And honestly some people in this thread are just kids. Stuff is ****** up! It'll be ****** up! Life really sucks when you purposefully limit your point of view to that.
I agree. But that's the way I see it. Because even if I do go with your idea that human's are only naturally the way they are -- and I agree -- am I supposed to like it? No. If human nature is something I don't enjoy, i will not enjoy it. I'm not saying it's ****** up in the eyes of morality. I'm not saying 'we do all this stuff and it's wrong.' Wrong and right means nothing to me -- I only care about what effect the state of the world has on my own life. As far as I'm concerned, the world is ****** up. Yes, I'm probably shortsighted, but I don't need to look too far ahead to know that i don't enjoy what I see.

This was it: the final battle was under way. Andrew, Lara, Clavis, Davis, and Eflair had joined on a single platform already, re-meeting, introducing, and plotting frantically as their enemy stood just off in the distance a bit. Deoky merely stood atop his platform looking down upon the group with a smirk, his hair blowing around behind him. His thoughts were encompassed by plots for murdering every last one of them. Much as he enjoyed the thought of their suffering, he did look forward to leaving this place and returning home to create his duplication. He wondered if he might just kill them all at once. Alden, meanwhile was also still up on his perch, preparing one of his guns as he placed a cigarette between his lips. It had been a while since he?d been in massive armed combat, and his bad-ass senses were tingling. He looked down at the group, and over at Deoky. The man in the black looked like a harmless femme-boy, but Alden was sure he was probably a lot stronger than he looked, judging by the reaction of the group. He was a cocky bastard for sure, just watching while the others plotted to kill him. If five people had to think that hard about how to kill one man, it couldn?t have been safe to bet. Still, Alden was intent on winning this competition. He decided that he would let the group take care of Deoky first then he would come in afterward and kill them while they tried to find an exit, one by one. Fuck hope; he just wanted out of this hellhole and didn?t care who was going to die to give him that right. Besides, there might be some kind of prize for coming out on top? ?He?s got the speed of a demon and can leap the very skies. How will we catch him?? Eflair pondered with the group, all of whom were at first surprised to see her alive again. ?As you know, I can match his speed if not his strength. Besides, his mental abilities have no effect on me,? Clavis explained. ?I, too, can be of service,? Andrew interjected. ?I may not be able to leap so high, but I have never seen a sword hand move with the same swiftness of my own. Long as the enemy is only planning to tear us open with his claws I have the advantage in the length of my blade.? ?I have the gun Alden gave me as well,? Lara explained. From above, Alden saw her showing off the gun and creased his brow. If she were to survive the coming attack, he?d surely have to kill her first. He didn?t enjoy the thought of her brain on the walls of the maze leaving her body to never be used again, but getting out of the maze was more important than sex? ?I am weak. I have nothing,? David spoke under his weak breath. Eflair, who also felt defenseless, glanced over sorrowfully. ?Worry not!? Clavis assured him. ?You will not be harmed, either of you, I swear it. Last time we made the fatal mistake of spreading out where he could pick us off one by one. This time we shall remain together as a unit. You two will remain with Lara and keep a distant assault on Deoky while Andrew and I fight him. We must give him no quarter. We must be merciless! Take away everything and leave him with nothing! We shall strip him of his evil life, so that he may bring harm upon no one, ever again!? Clavis? inspiring words gave determination to the others. This day they would be victorious! The heads all turned to Deoky who still sat atop his perch, watching them from above. There were many platforms and walls between them and him, but there was enough room that they could just make out his face. ?ARE YOU READY YET?!? Deoky called out brazenly. Clavis and Andrew prepared themselves to take off. ?Ready?? Clavis asked. ?Perfectly.? ?Let?s go!? The two leapt for the next platforms on the path to fight the evil warlord.

I love it! This will surely be a battle of epic proportions, and one I will be enjoying very much, i assure you! This will surely be a massive struggle, because anyone without any characters in the game will be fighting for their favorite, and anyone with just one character is going to be desperate to keep theirs alive. In the end, it all comes down to who is the most merciful player, and I assure you, it is not me, hehehe. First post comin right up!

Well my brother's had this almost a week and has played it every freaking moment he can. so far he's been loving it, which makes sense since he's a HUGE Pokemon fan with all the games and had just beaten Emerald the day he got Diamond just to warm up... There's one thing he keeps whining about, and that's the abundance of old Pokemin and lack of new ones. He says of the 110 Pokemoon he's seen 54 were old and he's only seen 31 new basic pokemon, including babies (this is as of badge 7). He keeps whining about how there's too many Ponyta and Zubat everywhere when there are plenty of Pokemon who could be there instead. Obviously he's enjoying the game altogether, though, since he won't put it down more than 10 minutes >_

well, I wrote this about Rachmaninoff, which by the way Nerdy you spleed hideously. If someone who knows him better wants to improve it, be my guest. Rachmaninoff Rachmaninoff (or Rach as he is sometimes called, or Darren, his real name) joined Otakuboards on 12-16-2006 and semi-instantly became a major name on the boards. Unlike many new members, his post quality has always been superb to the point that he seemed like he?d been on OB for years already, and he has proven himself quite intelligent. Rach has posted all over the boards and contributed much to the community in his short time being on Otakuboards. Rach has been known to give his opinion quite profoundly in the Otaku Lounge and also exhibits an interest in anime and gaming, as well as posting in the Manga Workshop giving people advice on their works. Rach began participation in a few major RPs, namely Silver One and the legendary Otakuboards Survivor 4: The Mercenaries. Rachmaninoff, as his name suggests, is a major connoisseur of classical music and plays the cello, for which he has a lot of passion. His signature often features statements regarding music or classical artists. Rach officially married SunfallE as of 03-08-2007 and is a certified Desbreko fan boy as well as friends with both Aaryanna and Aaryanna_Mom. Outside and inside OB he is good friends with indifference who he has known a long time. His most recent event, The Maze, is an RP based on the famous Labyrinth RP by Sandy which has gone very well.
I think I'll go with; humanity's gotten better, if only marginally. Let's not forget the days of old, when invading armies would sweep through towns and villages, sparing neither civilian nor soldier. When the phrase 'all's fair in love and war' was taken a little too literally - a bit o' rape here, bit o' pillage there... oh, look, that guy we set on fire's still running around screaming. When armies would cut down anyone who stood in their way for the belief that God wanted them to. Good times. Oh, and then the times where anyone showing any sign of, or believing in something that couldn't be explained by the knowledge of the time would be marked a heretic or a witch and killed pretty much on the spot. Then the times when full-scale slavery was all the rage. When nobody gave a damn about racism, sexism, or any of that bad stuff. When a group could be blamed for a nation's troubles and murdered en masse. Sure, we have our problems, but don't make the mistake of thinking that the world was any more 'humane' in the past.
Where the hell you been?! (click each word)
And for all intents and purposes, since Deoky bent Rebecca's mind to his will, that was rape as wellwell other than Lara who wasn't awake and couldn't realize just what she was feeling. lol
Well, part of the idea was that Lara would have woken up at some point (prolly not too long) and been freaking out or something, but i figured if I got too graphic I'd scare the kiddies (or, in this case, the mommies). I tried a minimalist approach, lol.

I sure hope that I can be as witty as you one day.
We ALL do, cuz DeathKnight is just SO smart and cool and ALWAYS right  Anyway, logically my next choice would have been Dream Theater, but I'm gunna have to cut into that a minute here. Seing as I just got Snakes and Arrows, I believe it's time to go a little old-to-new school. Rush - this band has been around for an eternity. My dad listened to them when he was a kid, and wouldn't you know that I would follow suit. Rush is known for being a guy with a bass, a guy with a guitar, and a guy on the drums who REDEFINE the way the instruments should be played. Getty Lee, the band's falsetto-belting frontman is simultaneously a passionate singer and one of, if not the greatest bass player of all time. Neil Pert is by far the greatest percussionist to ever live with his behemoth drum set. And Alex Liefson qualifies as one of the most underrated guitarists ever, since he can shredd with the best of them despite lack of attention. Now, I have not come close to hearing half of all Rush albums. Over the course of 27 years they have released 19 albums, not including their live albums. Rush have changed their style a ton of times. Rush's first three albums weren't all that popular and featured the band slowly moving from hard rock to progressive before... 2112. This album is only 40 miutes long with 6 tracks, 5 of which I don't care about. 2112, the 21 minute epic opus of the album, is truly one of the most amazing pieces ever created. It's got an entire story to it, parts of which are detailed in the lyric book, and the song is absolutely amazing. It's the only 20-minute song I have ever actually gotten stuck in my head -- it's got brilliant instrumentality, and it really must be heard to be belived. the next 2 albums follow suit in the progressive style, one of which is Hemispheres that I also own. This one is actually only 4 songs, though one is another 18-minute epic that is once again amazing, and there also happens to be a 10-minute instrumental track. Interestingly enough, though, my personal favorite song on there is The Trees, a really strange tale of tree hierarchy. Afterwards, Rush started to distance themselves from the huge, epic tracks and 2 albums later they released by far ther most well-known album, Moving Pictures. Songs like Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, and Limelight still come on the radio all the time. This album sees Rush starting to bring synthesizers more into their music. Their next album and another popular one, Signals, sees the full emergence of electronical instrumentation. ... and I really can't tell you about their next nine albums, since I've never heard anything from this era. This was the time when Rush's prog influence began to dwindle a little and they became more oriented toward rock and radio-friendly songs, though I've never heard anything from any of these albums on the radio. Now i'm listening to their new album, Snakes and Arrows, and I'm at least mildly impressed. They have brought back plenty of the prog elements of their early releases and fused them with som eof their newer sound and gone just a bit heavier than they ever have before, while simultaneouslly having a lot of acoustic instrumentation. Overall, there are plenty of great songs and a few okay ones. The instrumentals are the best on there, and a lot of the acoustic stuff just sounds plain cool. My only disappointment is that I've yet to hear any of the instruments stand out like they used to, but it seems like they put a bit more concentration on atmosphere and layering for this one. Worth it for Rush fans at least, I'd say.

Decided to round off the round with a nice little summary of how our characters are feeling right now. And boy, is Alden feeling something... please don't hurt me too bad! In any eent, a post just as crepy as any of the deaths, lol.

Only 5 competitors remained living in the maze, though as far as Davis knew, it was only he, Clavis, and the evil Deoky. His mind was rattled. Over the course of this maze he?d watched in incomprehensible amount of people die, and he couldn?t help but think that he was next. The only thing that had kept him alive so far was the powers of his teammates, and he only had one remaining. Clavis, though, didn?t seem quite as powerful as the warlord Deoky who?s presence encompassed his surroundings. He had hoped that superior numbers would prevail, but the attempt to ambush the madman had only caused Eflair?s death. Davis was losing all hope and a depression was sinking in. ?You mustn?t lose hope! That is a man?s most powerful asset!? Clavis kept assuring him, but it wasn?t helping much. Davis was a scholar - he was open-minded, but willing to accept reality when it stood right in front of his eyes. There was no way he could get out of here alive. That?s all he could think as he and Clavis continued. *** Deoky was slightly peeved by the Maze?s power over him, but he had a layer of confidence blanketing it. How easily he had brought the young druidess to her death! And where was Clavis? help when her brains were plastered grotesquely on the metallic surface of the mind-malleable room? And even now, Deoky was long ahead of the other competitors, having taken the proceeding corridors by storm, rushing through the puzzles with meticulous skill. Between his mental abilities and his magical strength, he was invincible to his fellow competitors. Which meant his only enemy was the maze itself. An enemy he knew that, upon conquering it, would give him a greater satisfaction than any planet he had conquered. *** Alden kept a steady eye on the girl lying next to him. She was sleeping soundly, her body?s movements enticing to watch. He wondered how he should make his move. He couldn?t stand waiting like this. When she wakes up, she?ll still be under the influence? he thought. What she wakes up to will mean nothing to her. Alden carefully began removing Lara?s clothes, leaving her naked and still asleep. She was seriously out cold. Alden removed his clothes as well. It was true, Lara wasn?t vibrant like Rebecca, but she had large breasts and a fine figure indeed. Rebecca may have been amazing, but Alden was enjoying the thought of what he could do without permission. He crawled on top of the young blonde and licked her carefully up her body. He pressed his lips against hers and forced his tongue inside. He caressed her breasts and took in every ounce of her form. Beneath a sky of stars in the middle of a deadly maze, Alden raped Lara Servas. *** Clavis was worried for his companion who was quickly unraveling his mental rope. Deoky probably wouldn?t be much of a problem anymore unless they caught up to him, or if he came back to torment them. Clavis doubted this, though, as Deoky seemed to have been rather distraught when he took off. Clavis was now merely concerned with the safety of his companion and himself as they made their way to the exit and returned to their freedom. He could sense, though, that something was afoot and ready to throw them off entirely.

It's hard to anger me. I get peeved - in fact I happen to be peeved most of the time. That's mostly cuz I'm so sad that I let out little blips of anger and keep a pissed-off facade just to hide my sorrow. But right now, for example I am really, REALLY freaking angry, so I figured now's as good a time as ever to make this post. When I get mad, it's almost always concentrated on a single person. A person who irrevocably angers me... You see, if I care about them, I can never be 'angry' at them That's my definition of 'care' or of 'love' is that while they can disappoint me or make me sad from time to time, I will forgive them. But then there's certain people who know how to push me to the edge without revert. And only then is it not depression, but instead a fuming anger. For example, there is a girl at my table in Biology who, no matter what, I will get into an arguement with during each class. Now, this bi- I mean person is one who has many of the same friends I do, falls into the same 'clique'.... I hate her. HATE. Everything she says sets me off and the same goes for her. Both of us are insanely stubborn and she's got that whole 'oh, youre stupid, cuz everything I think is right' thing going on and I've got that '(expletive) you (expletive) your way of life and (expletive) you, you (expletive chain)' thing as a response. I just KNOW I'm gunna get sued or in trouble if this school year doesn't hurry up and end >_< But that's not who got me mad today. Today it's my grandma who has the same attitude, except I can't yell at my grandma or even try and reason with her. This is where my 'anger management' comes into play. First, I put on the angriest music I can find. Preferredly something heavy, mean, and with plenty of stuff for me to scream (today -- Static X) then I turn on the Xbox and put in the most violent game in my viciity (tody -- Halo 2) and I beat the freaking tar out of my enemies while screaming and occassionally laughing manically. Then I write mean-spirited poetry. Cuz I'm just that cliche.

This reminds my of Bad Religion's Punk Rock Song. (click that) I agree with the guys on the 'it's always been ****** up' beach, and I'd like to throw in a 'it will always be ****** up, get used to it.' And I apologize for my language, but those are the absolute best words I can use to describe the view in my eyes. I'm a pessimistic idealist -- I do think there's a way that the world could be at peace but I know it will never happen, and I'm glad some day I get to die and forget about all this bull.

i hope my first post was okay. I had Engel's permition to use his/her character, though I might've overdid it a little. I plan to post more int his fist part to fully introduce my character, so don't go thinking her to be useless just yet! This RP seems interesting and you system of decisiveness is very interesting. I hope to enjoy this RP very much.

Josephine sat, breathing heavily on the ground of the 19th floor if the famous clock tower of Big Ben, her back against the wall. Josephine?s breath was heavy as she gazed up questioningly at a man standing before her, having just set her down. Of course, Josephine could already sense that this man was no human -- this was definitely a vampire. The man had ash blonde hair that was almost white and had dark skin. He kneeled down to her eye level. ?You really ought to be more careful! Your lucky I was there, or you?d have been in some trouble for real!? The man looked directly at her through his dark sunglasses, but she kept her eyes turned aside, aloof. Her gaze was full of sorrow, as though she hadn?t even noticed what had just happened and had returned to a depression she already was dealing with. ?Hey, are you listening to me at all?? The man pried. He might have sounded a little forceful, but he really was worried. He knew how dangerous things could be in London, especially for a vampire. ?Thank you?? Josephine replied meekly, remaining aloof. Her companion was dissatisfied. ?Aren?t you wondering what you need to do now? Obviously you haven?t been to this city in a while; you don?t know the way things are, that?s for certain. This is the part where you ask the questions you need answers to! ?Why was that happening,? ?What?s going on,? ?Can you tell me how to get home,? you know?? The girl, who appeared to be younger than himself, just turned toward him, staring gloomily. The man frowned. He decided to try and formally introduce himself. ?Name?s Ezekiel Darrius von Kampfer the Second. More elegant than I need, but it?s got a flow to it. How about you?? The girl opened her mouth, but had an expression as if she didn?t even remember how to speak. As she began to push a word out her throat caught a rasp and she started to cough. ?Oh! That surely sounds bad, here, let me get you some water.? Ezekiel quickly ran toward the staircase across the room and vaulted himself over the rail. It was a long spiral staircase, but Ezekiel didn?t even bother to look down as he plummeted it?s length. It didn?t take him above 3 minutes to return with a water bottle. Sure as it could be, Josephine was in the exact same position as he left her. After taking a quick drink of water, the white-haired girl opened her mouth once more. ?Josephine? is my name.? She spoke in a very quiet voice and remained uncannily off-focus. Ezekiel wondered if she even had thoughts in her head. ?Josephine, eh? It?s nice. Had a cat with that name once.? Ezekiel was used to that statement making girls laugh, but this one was a brick wall. ?So? what were you doing there, anyway?? *** Josephine sulked the streets of London beneath the black night; one in which the moon was blotted out by rolling clouds. She could sense a heavy rain approaching. Josephine?s mind was riddled with thick confusion. Nothing about this town called back to the last time she?d been here. Had she been alone far longer than she realized? With the uprooting of massive technology over the 20th century that she?d seen, she had known that times were changing -- but for this much to be different in just 80 years? How could that be? It was already nighttime and there was almost no one on the street, likely because of the coming storm. Even the cars were scarce, and boy how they had become advanced! Josephine was uncertain of her location. She had intended to head to the old Nicomedus hangout where she was familiar with the people there and the surroundings were like a second home to her. That place wouldn?t even be possible to find now, though. She didn?t want to head back. For once she had conjured the spirit to head out, but already she was being stabbed in the back by her own decision. The rain came pouring down all at once as did tears from Josephine?s eyes. She knew she was lost. She huddled over in a near by alley and began held her hands to her eyes as tears continued to stream from them. Truly she was all alone. Minutes later the sound of footsteps was approaching. ?Hey!? A man?s voice called from aside. Josephine turned her head slowly and saw a man running toward her. He was wearing some sort of uniform and had unrecognizable weapons around his waist. He ran directly over to the young-looking girl and reached down to grab her. With a single pull he yanked her to her feet. ?What the hell you think you?re doing?! You?ll die of pneumonia out here dressed like that in this downpour! What are you thi-?!? the man?s voice trailed off as he took a look into the girl?s shimmering amber eyes. He could tell instantly - this was no human. Quickly the man leapt back and whipped a weapon from his holster preparing to aim it at the girl. Before he could bring it to firing position, though, it suddenly flew from his hands and slid across the ground. It took a moment for the officer to conceive what had transpired, but a moment later a man in all black and dark shades was standing before him having just kicked his wrist out of position. The officer immediately swung his fist at this new contender, but the man caught the fist easily. He turned to the officer. Suddenly the man was filled with overwhelming fear as he yanked his arm back. The guy in the glasses continued to face him seriously, and before long the frightened man took off down the street, running and screaming. Calmly the remaining combatant turned to the young female and took her hand. ?We must hurry!? He quickly pulled her over, finding her very light. He quickly reached under and lifted her into his arms and leapt clear onto the roof of the building. *** ?I? just wanted to return. To the clan.? Josephine told him, on the verge of tears. ?Nicomedus, right? How Long?ve you been away to not know where we are?? ?80...? ?Eighty years?! Holy hell!? Josephine?s face sunk, cueing him to not mention it. ?Well? if you wanted to find us, this would definitely be the place to do so. I?m sure you saw it the way up -- plenty of the clan takes to residence here or to hang out. It?s gotten about that time that most aren?t here and those who are have taken to sleep. You ought to rest up a bit yourself.? Josephine nodded, her thoughts racing as she wondered what it was time for her to do. ?Thank you?? she trailed off. ?No worries. I?ll go fetch you a blanket then,? Ezekiel said, standing up. He rushed off and brought her back a blanket, only to find that she was already asleep when he returned. He draped it over her, then turned to leave.

Ouch! And
Eflair
is down for the count! Good going, darren! I guess this means he didn't have a dual-death card, but still managed to surprise with the person he chose, going for who was probably the least central character was interesting, because now most of the remaining contenders are the most developed and influential. i find it funny that the two new guys are outlasting some of the classic characters. SPOILER:
Also, am i the only one who predicts the obvious double-life card to be handed out?

ForgotteÑ-HerÖ
Done. ForgotteÑ-HerÖ ForgotteÑ-HerÖ first signed up to OB as GUNmanZERO7. From right off the bat he was very dead-set on showing off his creative ability. His first story that he showed off, Lake of Blood, was one he took a lot of pride in despite all-around terrible critical opinion. He started off as what would be considered a ?n00b? on the OB, but unlike most n00bs he persisted in posting and became more of a respected member. He participated in an RPG or two and tried to start his own, but they didn?t take off. Because of forgetting his password for his profile, he had to create a new account rather early in his OB life. Ålpha-Æpsilon was his new title and the beginning of a tradition of using strange letters and accent marks on words that do not ordinarily have them. His focus was still on creative works, namely ones he considered novels-in-progress as well as manga ideas. Other than that, he mostly participated in RPGs and only occasionally ventured into the Otaku Lounge and other random parts of OB to leave little opinions. Around the time of the release of Kingdom Hearts 2 he changed his name to Split Keyblader and became good friends with fellow Kingdom Hearts fans Keyblade Wielder and Tekkaman. As he continued to post stories he quickly drew the attention of a member named Tical_Blue who always delivered particularly harsh criticism on his work. During this time, both members wrote superfluous amounts of material in OB Anthology, always giving their opinions of each others work. Tical_Blue eventually disappeared (reappearing as 21st Century Digital Boy without Split?s knowledge) and Split Keyboarder continued on with his writing and RPing. Somewhere along the line his name changed to ForgotteÑ-HerÖ and he and DB reinstated their tradition of writing and reviewing each-others work while simultaneously constantly picking on each other. Currently, this is still basically all F-H does. -
Coolest song of the week for me has to be WONDER BOY- by Tenacious D so amazing.
that it is. lol, I posted this in the wrong thread... the song Four Winds by Bright Eyes is a nice surprise for a song on MTV! I really like the messages in this song and especially a certain part that I currently have in my sig. I do like your idea, except that I don't really like short stories. Personally I always read the poems that some through here, as I don't have the patience for short stories. But that's the beauty of this thread, because someone else surely does and anyone who is going to post here will surely offer comments. As for your poem, Deathknight, I found it interesting. After the third pargraph I had to reread it, and I have a theory, though since you said you didn't know what it was, I guess I can't speak for your intent. I took it as a sort of war tale. It seems like the narrator is an emperor, the fishermen being invaders. They try to use their hooks to take his land. He follows them back to their country, though, and a battle seems to break out -- apparently one where he is killed. And then he has his terra-cotta soldiers to protect them, which makes me think that it was about that Chinese emperor. I like it, whatever it may be. The mere fact that it stimulated that much thought from me speakes volumes about it's quality. Jolly good! Here's some stuff I wrote in skewl today. The first one is autobiographical, the second is about something entirely different, and the third was written as a song, and is about suicide.
think what's most interesting about those two is that they were most likely created by two different players who had no clue what the other person was creating. It's like somehow they created characters who would really make the game interesting without realizing that they were doing so. Hehe!
i have my own theory on this. Seeing as how the two are so utterly perfect rivals, I can't helo but think while one of the players created one, Rach may have slipped in the other. i could be wrong, though. In any event, it is awesomely coincidental that those two people would do such, lol.

My favorite piece yet, even though it took me a full hour to create!!! I also got my turn with Deoky in before it was too late! Now I'm unbearably anxious to see who dies next!

Hahaha! So very easy! Deoky felt as relaxed as if he were lounging in his chair after a day of conquest. Only a place like this where he had such people to manipulate and such complex design to explore could he feel at home. In the Belagosi cosmos, he was a terrifying emperor with power unparalleled. His days involved only two things - conquest and relaxation. While a day with his harem of the most beautiful young women in all Belagosi was surely more relaxing than a dangerous maze, Deoky was happy to be able to participate in a toy of a maze. It was an amusing venture, and one that he had enjoyed thus far. H was toying with these people, and he loved it. It didn?t even occur to him that this place would have even the slightest power over him. He and the two young women continually walked along a maze of corridors. Occasionally they might spring a trap, but Deoky was always ready. ?Look out!? He?d cry and then quickly grab an arrow just before it impaled Rebecca?s chest on catch Vanya just before she tripped down into a bed of spikes. Deoky was unimpressed by the simplicity of the traps, but glad that they helped fortify the young ladies? ever-growing trust in him. Every time Rebecca flatteringly smirked at him and winked he knew even more that he would have her. He could delve into her mind -- he knew what she was capable of. He looked forward to taking hold of her, parting the ground itself as they woke up the dead. At the same time, Rebecca had some sort of unexplainable urge to get close to him. She could sense that he was one to follow - though Deoky was part of the reason for that with his mentally stimulating her. Her mind was gradually filling with thoughts of him. Neither her nor Vanya noticed, but she was loosing track entirely, even of where she was. Traps would go off and Deoky would rescue her, though the latter was all that occupied her mind. She was becoming nothing more than Deoky?s plaything. Were he not holding her at bay, she?d have jumped on him and gone wild even with Vanya present. Meanwhile, Vanya?s thoughts were less preoccupied. She still felt like she was concentrated and every trap had the same effect. There were just certain tidbits she wasn?t noticing, such as Rebecca?s mindlessness or Deoky?s inane ability to block every last trap. She didn?t even know that a sizeable portion of the traps were of his own illusionary design. And yet, her mind was always focused on what lie ahead, still believing that she was in great danger. Deoky intended to keep her that way. The group found themselves at another large metal door. Vanya quickly strode over to open it as Deoky stood behind. Rebecca, eye?s devoid of emotion, was clinging to his arm tightly and smiling endlessly. Even just his arm placed against her was enough to make her feel attended to. The three stepped into a large, box-shaped room. The walls, floor, and ceiling were all an outlandish red, and other than that the room was completely empty. ?Well? that?s odd,? Vanya declared blatantly. ?Wait for it,? Deoky responded, immediately predicting that some sort of trap was afoot. Just then there was a glitch in space. For a very brief moment the room froze and unfroze; something no one could have possibly noticed. Except Deoky, of course. His internal clock didn?t match up. He could tell that his thought had been ceased for a moment. But why? ?Ah?? Rebecca?s head, which at this point may as well have been empty, turned toward her arm. There was a small cut above her elbow from which a miniscule drip of blood was trickling. Deoky?s eyes shot open with surprise. In the second where time had frozen, something attacked! ?We need to find a way out, quickly!? He bellowed, commandingly. Immediately he and Vanya began inspecting the room, Vanya banging on the walls and stomping around while Deoky carefully examined the ceiling and walls, hoping to sense some sort of hole behind one of them or an opening anywhere. He couldn?t find one. Even if one of these walls led to another room he could have punched clear through, but instead the room was completely isolated. It was as if the room were all alone out in space. There was another glitch. Deoky quickly turned to his companions but found them to be perfectly fine. He felt something trickling down his face. Quickly, he raised his hand to his cheek. Blood?! There was a fine cut along his face. Deoky growled. Ordinarily he could have called and instantly had someone on-hand with healing magic to make this better, but currently there were no such mages about. He began to become flustered. He turned to the first wall in sight and was ready to punch it to smithereens, but as his arm was traveling another glitch occurred, throwing him off-balance. His shirt was torn and a small amount of blood was pooled in the fabric. Deoky was highly annoyed. This place was nigh inescapable and they wouldn?t be able to stay for long, lest they be chopped to pieces by the glitch. As this though occurred, another glitch passed. ?Gah!? Vanya reached down to a small cut on her leg. Deoky then realized the key to this puzzle. The cuts were so small each time - the maze was trying to tear them apart slowly it seemed, all the while as they toiled away searching for an exit and going mad. Hah! How many fools had fallen into this trap, but not him! He even laughed as he thought of all the people who?d been foolish enough to let this place tear them to pieces. He knew the answer would be somehow obvious. Deoky sat down and took a meditative position. Vanya would have surely asked what he was doing had he not washed her over with thoughts of assurance. He concentrated deeply. Even in his brashness, Deoky was a ruler over his powers and fully capable of adhering to any such trial. He waited carefully. There! The glitch occurred but this time Deoky was prepared. In the split second time had become unbelievable slow, and so Deoky became slow with it. The entire world had become gray, and Vanya and Rebecca with it. But Deoky merely stood up. He must have been moving at an unparalleled speed as he stood up. That?s when he saw it. On the ceiling a small turret came down and took aim at Vanya. It fired a small bullet, which this time Deoky caught in midair. The split-second ended with Deoky now suddenly right in front of Vanya with his arm outstretched containing something in his closed fist. ?A turret. It shoots us at a speed so fast it?s near incomprehensible. When it next happens I will pull it from the wall.? Deoky waited a minute and when the next glitch occurred, he jumped and grabbed the barrel of the turret. With one yank he pulled the entire gun from the ceiling and crushed it against the floor, the pieces scattering. As the glitch ended, a door appeared. ?Let?s move,? Deoky commanded, lifting Rebecca to her feet and onto his arm once more. The three stepped through the door into a new complex of hallways.

Art It's Quiet Here... [Suggestions?]
2010DigitalBoy replied to Retribution's topic in Creative Works
I only don't participate in this forum for a few reasons. The first is that I have no ability in graphic art, and that's most of what seems to go on here. The second is that I can't draw worth a damn, and I'm far too embarassed to try and show you what I can do. The third is that when I have posted things in the past, they have gotten no replies at all >_< and even then, most of the threads were banner dumps, and my banners always have and always will suck. Maybe you could give out graphic art lessons if your bored? *pleading!* -
I wouldn't put people into intelligence groups, lol. I tend to think Forgotten Hero and BKstyles are pretty good contributors all-round. I don't know why some people get the impression that they're always at the bottom of the ladder, lol. 2007DigitalBoy can be cool, but he plays the victim way too much. 90% of the way he thinks he's perceived is in his head - and one has to be careful with that, because it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. I never cease to be surprised at where people think they sit on the "ladder", lol.
For the first part, I only said that about F-H because I love making fun of him, as is noted in his sig. After all, he is one of my favorite people here at OB :animesmil As for what you say, I can totally see that, XD It is true, because I am a person in my own world which I have allowed no outside influence on, trying to create my own beliefs and put myself at the center of the world, always assuming that everyone's attacking me and such. Maybe I just need a diet pepsi. (hint: click) I really do think I should go somewhere near the bottom, considering I do enter most of these arguements with a half a clue of what I'm talking about and by the end of my posts I usually disagree with myself >_< I need to concentrate more on this. It doesn't help, though, that I only tend to participate in those threads when I'm in a bad mood. Otherwise I avoid. Besides, at 15, I'm allowed to make as many mistakes as i want, lol

I can remember a time when my entire life was dedicated to the premise of writing a magazine. When I was 11 years old I hand-wrote a 95-page Nintendo magazine, using a lightboard to trace the images out of a Nintendo Power. Took me all summer. At 13 I remember typing out several 'anime review' magazines with my cousin expecting that I could make a bunch of copies and leave them on the magazine rack at Wal-mart or something. Nowdays i know better, though i do look lovingly back on those days. But now I know how much you need to be able to do to make one. Graphic artists, a staff of writers, people who can find the latest scoops and keep up with things, people 'in' with the business.... especially with anime you ned to know what's happening in Japan and such. you've got to be able to mass-produce it, too. Then you've got competition with stiff like Newtype and Anime Insider... ...so tell me. What do you have? Do you actually know what you're getting into, or are you a 12 year old with grand ambitions?
I still have mine as well as my death card and Darren still has his death card as well
A frightening thought, 2 still left. There will only be 6 players by rounds end and the possibility of more special cards floating around ;) But hey, this game has so many twists, we could be up to like 10 people by next round, lol. EDIT: Too close to bed time. Expect at around 3:45 AM
