I'm with Sunfall, ya'll come on! There's only 5 posts left, wrap this thing up!!! I wanna see how it ends! there is no excuse for this much suspense!!! Anyway, I'm going to go develope the categories for the award show. Any suggestions beside the obvious, request here. Edit: so far I've got these. Tell me which you like, which to dump Best Card Best Chapter Best Character Best Overall Player Best Post Best Story Writer Most Brutal Death Most Brutal Imprisonment Most Controverial Character Most Ruthless Player Most Sympathetic Character Most Wacky Death -
I don't know, but if I just up and quit what will that prove? Nothing, that's what. I'm not going to give up now DB, you know me, after I fall I get up. Plus, if I leave this RP, I'll never be able to participate in a RP with skilled players without failing. This is not just for fun, for me it's a chance to improve myself.
lol that's Prem for you. Well, that's part of the reason I let you join this rp, since it doesn't absolutely require the utmost post quality sice it's mostly about creativity and imagination. Plus if you suck, it doesn't necessarily effect anyone else XD I hope you keep at it - I've been betting all on your improvement as you know. I gotta say, you're an even harder project than the Panopticon >_
The characters' powers are a bit queer to say the least? I know wording joke was stupid. >_> You know queer as in weird. *Steals Indiff's mod-rod and zaps himself with it*

Meh. I got bored of this show somewhere during the Dark Tournament arc. It was still kinda cool, but you get bored of the same old moves and stuff after a while. Plus Toguro was ugly and annoying. I remember Cartoon Network got through the next arc but I barely saw any of it since I could never keep up with Toonami >_> I remembre that the animation had some pretty cool effects around that time, but the story for that arc was pretty dumb (I hate villains who sit back and meditate the whole damn time) I remember this show being pretty cool, just kind of dragged out. It fell into a lot of traps that most Shonen anime do...
I find it supremely ironic that I'm the adult playing a reserved teenager and Aaryanna, a teenager, is playing an adult who of all things has the ability to make people infatuated with her. I'm thinking that Charm ability of her's is going to wreak havoc. Especially since she's indicated that it's practically out of control. lol
XD all I could think about when I read that part was Clurr's character and I thought 'this is going to be frightening' XD also, we get a bisexual girl and another lesbian in the group - coly cow. People really took my gay thing seriously XD Also, yall get to postin! The longer you take, the longer before aaryana and Takuya get to join!
-
Yes, I've RPed with both Aaryana and Takuya in the past and I trust them, especially since Takuya has an absurd amount of rp excperience here on OB, and I don't know how much action aaryana's seen, but she was great in the Maze. I trust both will make fine additions to Esper Jam!

Fasterisk, that's the most beautiful cap of this show I've read so far. Everything you say rings true, and I meant to mention that this show excells in havin only one annoying character, and he doesn't have much of the series' focus behind him either. I find it hilarious that you mentioned DOA (assuming you were talking about the video game, if not, pardon me) because young Clare looks almost exactly like young Kasuki when she gets her new clothes. I think it was some kind of homage >_>
*gasp* No! That's the way his signature's been for years! *isn't kidding. waves at Takuya* Hey dude. Hey DB, I won't be able to post much the rest of this week and probably most of next week because of this project that's due first day of school (August 1st). Could you take care of Dusty for me?
i'd be happy to, but don't blame me if she's in the middle of a developing relationship by the time you get back >_>
-
Just a heads-up: I'll be joining this RPG at the start of the next chapter. My sign-up is up in the Adventure Inn thread.
oi, that you shall. Your character truly is the queen of all introverts XD so much so that she simply talks to her self (even mote extreme than an imaginary cat I think) I think I can break herm though. One thing, Takuya, your sig is annoyingly huge. Any chance I could ask you to trim it down? Preferredly those damn smilies?

@ BK: Well, it still is far from liscenced, so you might be screwed. I havne't read the manga yet, but i intend to. @ White: I really don't think they're all that hot, but then again, that could be my lolicon senses. The gritty artstyle lends more to observing the coolness of the landscape than the hotness of the chicks. plus, nothing about their armor says 'take me' lol. Not that this is also coming from a person who has never been attracted to Makoto Kusanagi >_> in any event, the killing is very nice, but at least try to look at the plot too...

Okay, so, this is easily one of the best action shows I've had the pleasure of watching. If you're a fan of fantasy stories such as Berserk or Valkyrie Profile, I think you'll have fun with this show. Hell, anyone inclined to action whatsoever needs to be watching this. The show's format is not unfamiliar. There is a fantasy world full of demons (called Yoma) and there's an all-female group of half-yoma warriors called Claymore who fight them. the story follows one of these Claymore named Clare who saves this boy (who's name escapes me) from a yoma (will not spoil more than that fact) and end up with the boy following her (as her 'cook'). Like I said, at first it's nothing unfamiliar, and the first 2 episodes will seem like this show is nothing special. The 2 part episode 3 and 4 is pretty cool, but from 5 and onward (so far it's at 13) are just plain freaking awesome. This show is pretty dark in a cool way, but not overly dark like Berserk. The show isn't afraid to kill off it's characters, but it's also not afraid to let them live, lending it some sense of realism. The story is intriguing and is enough to pull you in rather quickly after ep 4, but the story isn't the main draw. The best thing about this show is simply awesome battles. This show does not screw around when it comes to fight scenes. The fights can sometimes take the greater portion of the episode, and unlike certain action shows, it spends less time talking and more time with straight-up fighting. Not every fight scene is as spectacular as the last, but some of them wil have you on the edge of your seat. As of ep 12, I am addicted to this show entirely.

meh, by the time I'm past the line 'once you start reading' i've already deleted it. If I don't even read the something horrible part, nothing can happen XD I actually got a really convincing one before cuz it had these creepy pics to go alongs with it, but otherwise, I hate these dmn things, epecially when people post them as comments on youtube vids.
As an independent viewer, I'd like to chip in that, when viewing the Worm as a whole, the only places I've seen obvious funk has been between entries #2 (White) and #3 (cancer), top to bottom; and between entries #7 (Ozy. J.) and #8 (DigitalBoy), from the border down the rest of the wainscoting. I can't comment on the very last pair, since the latest entry hasn't been edited in yet (though if the colors are that dark, they may very well be off), and if no one else sees what I've just mentioned then I'll chalk it up to my browser (Firefox), but right now I'd be of the mind to name the current hexadecimal hullabaloo a bit trivial. It all looks fantastic from where I'm sitting, and did so even before this issue started coming up. :D You know, just so you artists can hear from an outside source.
for me, there's an error between mine and Ozy's, Jeremiah and Delta's, and Ninjah and Jigglyness'. I'm willing to chalk mine down to my own error since everyone seems to see that one, but the other 2?
Darren, I'm not sure if it's only my computer, but when I put your image right beside my own, you colors seem a little darker than mine. Here's what it looks like on mine.
I think it's the whole firefox/internet explorer thing or whatever. On my comp, your is way diffrerent from the one before it as well.

>_> meh. Everyone claims to know who everyones charactre is - I wouldn't be surprised if they did. With the number of strange cards that have been played, deductive reasoning should make it all rather easy. At this point, most of these characters have been killed by someone or other XD oh, and if you were already absolutely convinced, how do you become more sure? -
Makes no difference, since why would Darren revive someone else's character? I could see it if they had all three and were trying to divert attention, but seeing that only two were left when Etamet was revived that was not the case. It's simple logic, you don't win if your characters are dead. I'm convinced that Etamet is Darren's character. :p
i wouldn't be all too sure of my self there, buddy. I will tell you now, that boy's been a step or 2 ahead of everyone the greater portion of this game :p -

OMG! So many! I still haven't used indiff's yet, so I'll use that set for ch. 2 and switch to each other with each chapter break. This rp should be pretty long, so it will work. -
Don't believe him Sandy. Darren's trying to make you think that Etamet is someone else's character. Like SunfallE said, the only what that would be true is if DB sucks at English and used the wrong word. lol Their character means just that, you have to revive a character that is yours. I do believe that's what's known as a bluff. One that I'm not buying. lol
I cannot really speak on the matter myself. I can't remembe what my intentions would have been for the card, and it is true that I am not very good when it comes to writing this sort of thing. Thinking on it now, I think it would have been better to restrict it to that person's own characters, but ether Darren did so or not I cannot speak for. -
oh my god, prem, did you just backwrite?! Please don't write in for events that already happened, it makes no sense!!! Also, indiff, that was perfect, lol. The niceness is all just a trap! He wants you to join him!!! XD Also, everyone, you don't have to be linear with your timing. Those of you who have signed up for classes, by all means, send your charactre to class. Please post the current time at the biggining of posts, though, to lessen confusion. mine took place at 12 I think, so you all have a whole day ahead of you. The speed at which you finish that day depends on how fast you move and your involvement with other player's chars.
-
oi. Prem, I think you should ally your character with hells. Bringing in too many NPCs could get confusing - try making friends with other players instead. i think you and Dante would get along best. Also, just to show off....
heh, well, I had to think on my toes. The biggest difficulty is that I wanted there to be some kind of event. The event had to involve all 9 characters in some way. Now, if it was something that was effecting all of Esper Hall, there would be plenty of other Espers ready to take on the threat. It also couldn't be some kind of training, since esper hall isn't supposed to force things on you. I thought about taking the 9 characters away in some fashion, but since I'd already told you all to sing up for classes, and some people had, it couldn't impede on those clases. In the end, I thought that since chloe was having a class right then, I could use it to my advantage. Origionally my plan was a lot more trippy, but them when I'd gotten to the point where I'd decided how clairvoyance would work, I figured out how Joe would fall into place in leading us into the next part. it was then i thought to use the crappy olf man. Initially I thought he might give a speech - but then I doubted all of the characters woudl have sttod for that. I didn't want to impede on characterization. I got him done before they were done being surprised, and had chloe cut in just before things would have gotten out-of-hand. Yo ucan thank my ingenious writing skills for making it all come together XD

i just bought a large bag of bar-b-que falvored sunflower seeds, and I eat them one at a time. I will be eating these nonstop until this bag is empty, and then I will use beef jerky to calm down from the renumeration. This will be an arduous struggle.

huzzah! Today i just got my first CD in a long while! I'm go glad you posted this just in time :catgirl: Mogwai - Mr. Beast Ah, the post-rock awesomeness so full of emotion and wonder and soul - I can't help but love it. I haven't really gotten used to the second half of the album since I haven't heard as much of those songs due to the fact that i'd heard the earlier ones on youtube. Travel is Dangerous is of course one of te best songs evar, though Glassgow Megasnake and Acid Food are always fun too. well, actually, I got his about a week ago if it counts... Hare Hare Yukai - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Oi, this came with my special edition DVD. It's got the ending theme hare hare yukai and this other nifty song, and then the non-lyrics versions of both. All-around fun and bouncy. (reaching way back here) Agalloch - Pale Folklore i think this was the last one before i shifted from focus on buying lbums to buying manga and anime DVDs. I got it before i moved, so I know it's definitely been a while. Anyway, this is probably my favorite Agalloch album if for nothing other than it's their most well-rounded release, featuring nothing but solid tracks. One of my favorite albums.

indiff and wet - I expect that of you - that's why I let you play. And anyway, not even that many kids are truly emo as I make them out to be, it was partly a joke, but it is true that they all suffer from a social disorder.

Thursday, 12:00 PM Shiana and Chloe sat down in two of the four chairs that had been placed out here in the grass. Between the warm sun and the noisy bustle of the outdoors was a very serene feeling that could be placed as obscure for someone who wasn?t used to it. From a distance, Joe was turning his attention to the two. He smirked a little seeing the new girl sitting across from Shiana. It was an image he?d seen plenty of times - Shiana always tried to get the new people to join her class, but most didn?t last long at all. There were only 2 students who?d ever stuck around, and only one who was actually into it. The strange girl with the erratic teleportation powers had been her student for a good 4 months now. The other member was Joe himself, who only pretended to be interested to make Shiana feel better. She knew this of course, but it was appreciated. Joe saw the teleporting girl suddenly appear in one of the chairs and figured it was about time that he headed over. He teleported himself there as well. ?Hey! It?s you!? Chloe exclaimed, pointing over at Joe. She seemed to be trying to pull his name out. ?Joe,? he said flatly with the same bored tone as always. ?Yeah! So you?re taking classes too? And I thought you were like the head honcho around here or something, but I guess Shiana?s even smarter than you?? ?Now wait here?? Joe started, but Shiana interrupted him with a giggle. ?Well, you?d be right about that!? ?Hey?.? ?Anyway,? Shiana cut in again, ?we should now begin. And yes, it?s true, not even Joe knows how to do this skill - I?m the only master of it. And the only apprentice who?s any good is Clara here.? The rather shy seeming teleporting girl smiled and blushed a little at being mentioned. She was a very small girl and very skinny with long hair that was oddly white pulled into a ponytail. The glasses she wore barely fit on her tiny nose. She?d placed the novel she was reading under her chair and was sitting in full attention for her lesson. ?That reminds me,? Chloe announced, ?We haven?t introduced ourselves yet. My name?s Chloe, Chloe Verena.? Chloe stretched out her hand. Clara was a little slow in shaking it, appearing to be very shy. ?I?m Clara Reynolds. It?s? um? nice to meet you.? Joe found himself in a place entirely different with his thoughts. ?So, today, we start off with more simple practices since we have a new student. First things first, I?ll have to take us to the necessary location.? ?What do you mean? Didn?t you say your class was here?? ?Well? you?ll see what I mean. Just close your eyes.? Chloe looked over at Joe and Clara who had already done so, and she closed her eyes slowly. --- Chloe?s eyes opened onto a bit of scenery that she couldn?t have expected, or probably imagined. The floor their chairs were on now seemed to span on forever in all directions - it was hard and purple. Meanwhile the air around her had the feeling of being underwater - though the scenery seemed to be a reflection of the purple bouncing about the atmosphere, creating a sort of purple sky. It was the most confusing feeling she?d ever known, even beating out some of her dreams. The sensation was near overwhelming? ?Are you alright?? Shiana asked. The familiarity of her voice brought Chloe back into focus, though the fact that she could have sworn she was in the water made it seem strange. ?I?m fine, why?? Her voice was normal, but it felt odd in this surrounding. ?Some people burst into tears when they first arrive here?? Chloe looked all around her. The urge was welling inside her - she was beside herself - just then a hand grabbed onto her own. Chloe turned to face Clara, who?s soft hand was gripping hers. ?It?s alright. We won?t be here long,? she said in her faint voice. ?Correct,? Shiana interjected, ?I think an explanation is needed though. We haven?t actually moved at all physically. What I have done is move our minds to another plane of existence. Our bodies are right where we left them, but our thoughts are being enacted on this plane. Eventually, you will learn how to enter this plane on your own, but for now I?ll be opening the gateway for you. The importance of this particular realm is that it exists outside of our current time on our plane. Essentially, certain rules of time do not apply here. While we cannot move backward in time from here, we are free to move forward as far as our powers allow and easily return to this spot for me to take us back to our bodies. This is a difficult technique to master, but you can develop it carefully. For now, you will only be able to visually see the future, and you will only be able to see a little bit forward, but as your power progresses, you will be able to see farther and farther. I want you to try and concentrate all of your mind onto the future. Try picturing someone that you know and think of what they?ll be doing ahead of now?? Chloe closed her eyes and thought of the first person that came to mind. After a moment she suddenly reopened them with a start. ?Xander! I left him in my purse!!!? She suddenly blurted. ?We gotta go back! I saw him, he was lonely!? Shiana was a little startled at the outburst, but she quickly went to work and the four found themselves re-awakening in their bodies. Chloe immediately reached for her purse and opened it, letting the little gecko crawl out into her pants and she pet it gently. Shiana held her hand over her mouth and giggled while Clara laughed gently and peeked at the adorable creature. Joe stood up. ?Shiana,? he beckoned lightly. Shiana turned toward him seeing that his face was very serious. ?Can I speak to you a second?? Shiana stood as well, walking with Joe aside from the other two. She glanced back at the girls who were lost in chatter about the adorable lizard. ?Did you see it?? Joe asked sternly. ?I didn?t get the chance to look at all, why?? "Those nine kids..." ?When? No wait, first, what?? ?That crappy old man, and about right now,? with that he pointed over to Chloe who suddenly disappeared. Shiana gasped and Clara jumped, having been startled. As a result, she accidentally teleported off as well. ?What the hell is going on?!? Shiana yelled at Joe. ?It?s that bastard?? *** Vanyel had been given a library card with her name on it - she couldn?t remember ever having a card with her name on it before. She had been gawking at the towering shelves of the fantasy books for several minutes that felt like several hours. Choosing only one seemed like it would be impossible - how this many books even existed was beyond her. These thoughts were cut short, though, when she was suddenly torn away from the library. *** Shayla and Dusty were suddenly torn from the corridor; the same happened to Thomas, Julian and Cho as they wandered about; Levon was taken from his seat in the cafeteria where he?d felt too bloated to get up yet, and Dante was torn from his slumber. All 9 of the new espers found themselves sitting in chairs in a large office. Across a huge wooden desk, sitting in his own gaudy throne-like chair, was the chairman of Esper Hall - Sir Liam Eldren. ?Hello, newcomers. I know it was sudden to take you all here, but please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Liam Eldren, leader of Esper Hall.? The old man was dressed in a fancy robe like the type a wizard in a fantasy novel would wear. ?I assume you all have been shown around by? Joe? and have gotten a look around as well as received a map of the school.? ?Watcha callin a school there, old man?? A younger man?s voice suddenly cut from the doorway behind everyone. Their heads turned to see three men stepping into the room, one being Joe. The guy in front wore a red hoodie and baggy jeans and looked to be in his mid-twenties. His hair was blonde with dark streaks and there was a cigarette between his lips. The third guy was sort of chubby and wore regular jeans and a t-shirt. ?Last I checked, Esper Hall was a community for people with special powers.? Already, it was obvious where this conversation was going, and the new guys were filled with either annoyance or the desire not to be there right now. ?You know our kind was meant for much more!? The old man shouted, ignoring the others entirely to engage his new foes. ?Stop pretending to be a king, you goddamn old coot!? Right in the middle of it all, Chloe suddenly shot up. ?Where the hell?s my purse?!?!? All 12 other heads turned to her. ?Xander!!!!? Chloe immediately ran over to Joe. ?Quick! Teleport me back!? Joe was a bit in surprise, but she took the girl?s hand and teleported them away. The room was silent a moment as the two young men turned back to the old guy, who was wearing an expression of pure annoyance. Shayla quickly rose to her feet. ?I think I was about to go sign up for a class or something. Good day to you boys.? She quickly began walking out the door, leading the others to get up and walk right out of the room. The two younger men turned once more to the old man, glaring at him with pure hatred before teleporting off.
