1.
I was in Canada for all of 20 minutes. Thank goodness that was all.
I hope you at least sall the lesbien mounties :p Anywho, I've been to 36 states and I can't rembmer but 2 of them. When I was like 3 my parents ran a booth at Lalapalooza and I was along for the ride in our camper of a million curses. I was born in Cali, but my earliest memories are in Virginia, where i've lived most of my life. I also lived in Florida for like 5 grueling months, but that's a whole other story. Other countries? Haven't been. If I had a ton of money for a world tour or something, I'd go to Japan, Norway, Sweden, Australia, and the U.K.
 2. I decided to bring up another thing in anime: the humbling effect. I'm not talking about anime that doens't take itself seriously, nor do I mean lightheartedness necessarily. I'm talking about shows that don't try to go overboard with their plot or ideas and yet manage to have a beautiful story and portrayal. It's kind of odd for me to bring this up, because I also happen to be a fan of all things epic. In fact, when it comes to my writing as well, I always focus of epic-ness, though what I'd really enjoy doing is a work like one of these. It's kind of hard to accurately describe what I mean, so i'll do so through example. Kino's Journey has a very humbling effect. It's fun, it's intriguing, but it doesn't force itself on you. In fact, it doesn't put anything on you, but instead lets you formulate your own opinion. Unlike shows which go to great lengths to explain everything that's going on or make you feel sympathetic for the characters, Kino's Journey just gives you a beautifully-written adventure for you to enjoy. What's interesting about this is that it allows anyone to have their own ideas about it. It's not like the sort of show where you have an elitist troupe plugging 'this is what it means!!!!' down your throat like Eva or something. To some, it'll just be an interesting little adventure story, while to others it'll be a reflection of human nature. The biggest thing about that show in particular is that it lets you make a choice, 'is the world beautiful, or ugly?' and it doesn't give you an answer. But that's for a Kino's Journey thread... I would consider what I've seen of Haibane Renmei to have that effect as well. It's very dramatic, don't get me wrong, but not in a forceful way. It's not like when Rakka gets depressed she's got 5 people throwing messages at her and forcing her to make a decision. Then again, I've only seen half of this series, so I can't be sure. Another example, and I know I''m bringing this up again, is Hidamari Sketch (if I haven't given you enough indication that you NEED to watch this, I don't know what will. This show has little chance of making it oversea -- go watch it!!!). It's a comedy show, but it doesn't use jokes or force the characters into odd situations. None of the girls are weird or crazy (well, their teacher is) - it's just 4 art students and their lives but it's portrayed beautifully. ARIA might also be a good example.
 3. Oh, James, you make me cry. And those even look like official videos too... Argh, lets see, well thanks to you guys I've now stumbled into an endless vault of Phoenix Wrong and OVER 9000!!! videos XD Also, I'm not providing any links since I'm sure they aren't aloud, but there are tons of videos of hot Japanese chacks making out on youtube that I feel deserve mentioning. Some of these girls kiss in ways that are hotter than sex... Getting off of that topic, my favorite part of youtube is being able to find songs by obscure bands such as Ensiferum and Prize Fighter Inferno and Shabutie and Maps and Atlases. Which reminds me, M&A has this one youtube-only video of the vocalist/guitarist Dave Davison playing the song The Ongoing Horrible. I mentioned it before in above thread I think... Also, while I don't wanna get into hyper AMV mode, a few deserve mentioning. Drunkship of Matrix (Caveat Emptor Synch) - Someone took clips from the Animatrix and synched them to the Mars Volta song Drunkship of Lanterns as well as the first half of Eriatarka. Since I seem to remember the Matrix being a pretty big thing on the OB, I figure you guys can appreciate it. This Evangelion Must Be Unearthed - Once more this is The Mars Volta with the song This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed. There are some Eva spoilers, but not much from the movie which is pretty cool cuz it has some less-used clips. One of my favorite AMVs and one of my favorite songs to my alltime favorite anime. Akira Trigger - This one is the movie akira to the song Delirium Trigger by Coheed and Cambria. The synch is almost too good, like they were meant for each other. Once more this is one of my favorite songs, too. Of course, Akira spoilers.
 4. ZOMG I 100% overlooked the turtles!!! That was the most emotional one of all!!! The turtles were Squirtle (yes, like the Pokemon) and Shelly and thye belonged to my little brother when he was like 8. My brother has always been obsessed with turtles, so they were perfect for him. Both were little red-eared sliders in a tank in our kitchen where they lived peacefully. Eventually, Shelly got some kind of disease and she died at the vet. Needless to say, my brother was freaking out about it. Even sadde is that we lost Squirtle only about 2 weeks later. We were making a new home for him in the backyard. We had dug a hole and filled it with water and were adding stuff to it but we were trying to figure out what kind of thing we'd need to block escape. There was no more than a minute in which he was left unattended, but when we came back he was nowhere to be found. We combed the backyard, but there was no sign of him. EDIT: Ohshit, I forgot about 2 others that came later. There was one big tutle that my mom brought home from the side of the road named Stinky cuz he was rank. I can't remember if we had him a full day, I just know he escaped. Same goes for a turtle my dad found once and brought home for my brother. He has no luck with turtles >_
 5.
Heh heh heh.... :demon:
Ah, the tables have turned I suppose. Admittedly, I've had a stint of a block toward this story. As a result, I've been typing rediculously huge posts all over OB >_< I need to refocus though. I've already got a bit over a page, a video, a graphic, and an art.com thingy linked out, so it's not like I haven't done anything.
 6. The new banner is way better - the blue matches way better and it doesn't have the creepy guy anymore, plus the grafitti is more consistent.
 7. Episode 10 was probably my favorite yet cuz is was an action-packed thrill-ride all the way through. Mr. blood elf's powers were put to awesome use, and basically he was a complete badass throughout. That, of course, makes Hei even more awesome than before for
kicking his candy ***!
(if you haven't guessed yet, Hei is one of my favorite heroes this season, saddling behind the G-L cast). Once again, we've seen that this show can be brutal and blood-soaked which is always nice. Every bit of this episode was basically just coated in coolness and comic-esque glory. I can't wait for them to bring this one over to the u.s. (five bucks says it makes [AS]) Kirihara got a good amount of airtime in that sexy dress which is fun and like every other woman Hei's (or rather Li has) ever encountered there was some obvious chemistry. The more Kirihara I see, the more I like her, though I would really rather see more of the doll girl who hasn't had much airtime yet... Of course the best parts of this show are the action scenes, though, and this episode delivers in the best way. If you haven't been watching this show yet, now might be a time to start.
 8. I've always got songs in my head, usually quite a few. Lately it's mostly been MSI since I've been listening to them like crazy over the past weeks. At this very moment, the song stuck in my head is Revenge. I think the lyrics are explicit, but then I can only understand 1/4 of the crap he says in this song. I just know it's awesome, especially at the part he goes THIS... IS... MY.... RE... in that voice where he sounds like he's having sex into the microphone.
 9. Oi, so I was browsing my friend/idol Wildarmsheero's anime seen looking for a movie or OVA to watch and I came across an OVA called Imouto Jizu (suster juice). I mangaed to find some vids, albeit the penis and vagina are all blurred out which is pretty annoying, though they have enough of a form that you can tell what they look like. The story is as follows - a boy's father who's an architect gets married to a woman with three loli-tron daughters. The boy is excited that he gets to have new younger sisters as well as the sisters are so giddy that they fight over his attention. The new mother returns from her honeymoon announcing that the father had found an archeoligical site where they were staying and so he decided to stay there a while. On the very first day when the girls have moved in, the mom ends up having wild sex with the son-in-law and all three girls walk in on it. (needless to say, they are completely blase about it XD). the mother notes that it is due to some strange smell. The son locates this smell coming from a small jar and decides it must be linked to something from his father's archealogical crap. Investigating his fathers office, he finds a case with 3 bottles and a scroll in it. After reading the scroll, a pixie appears and explains to the boy that he must collect the sex juice from each of his sisters in each of the jars before the new moon. If he succeeds he will be granted a wish, if not, he will suffer the worst terror the universe has to offer. So yeah, basically the whole thing is about this guy having tons of his sex with his more-than-willing loli sisters. The story is pretty developed for a porn story and the sex scenes are... well... beautiful. Just thought I'd share...
 10.
And I also really like DB's poems. Even if they do tend to get overcrowded with "big" words & are rather angsty (I prefer simpler stuff). I used to have depression, bad, but I only occasionally have minor spells of it now. So I get it. [/size']
Interesting you should say that for several reasons. The first is because the stuff on the first page is stuff that I took to be reviewed by a professional, and I was told I needed much improvement. Over the course of the past couple months I've been improving upon my craft in many different ways. I've yet to create a poem that I can look at and be completely comfortable with. On the other had, I absolutely love both of your poems, expecially the first one. I'm no good at critique, so I hope you'll manage to find someone to critique it for real, but I thought it was amazing. EDIT: As for Clurr and Mitch, I'll get to yours at some time. clurr, i've always loved your poetry so I think I already know how it's goin to sound, lol. Whereas Mitch, your poems all tend to blend together after a bit ^^;;
 11. Ah, I faintly remember this part of my life (it wasn't actually that long ago, but whatever.) This thing is very complicated it is. I don't even know if sexuality is real. If everyone was attracted to the oposite sense then it makes sense, but if some can be attracted to the same sex then I don't think any of it matters. As far as I'm concerned, you're attracted to who your attracted to and titles don't matter. I don't consider myself to be gay or bisexual or any of that crap, because I happen to find girls attractive way more than guys, but i'd be lying my *** of if I said I didn't lust after a sweet piece of a hot guy every once in a while. My concesus is **** sexuality, i'll bang whoever I want and you can make up your mind about what to call me. You may not be as carefree as myself, but not only is this the way that makes sense, but it will help you survive. BTW, if that guy happens to have a thing for guys, go for it. If not, you're ovbiously screwed. PS: I know that most people think I'm the worst person to ever take advice from, but decide on your own and not based on what others say.
 12. Ever since I saw the clip in AMV Hell I've been interested, since I happen to be a pretty big bread fanatic. On the other hand, though, this is more of the thing I'm happy enough knowing exists without necessarily have to necessarily see it ^^;; since it appears to be a massive series I'll leave it be. I'm sure if it ever sees U.S. release my bro will be on it though.
 13.
It's everywhere! OOOH! I wanna kill it! It's so popular nyenyenye! I hate it! anyone agree? :D
you hate it only because it's popular? Not because the plot is contrived, the characters are annoying, it's exactly like every other Shonen Jump manga, they destroy the concept of ninjas, the series degrades into DBZ wanna-be after about 60 episodes, and it repeats itself constantly? Just because you have to deal with goth kids wearing Naruto t-shirts and an abundance of yaoi fanfiction? Hell, I'm with ya XD
 14.
Lol i think i'm ugly.
Um... you're a liar? Seriously. I could never call that face ugly. That's a straight-up travesty. those people at school must just hate you or something, because you are NOT ugly.
 15. I had seen this in an acuiantance's Anime Seen and almost checked it out, but forgot about it too quickly. When I saw this thread, I absolutely had to go for it. I also was sure to take screenshots troughout ^_^. Two things were immediately brought to my attention as soon as the movie began. The art and the animation are absolutely beautiful! Everythig about the art, from the landscapes to the lovable character designs were awesome. Makoto was so well-animated it was fun just watching her, and her emotive faces were all perfectly orchestrated. These styles really drew me into the characters and made me care about it, which brought the movie to a whole new level of cool. Another thing was the cutesy parts and cartoonish nature of the whole thing. Makoto's mouth wasn't afraid to expans to the size of her entire head and I can appretiate that, especially when it is done so well. Unlike something like Spirited Away, it wasn't done in a way that made the characters too childish, and it was very subtle; not like some AzuDai thing where the mouths have minds of their own. the characters looked human while exhibiting features beyond humanity - for that I love it to death. Now, let's get to the actual story itself. First of all, I am a huge fan of the movie Groundhog's Day. that is one of my alltime favorite movies, so seeing a sort of Groundhog's Day gone anime is of course nice. It really didn't take me long at all to fall in love with this movie. By this scene... ...less than 20 minutes in I knew I was going to love this, and I loved every minute of it. What's interesting is, this movie actually follows the same kind of format as Groundhog's Day (I wonder if that inspired the creators.) At first, Makoto was just using her power to do whatever she wanted and having fun - then it becomes about the people she's close to, and eventually things turn complicated. What's interesting about this movie is that ther were a lot of plot-points floating around at once. The thing about how if she makes things good for herself, bad things happen to others - all the relationships evolving, desolving, and being twisted every which way, and of course the fact that you had to keep track of which things hadn't happened yet. Honestly, I for sure thought the movie was about to end at around 3/4 of the way through, but then as it would turn out we get an immense plot-twist. Addmittedly, the whole thing about Chiaki being a
time traveler
didn't sit entirely well with me. While it did lead to an interesting explanations as well as interesting scenarios, i still wonder if it could have been something better. It still turned out well though and the scene near the end where
Makoto is bawling her eyes out
brought tears to my eyes. If that doesn't show you just how much I liked her character, i don't know what would XD. While the ending still had me a little sad, I think I can live with the way it turned out. It's the sort of story where i'd like to seek out a fanfiction that tells how it all sorts out in a way I agree with, heh ^_^. In any event, this definitely joins the ranks of cool anime movies. I think I might even like it more than Groundhog's Day if for no reason other than Groundhog's Day had a really cheesy ending XD Plus Makoto > guy from Ghostbusters. XD!
 16.
Version 5 and 6 kind of blend together in my memory. I remember v5 was a big change from v4, but beyond that I don't remember its appearance too much. Maybe I was too high on being a newly appointed super moderator to remember or something. v6 was the red one I'm pretty sure, and I think it also changed some part way through its life, like v7 has done.
i remember v6 still being blue, but it had orange and red lines in the banner. Maybe that was after the change, but I rembmer it being an FF-looking character. Personally, that skin was my favorite I've seen.
 17. Guess I should take care of the Big Otakuboards anime Event one now. Done. I'll handle the caption thingy next as well. If I'm taking too many, notify me.
 18. This LS opening/Haruhi parody is utterly awesome as well, and also they apparently made a sequel to the Rozen Maiden thing and apparently both were created by one guy!
 19. I only settle for perfection, and that's what I've been going for with my latest 2 rps. First of all, the entire system of the death-card game series is by far my favorite out there (thanks you Sandy) so I consider it perfection. Working the kinks out of the system is difficult, but I'm sure the perfect death-card game will appear at some point (my turn is already over, but I least I got things to be more experimental.) For me, the perfect rp in this system would have 8 players who have 3 characters each. All would have to be good posters of course, and there'd have to be a good amount of boogie people (such as Allamorph of Indifference ^_~) Really, I could just point over at the Panopticon - other than a few failures of my own in trying to make the system work, it really is perfect in my eyes. And for my second idea, I'm already starting it up in Esper Jam. I'm a huge fan of the genre of slice-of-life where basically you live your everyday life - but I also want to make that life freakishly abnormal. A school-like setting is always nice because it creates a thorough community - but I want these people to all be equal unlike a school - it's a more democratic environment. As for the players, this time all of them must absolutely be good and extremely creative. Creating this sort of team is not easy in the slightest, but the only way I could get my intentions to prevail is like this. They say great minds think alike, and from my rp experience, the most creative people always seem to know exactly what to do in the coolest way. Naturally, my characters have to have special powers since I'm toying in the ethereal here. I've always hated the classic X-men moveset though - I want my characters to be able to bend reality itself to their very whim. Naturally, there's a chain-of-command for this sort of thing - I can't have the word exploding every five minutes or something, which is why the characters start out weak and as their powers mature, so do their personalities. As for my place in all this -- naturally I'll be an uber god-mod, since that happens to be my specialty. My character has to be near to omnipresence, and yet keep away from the affairs of the group. This isn't easy to do - like in the Panopticon where I messed up by interfering with the characters. If you're going to be god-like you must be like god himself - creating where necessary and leaving the rest to human will. So my god-mod character will only serve to be informant - like Postino from King of Bandits Jing who seems to be everywhere at once dropping little parcels of information. I think I'd like to have 6 characters. Too little and you have to deal with faults in group dynamics, too many and you loose yourself. It would be 7 including myself, but for the most part I want to see their escapades. My duty would only be to create the environment, which brings me to another key in my rp. The environment must change a lot, but still have a base of operations to return to. the very nature of my rp is to make it feel like life, not like an adventure. There would be journeys into entirely other worlds, but there would be returns, too. Anyone who's seen the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy can tell you what I mean. this is where the school-like setting comes in handy again because there are always trips for learning and stuff. One of my biggest influences with Esper Jam was the game Psychonauts. i feel this game pulled off the school-like system almost perfectly. At first it's a sort of everyday life situation as you learn the ropes with missions thrown in. In Psychonauts, you take a journey into the mind of the camp counselor, you thoroughly explore the camp, you find out all sorts of interesting things about the environment. that's my ideal first chapter for an rp. Also like psychonauts, I want things to build into a story where something starts to unfold and your characters become a part of it. I don't want it to be the whole six-man-group that runs into battle, talks, rinse, repeat, though. Different characters would have different roles - someone might get kidnapped by the bad guys, someone might end up in a coma where they start traversing the astral plane with their mind - anything can happen! Of course, the ending would have to be flashy and epic. Whether an ultimate sacrifice would be involved is beyond my knowledge at this time, but i know there would have to be a definitive final boss and the sort of explosion that always follows. Each survivor would of course get their own little afterward.
 20.
That makes me feel ill inside.
At least I didn't threaten to feel you up, which is more than I can say for most of the people I know. Ikillion is also awesome, and ZOMG we've been Mitch-slapped!
 21.
And ready for the final wacky and zany chapter to this RPG. So get posting DB!
*dies* it's not as easy as you think! I'm having some troubble making the events flow together correctly, and I'm not sure how i'm going to pull off this one thing... i've got a handfull of ideas that're like a puzzle i'm piecing togethr. I'm already doing the writing, though I'm waiting to use my brother's mac for a video I need. *dies again* so much work! *dies* *takes BK's porche*
 22.
I know what you mean. I put in Hayate No Gotoku! but it's a verty new anime so high chances are it won't be in there. Others I wanted to include were Genshiken, Welcome to the NHK, Futakoi Alternative, but most would be relative unknown. I myself would be deeply saddened if naruto is on the list as I follow the series very closely and in no way find it comic enough to be even considered comedy. It has a few funny moments but nothing extraodinary.
Hayate... NHK.. Futakoi... feels like someone's actually been reading my threads XD (although I didn't think Futakoi was all that funny... depressing at times and epic, but only the first ep. was really funny...) In any event, I agree, but these shows are pretty boogie even on the internet. I'm shooting more for pop.
 23. My family (NOT ME) has 2 cats, and I'm too lazy to go through the trouble of finding them at 1 AM to snap their pics, especially since finding them is hard as hell. Now, see, in the course of my life my family has had one of every major pet. First was a parakeet, Tweety, who we sold away cuz he was annoying and crapped in our books. we had a dog named Misty (like Pokemon) who was a very tiny beagal that was extremely violent. Without provocation she would chase and bark at my brother who was like 3 at the time and terrified. We sold her away after like a week. When my aunt lived with us she had her dog, Sienna, who was an extremely shaggy little brown dog who I actually thought was pretty cool. The others are pretty tragic... we had this big fishtank once. The first were 2 tiretrack eels - we found out the hard way they were nocturnal >_< BORING so we got some small fish to accompany. Sadly, the one time my mom went to clean the fishtank she accidentally killed all the fish in the process. My mom tried to save the last one and told me to run get a bowl of water. i did so but it was cold and the fish died instantly. The most horrible tale, though, is of Bijou and Boss (yes, like Hamtaro) they were 2 little hamsters in 2 little cages. Bijou died of reasons unknown on my birthday. We thought it was cuz we were too loud. We buried her in the backyard earlier in the morning - by an hour later I doubt we even gave her a second thought. Boss lived longer and died more horribly. For several months he was ill taken care of. He was fed on the whim of whoever was around and no one wanted to clean his cage. My mom always yelled at us to clean it, but I guess she was too lazy to do it herself. He began loosing patched of fur and my mom thought he had some disease. He ended up dying when he crawled into a tube with food im his mouth, crawled into a tube, and apparently choked to death. Well, that's all in the past... 3 years ago we got a cat, a 2 month old kalico, named Kilala (origionally 'Little Boo' but we changed it to kilala. We wee huge Inuyasha fans at the time.) In any event, Lala has always been a little rascal. For about a month we kept her inside and she was always playful. The minute she first got outside, though, she began trying to go outside all the damn time. Early on, Kilala was the cat who was constantly stuck in a damn tree. My dad risked his life saving her a few times, and there were a couple times when we had to call the fire department - it's WAY harder to get them than you'd think and it ain't for free. One night she was stuck 50 feet up in a tree and we couldn't get help till the next day. She cried all night, pissed off the neighboors, and she has never climbed a tree since. When Kilala was 1 year old she got knocked up by one of (or perhaps several of) the many neighborhood cats (everyone in our neighborhood had a cat, no joke.) she had a litter of four. One was a kalico named Kratos (God of War/Tales of Symphonia reference), one was mostly black with a white belly. Since we were all sure that the cat named Cookie was the father, and since this one looked like Cookie, we named him cookie. Next was an orange one named Pumpkin, and last was a black and white one named Oreo. when we moved after about three weeks, we managed to sell away Kratos and Pumpkin and kept the other two. For the 5 months we lived in the next house we had all 3 cats. They were spayed/neutered and all 3 spent most of their time outside. Because of this, we've had all kinds of scares with them. There've been times where we don't see them for several days or times when they've come home wounded - Oreo once almost died and we had to take her to the vet - we theorize she'd been hit by a car. When we moved into the next house cookie disappeared within 2 weeks of our move. We searched for him and went to all the animal shelters, but he was never seen again. he is still missed - he was a really good cat. We were stuck only with his hellspawn mother and bratty sister (who's name is almost never Oreo anymore. My mom always calls her 'precious' or 'stupid'; with love of course). Gradually, our cats have both matured into adults. both have intense skill and can kill anything. And they kill EVERYTHING. At that house and at the new one we just recently moved in to we end up with dead things appearing everywhere. There's always dead moles in the driveway, dead birds, dead rabbits, they even hunted a raccoon once. I'll never forget the two most intense xperiences with the things they killed. the first was in the morning when I was leaving for my walk to school. Laying there in the front lawn was the top half of a baby bunny. It's chest was open in a way that i could see it's organs, and it's head was open where I could see it's brain. The frightening part was when I came in closer and realized it was still alive. Right there, as I was staring in shock, Oreo came right over and started chewing on it's head. I almost cried. the next is war more disturbing. In our last house, the cats often managed to trick their way into getting animals into the garage. Once one of them brought in a blackbird. It's feathers were strewn about. It's head was in a box. Varous organs were under a shelf. It's body parts were all hidden in places. Nowadays the cats are both very adorable and inside a lot more than they used to be. Kilala always hisses at Oreo and keeps her in line. Oreo never fights back, but lala is downright evil toward her. Oreo also has developed a weird habit lately - she licks everything. You'll just be sitting there and she'll start liking you. It's creepy as hell and even if you throw her across the room, she comes back and starts liking you. The cats are both healthy and neither has been hurt and quite a while, presumably because they've matured. Personally, I don't pay much attention to them. My 14-year old brother, who's always been a big animal lover, especially to cats, takes care of them and gives them superfluous attention. He lays claim to Kilala while Oreo is considered to belong to my 9-year old brother. EDIT: For someone who can't stand pets, I sure can go on about them XD Over 2 pages in Word

 25. Oi. I'm glad for this finally being under way, though I will say that I'd prefer we all be one group. It'd be easier to manage and keep track of, as well as we all get to work together. Having people seperated always ends up a mess - the last 2 rps I was in proved that.
