1. Oi! Sorry i didn't get around to posting yet! You took so long getting this started that I thought it was just going to die and forgot all about it >_< now it's back, so i'll get a post in as soon as I can - probably tommorrow since I'm going to crash pretty soon.
2. Oi. I know I haven't been keeping up with this, and I haven't gotten to making the story progress very much at all... mostly because i really had no plan going into this >_< My prospects were rather unfounded... anyway, i feel like my last story post was kind of like shirking my duties since i just moved everyone and didn't really tell you what to do. I am going on very temporary hiatus. Basically, i'll continue the story when I can get around to it, but right now I am utterly lacking in creativity, and my head is in a whole different place right now. As soon as my muse comes back, I'm going to make a map of exactly what I'm going to do with this game's direction up to the final chapter so that from then on I can manage it well, which is what a group of talented rpers such as yourself deserve. it's unfair for me to keep stalling and making you post filler >_>
3.
Hey, bathrooms are convenient for reading! Plus with metal babes inside your bathroom... I'll just stop right there, no one wants to get their mags all sticky and junk. :P My favorite magazine is Mad Magazine, so I don't collect rock mags anyways, I borrow from friends. Friends are liable sources for entertanment. But never ask them to define a music genre. >_> Where I live there is only 4 people who like rock music in our grade. I'm one of the four. I'm also the only one who likes anime, no one else at school pays attention, so its cool. Except when your friend calls you a dork for watching Naruto, but hey, I love that show!
I see... where I live, there's this large group of goth kids who listen to... well... goth crap. There are a few metalheads, but they're all a bunch of freaking pricks who think that Cradle of Filth and Marylin Manson are like the ****ing gods or something. Blegh. Adding onto that, a good 25-50 percent of them claim to like anime, when really they just like Naruto >_> bastards. @ Moderation - friends are kind of like family, right? oh yeah - that brings me to my friends. My brother's friend is like... completely unaware of music XD the only band he knows he likes is Avenged Sevenfold, though since he started hanging out with us he's become a huge fan of Dragonforce and Ayreon and some other crap... Then there's my friend who loves Rammstein, Tenacious D and Static X and any kind of comedy song, especially ones in languages that are or sound like German.
4. i broke a mirror when I was 10. i walked backward into it and cracked it in half. It was a house we had just moved into with my aunt and 2 cousins down in pensicola Florida. We had been sad about leaving our friends we'd known for 4 years, but we had high hopes because we were planning on living there till we could finacially get back on our feet, then we were going to move to Arizona where my dad has always wanted to live. We'd only been there 2 days and it was Spring break, and everything was cool... I broke a mirror. ... The next 6 months - the time in which we lived there - was the most grueling experience I have ever lived through. My whole family lived in 2 rooms and was living off of food stamps and minimum wage until we managed to get back to Virginia. ...Do I think that breaking a mirror equates to bad luck? I don't know. I've been through the first 5 years... it's been up and down, but... who knows...
5.
On the subject of metal, revolver is a pretty good magazine. Especially their hottest babes in metal issue they had recently. You never really know how sexy Amy Lee is until you stare at her picture for a while. i find metal to be the most confusing of all rock genres.
Ew. that article is so pointless, it's always the same damn metal babes they talk about all the damn time anyway. Can you spell filler? Anyway, my mom reads Revolver and... it's kind of disgusting what they'll pass off as metal, though they at least kind of admit that they pander to anyone's rock fetish. I don't like magazines at all because they'll go through the trouble of glorifying a band or album in their articles even knowing how much it sucks. I only read for the reviews, AKA the 'great equalizer'. They occasionally review bands I like so it's cool from time to time. Either way, I end up reading most of te mag just cuz it's in the bathroom. Overall, not nearly the worst magazine around, but still a magazine suffering the fallacies of magazines...
6. I don't even care about winning anymore, I'm just going to write whoever I wish was the answers... 1. Yuki Nagato - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2. Kyousuke Date - The Soultaker 3. Kamina - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 4. Ichijo - Pani Poni Dash 5. Hayate - Hayate no Gotoku 6. Wander - Shadow of the Colossus (I know its a video game, but he's the best main character in history period, and a bigger badass than Link and Kratos put together)
7. Okies! I got my special edition volume 2 DVD yesterday and my brother and I just got done watching le dub disk. I gotta say, I was wrong about Haruhi's VO. At first I thought she wasn't all that great, but during the scene that... well... should have been the end of the series, she was absolutely fantastic. Just like the first time I watched it, every hair on my body was standing at the stellar performance of both VOs and the amazing atmosphere of the scene. Anyway, I find it really interesting watching the series from a new perspective. See, I never went back and watched it all in chronological order or anything, so I just went with it and took all the craziness for granted. Seeing the baseball episode from a perspective where everything makes sense is totally different from before, when stuff like Koizumi's existence and the confirmation of any powers were not yet revealed. What really got me, though, was the stuff i missed. Mikuru's nurse outfit at the beginning, the references to the scene all throughout - I'm disappointed in myself for never having gone back to check things out ^^;; Anyway, jolly good disk. My brother has become positively enamored with this show XD it's scary how close our tastes are... (mostly because I know at some point if he continues to progress in my direction, then I know the kind of porn he'll get into >_>)
8. Sorry it took me so long, though I watched it a few days ago. The first time, I watched it pausing to read the chalkboards. The second time, I watched it with my little brother (who loved it) without stopping. NOTE: I am biased to anything done by Shinbo. I would gladly bear his children. Anyway, I freaking loved the first episode of this show. I'm a big fan of comedy, but I'm an especially big fan of dark comedy, especially when it's done right, and this show does it oh-so-well. The best scene by far was when Zetsubou-sensei sits down with the guidance counselor and talks about his troubles. The mere idea of him getting so upset over the baseball cap thing was simply awesome. I love all the characters in this show (bear with me here, you know I suck at names.) Zetsubou sensei is completely awesome. What I love about him is that he's so nagative and sorrowful with no right to be - he forces himself to look at things in a negative way with no purpose for it. Meanwhile, the energetic girl has every reason there is to be depressed, but she's nothing but hopeful. I love the beautiful contrast. Also, the OCD girl was awesome. As a person who spends plenty of time making sure my hair is parted right, I know what she's talking about XD I can already tell this is going to be, like, my favorite show evar. Oh, and of course, the art. Freaking amazing. The use of color couldn't be better, the subtle or background jokes; the style makes moments that should be bland totally interesting. I can't wait for more!
9. I'm surprised there's no thread for this on OB! Anyway, this show is actually almost completely out on DVD in the US so there's no excuse whatsoever for you not watching it! It's directed by the greatest man to walk this earth, Akiyuki Shinbo (Soultaker, Hidamari Sketch, Moon Phase, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) and is a comedy about an all-girl class governed by a teacher who's an eleven year-old genius. It would not be hard at all to draw a comparison to Azumanga Daioh. While PaniPoni has a larger cast of characters including even students of other classes, there are a lot of personalities that are much like those in AzuDai, and a similar atmosphere. So what makes this show better than AzuDai? The directing. This show is zany on a whole new level and visually enticing. There's always something or a good deal of somethings happening onscreen to keep you on your toes along with the witty humor and fun situations. This show does a great job of sucking you into it and making you have fun along with it. And... um... I've only seen two epsiodes so far ^^;;. Oddly enough, I went out and bought the artbox with the DVD, but for some reason I actually bought volume two O_o. So I ended up with episodes 6-10, but the show is so random that I was able to pick right up into it. Unlike Azudai, this show doesn't use a 4-koma format where every couple minutes it's about something different. Each episode has a standalone plot that almost acts as a mcGuffin for the jokes to play out on. Anyway, it's awesome and you need to see it >_>
10. I noticed that you can now apparently use harsher words in the Anthology whereas they used to get bleeped as far as I remember... it took me by surprise becasause I typed '****' fully expecting it to turn into '****' but it didn't...
11. Damn! I was really looking forward to starting this thread since season 2 just started, but I never managed to finish season one. In any event, I love this show, because while it's pretty much pointless, it's really fun and hilarious. Oh, and there's tons of fanservice for both sides of the spectrum (big or small boobs...)
12. Nom, you have terrible taste in agames, and you're dealing with a man with an outstanding taste. First of all, the .hack games suck. They get boring fast and the story is lame at this point and has been rehashed to death. Dark Cloud also get's repetitive after the first dungeon. Custom Robo is alright, but go for the DS version. I't s like the same game, but portable and with wi-fi. My reccommendation would be Shadow of the Colossus if he hasn't played it already. An amazing adventure that I personally enjoyed even more than Zelda... Whether you're joking with Nomura or not, telling someone that they have bad taste in games is rather rude. It's his opinion on what games he thinks Desbreko should check out, and therefore you have no right to degrade him for his choice of games. I advise you to cool your jets. ~Tombstone~
13. N00b mountain was created, but I don't get to be king? :animecry: While I still have every intent of joining this thing, I'm sad...

15.
yes I'm 26,
Why are all my OB pals so much older than me? :animedepr thank god for Fyxe and Prem...
16.
Okay, my latest post's up. Hope I did Liam right. If I need to change anything, DB, just tell me.
guys, guys, stop being so paranoid! this is an rp governed by all ^^;; (how the hell did I go from being guy no one wants to hear from to guy everyone wants answers from?!)
17. Since i am not a woman and therefor will personally never become pregnant, this arguement has little effect on me. Before you go saying that I might get a girl pregnant or something... well, first I'm going to laugh at the idea that you think that will ever happen, but then I'd explain that if I had a girlfriend and she DID get pregnant, i would leave it totally up to her, and not criticize any decision she makes. I guess you could say I'm pro-choice, but then i want to think i'm more pro not-caring or simply apathetic toward the subject entirely. How you want to go about handling your troubles is your own decision - wether you want to keep the child or be rid of it; more power to you.
18.
Note: Just a reminder to everyone, positions aren't first come first serve. So if you see a position signed up for, you may also sign up for it.
:animecry:Yeah, but the position I was gunna go for has been grabbed by Shy. Shy! I can't compete with that XD oh well, it's prolly better for my health if I sit this one out... in too many RPGs anyway... I just wanted to say haha! To the names I ecognize from the Panopticon. Good times...
19. Okay, I put in Otakuboards on google and on the frint page i noticed this... ...and thought... what the hell? Was this a joke at some time - is the staff aware of this thing existing? Moreover, who the hell put time into creating this?!
20. um... be creative? Well, I imagine Liam gave the same message to everyone, and now wants you to find each other. Some may have strted together or closer to others, it's all random and up to you. So... do whatever you want. I'll show my face when you've become a group (and if it takes to long, I'll put you in one :p)
21. Understand that Liam was not talking about their current abilities, but ones they will learn in the future. He was simply overestimating everyone. In Liam's mind you are all to become some kind of demi-gods or something. Yeah, he's basically a kook. Also, I doubt he remembers Dante's name :p As for Joe's name canging >_> fuck, I am in TOO many rps....
22.
This just occurred to me: what about a sort of neutral territory? N00b Mountain comes to mind, with a fairly large, emo-looking keep near the top, referred to as The Hall of the N00b King (and possibly with DB as the overseer ? he might at least get a shrine or something.) :D It was his self-proclaimed title, was it not?
This game already sounded amazing, but now it's plain awesome. If this happens, I will laud allamorph as a god XD
23. Day 2 begun and crazy already. You may have noticed that Wet Cement's character Levon was left out of this journey due to Wet's inactivity in the rp. He isn't out of the rp permanently, just for this journey. If Wet comes back later he can join in when appropriate. Also, haha! for this part of the game, joe is in captivity, so I will be controlling... 24. Day 2 Julian woke up at 8 AM feeling slightly groggy. He rubbed his eyes and looked around, remembering where he was. It felt like being in a hotel on vacation - the fact that he was living here now had yet to really sink in. It seemed a bit dark in his room, but only because of the black drapes hanging over the windows. He pulled them open to let the light come in. I need a bath… Julian lay in the warm water, running things by in his head. Ah… breakfast… I wonder if the menu is just as bad… At least the water in his bath was crystal clear. Julian wondered if the water might have come from some kind of spring under the hall. He set his iPod beside the tub and had the headphones in his ears. He tilted his head back and let the music wash over him like the water. “This is what I brought you, this you can keep… this is what I brought, you may forget me… I promise you a heart, just promise to sing… kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep…” --- Julian found himself once more in the cafeteria, moaning at the sight of the food options. Why don’t they just put a sign on the door saying ‘vegetarians can go to hell?…’ “Oh god, I’m so tired of hearing you whine…” Julian turned at the sound of this voice coming from a petite boy behind him. He blushed slightly. This boy was absolutely beautiful. His hair was stylish and tossed in a way that it sat sideways on his face, and it was dyed silver with pink streaks going through it. Adding onto that, he wore slim fit clothes and a silver collar around his neck. On top of all that, he had beautiful blue eyes… wait, what did he just say?! “H-hey… keep out of my head,” “Oh, come off it. I know you’re not as stuck up as you act, so just be honest. Anyway, see those buttons on the wall?” Julian turned to the wall behind him to see an up and down button like those used to call an elevator. “Press one.” Julian reached his finger out and pushed the up button. Suddenly all the lights in the room were blue. Julian raised an eyebrow. Ooookayyy…. “Now turn around,” the other boy said. Julian turned to find that the entire food selection was different. And… it was all great looking! “Thought you might like that. Anyway, see ya around, Jules,” and with that the younger boy left the line with his tray. Julian thought to correct him real quick, but it would have been pointless with the guy reading his mind. He was mildly annoyed, but his stomach cut him off… *** Joe Deadrien woke up in another dimension. Everywhere around him was gray and there were giant blue gears turning soundlessly all around. For a brief moment, he didn’t know what was going on, but he immediately assumed it was a prank. Ugh… Joe focused his mind and surged his power on a reality-smashing scale - a move that would break the small reality instantly, allowing him to return to his desired plane of existence. Unfortunately, the space proved too large for him to shatter. What the hell? Suddenly, an image began to materialize as it moved toward him. Seconds later, it was clearly the old man. “Hello, Joe.” “I cannot begin to describe how much I’d like to punch you right in the face right now…” The old man only smiled and began pacing as he spoke. “Joseph, let me tell you something. I’m old, and I’m a bastard. I don’t have too many years left in me at one hundred and ten, even if I look not a day over sixty. I must say… I don’t intend on dying any time soon, and rumor has it… that a mage can live for eternity. Now I know you want to yell at me and how with my prospects, I will never be a mage, bla bla bla, how I have no soul, and I need to hurry up and die, whatever you damn kids want to say about me. I’m going to be outright with you, I think something’s going on. The same day that I was told something major was supposed to happen at the most spiritually significant location on Earth, eleven new students come to my school. The majority of which are beholders of a latent talent I have never witnessed in anyone before. Treana has two minds that she can consciously alternate between; Tasha has an attraction ability that I have seen as a precursor to spiritual manipulation techniques; with a year’s training, Julian could have his head blown off and recover instantly; Shayla can make other people view her as she wishes, though she has yet to realize it; Chora can speak to the souls of any creature; Thomas can create from nothing; Chloe and Damien have an incredible learning capacity and can master skills at an unreal rate; Dustin can erase her own emotions; Vanyel may be the most important of all. She has an ability lying dormant that could shake the very foundation of this world. Of all eleven new students, only one of them lacks a hidden, immense ability. These children were meant for something far more than you seem to realize, Joseph. I’ll be damned if I’m going to let those talents go to waste and do nothing. I am taking them with me to Stonehenge as soon as the last of them has gotten up for the day. First I am going to run them through a brief training exercise manipulating time so that they can come out just in time for the big event.” Joe stood up. What he did them couldn’t be seen by a human eye, but Joe suddenly went flying backward. He’d mentally assaulted the old man, but the bastard’s retaliation was too strong. Liam raised his fist and laughed. “You can’t beat me, Joe. I’m going to leave you here, and you cannot escape. It will take your precious little girlfriend hours to find you when she finally realizes you’re missing, and by then it will be too late to stop me. Don’t count on you’re two little friends helping you either, because I’m speaking with them currently as well. No one else can oppose me, and you know it, so they will live in blissful ignorance of my leaving. This is the last time we will meet, Joe Deadrien. Best of luck on getting out as fast as possible. See you.” And with that, Liam left the younger esper in the universe he created. *** Julian could’ve sworn he was putting up his tray after a good meal and about to leave the cafeteria. Apparently he was completely stupid or something, though, since he was obviously standing in the ruins of an ancient civilization. There were walls and roofs and pillars all around in disarray and moss and grass had grown over everything around. The semblance to a video game or story struck him, though this was quite obviously real, or at least realistic. His own image wasn’t changed at all - Davey Havoc was still singing into his ears, and his hair was still a bit wet, which made the slight chill of the outdoors tickle his scalp. For a moment he was rooted I place, his eyes wandering about with a million questions that he wasn’t even sure how to formulate. Just then, an omnipresent-sounding voice entered his mind rather abruptly. “Welcome, Julian. Sorry for putting you here so suddenly - you should probably find the other nine as soon as possible, since things should be much easier if you’re all together. You ought to have a look around as well - you could be here for a few minutes or a few hours depending on how it goes. I’ll explain more soon enough, jut find your way to someone else for now.”
