I cannot even begin to say what a relief it is to see this post. James, you are a hero to these boards. OB to me is someplace that needs more smart decisions like this.
lol, I thought of posting something about a collective sigh of relief resounding across the boards, but then I remembered how the same would probably said if I were getting banned and decided to keep my mouth shut XD It's funny, cuz I was actually about to send a complaint to James about it, but it was already taken care of... maybe there'll be less pointless arguing that makes no sense for a while now >_

I have no problem with Slipknot. They used to be one of my favorite bands growing up. I don't like the songs where he's like crying and throwing up into the microphone and ****, but they have some great stuff, especially on their third album. My favorite song of theirs would have to be Pulse of the Maggots. I'm not much for the son'gs message, but it's a cool song nonetheless.
I think I have a new favorite for you. Have you heard about this great band... Lothlorian's Ogrish Melanol? It's headed up by real live trolls, so you know it's the real deal. Someone's been working on English translations of their songs for years, but since there's no Troll Rosetta Stone it's not going so well. Their true fans call them by their Troll name, but I dare not write it here. But guess what? They hate Slipknot too. There's a whole song about it. They've managed to translate that one since there's not a troll word for Slipknot. They just say it in English. Ogres and Leprechuans do the back up. It's one of DJ Rumpelstiltskin's final productions... right before he got eaten by that dragon.
2 months ago this would have been damn hilarious. Now that Jake isn't even around anymore, it's just monotonous.
Well, I have started to becme desensitized to A7X. For 1 big reason... I love Breaking Benjamin! Can't explain thr obsession, I blame my first concert ever. The first concert I went to featured Shelflyfe and Breaking Benjamin. Shelflyfe is from Rochester NY, so not many have heard of them outside of NY, I think anyways! Bullet for my Valentine is another good band, I bought their CD recently. And I must say, they are da bomb! Now I haven't heard much of Cradle of Filth, but they're good. Yet it's hard to find anything from them around here, go figure!
I think that first concert has a lot to do with it. I have a friend who's a complete idiot when it comes to music and he pretty much hates every bit of music there is. It's funny cuz he listens to it constantly, but he will only listen to like 1 song by a band and he doesn't know that many. The only band he's always liked all the music of is Rammstein... that ws until him, I, and a few of his goth friends went to see Static X in concert. He immediately became obsessed with Static X and basically declared them his new favorite band, even though he's only really listened to their newest album  Anyway, if you like bullet for my valentine and A7X you're basically entirely inclined to like Trivium. The three of them seem to share a lot of the same fans, and they are all a little similar, though personally for me I love City of Evil and hate anythiing else that any of the three bands have ever done. Also, in the case of CoF, i haven't heard much, but I can't stand Dani Filth in the slightest, nor his crappy vocals. The few songs I have heard sucked except their cover of Hallowed Be Thy Name which is among my faves...
Winner ... the Pooh.
is i too late to change my choice for best underground post? That's the greatest thing evar. I cannot ignore this opportunity for shameless advertisment. The greatest thing to ever grace youtube has arrived, created by my brother and I. Project Awesomeness - Episode One - my brother is being all emo about how our video isn't getting any views >_> It originally was going to be a movie for which we were recording all kinds of clips, but when I realized we had about 15 minutes worth of material and wouldn't be able to fit it as a movie, i decided it would be better as a series. These clips happen to be some of our less rediculous recordings, but I slipped a couple of my favorites into the mix. Please leave comments!

DB had found himself in a less-than-savory position. He had been given the knowlege that could prevent the end of Otakuboards, but unfortuanetally he was turned into a penguins. Plural because his mind was actually placed into a large group of penguins at the same time. He had chosen one penguin as the one which would bear his words, whilst the others were all effectively mindless. Unfortuanetally, he had now been crushed under a crazy woman's shoes. His guts would have been fine if they'd been placed back in his body, but now they had been eaten byt the guy who smelled like marshmellowes and now, maceral. His flattened body offered no ability to move nor speak. That's when DB remembered his magical ability to make texboxes appear over his head. With all his strength he summoned a black box over his head and filled it with text. "Rez plz."

I thought you hand;ed it wonderfully Takuya. I think your method will come to be really cool throughout the rp and you've already shown it leads to some cool tactical stuff. I look forward to how she'll be acting in action.

to Allamorph: Sorry to get your hopes up, but the rating is applied just to the underground. The thread itself will be M for the sole reason that everything me or Prem has ever done has had sex and violence. No0w, this story id far more advanced than anything we've ever done, but that doesn't stop it. To Prem: Argh, you non-rpg person. Here's the alignment chart. Lawful Good - Neutral Good - Chaotic Good Lawful Neutral - Neutral - Chaotic Neutral Lawful Evil - Neutral Evil - Chaotic Evil

Oi. I find it kind of funny that I thought of this before D_W and White began posting their story and yet our project is kind of similar. Premonition and I are going to do a dual story work, and since all partnership projects are apparently to be done in the arena, we will be doing it there. In light of this, we're going to do this as a 2 person rp and we'll be posting our sign-ups here. Note that the main thread is reserved to me and Prem alone, but anyone can post here with comments and critique if they like. The story will be illustrated in the main thread. Here's my sign-up. Prem, base your structure off of this. Name: Joe Haughm Age: 16 Gender: Male Alignment: Chaotic/Neutral Role: Apprentice Marksman Weapon/s: Appearance, background and personality will be detailed in the story itself. Also, Prem, since I haven't had the chance to discuss this with you - our weapons can come from any era. It would even probably be better if you had melee weapons or whatever you prefer.

The post is up! Hooray! Okay, so i skipped everyone ahead to 6:30 so we'd all be at the same time. I think setting everyone at different times was prolly a bad idea since it's hard to keep track of you and plan out major events ahead of time. Anyway, I didn't jump right into a big event, since i have to give the 2 new guys a little time to come into the community, which is grand because now rather than them coming on day 2 then having to wait to initiate the coming event, I can do it at the start of day 2. I'd suggest you all make your next couplr posts round off your characters day with whatever they have planned so I can get into it. I've laid down a little groundwork with some basic hints as to what's coming. Within a week or so the real action begins, hehehe...

6:30 PM ?Cut cut cut cut cut you up?? Julian was lightly singing along to the music coming into his ears through his iPod while he read the book he?d gotten from the library. He couldn?t concentrate too much on it for his thoughts were on the oddities he?d encountered at this place - and why did he seem to bump into so many people?! He glanced down at his watch. ?Six thirty? ?really?? He had lost himself completely in in the words of Poe and the voice of Davy Havoc - well, now he knew there was no chance of making it to that teleporting class. For a moment he wondered if that girl might be disappointed. Oh well; he decided to head out and find some food. *** Vanyel was walking around her room. Having left class an hour ago, she?d spent a while studying reading, but now she was walking about a bit anxiously. Every few seconds she?d disappear for a split second to reappear in the same place. She was practicing teleportation. ?You have an extraordinary learning ability,? the teacher had told her, and assured her wholeheartedly that she would come to learn her powers in mere weeks. Vanyel had admittedly been a bit excited that she was considered exceptional and was hyped for her practice. *** Dante had spent the past 30 minutes staring at a plant. After his elements class he had gone and eaten, spending the whole time staring at his water. Now he was utterly focused on this small potted plant on his windowsill. Or rather, his concentration was on the soil that it?s roots grew from. He had smelled it, tasted in, felt it, and was staring at it intently. He had truly become one with the dirt, so why wouldn?t it move for him?! His mind was strained. Just then, a few little specs of dirt rolled. Dante was shocked. ?Did I?? he looked at it closer and more intently, focusing as hard as he could on the dirt. A whole clod of dirt turned over! ?YES!!!!? Dante through his fist in the air and swelled with joy. *** Levon hadn?t expected to sleep as long as he did, but he felt rested and ready to take on the day. That is, until he stood up and felt his 4 meals churn in his gut hideously. He was lucky that the club he planned to visit didn?t some together until 10 PM. It was probably their own way of weeding out those they didn?t feel worthy. In the meantime, the bathroom beckoned? *** Thomas was sitting up on his bed, eyes closed, and deep in thought. He didn?t know if he would cry or be happy, or if he should just let it go. No matter how much he tried searching his mind, he couldn?t find chocolate. The class he had been to was lame and the teacher sucked - he definitely wasn?t going to go there again. He was fraught with contemplation. Chocolate was his only real companion. Had he been left alone? On the other hand, Chocolate always made fun of him. If he wanted to move forward in his relationships, could he do so with his mocking conscious always attacking him? The last thing Chocolate said echoed in his mind? was this all the doing of that damn old man? For a minute, Thomas was angry at the old man, but then maybe this was the old guy?s way of giving him a chance. After all, he had already talked to several people since he had been there. Maybe he should find them? *** When Cho had made it to the cafeteria, the girls were already gone. Damn, I guess I love the water a little too much? She grabbed a bite to eat and headed back to her room to finish checking it out. Her mind kept returning to that awkward smile Shay had given her before? but it probably meant nothing anyway. She needed a shower to get the chlorine out of her hair. *** After they ate lunch together, Shay and Dusty sought out what there was to do in this crazy place. Shay seemed to be bored of half the things she saw, though they hadn?t covered nearly as much ground as they thought. Outwardly the appearance of Esper Hall completely belayed the scope of how massive it really was. Shay had thought of inviting the girl back to her room, but she held back on that thinking of all the dirty posters she had hung up. She wouldn?t want to freak out her potential girlfriend, so she was more happy when Dusty invited her to come back to her own room instead. Thanks to Joe for those wild maps, otherwise there?s no way they?d have been able to find their way? *** Chloe was positively giddy. She?d already called her mom simply because she couldn?t resist doing so any longer, and she?d only just settled down long enough to open one of the books she?d been given and start to read it. With the hand that wasn?t holding the book open she gently pet her gecko. ?I think mom might have been right about this place!? Chapter Two: ?And The Druids Turn to Stone Joe closed his cell phone and sighed as deeply as he even knew how. He?d gotten a call from the bus driver at Esper Hall - sure enough two more new arrivals were on their way over. Seriously, what the hell guys? I mean, did one of you ******** put out a commercial? This isn?t funny! I?ve got a lot of **** to do as it is, please don?t make my life any harder! Ugh. So anyway, luckily the call has said that these two were older than any of the new arrivals from the previous day. Tucking his cell-phone into his shirt pocket, Joe readied himself for giving another tour of the building, standing out in the front path of the building. It was a warm evening that would probably end in a beautiful night. Even Joe wasn?t planning on ending this night alone. In a way, he felt sorry for the newcomers who wouldn?t have anyone to hang out with on a nice night like tonight - not that they deserved it as much as he did. ?And you really don?t think there?s anything to all this?? That voice was a far greater pain in the *** than any of these new arrivals. Joe turned to the old bastard Liam wearing a look of pure disdain. The old man?s iron-pressed suit might as well have been read and there ought to have been horns poking from his skull. ?It?s not to say I don?t find it odd, but coincidences do happen. Unless you?re trying to tell me you had a hand in this mess, in which case I?m worried of what insidious scheming you?ve lent yourself to.? ?He he he? ah, my boy, I didn?t have anything to do with this, but I?d be damned if I won?t use this as an opportunity-? Joe immediately cut in. ?Now listen, you old son of a *****. You?re not getting to these kids - I won?t let you. I?ll have you know that your funding doesn?t give you power - what you will do for us in charity is all good and fine, but you have no power over anyone in Esper hall, as you are well aware. You aren?t a mage, and you aren?t our leader. There hasn?t been an exodus of a member of this community in a hundred years, but don?t think we?re afraid if you overstep your boundaries.? The old man gave a look of annoyance to these words, but curved it into a smirk. ?I think you completely and utterly misunderstand my intentions, boy. I am no draconian ruler nor do any of my aspirations even come near such a thing. You look so much to my past ideals and fail to even think of new things that may have come to my knowledge.? there was a brief pause as the old man invited his audience to speak. ?Enlighten me then, if you would be so kind,? Joe responded with a hint of sarcasm. ??The druids gather round and the chants fill the air; their echoes resound and the living world stops turning. The magic words are spoken as we leave the plain in silence. Now the circle stands alone, and the druids turn to stone.? ?Stonehenge I?m guessing? Never heard that passage.? ?It?s a song lyric, I doubt you would have.? ?Okay, old man. So what the hell are you talking about?? The old man let out a know-it-all sigh. ?The song itself was written by a very wise and knowing esper who is believed to a be a mage himself. He?s an old friend of mine and he?s given me a tip to something big happening in the near future. And when I mean big, I mean the scale of which will effect the world or more.? ?I see. And you really believe that 11 new members of esper hall are significant to this? I think it?s more than obviously a coincidence.? ??believe whatever makes you happy. You obviously won?t know what I?m thinking until I act.? ?That may not be acceptable, if you?re going to try and effect the community.? The old man gave a sharp, angered look. ?I don?t give a damn.? He teleported off. Behind him, Joe heard the van approaching. The old fart would have to wait.

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, it was Hero on this side of the Atlantic, something about kids acting like ninjas if they saw it in the title...
O_o I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit. You poor deprived children... anyway, the first show I ever fell in love with (ignoring Barney and Sasame Street) was Power Rangers. I have a truckload of power rangers toys, and my favorite was always the blue ranger since I identified with him (the smart guy in the glasses and all) and he was blue >_> I think I kept up with it through the first 2 seasons and then generally lost interest. I still remember having the cassette tapes and listening to them all the time. My favorite had to be... "White - ranger tiger power, white - ranger tiger power, white - ranger tiger power! white - ranger tiger power! tiger power! tiger power, now!" Up next comes Beast Wars, which my brother and I are actually marathoning right now. I own pretty much every damn Beast Wars action figure there is, all in this huge bucket. I have the whole original line, too. I think I started to loose interest near the very end of the series, but when I was watching it I was basically obsessed. I still remember waking up in the morning and it would be the 'power block', the theme song of which was 'POWERIN' UP THE POWER BLOCK!!!!!!' I remember a couple other shows that I watched to a lesser extent during those times. I definitely remember Beetleborgs and VR Troopers which I considered both sad Power Rangers knock-offs that I was mildly interested in. My next big obsession would be Pokemon, which I was introduced to just befroe it became popular and remained intensely into long after it was no longer cool to like it. Basically everyone in third grade made fun of me for always wearing Pokemon T-shirts. Anywho, at that time I was also watching all the classic cartoon-cartoons. Ed Edd n' Eddy was always my favorite, and I watched Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls more sparingly, along with all those others. Captain Planet was one that I didn't see as much, but every time I saw it I loved it. I'm known to this day for breaking into the theme song at random times. Some others that I know I liked but don't know when I was watching them were Gumbi, the occasional Animaniacs, a little Freakazoid... There are a couple shows that I had like one random VHS of but I never knew where to find the show to watch it. Gargoyles was one of them, as well as an obscure cartoon known as Rude Dog that I seem to be the only one who's ever heard of, but i was obsessed with it back when I was tiny. I remember that when it comes to the old Toonami shows, I couldn't understand most of them. Shows like Tenchi, Reboot, and Sailor Moon (which I just thought was the epitome of girly and I was alwas a manly man) went over my head. Oh, and to the Boss; Thundercats is of course the greatest!
Well that was fun to read. I rather liked people's reason's for choosing things. And I'm surprised that others found Eliana's death unexpected. Still I expected to only get the most annoying and whinny player award. I was expecting DB to sneak in a prank card to that effect. lol Also upon reflection I have to agree with Sandy about the ruthless bit, indifference was extremely vicious. I thought we couldn't vote for her. lol Still I would have given SunfallE my vote, since she did clobber two of my characters with just one post. >_< Also, congrats on the wacky death and the most brutal BKstyles. I mean I'm still getting the knee jerk reflection of WTF over the cat being sat on. Though the torched alive is more of a cringing over how painful that would be. Also... 600th post! *snags*
lol, i actually seriously considered making a card that said 'whiny *****' on it or something and giving it to you, but after making that whole post I was pooped XD -
oi, sorry this rp ahs been blank lately. I have a ton of responsibilities I've been catching up on, but now that the Panopticon is fully over and my schedule is out of wack again, I can get back to work on this. Don't post for a lil nit - I'm going to rbing in Ch 2 now. I was originally planneing to wait till day 2 but that's not happening at this rate, and besides this rp is all about the crazy - right-o. Workin on it.
Just some clarification for you DB. 'Destroyer' was Blackout. The crazy little robot was Frenzy, who was originally a tape that transformed into a robot that popped out of Soundwave's chest compartment. (Soundwave was a tape deck in alt mode.) Kup not Cup. And the reason Starscream didn't fight much and or talk much was because in the prequel novel he was the leader of the Decepticons for hundreds of years before they found Megatron and he simply does not want Megatron to live but, of course, Bay decides not to allude to this at all during the movie and thus Starscream looks kinda forced or put in there for just added muscle. And as for the 'backwater Transformers' thats where you're actually kinda mistaken. Jazz, Ironhide, Bumblebee, and Ratchet were all mainstay characters in the cartoon. Granted Ironhide and Ratchet bit the dust when the Decepticons attacked the shuttle to Autobot City in the '87 movie, they were big in the first and second season so they are in fact NOT 'backwater Transformers' but, hey, thats okay cause you don't know any better. Should look up the seasons and watch them. Staple of many of our childhoods here.
You are not the first to tell me these things, lol. Had this convo elsewhere. Also, since the sequel in already confirmed, we all know it will definitely be better, and plus it's confirmed that the dinobots and constructacons will be in it! Oh, and blackout was the copter guy. "destrover" was my accidental name for "devastator" which they called the tank, but that's been confirmed to be corrected in the DVD with the guy who's actually a tank.

Joseph Crim was ready for battle. No; he was ready for anything. He no longer needed to sense his opponents - they had gotten close so that their stench was reaching him. Joseph had traveled in many groups before, and he knew to keep tension to a minimal. In this situation where he knew little about the power of his teammates, he would need to see their strength in battle before he could formulate any way to strategize with them. The two weaker members of the group had planned to use themselves as a distraction to get rid of the smaller enemies first before tackling the voracious eaters. A fundamentally flawed plan. If the other enemies were to wear them down, they?d be nothing to the voracious eaters, and besides if they were busy killing the smaller foes, the bigger ones could get to their weaker fighters easily. Joseph was thrown off a little by the poor foresight of his teammates, but he remembered that many hunters were far greater fighters than they were thinkers. Were these teammates to be lacking in both categories, he would be sorely disappointed. Other members of his group seemed to be of high power and likely were planning to do just as he was. Using the fray to their advantage, a group of highly skilled fighters would easily pinpoint the more powerful attackers and overtake them while the weaker ones were distracted. Joseph turned his eyes to the young woman with the blindfold and the girl clinging to her staff. Both were wielders of magic, but he knew nothing of their rank. He couldn?t tell if the dead expressions on their faces were from confidence in their abilities or an underestimation of the enemy?s. Before he could finish that thought, though, the first enemy appeared over the hill that their path continued on. It was a sole Yuma with a devilish grin spread wide across it?s face. ?You pathetic humans! We have killed all who stroll this path and no man, not even a hunter has ever overwhelmed us! You worthless warriors will be our meal!? The monster raised it?s head to cackle maniacally but stopped at the sound of approaching footfalls. ?Eh?? The beast beamed it?s eyes downward to see an axe lodged deep into it?s collar bone, blood shooting from the crevice. The monster knew only fear and pain as it?s consciousness slipped away. Just as Joseph was dislodging his weapon from the beast?s chest, another demon?s hand shot through the dead one?s stomach and stabbed itself into Joseph?s shoulder. At this point, though, the other warriors had caught up to him. ?What the hell?! We had a plan!? Ky called as he rushed past the older hunter and drove his blade through the dead Yuma?s chest and into the face of the monster behind it. Ignoring Ky?s complaint, Joseph grabbed the wrist of the hand sticking into his chest and quickly pulled it out, letting the arm fall limp. With the other melee fighters at his sides and the long-distance warriors a bit behind, Joseph prepared for the approaching Yuma in battle position.

Allamorph: Most Ruthless: SunfallE, if only so she gets it unanimously, and because I think it's funny. Darren: : SunfallE, of course BKStyles: Most Ruthless: Er...duuuuh. SunfallE >.>, lol SunfallE: Besides myself? ^_~ I?d say Sandy since he never hesitated to kill, ever. Indifference: SunfallE For obvious reasons. Rachmaninoff: SunfallE I'm sure you saw that one coming. 21st Century Digital Boy: I guess SunfallE for her actions in chapter 3. Winner? Eliana Cedes falling from the sky into the acid pit Rachmaninoff: Eliana Cedes since by the time Allamorph got done with that post I was not expecting anyone to die. Let alone someone from a different party than the group he was posting about. And naturally she just had to by my character no less. Indifference: Eliana Cedes I was not expecting Allamorph to kill someone from a different party so it was surprising. SunfallE: This is hard since there are several that surprised me. Hmmm? I guess in the end I?d have to choose Alcuin, because when I PK?d Allamorph I was expecting you to kill someone else. BKStyles: Satasha floating off with Lucia Allamorph: Merik Jeffers, at the hands of Sinister Sam Sandy Sandy: None of the deaths were unexpected, it was already established from the beginning that all but one characters will die. But just for the heck of it, I'll say the death of Lucia Travera. I thought people would've wanted to expand her relationship with Sastasha more... DB: A lot were rather surprising, though I think the biggest one was when BKStyles killed Delilah (partly cause I could?ve sworn she was his character O_o) Honestly, I thought everyone was out for blood on Brittany because of what I did to her, which was pissing me off, but on that same coin I really liked Delilah as well. I was mad to see her go, but I made up for it by making Alcuin into one of my favorite characters. I hated having to choose between him and Brittany later? Winner? Dafine Hecata! Rachmaninoff: Dafine even though she didn?t get developed enough. Indifference: Dafine Though she needed more character development (*DB snickers*)SunfallE: Delita. No other character was developed to the point where she was part of the entity that was the Maze or the Panopticon. Making her unique across all three games. BKStyles: Delita, she turned from quiet calculating retrieval agent to eternal onlooker of doom. Darren: Dafine, since she was the only one who wasn't really a human Allamorph: Oromis Tu'Wail. He developed into a much different persona than the rest of his stereotypical counterparts...excepting Meredith and Brittany, whom we seemed to spend a little more time on Sandy: Most original character? Definitely my Dafine, by far! ;D DB: Meh. I absolutely did not want Dafine to win because as long as she lasted, she was an incredibly boring character for me. Besides, she wasn?t the only centuries-old animal person there, *points to Shilos* but anyway, my vote goes to Brittany. She was so many different characters throughout. Winner? Brittany Cossentine Rachmaninoff: Brittany, from the punishment, to what DB did to her to being turned into a cat only to be sat on! Indifference: Brittany I may have started her path into Hell, but the rest of you certainly finished it. SunfallE: Mary, I really felt sorry for her underdog personality. I was surprised that she lived so long only to get whacked off when she started taking off. BKStyles: Nadia Dylinda...that imprisonment was harsh. Sandy: Most sympathetic for me was Brittany Cosentine, for all the trouble she was put through DB: I did feel sorry for Mary at times simply because she was so frail and clung to Lucia with all her might. I also felt sorry for the onlooker near the end since she suffered so much, but Brittany definitely takes the cake in the end. When she closed the door on Oromis, that was a powerful image. Winner?Brittany the cat sat on by Oromis Rachmaninoff: Brittany, I mean seriously? Getting sat to death? Indifference: Brittany, because what cat is dumb enough to get sat on? SunfallE: Brittany, I mean hell! She got sat on! It doesn?t get any wackier. BKStyles: If Brittany the Cat doesn't win this one i'm gonna throw some major popcorn >.> DB: ****ing BKStyles and his cat post. Honestly that pissed me off so much I wanted to puke Winner?TIE! The trap where the assassins inadvertently killed each other AND the trap where the two teams had to switch keys to open slots. Rachmaninoff: The one where BKstyles killed off two of the assassins by having them betray each other. Indifference: Where BKstyles killed off two of the assassins. That was slick (*DB starts to get creeped out*) SunfallE: The one at the end by Allamorph. Where the exit was a shredder no less. Poor Mary! LOL! BKStyles: The Room of Mirrors, poor poor Lucia. Darren: Well, it was created by me, but I like the way Allamorph took it... The acid trap that Eliana died in... They had the choice to kill someone and took Eliana down... I doubt it will get any other votes, but that was my favorite Allamorph: Merik's game, by Sandy. It was reduced/reused/recycled twice, though, which showed a slight lack of creativity.... Sandy: Don't really remember the traps... I did like the one where two groups had to switch keys and beware of the falling floor at the same time, though DB: It?s hard to determine the most original. Some of the best were imitations. Allamorph?s last one came from Cube and my mirror trick was inspired by the Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker. I didn?t think BK?s whole assassin thing was so special, but maybe that?s cuz I was mad about loosing Moatilliata and the fact that her personality was so altered, heh. Anyway, in the end, my vote goes to Allamorph?s terraforming room. Most epic thing ever. Winner? Katar Dakit! Rachmaninoff: Katar, if only because he was such a jackass Indifference: Katar, I was sorry I didn?t get the chance to imprison him. That would have been interesting since I already had a horrible punishment in mind. SunfallE: Meredith. I really hated her. Heh, I know it was Darren?s intent but still I wanted her dead. BKStyles: That would go to Katar ;P DB: Hate to bandwagon, but god did I hate Katar? Winner? Nadia Dylinda being raped by dark elves Rach: Without a doubt Nadia?s with the dark elves. *shudder* Indifference: Well since I wrote them I?ll say which was my favorite to write up and that was Brittany. Putting little miss Christian into a living hell was fun (*DB sighs in relief XD) SunfallE: Alcuin, just the thought of being attacked by mechanical spiders is enough to creep me out. BKStyles: Nadia's for sure Allamorph: The rapist elves. 'Nuff said Winner? Delilah Rousseau is lit on fire then dumped into a sea of gasoline Rach: This is harder, but I?d have to say in the end I?d have to go with Delilah Indifference: Delilah, need a light? SunfallE: Delilah, I?d call being roasted alive pretty brutal. Sandy: The most brutal death... There were too many to tell. The deaths of Mary and Etamet related to the Fate Card were quite brutal, in my opinion. DB: Had to be Delilah. While I think the way Lucia was cut by the lasers was the most cool-looking, it doesn?t quite compare to the sea of flames. Winner? 3-WAY TIE! Body Switch, Poison, and PK Card Rach: Poison, even though the PK card was the most shocking the poison was more fun in that it forced others to reveal their hand, exposing them. Indifference: Poison by far, it was a true psychological card, forcing players to either sit back and watch their character die, or expose them by saving them only to die anyway. (*creeped out again?*) SunfallE: There were a lot that I liked, but the one I liked the best was the body switch card. It made things confusing and fun at the same time BKStyles: PK Card = teh win Sandy: Best card? The Death Card. Especially when you get to use it first every time. ... Wait, I know a better one: the Dual Death Card. Winner? Chapter 3! Rach: definitely number three with all the wacky cards Indifference: Three, those cards were fun to watch. Especially the PK card and the Ditto card. SunfallE: Three, because that chapter was insane. BKStyles: Chapter three was most fun, with the original individual cards and all Allamorph: 3. Plot literally exploded into existence Sandy: Best chapter was in my opinion number 3, and it should've ended to that. The fourth chapter felt just a filler and an unnecessary rematch DB: I agree with Sandy. Chapter 4 was shit? Winner? TIE! Oromis Tu?Wail and Lucia Travera! Rach: I liked Lucia the best. So even though she didn?t make it out, I was glad Sandy gave her a happy death. [if such a thing is possible Indifference: Lucia but then I?m a therapist myself so I?m kind of biased in that respect. It?s a good thing Sandy gave her a good after death. Otherwise I would have had to hurt you DB. SunfallE: Brittany, even though I hated her at first. She went through so many changes that I was kind of sad to see her die. BKStyles: Oromis, he became a group staple that people came to depend on Sandy: My favorite was probably Delita in her Eternal Onlooker form (yes, the winning character). DB: TOUGH! When I latch onto a character I really latch onto them! Well, by the end my favorite was the E.O. simply because I spent so much time working on her and we all truly collaborated on evolving her from a robot in a human body to a full human being. Her ending really pleased me, and yes I?m aware I wrote it :p I also loved Brittany, because of what I did with her. Delilah was among my favorites because she had such a complicated mind, though I think too many people had too many different ideas with her. Also, of course I was a huge fan of Meredith. Her entire personality was beautiful. I?m glad Rach?s kill was so well-done or I?d have strangled him over killing her. Winner? BKStyles! Rach: BKstyles. I think he had the most unexpected and original posts Indifference: BKstyles. For creativity as well as being funny and following up beautifully with what SunfallE set up with Lucia and Katar. He was quite diverse. SunfallE: Allamorph, even though he didn?t post as often as the others, some of those longer posts of his were really well thought out and stretched the boundaries. Sandy: I honestly can't say who the best writer was. There were so many great ones DB: Allamorph. The way he wrote himself into the story and really freed things up to be more psychological and otherworldly was amazing Winner? SunfallE! Rach: SunfallE, without a doubt. All you have to do is go back through the thread to see how she consistently posted as well as stepping in and getting everyone going again in the underground thread when things got heated. From poking Allamorph to her wise cracks about no freebies she kept us from giving up in frustration. And even in the end, with no death card she really shook things up, showing that winning isn?t everything. She was a true player to the very end Indifference: SunfallE, no one was as consistent as she was. Not only did she play her cards well, but she got people going in the underground thread by subtly patching up the fights and then posting in the main thread to get everyone back on track. And even in the end, with no death card she carefully inserted more chaos to make it more interesting for everyone. She was definitely the one who played the game to the fullest and made the most of it. (*DB hopes he?s not the only one who noticed this XD*) SunfallE: BKstyles, he was the most diverse as well as having good writing skills. BKStyles: Myself. Darren: Rachmaninoff Allamorph: BKstyles, and not just because he won, either. Sandy: Best overall player must've been SunfallE. She was the most enthusiastic, the most active and the best strategist, in my opinion. She deserves this title, through and through. DB: I?m with almost everyone else. SunfallE was the best player simply because she was in it to make the most out of it. Now, I?d almost vote for Allamorph simply because the rest of you are a bunch of brats who gave me a ton of lip, but he wasn?t around enough to deserve it :p *** Holy frikkin jesus, that took me 2 hours. You spoiled litle brats better be grateful for once XD -
Post quality is all over Otakuboards, and it is in some way what holds the board together. It's the one golden rule everyone follows that truly makes OB the place it is - a place of intelligent discussion. By no means would I suggest that we diminish the post quality. The issue I speak of is the quality of story for RPs. While still remaining in the boundaries of post quality, I think any kind of rp should be allowed.
I thought I was the only one who felt that way. There is not a single word in what you just said that I don't agree with. Well, maybe the James mention. I don't know him too well or his impression of me. As for as being accepted goes, I never felt I've belonged anywhere. All my friends are pretty much not connected to me anymore. I've figured that out when I had to watch Pirates 3 by myself. And lastly, I have very terrible people skills. I don't think it's mild autism, I think it's just me. No matter were I've been, whether it was a bus, school, online, I've always felt like the scoundrel. So this is why I stay here. As weird as it may seem, I'd rather be in a place like this with post standards than a lawless forum. Even with the fear that I would likely be banned for poor post quality or spam, the fear is a goal for me to try to better myself.
Awww... you should join my [strike]harem slave-crew army[/strike] club. Basically, most of the members who feel that way are in it :animesmil Anyway, the number one rule of survival at OB is that if they don't have a modrod, don't do anything they tell you regardless of how old they are. The mods are respectable, but everyone is is just a jerk if they're looking down on you. Remember, equal rights!

Okay. I watched the first Transformers movie before going into this, and it happens to be one of my all-time favorite movies even though I've seen none of the original Transformers TV series (I've seen all of Beast Wars and glimpses of the horrid Unicron trilogy) I think I'll do what the op did, since it only seems fair to judge this movie in that manner. There wil be spoilers all throughout, and since it would be easier to read if I don't make it all covered in black, I suggest you simply don't read if you don't want it spoiled. Movie-Goer Review this movie did more things right than wrong, but the things it did wrong were quite heavy. The biggest problem I had with this movie was the entire 30 minutes around 3/4 of the way through that were entirely retarded, nonsensical, and almost ruined the whole movie. Before I get to that, though, I'll do a front-to-back movie review. The begining was awesome. One of my favorite things about this movie was actually the dialogue which was all very realistic and done well in my opinion. When the troups talked amongst each other, or when Sam was with his little friends, I appreciated that aspect of the movie. The first magor destruction scene shared one thing with all the others in the movie - a really beautiful eyesore. Thing is, the CG is amazing, the explosions are beauitful, the sound quality is outstanding, and the giant robots kick boatloads of ***. So where's the problem? The ****ing camera. It's like someone had a camcorder and didn't know where to look. The cameras are jumpy, move to much, and at times focus simply on entirely the wrong crap. In one scene where
the spastic little freak robot attacks Sam and the love interest
you can't tell what's going on for the entirety of it. The camera's will sometimes not focus on the action or focus on the wrong part of it so you can't really see what the hell happened. This was the biggest problem in scenes with the spazz robot because it was increadibly nimated and it moved around a lot, doing many things at once - something that should have been showcased rather than avoided. Now, this sort of camera work could have worked in sparce quantities or if it was reserved to one certain battle, but it happens in every action scene, making them all less enjoyable at points. Aside from the wretched battle camera, though, the cinematography was astounding. The lighting was perfect in all situations and everything had a crispness about it that made the transformers' sleek design fot right into the chaos. The best part about this was definitely the scale of it all. These looked to be giant robots doing battle on earth and they didn't skimp out on the battle scenes. That, in fact, is what makes this movie hard to review - the biggest deminishing factor was the battle camera, and yet the fight scenes were brilliant. the
very long final melee in the city
was cool as hell because it featured the kind of battle we'd expect from Transformers -
there's one fight where there's sides in a hail of crossfire while other combatants duke it out on the city streets.
Not only that, but some of the brawls were simply badass. Plus there was the destruction facter. The opening scene
with Destroyer blasting the crap out of the military base
was like something out of Mechwarrior and you could feel the power of the huge machine. Which brings me to the next thing about this movie that is hard to review - the plot. In some aspects it was good. The way they explained the backstory made sense and was interesting, and didn't seem too cheesy. Plus, as I said before, the characters and dialogue were well-written. I liked how there was sort of a dual plotline between Sam's situation and the military - it was increadibly similar to the Godzilla movie in that respect, only Sam was less important than the main character of Godzilla. On the other hands, the plot featured some absolutely crushing flaws. Some of them don't appear as much on the surface, whereas others are blatant and really ****** up. First and foremost, of course was the 30 minutes of some of the stupidest crap I've seen in a long time. From the point that the autobots all meet up there's a string of crappy events. First of all, personality wise, most of the Autobots were completely campy and exibeted features that were obviously a set up to get kids to buy these toys. The only even remotely likeable one was bumblebee.
Bumbleebee couldn't talk and he made for a good sympathetic character for all the hardships he endures. His voice didn't work, he was captured and tortured by humans, and he gets his legs torn up in the final battle. I felt generally sorry for him by then.
But the entire scene where
Sam has to go into the house to get the glasses
was perfectly ignorant. the autobots were campy and retarded to the point I nearly moaned in agony. And then
after that these agents suddenly come in and they're acting all stupid towards the characters, and they go through the trouble of driving the kids away, only for them to get stopped by the damn autobots anyway! What was the point of all that? And they put way too much focus on the stupid cop guy. When they had him strip to his undergarments and get pissed on I was frankly appalled. That whole scene nearly ruined the movie entirely at that point. I was begging the screen to turn back to the military guys or something - it was horrible.
And then there were some less blatant flaws, most namely that the whole movie makes no sense what-so-damn ever. It tides you over with action and funny stuff and memorable characters so that you don't notice te positively gaping holes in the plot. First of all,
sector seven and their entire operation is pretty unbelievable. Second, why do the autobots know all this stuff about how Sam's granddad found Megatron? did they just happen to have a camera below the arctic shelf? If they just arrived on earth, how did they gain this knowlege? Why did learning the language from the internet not effect Prime's speach habits? If they only thing that could hurt the robots was that certain high-heat substance or whatever, why were they blasting them with shotguns and rocket launchers? Why was the government so lacking in forces? Was the same troup that fought them in the desert really the only one they could bring to fight them on the street? How did they set up a bunker so quickly? Where did those extra soldiers come from at the end? Starscream was kicking some major *** against those other jets, so why did he fly off right in the heat of battle? Where the **** is Scorpinock after the desert fight? What the hell happened to the police car guy? Why did no one aid Megatron or Optimus in their final struggle rather than sit there and fire at each other? By the way, where the hell was this battle taking place? at certain parts, it seemed like they were turning corners in completely random directions and you can never tell who's dead and who's alive, so what happened anyway? What was Bumblebee firing at when he was in tow with the love interest? And where did the attacking decepticons go to? One minute they're fighting the enemy humans, the next Megatron is dead and Optimus is high-fiving his pals. Were they really dumb enough to simply drop Megatron's carcass into the ocean? Do they even know what that could do to the ecosystem?
i could on on for quite a while, but it's obvious that this movie simply leaves a whole lot of questions. All in all, this is not a thinking-man's movie. It is a movie where you go in, laugh and watch people shoot each other, then walk out feeling good about yourself. While it was a really cool movie, it wasn't a really good movie. As a Transformers fan... **** you, Micheal Bay! Okay, so here's my deal. first of all, the choices of robots were just plain stupid. I think it's more than obvious that this movie exists for no reason other than to capitalise on the franchise. 'everyone's already got hotrod toys, but not as many bumblebee! Get more bumblebee out there!'. They picked some of the lamest most backwater transformers, some of which I've never even heard of. And what the hell was that little annoying thing? That thing made me want to kill myself! Anyway,
the autobots all acted like idiots. Prime was no fearless leader, and the rest were shallow and uninteresting. And the Decepticons, my god!!! Each of them only got one line, the line where they said there name!!! WTF!!! Worst of all was Starscream though. Starscream has always been my favorite transformer. When I see Starscream, I expect an evil little bastard who fights under Megatron's rule but against him at the same time. Oh, but no, he didn't even get to talk. The only decepticon who talked was Megatron, who by the way turns into like a Tie fighter. I've seen him as a gun and a T-rex and a dragon. At least they could have used Galvatron's canon mode, but alas, no. Megatron looked like a big dumb monkey who hopped around and was filled with evil. By the way, he didn't seem at all like the intelligent calculating villain who he is. Now, there were only two moments in this movie that made me really think of the old transformers. The first is where Jazz ( I think it was him, the camera makes it so it could've been anyone) hit the cannon on the tank upward just as what Cup(sp?) did in the first movie. also, of course, when Prime and Megatron were about to show down and Optimus gave his same line before they fought in the first movie.
As has been said before, this movie is way too human and has a whole different focus than what transformers is about. Transformers has always been a massive battle between warring robot factions that occasionally happen to involve a small group of humans. This was a movie about humans being affected by a battle between opposing robot forces that was none belivable in the slightest. It should be noted that I don't hate the new movie. I think it's shallow, and the shallow part of me loved it. I can't deny the awesome of big robots, big explosions, and cool fights. But it wasn't jsut the transformers fan in me that rejects this movie - it's the fan of good storytelling that yells at this movie's gaping flaws. The first Transformers movie is amazing. The way the events are portrayed flow excellently. Every minute of it, something cool and memorable happens. Even when the robots are all dancing to weird al, you love it simply because it's done so well. The pacing is perfect, the incorporation of adventure and action into a flowing plotline is brilliant - yes it has a couple problems. Why can the Dinobots apparently fly in space? Why does it seem like they intended to kill a lot more characters and got scared and left it with a few (lol, and Prime comes back in season 3) but it's nothing so jarring as the new film. Oh, and the ending of the movie?
The Autobots stay on earth because apparently they want to protect the humans. You tell me, why the hell would the decepticon's come back?
Makes NO sense. Blegh. DB, please use spoiler tags if you're going to be talking about events in a movie. Even if you think your post looks better not covered in them. -Clurr
One can easily find them on veoh.com or crunchyroll, or parts of it on youtube. They're the ogre-like beings with huge mouths full of fangs. Physically huge, gigantic golden cat eyes, and huge protruding spines on the back. They vary from basic two legged beast to flying type and so on and so forth. However these are just regularly powered ones. Voracious Eaters are much older and stronger Youma that can extend fingers or parts of their body to impale and throw around Hunters and humans alike, as well as regenerate limbs. As with all Youma, their vital spot is their head.
Oi. I'd suggest using veoh, since crunchyroll has sold it's soul to advertisements and veoh has much bigger screens anyway, even if it's hard to navigate. In any event, it should be noted that only the stronger Claymore go for the head first. The weaker ones usually cut off both arms before attacking the head. If you've ever seen Blood + they are very similar to the Chiropterans in appearance, but Youma can talk and have a nasty attitude and always think they're on top.

I think it's not fair to seperate them. It should be okay for there to be both rps with huge backstory and plot construction as well as more loose and free ones. The only thing quality should be judged on is in posts. We obviously don't need one-liners and such crap, but it's not like every post needs to dump a boat on you. Descriminating the type of rp that's allowed is ignorant. Saying that there's no place for a less developed rp on Otakuboards is like saying 'we don't want you here.' There is no harm done by these rps. It's absolute ignorance to deny them a place on our boards.

What is Otakuboards? Home away from home. The place I reside on the internet. It is a community full of every type of person, some types in excess, lol. OB is a place where we talk about **** and we talk for real. It's not that we always take it seriously, but we talk honestly and give a real, meaningful opinion. That'swaht makes OB so great - it's a community that begs you to lay everything out on the table and let us all see each other for real. It's a place full of the people I know. I know some better than others - some are more reserved or just haven't been around long enough to show themselves, but eventually we all get to know each other. To me, Otakuboards is in every post we make, and every thread we create. It is the drama of the Panopticon Underground, the conflict of the Otaku Lounge, the remniscnce of the Entertainment boards, the silly goofing-off os me PMing Premonition, the personal talks with Fyxe, the serious discussions with Indifference, the holy crap that was weird messages from Raiha, and so many more. It is the essay-length posts of Mitch and Allamorph, the sarcastic humor of Sara and DeathKnight, the one-liners of DeadSeraphim and Charles, the kind remarks of BKStyles and Aaryana and her mum, the relationships that spring up all over like Rachmaninoff and SunfallE, the brilliant stories of Dragon_Warrior, the crappy stories of Premonition and Naruto fanfic-writers. It's The Boss telling me what it means to be cool, Dagger and Desbreko talking to me about anime and giving me name changes every couple months; it's the troupe of crappy posters who I have taken as my eternal slaves, the commandeering of music threads by myself and Jakehammaren, seeing my RPs come to life at the hands of talented role-players like Darren and Wet_Cement, and seeing the amazing artwork of people like Delta and Jigglyness. Otakuboards is Otakuboards, through and through. How you feel about it is up to you - I know I wouldn't have it any other way.

meh. I very rarely have dreams (well, the kind you actually act in) but I always remember the ones I have. In fact, before about a 2 years ago there was a long time where I didn't have a songle dream, then I moved and after I while I started getting them again. My dreams, in my opinion, tell me how i feel about people. At least that's my opinion, since all the dreams I have usually take place at school or with people I talk to at school. The reason for this is probably because when I lay in bed I usually thik about the people i know at school and how I wish I could be better friends with them. Yes, I'm that lame. I can only vividly remember a few of them. I remember like 6 months ago there was this girl who i talked to a lot - I can't say that I really liked her, since we were so increadibly different, but every time I had PE we would talk for like 30 minutes (usually about the same crap, XD) I had a couple weird dreams about her, but one that really struck me was one where I accidently knocked her down a sort of knoll or small hill into an area with these bushes - I remember she was laying down, and I went and layed down next to her and was hugging her - yeah, it was kind of odd. There was one i had a week after school ended that I think was of utmost significance. It was another school dream, but like in most of my school dreams, the school was nothing like any I've been to (I've been to like 15) and in this particular drea, it was super futuristic. In fact it was actually just like a school from a different school dream I'd had long before - also similar in that it was insanely long. At the end, though, it was the last day of school and everybody was leaving in a massive wave, though it was taking a long time because the place was so complex. At regular intervals, I kept running into people I had known from school. What was interesting about it, though, was the people I met. Most of the people I hold significant and plan to meet in the future weren't there. On the other hand, a lot of people that I didn't plan on seeing again I was there saying goodbye to. In fact, I met that girl from the other dream in a place that was sort of like a bomb shelter and said goodbye, lol. the weirdest one, though, was my friend who graduated this past year. We were on these conveyer-belt walkways, but we were both on opposite ones that were about 20 feet apart. There were a ton of people, so I could only barely see him. He was waving at me with his car keys in hand (significant because he always did this to tell me he could give me a ride home that day). I yelled, "It was really freaking hard to find your house!" This is because he lives in my neighboorhood, and my brother and I rode our bikes around looking for his house which took us forever because our neighboorhood is so complicated. Odly enough, this was only the day before I had this dream. Oh, I just remembered an increadibly strange one I had about a month ago that scared the living crap out of me... It started out when my little brother (14 yrs) was hit by a truck and died. The entire dream was me suffering from the hardship of his death. For the first few days i just sat in bed and cried and slept. Afterward I was trying to cope but failing miserable. I remember being in this really odd classroom and at even the slightest word that could remind me of him I would burst out crying. I remember the dream lasted almost 2 weeks and I was so sad that I almost feel like crying right now thinking about it. I NEVER EVER want to see that happen. Period. I have some other strange recurring dreams, though they can wait till post two...
