there are some really odd and seemingly pointless changes in here... for some reason the names of people in your buddy list who are online ae shown in bright-*** red. It's... disturbing... and also, i believe the sidebar is minus 3 smilies, bot that any of them were particularly good ones. I think it used to be collums of three and now a longer box with collums of two? I dunno. I am overly observent of these things >_> I gotta say, though, the pull-down list of smilies seems entirely useless...
Squashed by Oromis's fat ***! What a way to go... And everyone seemed to be okay with the death... I mean, Oromis and Delita didn't seem too upset... And I get that it was just the death of a cat, but she used to be a person. Now, I have seen everything in the death-card series.
Have you seen a man eat his own head? EDIT: Looks like the last death is in the hands of Allamorph. Godspeed to he. -
Darren, you never cease to amaze me in the fact that you always seem to get my characters and intentions down pat, that was perfectly fine and I trust Joe in your hands in the future :animesmil Very nice. Also, to Fyxe, when she said 'period' did she mean... :animedepr EDIT: As a note, yall, do not use other characters unless you have permission, lest you throw their plans off.

I think I'll use Allamorph's worst death award idea just so I can vote for that one. I mean... what the hell... not even bringing up the fact that I've never heard of a cat dumb enough to get itself sat on, but... wow... yeah. -
Cancer yours is hilarious XD Anywho, my prother and I decided to do a project where we will take manga pages and edit the text to say funny things. This first one was just for us to experiment and see how it would look - it's a filler if anything, but still funny. Otakupedia Entries/Suggestions/Discussion thread
2010DigitalBoy replied to Charles's topic in General Discussion
Saw this one in the requested articles. I had no idea this forum had been so dead before. Never would've thought the Panopticon was the longest-running underground thread. Adventure Underground The Adventure Underground came into existence in mid-2004 and brought something much needed to the world of OB role-playing - order. Most of the role-plays on OB would feature posts in the threads with lots of OOC (or Out of Character) discussion happening on the sidelines. For role-plays that involved a lot of player discussion or when things got heated between members, the massive OOC portions could get in the way and were generally ugly in the main thread posts, especially for people who were just reading along with the story. The underground thread served many important purposes. The first is to discuss ideas for new role-playing games to find out if they would stand enough of a chance to be created. The next was so that all OOC discussion would be moved from the main thread, and finally it allowed a place to talk about role-playing in general. Like with the role-playing games themselves, discussions on the games require a rating so that if someone wants to follow with the underground, they will no what to expect. Some time in mid-late-2006, Jokopoko created a ?Coming Attractions? sticky for people showcasing new ideas to come. By PMing ideas to Joko, he would post them up. For whatever reason, the thread died rather quickly after creation. The vast majority of underground threads have been incredibly short-lived, especially in the early days when most died out before reaching ten posts. Only the most successful and long-running role-plays have managed to range from 50-100 posts. In recent months, the Underground threads have become more and more active, sometimes outweighing the posts in the main thread. To date, the longest running and probably most dramatic underground thread has been the one for The Panopticon Underground with well over 500 posts and still going strong. -
I figure this ought to be an interesting discussion. This is a place to discuss words that ought to exist. If there is a definition that lacks a word, do you think it should have one? Support this idea - after all if this is getting it's own word, it has to be a worthy concept. Also, if one of the suggestions actually does have a word, kindly point this out to the poor fool who didn't know it >_> Anywho, I came up with this when I was thinking of a thing that I cannot easily describe, namely since i don't think it has a word. Basically, it's like when you think of something, and it brings a certain something to mind that is connected above other connected things. For instance, when you think 'McDonalds' you probably think 'Ronald McDonald' and when you think 'Ronald McDonald' you think 'McDonalds'. Now, when you think of the Ham Burgler, you think of McDonalds as well, but not as much in vice-versa. I hope this makes more sense than I'm deriving from it >_< (and yes I'm aware that this analogy is positively begging for stupid replies) Anyway, if this phenomenon already has a word, then just ignore me >_> As for the word i would use for it... I have no idea. I'm sure theres some series of latin words that could be ued to create a reasonable term.
So, uh, any articles this week, or do I have to start banning people at random so that we can get an article on how Charles finally lost it and joined the ranks of notable bans? I'll start with 2007Digitalboy, so don't tempt me!
Won't that make you an OB hero or something? Do I even count as a random ban? I always thought I kind of constituted one... anywho, as for Canadians, Ziggy Stardust/Red 6/Cygnus X-1/Hedonismbot/whatever the hell his latest name was - was a very proud Canadian. Anywho, I prolly have an article in the works right now or something >_> so don't ban me just yet. -
What are your interests/hobbies?
2010DigitalBoy replied to Mythologicly's topic in General Discussion
My interests in hobies are the definition of my being. Really, it makes me wonder if I can even call them interests and hobbies when so muvh of my life is dedicated to them. My most prominent interest is probably music. No matter what I'm doing, I have to be listening to music along with it. It's constant and always there, looming over everything I do. It's an addiction, I'm afraid. Next would be the internet. As most anyone on these boards can tell you, just about any time I'm not asleep, i'm logged in. The internet fascinates me in many ways. It is a place to find others who share your interests and communicate with a wide variety of people. The internet is the one place I can share my opinion with people who have opinions on the same subject. Also, more recently, I've beome addicted to OB role-playing games XD Next comes anime and manga. I'm the type who they call 'elitist' cuz I won't tolerate crappy shows, and I try to... 'convert' people to watching better shows, lol. really, I am a sucker for a good story. If i can get into it, I can love it, and as a professional, wise consumer, I have expanded my collection to massive sizes (even though recently I gave almost all my SJ manga to my brothers, namely my 11 volumes of Naruto manga XD) After that comes writing. Of everything in my list, this is the one i am most torn in placement on. When I conduct writing, I do so with the idea that it is something I would love to make a career out of, and yet it is treated as little more than a hobby, because I am so lame when it comes to writing. It's something I need to work with. And finally, video games, which have very much fallen a long way down from a prominent position in which they'd have stood about 2 years ago. I barely play video games these days - I've gotten tired of all the RPG plots and when it comes to action games, I'm the type to beat it once and never care to play it again. Recently, I've thought of getting back into gaming a bit because I remember some of the great ones out there, and becasue there are some DS titles I've been gwetting addicted to. OMG, did I ever ramble on >_> -
Okay, so if the new skin wasn't enough newness for OB, it looks like we've been upgraded! now that all the highly annoying kinks have been straightened out, I gotta say, it's pretty nice! Firstly, the color pallet is way easier to use. Unlike before where you had to scroll through and the words kinda obscured some of the colors, we've got a lot of nice little squares. Also, my personal favorite addition is that now when you edit your signatre it lets you view your current signature above. If you're like me and have gallons of code in your sig to the point that you can't tell what the hell's going on, this is helpful. There seem to be some additions to the post interface, though a couple remain red xs so i have no idea what they do, but the one nexy to the smiley selecter is confusing as crap - i'll avoif that one for now O_o in any event, I'm liking the switch so far for the most part. High-five! (also, I've noticed that now when we click on the colors, the tags have quotation marls on them, though the tags apparently still work without them)
-
Meh, these have gotten progressively less amusing. I'm amazed someone actually beat me for 1st place for once, though I think my total is still highest :p 1. Vegeta 2. Trunks 3. Piccolo 4. Freiza 5. Cell

(for this review with funny pictures, visit blog) Okay, so I've finally gotten around to episode eleven, and as of half way through, I'm thinking this is the lamest episode since the first one. Seriously, that long-*** dragged out conversation at the beginning had me screaming in my mind 'JUST SHUT UP DAMN YOU!' to the point that I was infuriated. As of the halfway point, I am practically beating my head on my desk in boredom. ...*as of talking about cakes* you know, seriously, I can hardly even stand to watch this. This has been the most droning, boring episode of this show yet. I mean, when they start talking to much, it's always been where the problems start arising and the better episodes are the ones that spliced the chatter with cool little things and moved at a faster pace. This epsiode has bored me to tears. I seriously am struggling just to keep watching. Also, whereas this show usually at least delivers a semi punch-line, this episode seems to sometimes get onto topics and drop them before even getting to a punchline, unless it was just that much lost in translation. Prolly the best joke yet was the ramen one. I liked that one. in fact, from that point on it was all relatively cool, and give a tiny spark of life to an otherwise completely and utterly dead episode. Also, Lucky channel wasn't funny >_>
I would love to do this too. My parents spent two hours lecturing me on a plethora of things a while ago, and the one that bothered me the most was how little they seem to think I'm capable of as far as my interests go. I'm pretty sure they want me to graduate high school with near perfect grades and go to college and major in something useful and get some sort of degree. Then go out into the real world and get a real job and start a family and blah blah blah. But there is no way in hell I can do any of that. Sure, I'll graduate high school, but I won't be in the top students. Sure, I'll try to go to college, but if I don't get accepted into where I want to go, it really won't hinder me very much. And I definitely don't want to get married or have kids or have a ridiculously dull career. I'm a musician and a writer, and I am determined to live off of my songs and stories when I go out in the "real world." I'm not going to let myself fail.
I think this deserves to be highlighted, for this is my way of thinking as well. It's funny, because when I look at a lot of places I see stories and things where someone lives under this mentality only to, in the end, give in and become normal (namely a certain anime I watched recently that got me depressed because of it >_>) I've always been bothered by it, because I don't know if Itruly have the strength to follow my dreams, but I know that as it stands, I'd rather die than be normal...

Oi, so my brother just picked up battle rev. for the Nintendo Wii, and oretty much it's been disappointing. Basically, the concept is sort of like the old pokemon stadium games, only this time it doens't een let you choose from all the diifferent Pokemon. They've got like 10 preset teams of 'rental' Pokemon you can go into battle with, but you can't form your own team, which sucks hard. Basically the only reason to play this game is to have your Diamond and Pearl Pokemon on the game - the regular battles are easy and pretty boring, so really the only enjoyment is battling others through wi-fi, thoug even that doesn't take long to get boring. My brother had this to say - "I've already been playing with these Pokemon all this time on the DS, and I'm bored of them at this point. I wanted to use Pokemon I don't have."

Discuss SUCKIT Brigade Underground and Information Booth [M-LVS]
2010DigitalBoy posted a topic in Theater
SUCKIT Brigade ~Evil Enterprising~ SUCKIT Brigade Information: Secret Lair: The SUCKIT hideout is in a top secret location that no one knows about. It?s totally classified, so don?t go telling people where it is, or we?ll have to melt your brain with a death ray or something. Our base is underground beneath a volcano on an island off the coast of Fiji. The island is uncharted and out of the range of military satellites - plus it?s underground where they can?t see. The only way in or out of the facility is either through the mouth of the active volcano or through underwater passages. Naturally, the base is incredibly large and is staffed by hundreds of lackeys captured from the tribes of local islands and forced to work without pay. Weaponry: Every ranking henchman of the SUCKIT brigade is equipped with regulation standard weaponry. Each is given a laser pistol used to stun enemies as well as a beat-stick to clobber any intruders. Our resident mad scientist has created all sorts of devastating devices to ensnare the populations of the world such as giant robots and lasers to be manned by the highest ranked henchmen. The SUCopter: Naturally, it is important for evildoers to get around in style and deploy evil wherever they go. The SUCopter is a giant flying apparatus powered by 5 large rotating blades. The SUCopter can hold up to 20 henchmen at a time as well as whatever devices of evil are needed for the mission (that is, depending on weight of said evil devices.) The SUCKITrain: This 3-car train is used for transporting the larger evil devises and for importing and exporting resources to the base via vast underground circuits. When it is time for communication between other evil principalities, the train system is used. SUCKIT Enemies: The Umlaut Crime Syndicate: the Umlaut Syndicate that is highly present throughout Germany and the Netherlands has caused problems for the SUCKIT Brigade in the past. Competition for resources and enterprising has arisen between the two, and there have been some territorial battles between the factions. The Umlaut Syndicate does not have many allies anywhere in the world, so they don?t tend to arise as a problem too often. Dr. Vonstaughtenburgermeister: Dr. V is the leader of the Umlaut Syndicate and is a super genius said to have an IQ well over 300. He is an expert in weapons design and harbors a personal hatred towards pretty much everyone on earth. It is said he has an affinity for animals, though, and is married to a gorilla. Captain Righteous: A rather annoying superhero resident of the United States who has made an effort in stopping the SUCKIT Brigade many times when they operate in America, especially in big cities. The Captain was nearly destroyed once by one of SUCKIT?s ingenious plots, but he was saved in the nick of time by his sidekick Righteous Boy. SUCKIT Allies: The Great Samba: The Great Samba is the evil ruler of Mexico and has control over most black-market trading as well as much evil enterprising. He is an incredibly wise man with eyes everywhere. The Pelican: One of the most brutally inclined super villains in the world, the Pelican and his troupe have worked with the SUCKIT Brigade on numerous occasions in bringing down superheroes or when involved in government struggles. -
SUCKIT Brigade ~Evil Enterprising~ This is the story of how the SUCKIT Brigade conquered the world. I?ll go ahead and assume you?re an earthling, which means you?ve probably got an idea of what I?m talking about already. You know, that laughably small group of insane Bond villain rejects who grew up to become the laughably oppressive Glorious Committee of Benevolent Dictators? Those guys. Maybe you?re wondering what qualifies me to tell their story. After all, I?m just a shmuck like you, working the same no-wage job so that they don?t fry me. But the truth is ? and you can kiss my *** if you don?t believe me ? that I used to be one of them. ****, more than that, I used to run the organization, at least in part. You?re probably thinking I regret it ? I don?t. It was a sweet way to kill the summer. I left because it stopped being fun and started being work, although in retrospect that was a bad move. Our story starts in the least likely way you could come up with. We weren?t the brainchild of Big Oil, or a corporation gone mad ? hell, we weren?t even power-hungry politicians with more money than we knew what to do with. No, we were nothing of the sort ? we were a pair of geeky slackers, whittling away our early twenties with video games and soda. Miracle of miracles, we got tired of video games ? I don?t know, maybe if we hadn?t gotten ourselves banned from XBOX Live, or if Duke Nukem Forever had come out just a few months sooner, we would have been just content to stew in our juices. But that didn?t happen, and we were bored ? and so I got an idea. Hey, I?d said, let?s take over the world and subjugate the population. It?d be like playing SimCity, only you wouldn?t get bored ten minutes in. And ya know, it just seemed like a good idea at the time. Joey seemed to like it too, so we ran with it ? the first thing we did, naturally, was come up with a name. We tried JLA and PITCHES, but none of them worked into automobile-related puns ? eventually, we settled on SUCKIT. Silly Underage Creepy Kids Invoking Terror. From there it was a simple matter of picking the crew, getting the money, destroying all those who stood in our way, and taking over the world. --- Obviously, this is an RP about an evil organization and how they are taking over the world. Our story begins with the organization having established itself as a force of evil, with a headquarters already set up and everything. All that they need now are some truly crazy villainous minions to join the team. We?re looking for the craziest wackos you can come up with; if you?ve ever seen Austin Powers or The Venture Brothers you will know what we?re talking about. The more cliché the better. Here?s the Sign-up sheet. Other important information will be posted in the Underground. Name: (Go wild. Seriously, crazy nicknames and ridiculous names are what we?re gunning for ? and try and make it fit in with you?re character cliché.) Age: (Not really important? anything goes.) Gender: (PLEASE just keep this simple.) Appearance: (You can have a descriptive paragraph or a picture, but please no normal people. Go out of your way to find the most ridiculously stereotypical photo of you?re character you can find.) Role: (Evil genius? Blaxplotation martial-arts bodyguard? Silent-but-deadly hitman? What?s you?re character?s cliché?) NOTE: There can only be one mad scientist, and for this role we require an experienced and creative mind. This is the most important role in the game, so we'll be looking for an expert. Resume: (What?s your character done in the past? Guy?s he?s worked for, agent?s he?s tortured, championships he?s won, whatever ? the only thing we ask is that at some point you?re character has to do something stupid enough to reduce him to working for us) Weapons: (Laser nunchuks? Automatic magnum revolvers? You?re bare hands? Go crazy ? if anyone asks for you to explain how it works, just say a wizard did it. Like everything else, go for over the top and clichéd) NOTE: NO superpowers! Me and Wet will post ours soon here. We are looking for no more than 6-7 [strike]players[/strike] henchmen. It should be noted that this rp will be mission-based with a wide variety of missions we've come up with.

Oi, episode 13 was crazy aweosme - the entirety of the fight scene between
Ophelia and Clare was great. Especailly all the delimbing. Is Calre seriously goes the rest of this show with one arm, this will be one of my favorite shows ever. Also, holy gee to Irene still being alive.
Fasterisk, you were right about the insane amount of deus ex machina. This show's even better at god-modding than me...
So I guess Ophelia is an awakened one now? This ought to be interesting. Also, her insane babble at the end was great.

I love Claymore - of course I'll join! Name: Joseph Crim Gender: Male Appearance: Joseph is a mid-height but well-built man who looks to be in his late twenties or early thirties. He has a slight beard and lengthy brown hair that he keeps tied back. His eyes are bold and have been said to bear into the soul of whoever he looks at. He has a charming smile and a handsome face. Society: Last Line Armor: Large brass shoulder guards, ankle guards, hip guards. Otherwise he tries to remain light so that he can strike quicker. Weapon: Battle axe. It?s about 3 feet long and the axe is 2 sided with large blades. Abilities: Joseph usually goes into battle headstrong and relies on his skill in dodging and striking back with great timing. If he doesn?t land a critical blow the first time, he is more than ready to follow up any strike the opponent has. He has also been known to momentarily paralyze enemies with fear by looking into his eyes.
That is what I am wondering I just gave up and made Joe the one for teleporting, since he is always teleporting everywhere anyways, so if he doesn't like it then he can make a teacher or get over it.
actually, I'd like you to change it, and I prolly should have said this before: Joe will not have any classes. He hates the mere idea of Esper Hall being anything like a school, and he's much too busy to be doing something like a class.

Oi. Well, I've never seen the origional, but this show is currently airing on Adult Swim wwith the most obviously fake and crazy translations you can imagine XD the way AS makes it is pretty funny and cool, but I can't say much about the show having never seen the original.

I think that the thing I want most is for my opinion to matter. After all, I spend so much time discussing my opinions on things, writing reviews and blogs, arguing points, and influincing others. in the end I just want my opinion to effect someone or help them in some way. I want to be able to know that my reviews helped people - that I got someone to see deeper into something or come to appreciate an aspect of it. Most of this has to do with the fact that I take my hobbies very seriously. Another thing I'd like to develope and be recognized for is my writing ability. One day I want to be able to write something and for people to like it and appreciate it and for me to be able to look at myself and say that I accomplished something. I've been trough a lot of hardships with my writing, but I think I've lately been getting my juices flowing with all the RPs I've been doing.
