; she controls electricity with her emotions. When Chinami is around anything electrical, she effects it. When she is feeling distressed, which is almost all the time, it causes nearby electrical devices to malfunction or stop working entirely. When she feels happy or hopeful, she causes the power to increase. Chinami's mom is a businesswoman and her dad is a children's book writer, and the family has to move all the time because of Chinami's ability. In order for them to keep her safe from authorities or sientists who would make her an experiment, they have to keep moving around. Code-E apparently takes place a bit in the future, epecially if something like this is 'old' The first episode is really quite slow, like they were trying to position a cliffhanger at the end before actually delving into the real plot, or as if it were a manga adaption where they really wanted to make ch 1 spread to all the first ep (I don't think it is, though). Either way, it's hard to tell if this will be a romantic comedy, comedic drama, or action comedy besed on the first episode. The op makes you feel like you're getting into a slightly more action-oriented show, though seeing as how R.O.D. the TV was half action and half shojo-esque slice-of-life, it could turn down any alley. As for the animation, while it was okay, it didn't really have enough movement to truly show off what it can do, I suppose. The backgrounds were pretty, though. Also, Chinami is totally like a young Yomiko Readman.
Androgonous...? D: Fine, I'll give in. ._. Here's a picture of me at an anime convention. I'm the Haruhi one.
And picture up, finally. No cosplay though, my cousin's over and she would wonder what I was doing.
Between the size of that pic, the Konata mask, androgonous coat, and the fact that you just admitted to looking at LS doujin makes it hard to tell if you're even a girl, much less what you look like XD Give us a real pic! :p -

I just bought Gunslinger Girl volume one almost on impulse after reading the first 2 chapters while in Barnes and Noble and thinking this is freaking cool! The relationships between the girls and their handlers are my favorite part, partly because I'm a fan of softhearted men caring for girls who love them. And... stuff. Even though I normally hate unrequieted love, this one makes an exception. Everything about this manga was cool - the action was well done and the organization is a kind of cool setup. I like that it's not all 'zomg we are assassinzz!' or anything. Also, it takes place in Italy. Also, I love the art style. It's very clear and easy to tell what's going on. So anyway, I'm going to go use all my self-restraint to not look up any doujins relating to this show >_> Also, this deserves t3h revive because apparently ADV had nearly dropped the series, but recently picked it back up. Oh, and someone PLEASE change the thread name. Most ignorant crap ever...

Wet seems to be gone, hence me leaving him out. Staphanie is having emotional problems currently, so her chracter can just be led through for a bit. I'm not sure about Clurr - she keeps insisting that she's 'not worthy' or whatever, but I really hope she changes her mind. Fyxe has a job, jiazu is rarely on to begin with, and I have no freaking idea where Darren is - ask Hell, he knos the guy. Anyway, if you guys want to continue, I don't mind simply leaving anyone who quits behind. If you don't want to be in the game, you don't have to, but I won't let it end because only some players don't want to continue - and I think most of them do anyway.
