1.
Well not all of us are complaining about the food. ^_~ Anyway, did you want me to just go ahead and have Tasha go back to her room? I tagged Fyxe but for the sake of getting us to the next part I can simply have her leave and go back to her room.
If you really want to - I mean, Fyxe could be on her way with a post. I'm not exactly in a giant rush, since Darren is still making his post and I'm not 100% on how I'm goig to introduce the next chapter, plus I may have to do something about Wet's character since he ain't been here. Plus I'm doing so much crap right now, I could use a day or so to get the next chap started, hehe.
2. So wait, does or doesnt the special edition DVD put the series in broadcast order? I heard it did, but if I am dealing with chronological, I may not even buy v.2 special edition... Also, I just got a horrible premonition. When the last dvd is realeased, I can already see the horde of n00bs complaining about how much the ending sucked. This is going to be an arduous battle!!!
3.
is it just me, or does the food in this place kind of suck? hm, well I have an idea about that.. I'll try to work it into my next post or two...
lol, I had an idea, too. It might be interesting.
4. I have become addicted to Dredg! (talked about more in music blog) Anyway, they have a lot of cool songs, but my favorite of them is probably Lechium. The switching from heavy parts to more somber and melodic parts is melodic, and that guy's voice is amazing. First band I've ever heard that was comperable to Co&Ca.
5.
Well, if you are too busy getting high on a couch in the basement, being selfish and not benefitting others, then yeah. My personality would be my anti-drug. Helping others and giving gifts are what I love to do best.
I don't think pot makes you selfish >_> In fact, when you're high, you'll prolly love those people even more....
6.
Avenged Sevenfold: What self-respecting musician insults The Dillinger Escape Plan? Their guitarists might be pretty good, but the band is just a bunch of douchebags. You're cocky and you make crappy music, way to go, A7X.
I agree. I like A7X's music, but they need to watch the insults, since they seem to not realize where they fall in in the heiarchy of bands... First, Artists i despise: Rhianna (there's only one freaking 'e' un 'umbrella'), any generic RnB singer, T.I (I will shoot this man), Gwen Stefani (I have yet to hear a song of hers that didn't make my eardrums bleed), Hilary Duff, Lidnsay Lohan, Kelly Clarkson (eww...), that one slut who's always on the news who's name escapes me, um... every crappy pop artist in history... the greater majority of rap artists.... Bands I despise: Fall Out Boy, The Used, My Chemical Romance (someone throw them in a volcano, please), Hawthorne Heights, 30 Second to Mars, Dashboard Confessional, Underoath, Angels and Airwaves, As I Lay Dying, Atreyu, Between the Buried and Me, Blink 182, Bullet for my Valentine, Chimaira, Demon Hunter, Every Time I Die, From Autumn to Ashes, From First to Last, HIM (someone kill Ville Vailo please...), Killswitch Engage, Mudvayne, New Found Glory, Norma Jean, Papa Roach, Plain White T's, Radiohead, Staind, Taking Back Sunday, The Academy Is..., Thrice, Thursday, Yellowcard ( I can't believe they have the nerve to cal themselves 'unique') That covers all the ones I particularly hate. There are plenty of other bands I don't like who I just don't know the name of/can't think of any songs by XD
7. O|T|A|K|U|B|O|A|R|D|S - My anti-drug. Why do I say so? Because if I wansn't here I'd have so little to do i'd probably head up to Chanello's and ask for my pizza with a gram of ranch >_>
8.
I guess you could say I carry a purse. But it isn't really a purse. I got this awesome Megatokyo Flapdoozybag for Christmas and it holds everything. No, really. I could probably fit all my stuff, plus a couple bricks. Even my school books fit in there. It's awesome.
:shifty: *steals your bag*... *places brother's DS, a clock, a ton of gum, a sandwhich with pepperoni on it somwhere, a sketchbook, and as much candy and quarters as i can find inside*
9.
A rather disappointing first episode, especially coming from Xebec M2 (which is supposed to be the better Xebec team). Not for me, I guess. The shinigami eyes aren't really a DN rip-off. The same concept, with different twists, appears in other stories like Tsukihime. ~Dagger~
>_> you are not the first to yell at me for it XD Really, i need to learn to close my mouth. Specially since this manga's apparently older than DN ^^;; Yeah, the general opinion of pretty much the entire anime community is that this show already sucks *** and is complete trash. I'm at least going to watch episode 2, but I doubt i'll go farther...
10. I hate it. I'd rather swim in a swimming pool, I'd rather sit on my back porch, i'd rather play frisbee in a field. Oh, and I'd rather pee in a toilet. Anyway, every time i go to the beach, something terrible happens to me. It all really began one year when we were visiting North Carolina since my grandma is manager of a motel at the beach and we go there every year. This was 2 or 3 years ago, i believe. In that day i was badly sunburned despite wearing sunblock (so much so that i spent a whole day afterward not moving), nearly broke my neck in a boogieboard bail, was stung by jellyfish on the inside of my thigh, and a needle from a small cactus lodged into my foot without my knowlege and when i woke up from a short nap I couldn't walk on my foot anymore. Now, before that, i loved the beach. in fact, in the previous summer my dad took me to the beach almost every day for a month. But ever since that day of bad luck, I've managed to get injured in some way or horribly sunburned every time i go to the beach. Well, today, my family and my brother's friend went to the beach for about 4 hours. It wasn't that bad - the bay water was nasty, the rip tide was insanley strong to the point that I would jump in the water and find myself 20 feet away when I surfaced, the waves were weak... but we were having fun anyway - or at least it was a good chance to get out of the house for a bit. Until a shocking discovery!!!!! I completely forgot that I had left my mom's ipod in my trunks pocket the entire time! Now luckily it's an ipod nano she won from work that she's used like once and i've used a zillion times, but I still owe her a hundred dollars. Poseidon has it out for me, i swear. So, what's your opinion on the beach and/or memorable experiences there. Do you live in a country where you don't get sick for 24 hours after going in the water? Discuss. Also, if you want, post pictures >_>
11.
Jakehammeren- or...we could go kill old ladies with Viking blades or something. That stuff is always cool.
I am so in. >_> oh, and... uh... I guess I'd like to meet my n00b slaves. I'd have them get me some Mountain Dew and Cheetos, then we'd go loser out on Gears of War for hours...
12.
Well if you really want it that's fine by me. ^_~ I'd have no problem doing Guide To Becoming An Internet Superstar At OtakuBoards - An Essay instead. Because honestly I don't mind at all. Especially if its something you'd really like to do an article on.
Damn you BKStyles, I would've love to do an article on those two threads! i can actually here you're 'JUST AS PLANNED!' maniacal laughter in the background :animecry: Anywho, Aaryana Mum, assigning me to articles without my permission? You're lucky I like you XD Anywho, I'll happily do them game threads as well as lay claim to the What is OB? thread.
13.
Have patience, man. It just aired yesterday. :p ~Dagger~
T_T I don't care! I need my shinbo!!!!! Oh well, the recent hidamari subs I haven't gotten to should hold me off.... EDIT: To Dagger's below post, since I don't wanna be stuck unable to post - it's not being streamed yet!
14. You forgot about the part where no one has been found to translate the show, making me want to hang myself!
15. I do not. Have anything. save my clothes >_>. Well, thing is there have been times. I've owned necklaces before - never remember to put them on for more than 3 or 4 days. I've tried keeping things on my person, but it only makes me more liable to loose them. I think I had my GBA SP around a lot back when I had it, but not all that much, really. The single thing I've ever had on my person the longest was a cheap-*** watch I got from my grandma. It took a while to get used to, but once I did, I never wanted to take it off. Slept with it on - I think I sometimes wore it in the shower. In any event, I was constantly aware of my watch. I obsessive-compulsively checked it every 30 seconds or so, and was always playing with the strap. Eventually, the strap wore and broke, so I put it with my collection in remembrance. Well, obviously I'm not the type, but i'd like to mention that my mom always has a ton of crap on her. She's got this big purse full of crap like her cell, makeup, money, blablabla everything. She's got altoids in there to, or in her car. She's got a lot of crap in her car, too. I think that when I get a car, I'll fill it with crap. It'll be like my home base. I want to be able to just reach over and grab anything from seemingly thin air. Really, if I got out more I'd prolly have a messenger bag that I carried around, but I think you can tell by my activity here that i rarely leave my house XD
16. Zombie Loan is a new shonen anime brought to you by Squeenix that I'm sure will be popular among the Death Note and D.Gray-Man crowds. The anime has the sort of script and characters that say 'shonen anime that girls will prolly like more' which is what it is. The dialogue is nothing exciting IMO, but girls will positively flaunt over the always-together bishies who are the main actioneers. These two guys positively radiate with gay - I can already see the fanfictions in my head. The story itself, though, is kind of interesting. it's unique and unoriginal at the same time, so to speak. It's definitely better than ninjas >_> The main character is Michiru Kita... Usually she wears glasses, but I get the feeling it won't be that way much longer. Why? Well, this girl was born with shinigami eyes (yes, total Dn ripoff). The eyes show her people who are getting ready to die by having a gray ring appear around their neck. The ring starts out light but the closer the person is to death, the darker the ring. When it turns black, the reaper comes to lob their head off (erm... so to speak). Michiru doesn't know this about the rings, but she knows that the people she's seen with them are always close to death. When she wears her glasses, she can't see the rings, so she freaks out about having them removed. Anywho, there's these two smokin hot guys at her school who she accidentally bumps into walking down the hall. She finds out from her 'friends' (they always pick on her, and therefor she is miserable) that they are two boys who were involved in a major highway accident years ago when a bridge collapsed. The two boys miraculously came out alive. Of course, Michiru inadvertently sees that both wear the black rings of death... Anyway, I won't spoil the whole episode for you, since this is a shonen anime, meaning that gradually a ton of stuff will prolly come into play, lol. The first episode only has one increadibly brief action scene, so I'm wondering if there will be more as the series progresses. The thing I really liked about this show was the style - not so much the character designs, but the overall tone of the show. Everything is always really dark (in fact, their school looks like a Gothic castle O_o and there's a lot of blue and green hues over everything. Some cool moments are when the characters turn into stick figures for a moment, or something. Also, the commercial thingy is awesome. The show looks like it will be magically inclined as well... Oh, and while I liked the ED, the OP is HORRIBLE!!!!!
17.
Yes'm. [shamed look] All right, to get this back on track: I have an idea that may help speed Day One to an end. Think maybe we could have a "New Arrivals" party? You know, get all the newbs in the cafeteria and have everyone introduced? Then we could bring in teachers and have a sort of class fair or summat so that those of us who want to take classes have an opportunity to look at some, kinda formally. How does that sound?
Won't happen :p seriously, it's not that hard to make your character go to bed. A party would only be like a whole extra event, and I'm trying to get to the action ASAP.
18. (damn you ANN!!!) Doujin Work is a 4-koma manga (like Lucky Star, AzuDai and Hidamari Sketch) now being turned anime. The story is about a girl named Najimi who stumbles into the business of writing doujin and her journey to become rich through her art. If you don't know what a doujin is... abandon this show now. Anywho, if you're the type who never has time for anime, then this is for you. The episodes are only 15 minutes long (and they move so fast, you feel like you just started watching when it's over ^^;;). If you like a total loli cast, this show is also for you. Although even if you don't care about the lolis, it's also got this guy. If you aren't swooning right nowm there's something wrong with you!!! Oh, and the opening theme is awesome. See here. So, getting to the story itself, it starts of with Najimi and her uber-adorable friend... On the train. Her friend keeps passing out, and there are some jokes. I warn you, the jokes in this show are pretty hardcore at times. This is a show about doujin, mind you. Our adorable friend right there is a doujin artist who claims to mostly draw rape scenes XD Plus her doujin circle is known as... Najimi's friend convinces her to help run her booth at a convention as a sales partner. That's when they meet the silver-haired guy who's a doujin artist apparently. After a short conversation about the kind of profits earnable from doujin making, Najimi makes up her mind that she wants to draw doujin since she is an artist and ned the money. Personally, i thought this show was cute, funny, intriguing, and I totally love the characters. I'm ready to see more!
19.
Ahaha! It's because DB is workin' that gorgeous long hair.
 ladies like the hair, baby. Well, some do anyway. Oh and... hey wait, what are we talking about? I think we need to conserve this to PMs, I don't need mods breathin down my back ^^;; (even if I have two in the rp itself...)
20. lol, I knew you'd screwed up. Glad I held out. 1. Naruto 2. Inuyasha 3. Yu-Gi-Oh! 4. Rurouni Kenshin 5. Samurai Deeper Kyo 6. Hamtaro
21. lol, I'm like a steel barricade, you won't get no info from me. You'll have to wait till day 2 - meaning the sooner you all get your days finished the sooner you'll see the next day. Darren, I know you've got a super-long post to write XD I'm worried that Wet_Cement hasn't showed up in a while...
22. Oi. I rented this game about 6 months ago and i absolutely loved it for the time i had it. I always played it while listening to Avenged Sevenfold... it's the only game I managed to really get into in a long time, which makes me wonder why i don't own it yet (oh yeah; I'm cheap). I think I was on like the third or fourth area of the map - I'm not sure cuz there were a ton of levels in that game. I think I'd have to start a new game if I bought it. I simply adore the unique battle system. It took a while to get used to, but once I got it, I enjoyed running into battles and killing everything in seconds, hehe. This game is hard as crap, though. I always spent a good while grinding before entering any next dungeon...
23. Chapter one has begun! As you can see, we should be striking a balance between seriousnes and lightheartedness - basicaly, a sense of realism at least. I can already tell this world wil be interesting... anywho, Prem, your turn to introduce Desmond. Lol at the name BTW.
24. This is a story about two guys. One might have called them unlikely heroes, but in the world of stories they are probably just the guys you would expect. This particular tale is of one of their biggest adventures, not to mention their first. The story took place over the course a year of the young men?s lives - a year that would prove a pivotal point not only in their own lives, but in the lives of everyone around the world. CHAPTER ONE: Distressor ?Right in the neck?? Every ounce of Joe Haughm?s mind was poured into careful concentration. He kept his breathing steady - his eye trained on the target. Take your time, but don?t hesitate? his finger was beginning to tighten. His long, wavy brown hair was pulled back but it still managed to get on his nerves. There was in itch square in the center of his scalp that positively begged for attention, but he put effort into ignoring it. ?Now!? Like a bolt of lightning, a crack resounded across the skies about the heights of the cliff on which Joe lay. His hit was confirmed by a spray of blood pulsing from the now-deceased neck of his victim. The large blue beast fell to the ground; it?s death cry inaudible to Joe at such a distance. After reloading, Joe took to the scope of his rifle once more, surveying the forested valley a hundred or so feet below until he found a suitable target. ?Oi.? Another of the species of blue beasts was approaching the carcass of it?s fallen brother. This one was smaller - it resembled a sort of hybrid of raccoon and ape. The frame of it?s body was like that of a primate, but it had the face and claws of a rodent. Long arms and fangs were also qualities known to these beasts. Unlike most creatures, their brain was located in their short, fat neck. To other predators, the thick skin of their necks was impenetrable, but a sniper bullet made easy work of these things. ?Wouldn?t want to leave orphans?? Joe took careful aim at this beast who was thankfully moving a lot less than the last one. Within seconds of targeting he pulled the trigger, watching the best die instantly as the bullet shot right through it?s neck. Joe rose to his feet, dusting off his long shorts and jacket. He picked up his water bottle and took apart the rifle then proceeded down the path to the bottom of the cliff. ?I still need to catch dinner?? Joe knew well enough that there was no way he?d be able to get to the blue creatures in time - this area was rife with scavengers from the earth and sky. It was usually a miracle to catch a meal and actually get to eat it yourself. As he followed his usual path through the forest, he pulled his handgun from it?s holster and released the safety. Without any hesitation or stopping on his way he let off a shot into the canopy of a large tree along the path. Seconds later a large bird fell through the air and landed right in front of him, minus it?s head. Joe carefully took the beast into his arms and continued the short walk back to his village. The longer he continued, the larger the trees surrounding his path were. Eventually he was walking between trunks so gargantuan that their first branches sprung out up to a hundred feet in the air. Minutes later there were trees with wooden stairways spiraling around their trunks. Finally Joe took to a particular staircase and began his ascent. Forty feet above the ground a wooden cottage had been built onto the trunk of the tree. A sign on the door read ?Joe?s Place.? He strode inside. *** 12:34... I can?t get bored this early? Joe yawned as he glared at the clock and took a bite out of the now baked breast of his kill. Guess I better go find Desmond. Joe put the rest of the bird in the refrigerator and slipped on his shoes, heading outside. From the top of his stairway he could see the children of the village now awake, playing in the grass below. Ugh. I?ll have to run for it. Quickly he dashed down the stairs at top speed and made a mad run across the open area. ?It?s an old kid! Get him!? Hollered a chubby kid, his finger directed at the teenager. ****! Immediately battle calls of a dozen children blast into the air as they made quick work of procuring weapons in the form of sticks on the ground. ?Get hiiiiiiiiim!!!!!? several called at once. The little bastards were fast! ?Knock it off!? Joe hollered back. Desmond?s house was just ahead - he hurried to the stairs and started climbing as fast as he could. ?Wuss! Come back here!? One of the older kids called out. ?Running to Desmond?s house like always. I bet you wanna kiiiiiiiiiiiiisss hiiiiim!? ?Oh, you little bastard!? Joe took a few steps down to the ground and scooped up a rock, chucking it at the child. The rock soared through the air at high speed and missed the kid?s head by a mere inch. ?Run away! Run away!? ?Who?s the wuss now?!? Joe laughed as the children scampered off and returned to their games. ?Damn kids?? Joe turned back to the stairs and resumed his journey to his friends house. Knowing Desmond, he was probably still asleep at this time.
25. Oh lord - being here for 4 years, I have a ton of memories from all kinds of times on OB. I figure I'll only talk about the ones that stand out in my memory, since they'd prolly be the most important. It shall be done chronologically, too, so as to alleve my confusion. The first major fun I had on OB was in the Trigun sequel that I participated in which was run by The Boss (then Double_B_Daigo). I remember that i stayed up all night on it's last day of life and me and Lone Bebop (I think he's Trigun 11 now) capped it off going back and forth between us. I actually went back and read some parts of this a few days ago - it was OMG bad, but I guess I didn't know beter back then XD It's amazing how rps have improved over the years ^^;; I remember that the duels I participated in were some of the funnest times I had on OB. Most of the duels I was in were with DBD, Lone Bebop, Ryoko_TDC, and such. i was such a damn godmodder back then... I also remember an RP I participated in with Annie and Inuyasha_Fandom (god, i never liked that guy >_>) and I almost want to say squiggles but I can't remember any of her old usernames, but she has a familiar style. It was an rp about some kids who were in this school where the teachers had gone crazy and were killing students and stuff - it was weird. At some point stuff started getting sexual and I was too embarassed to keep reading so i killed my character lol. I also remember some battles I had with Annie as well. Any time that D_W entered the anthology it was a highlight of being on OB. Anything he does is amazing, especially his OB parodies. I will never forget the time at the beginning of the sequel to Otaku Hollow where he wrote me in. I was almost killed by Charles, but instead I moved to California and became an accountant XD I also remember my rivalry with KKC. I guess that's not really a good memory, but looking back it's freaking hilarious, lol. Later on, after I got the IP ban and then came back months later I wasn't nearly as active as I'd been before for a while, but then I rmember when I started trying to become D_W's sidekick. I had the 'white mage' avatar and banner and I kept joining all of his rps. Nowadays I know never to join one of D_W's rps, because I cannot remember one ever lasting more than a week >_> the sign-up pages always had great music, though. lol, I remember being all sad that White essentially became D_W's sidekick in the end. Um... then there was a time where there were no happy times on OB. That was when everything was sucky and my life was miserable... Then I started hanging out with Ziggy Cygnus 6 Bot (currently Albert Flasher XD) I had always thought he was some old guy since he refused to listen to like anything under 20 years old and he was always talking about how fat he was and he was very intelligent. Turns out he was only 14, lol. Then there was when I started talking to Blase (now Fyxe, my beautiful wife!). We hit it off almost instantly, lol. Probably cuz we're both such big fans of lesbians XD We talked about some of the weirdest stuff, and she's always been increadibly cool to speak to. Also around that time was when I assigned myself to criticising Prem, and when Prem unwittingly assigned himself to being my lackey! I remember when I was doing my story about the princess of prostitutes and he was doing his lame story that was a total rip-off of mine XD We always commented on each others work - I gave him good advice, and he said 'those chicks are whores.' Good times. More recently, since I've been so active on OB, a lot of cool things happened. First and foremost, I married Fyxe! It was cool because I just happened to be enjoying the best weekend ever (I can't remember what was so special that was going on, but I remember being startled by how much fun I was having. Since that weekend i have yet to fall into any major depression, period!) and it was all topped off when on Sunday night, we got married! That was really unforgetable, especially because I was a transvestite, and she was a double-transvestite lol. Um... and then I guess there was earlier today when Mitch got banned XDDDD naw, I kid.
