The raging instrument amalgamation grew in a cacophony of immense disturbance. Holding tight to their ears, the group was searching around for an exit but not seeming to find out anywhere. ?Gh-ghah!? Neheb growled as a bass chord stabbed at his eardrum. ?The tiles!? Fredrick called out over the music, but now one was able to hear him. Everyone was so busy writhing and holding onto their ears that they couldn?t offer their attention! Fredrick quickly began stomping around the dance floor on each panel trying to knock it loose. Meanwhile Liam was scouring the walls and staring up the ceilings to try and find a door. Andrew and Neheb were falling to their knees. The group panicked. Liam began slamming himself into the walls trying to knock them down. Fredrick began to feel a small trickle of blood coming from his eardrum. He could see that Neheb?s hands were red with his own blood. Finally he turned his attention toward the track lights above. ?Gyah!? With a leap, Fredrick grabbed onto the small light, ignoring the burning sensation that shot into his palms. With his weight added onto it, the track light slid downward -- an entire section of the ceiling descending with it. It slid 3 feet down , letting Fredrick just down to the ground. What had descended appeared to be a massive block, but there was a hole in the side of it like the platform mazes often found in children?s jungle gyms. Liam and Neheb quickly began running toward the block Fredrick had pulled. Despite his ears begging not to be uncovered, Fredrick jumped and grabbed the ledge that was now open ad quickly climbed up into the pitch-black room above. As he did, Liam and Andrew, too, began to climb up. Neheb approached but it was quickly made evident that he wouldn?t be able to jump high enough. Fredrick extended his hand down to Neheb, but the boy wouldn?t pull his hands from his ears. ?Neheb! You have to grab my hand! You have to pull your hands away for just a second!? Fredrick tried to yell, but the young king couldn?t make out his words. Tears were pouring down the boy?s face as he gawked at the older men above. ?God fucking damn it, grab my hand!!!!? Neheb meekly began to pull his hands from his ears but the music was only getting worse. Blood erupted from his ears and he replaced his hands, falling to the ground in a ball. ?NOOO!!? Fredrick howled. It was too late. Neheb let out a terrifying scream and his head exploded. The boy?s brain-matter shot out and coated the floor of the disco room and a fountain of blood spewed from his neck. Fredrick and Liam watched in utter fright as the frail, decapitated corpse fell to the ground and crimson oozed out, pooling around. The platform the two sat on began to raise, closing the hole that led into the room below. Liam, Andrew and Fredrick were left in the pitch-black room with nothing but overwhelming shock.
Just wait until I write up my next death. I guarantee you that it will be quite shocking, in more ways than simple gore is. :pAh, sounds like you've got another new card up your sleeve. Should be fun to see just what it actually is. And I see that we are going to have transport cards as well. Those are great fun as well, if only to insert more chaos into the game. lol
Not yet! As one who has been in a few online relationships, and even now has some friends online that are closer than most of my outside-world pals, I think I can give an inside view on the situation. First of all, I'm tired of all the ------- imbeciles who bash this medium of dating without knowing anything about it. I personally applaud internet dating. After all, people go into dating blind half the freaking time IRL; they get all into it and end up screwing some broad then falling out 6 months later only to realize your having someone's kid --- dating is a freaking monstrosity. So, in that light, internet dating can be a lot safer than offine at times. So you say your blind to what the other person is? Well, really, if you take into account that for it to even become a relationship it takes a certain trust that you have to deepen between each other. Trust me, it isn't to hard to tell if someone's a fake. And besides, if you're looking for a serious relationship, honesty is where it's at, no? Most of the people I've seen 'internet dating' fall into 2 categories. 1. People who aren't taking it seriously: these people aren't really effected by any of it. Theor joking around with other internet goers, prolly cybering their heads off and jking around... 2. People who are taking it serously: Who tend to be honest people who are good friends with someone else and it works it's way to the point of being romantic. I know i've been in this position before. In the end, for most younger folk internet dating leads to nothing but guess what? There's NO CONSEQUENCE! So it's not like you can bash it for being inneffective -- it's just like regular dating only without sex! And anyway there are lots of people - usually older ones - who find longstanding partners through the internet.

Every game-turned-movie pretty much has sucked, but I can see this being interesting. MGS is very cinematic and the director is a man who based his directing off of film directing. It's really no surprise he'd want to do a movie, and what better way to do so than to ride off the success of his game series which is one of the mosrt well-known out there? I'd say this could be a monumentally interesting film.

Writing Hey.. Any thoughts? Some Poetry By Me
2010DigitalBoy replied to Silent_sword909's topic in Creative Works
Heya! This thread will be closed, though you'll be allowed to open another, but for now, here's what I think of this work. Firstly, I just wanted to note that this extremely reminds me of when I was first getting into poetry about 2 years ago and I was writing like crazy. It's not perfected, but it's still got a lot of potential and some things that will make it work. I think I actually got a lot out of these poems because I could really feel you speaking them and it felt real. It didn't feel like a person who was just writing a poem, it felt like a person who was expressing exactly how they felt in an artistic manner, and that's really what poetry is about in my opinion. I appluad you for that. for the first poem, my favorite thing is the sceme which is kind of strange but a little fun. I think that it does throw you off a little because around the beginning it took me a second to figure out how I was going to read it comfortably, and that is never a good thing. As for the poem itself, I found it enjoyable/ Once again, it really felt like it came from the heart. As for the second poem, there are something I like and some that I don't . I don't mind your style of writing, but I think you got a little off topic with this one. Like... you were on a continuing train of thought that really could have probably been split into multiple poems, but because you were coming up with things as you were writing, it all got fused into one. You had no definitive plan walking into it, but you still liked the result. I have done this in a lot of my earlier work and it's kind of funny to read if you can't re,e,ber what inspired you to write it in the first place. Overall, I'd say I like your style, it just needs a little honing - the kind you can figure out on your own. -
*looks at list* The list of my favorite bands can be confusing at times, but i think the next logical choice would be... Mastodon - Interestingly enough, I actually have never heard their first CD and their second one I'm no raging fan of. Leviathan, their sophomore release, was largely popular for it's deep, churning grind of technical riffs, deep sludge, and all sorts of vocal styles. While the songs Blood and Thunder and Seabeast were both great in my opinion, the other 8 tracks were nothing awe inspiring. ...But then, last year in '06 the band released their mainstream debut Blood Mountain. This is one of the first metal albums in a while to be placed in the top 10s of magazines like Rolling Stone, played on MTV, and even liscenced by Warner Records. Does this mean their sound was more watered-down? Not even close. The album is a thousand times more technical and all-around beefed up than Leviathan. (in interest of not repeating things I typed before, this will be copied from my review site) Blood Mountain immediately bursts into action with brutal drum beating , a maniacal guitar slide, and a kick into the ultra-heavy beast of a track that is The Wolf Is Loose. This style of brutal intricacy is also heard in the second track, Crystal Skull, as well as others such as Circle of the Cysquatch and Hand of Stone. The songs Sleeping Giant, this Mortal Soil, and Siberian Divide have a very trippy sound with lots of airy riffs and an eerie vibe emitted. Capillarian Crest, Colony of Birchmen, and Hunters of the Sky feature a more raw metal sound and elements of stoner-rock with sick riffs and shredding solos. Finally there are two instrumental tracks. Bladecatcher is pure insanity and must be heard to be conceived. Pendulous Skin is a more relaxed, 7-minute track with a calm yet chilly air. Afterwards is around 15 minutes of silence and then a secret fan-letter message. The vocal style greatly varies between, and often during, tracks. At times there is deep yelling, growling, or screaming, while at others there is gruff singing, calling, or even speaking. And then there?s the really freaking strange voices that make your brain explode. Between the two vocalists is a wide variety of styles. Also, there is a brief guest appearance from Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta. Lyrically, the album is adventurous and more than a little strange. Lines like ?Into the black hole/searching for crystal/making the veins bleed? riddle the often cryptic plot. The concept apparently deals with finding the legendary Crystal Skull, bringing it to the summit of Blood Mountain, and traversing dimensions with it?s power. On the way are battle with many strange beasts, such as the Cysquatch; a one eyed sasquatch that can see into the future. Blood Mountain is the perfect disk for anyone looking for a heavy CD with unique elements and a portrayal of great skill.

Anime Cartoon network going down the drain with anime?
Blood + is pretty, but boring. Same with Eureka 7. Mar is lame, One Piece has always been lame, last I checked they'd taken Bo-bo-bo off the air, and Zatch Bell is just plain stupid. At least Prince of Tennis was good for a laugh. One of those "so bad, it's good" types.
I resent parts of this post. I will agree that Blood+ is just boringness with good animation, but Eureka 7? Even if you don't enjoy it, that show is very active and cool. It's got a good story, likable characters, and a big WTF ending. Mar isn't meant for anyone above like 12, and since this IS Cartoon Network and they DO have a demographic to appeal to, it's a good choice. My little brothers absolutely love it. One Piece is lame because of what has been done to it, true, but I'm sure it has a lot of fans -- it is the number 1 anime in Japan so it's gotta be doing something here. Little kids love all that retarded yelling and stuff. Remember - demographic. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is still on and that is one of the greatest shows ever conceived, so shut up, lol. As for Zatch Bell, I really like that show as do my little brothers and, once more, CN's target audience. -
Sonic The Hedgehog As we all know, when Sega first entered the gaming scene, they needed a mascot. They found that mascot in Sonic the Hedgehog, the fastest guy around. Over the course of the nineties we received tons of Sonic games, from the main series titles like Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic Blast and the like as well as more unconventional series like Flicky and that one horrid party game. Sonic spawned a ton of other crap -- multiple TV series, a long-running comic series, more games than anyone can count, all sorts of toys, CDs, and much more. In recent years the Sonic candle has dimmed a little as his name becomes a moniker for terible games. The new Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360 being one of the worst things I've ever touched, as well as that really bad Shadow the Hedgehog (though strangely enough most of the fans seemed not to hate it :/) though it has managed to keep afloat with great titles like Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonich Dash. Sonic the hedgehog has an immense fanbase, from the old gamers who played it in the nineties, to the peole who started with Sonic Adventure 2 and have been a fan since. Sonic weilds a ton of memorable characters such as Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Metal Sonic, Doctor Robotnik (or Eggman as he more recently came to be known), Shadow the Hedgehog, Big the Cat, Cream and Chease, Rouge the Bat, and a whoe slew of other weird animal creatures.

Beavis And Butthead Everything I know in life, I learned from this show. My parents watched it all the time because they have a stupid sense of humor and, let's face it, this was the only place you could see any good music videos on MTV. When I was young, Beavis and Butthead were my idols. I learned to cuss, be a dumbass, and enjoy good music from them. Unfortuanetally I was still pretty young when it went off the air and a lot of that was lost.... ...Until years later when my personality refleted those lessons once more and, wouldn't you know it, MTV2 brought it back for a stint. Beavis and Butthead is inarguably one of the greatest television series of all time and no classic metalhead can argue with the duo's virtuosity and awesome stupidity. If you have never watched this show, you have never enjoyed life as it should be.

I think I just changed my mind -- the gross imagery of Darren's killing takes the cake for the most disgusting. Just imagining the blood following from Rebecca's foot as she danced then her entire bottom half getting crushed and seconds later the rest is squashed -- ew. I feel like my next killing will have to feature the full extent of my brutal imagination -- that is IF the next round lets us have any deaths, hehe

Anime Cartoon network going down the drain with anime?

If you can afford cable, you aren't poor. If you aren't poor, you have some kind of opportunity. I could save loose change for 2 weeks and get 50 bucks (and ye, I have) you could mow no more than 3 lawns, you could GET a parttime job, you could save up for a bit, you could get the boxsets for your birthday or christmas or whatever you celebrate, you could do some chores for cash, you could steal the damn money --- there is no viable excuse. The Trigun DVDs have been marked down consistently by Pioneer in all their re-releases, and if your gunna watch it again at this point, you might as well grab the enhanced edition anyway. Same goes for Cowboy Bebop. Outlaw star is only like 35 bucks for the CC. Not to mention you could easily find any of them on the computer free and illegal, and with so little risk it's laffable. -
Anime Cartoon network going down the drain with anime?

Listen, I can agree that Cartoon network siphons *** juice these days with such shows as Camp Lazlo, MGPIAM, and such, but that has little to do with anime. Firstly, know this. Only certain anime become successful, such as Inuyasha, Bleach, Naruto, etc. but much more of it doesn't do so well. According to AS's charts they do WAY better with their American shows than trheir Japanese ones for the most part. The anime we do get is a prevelege, and I'll be damned if I'm going to watch the privelege go to waste on constant reruns of crap. Samurai Jack is not anime. DBZ is still on. Rurouni Kenshin didn't appear on CN until Toonami became a Saturday thing! And then they switched it back for season 2, but know what? I hated it! I mised almost every episode! Not to mention RK and Gundam Wing are two DVDs that are fairly cheap, easy to find used, and abundant. Instead of wanting to diminish people's chance to see new anime so that you can revel in your little retro glory, get 50 bucks and buy the series yourself. -

I DO NOT want to watch the entirety of Cowboy Beepop, Trigun and Yu Yu Hakusho for the 40-freaking-millionth time thank you very much. How can you even jhoke like that? Bring back old shows? But that's what they are - old shows - done shows - OVER SHOWS! Get them out of your mind and just enjoy the new stuff. If you can't find a cheap way to watch Ronin Warriors on your own you simply aren't trying and DBZ is STILL coming on (MUCH to my chagrin). The day when Inuyasha and DBZ are finally pulled from the CN lineup I'll have a freaking baby, swear to god. I commend AS, though, in their bringing of much newness to the forefront. Their geting fast too - Blood + had practically just been aired. -

Akira mentions that Minoru is sitting farther away, Minoru scoots closer, and then Akira scoots away the same amount[/spoiler']
Yes, that moment was awesome, lol. (Also Des, nice to see more Konata-chan fanboys, though beware, lest you end up one of the fellow lolicon!) I think the Japanese-to-English fjord has come into view clearly now. This show has so many culture references it becomes hard to follow... like someone said 'I feel like a Japanese person watching the Simpsons'. It's hard to keep reading what the characters are saying and have to look up at the culture notes every couple seconds. I will agree with everyone that
Tsukasa-chan's hair in the ponytail was so insanely adorable... I just want to draw her... and Konata's didn't work as well - my favorite part of her character design is how her hair falls directly down about her
. This episode was missing the lol of episode 2 but was still fun -- i think it would have been at least a bit more comedic if I weere japanese, heh. As someone also said, Konata really is the driving force behind this show and one of the most pure-to-the-core otaku I've seen in anime. My favorite scene had to be when
her and Kagami-chan were playing PS2. Two awesome loli holding PS2 controller = beyond win
. Once again... let me draw them... Oh, and Akira's comment about
Armies of lolicon under her control
was pure genius as it is SO true XD Also, many have complained about the scene transitions - I like them. It doesn't leave you lingering on the last topic.

Anime Darker Than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha
2010DigitalBoy replied to Dagger's topic in Otaku Central
oi! After watching the first 3 episodes with my little brother, i can safely call this show awesome! Kei is simply freaking cool being a perfect actor and a causer of beautiful death. This show gives me the intense feeling of reading/watching Batman. The doll who can see with water channeling and the talking cat are both awesome. Is it just me or is Kei receiving information through those constantly shimmering telephone lines? Anywho, the first 2 parts were great. Pretty girls in distress - dangerous mobsters - it felt very movielike only without being a long boring movie. So far the characters' powers have been cool if nothing particularly new -- but that's where the conpensations come in. Holy crap those things get hilarious (dandilions?!) I crack up every time I see Kei shoveling monstrous amounts of food down his yap. Ai, then we've got the ending of episode 2 and one of the coolest fights I've seen in a while.
Of course there was the whole interesting plot-twist but I'm not interested in talking about that. The battle was too cool. When the explode power guy blew up his own buddy I had to pause for a second just to go 'OH SNAP!!!' And then when the guy did the wall thing and pulled that chick's heart through it took a second to register, but when i realized it was her heart a mixture of creeped-out and brutal delight was abundant.
So far, I look forward to this series continuing. -
Not even as the end of round one and already the most physically strong contestant and the guy most awakre of his surroundings have met their doom. Is it possible you guys are trying to leave nothing but weaker players? lol. The snse of hopelessness grows with each deat -- how will the poor contestants survive?! Only further posts can tell...

Fredrick slowly stepped into the large dome with the stars all around. Like the first corridor, they seemed to be out in space, though this time the reflecting of the stars off the glass made it apparent that the room was in fact a dome with the floor-space of Rome?s coliseum. Besides Fredrick, all the group mates had come from some period of Earth?s past. He smirked a little at their childlike amazement, reminiscing on the times he had first spent among the stars. But this was not a time to be occupied to be joy, he remembered, and curiosity stole back his mind. He quickly looked around the vast arena. Only one door existed - the one they had come from, and they already knew it led out to nothing. What would it be this time? Just as this thought occurred to him, a familiar voice came into the air like it was being projected from a speaker. ?Contestants Fredrick, Liam, Neheb, and Andrew have entered the Astral Chamber. Unlike the other sectors of the maze, you will participate here in a single-round battle. 4 contestants against the Golem beast. Your weapons are located on your backs already. Do what you must.? The woman?s voice from before disappeared and the four men stood hoping that what they heard didn?t match what was about to happen. Fredrick reached behind him and found himself to be gripping the handle of a short, thick blade. A medieval sword. He turned to the others and saw that they each wielded one as well. ?Not the most elegant piece of work, but it will have to do,? he commented, examining the blade. Liam seemed to be able to wield his just fine as well. Neheb, though, being only a skinny child couldn?t even fully lift the blade. ?You?d do best to remain distant, child.? Andrew mused. Neheb?s face scrunched up in anger. ?You?d be right and I shall! I will enjoy watching you fight in my name!? Andrew ignored the boy?s arrogant speech and turned to where a swirling vortex was opening in the far side of the room. ?Necromancy,? Liam suddenly commented in his growling voice. Both of the others turned to him. ?This is a vortex of necromancy from which the dead spring forth after being brought back. I?d warrant a strike upon the head lest this beast continue moving beyond rational limit.? As Liam finished this explanation, a massive hand the size of Neheb?s own body emerged from the hole in space. It?s fingers were large and blocky but green and rancid like rotting flesh. The beast stepped through all at once. What emerged was a creature of humanoid traits but an alien body. It would have measured to 4 meters in height and it looked to wield a massive strength. With a single direct punch it could have slammed a man?s body to the extend of breaking his every bone. All three of the men with their swords drawn bore expressions of shock while Neheb ran as far as he could on the verge of tears. Erasing the initial shock from his mind, Fredrick brandished concentration. ?Let?s go!? He announced and immediately charged at the beast. Timing himself carefully, he jumped just as the hideous creature?s hand came toward him. He ran up the length of the beast?s arm, sword poised for strike and swung at it?s block-like head. Just before the blow connected, though, the creature?s fingers caught Fredrick?s leg, yanked him from it?s shoulder, and cast him barreling through the air. Fredrick?s body crashed into the wall heavily, and he slid 6 feet from it, howling in pain as he crumbled to the ground. The moment the creature?s head turned back downward, though, Andrew had vaulted into the air, then catapulted himself up the monster?s stomach by using the crevices in it?s flesh as stepping stones. With a forced stab he drove his blade directly into the creature?s neck. The creature bellowed deeply and stumbled backward as Andrew kicked backward off of it?s chest. He turned back toward where Fredrick lie. ?Are you alright?!? Fredrick coughed a little and got to his feet. ?I?m not injured! Don?t worry about me!? Andrew turned back toward the massive creature which was gripping at it?s neck, trying to procure the tiny blade. It finally grabbed it, yanking it out of it?s neck. A burst of blood shot out of the gaping wound through the air and more trickled down it?s chest. In anger the beast took the blade and threw it barreling through the air straight toward Neheb! The young ruler?s eyes shot wide as the blade was on a direct collision course with his head, but as he closed his eyes in horror, a massive crunch came from in front of him. He looked up to see that Liam was standing just in front of him, the blade going through his gut and out of his back. A small shot of blood splattered onto Neheb?s face and chest as he stood agape. Meanwhile, Fredrick dashed full-force toward the beast and, just as Andrew had moments before, scaled it in seconds and drove his blade this time into the creature?s face, finally silencing it for good. The monster fell backward and landed in a pool of blood. Fredrick stood a moment on the creature?s face, covered in it?s blood, before getting off and making his way toward where Liam had now collapsed, the Egyptian boy now sitting behind him, bawling his eyes out. Andrew watched from a distance. Fredrick calmly rolled the undead child onto his back, facing his body with eyes still fully open. He stood up and grabbed the handle of the sword, then with a quick motion yanked it from the dead-twice young man, casting it aside as more blood began to seep from Liam?s open wound. Fredrick reached down to move the boy?s eyelids shut, when suddenly a blue hand shot up and grabbed his wrist. All faces filled with surprise as Liam?s grip tightened and he spit the blood from his mouth. His entire body began shaking violently and a blue aura surrounded him. Through the hole in his stomach Fredrick could see the boy?s organs moving back into place to fill the emptiness. After a few disgusting seconds of innards moving, a layer of rotten blue skin began to shroud over the inside gore and became thicker until Liam?s body was hole again. As the process finished, Liam slowly pulled himself up by Fredrick?s arm. ?As I said? the undead can only be destroyed if their brain is destroyed. As a necromancer, I can do this as long as there is a body to be revived. Unlike Samik and the other woman? I was lucky.? Fredrick smiled and stood up, pulling the blue-skinned boy to his feet. ?I can only express joy to have you on our side.? ?Congratulations on your victory. May the Maze continue. Proceed through the next door within 1 minute.? As the woman?s voice disappeared once more, a door appeared just behind the group. Andrew quickly pulled the young emperor to his feet as well as he rejoined the group. ?Shall we??

Jennifer was the first to dive into the pool beneath the earth. Eflair took hold of Ambellina?s hand and the two jumped into the pool. With as much swiftness as she could muster, Eflair swim hard with Ambellina in tow, keeping up with Jennifer. The three emerged at another hole in the ground and found themselves inside another spire. Jennifer looked around through the entrance hole at the other spires in the large room plotting which one they would need to get to first. ?Southeast.? she said through her thoughts. The three hopped back into the water and headed for the next hole. As they emerged, Ambellina found herself gasping for breath. The troupe waited a moment before diving back in, much to Eflair?s chagrin. They continue to navigate the pools. ?North exactly.? Jennifer commanded exactly before diving back in. When she emerged from the next pool, though, she was caught by surprise. Rather than inside a spire, the hole led directly into the middle of the open land! ?GAAH!? she screamed as the sun began to roast her flesh. Just as she would have been boiled alive, though, a hand shot up from the pool and pulled her back under. Eflair grabbed her wrist in her other hand and made her way to the nearest emergence. Both Ambellina and Jennifer gasped for breath as Jennifer examined her body. The tips of her hair and the edges of her clothing had been scorched and her skin had gained an instant tan. ?I think? we should be more careful.? Jennifer said. ?No kidding,? Ambellina replied between breaths. The trio continued their hole jumping being wary of holes in which there was extra sunlight piercing through the water. Finally they found themselves inside of the final column, the door only meters away. There was no hole in sight. ?Shit! What now?!? Ambellina cried. ?Hold on. Maybe it?s a more complicated route.? ?Let me check,? Eflair spoke. Popping underwater, she could faintly see that there was another hole off in the direction of the door. ?I found a way out! The next hole is on the other side of that door!? ?Good work! Let?s go then,? Jennifer replied. Once more the trio dove into the water all at once. Eflair swam as hard as she could, but she didn?t realize her grip slipping. Ambellina?s thin wrist suddenly slid right through Eflair?s webbed fingers. Both Eflair and Jennifer?s heads shot toward her as she panicked and was quickly sinking. Jennifer turned to Eflair. ?QUICKLY!!!? She commanded. Eflair only stared at her. Jennifer?s eyes grew wide as she realized the young woman?s intent. She was going to let Ambellina drown. Turning away, Jennifer quickly dove deeper trying to catch up with the sinking priestess who quickly passed out from over-exertion. Jennifer managed to catch her arm and began trying to swim upward, but the extra weight was going to be too much. She wouldn?t be able to make it to the surface. ?EFLAIR!? She cried. Snapping from her daze, Eflair quickly bolted down and grabbed onto the older woman?s arm and with full force exploded through the hole and onto the surface. The place they emerged was an enormous dark cavern. Jennifer sat crouched on her hands and knees coughing for a second, then turned to Ambellina and began operating CPR. After several breaths, Ambellina shot back to life, coughing profusely. Jennifer immediately turned back to Eflair who looked frightened. Her stare bore into the young girl?s mind. Jennifer walked directly over to her and slapped her across the face with a firm hand. ?Listen to me!!! This is survival! We all need each other, so get over the petty bullshit and make it work, alright?!? Eflair was terrified, but she saw the distinct fear in Jennifer?s eyes. Her message sank in. Ambellina slowly rose and looked over at the pool from which they?d emerged. The water had become ice.

Lara tailed Alden in silence. He hadn?t seemed to notice her at all, but had an unnatural concentration on the path ahead. Lara wondered for a moment if she might?ve followed the wrong person, but the man?s boundless confidence led her to believe that he must have known what he was doing. Before too much time had passed, the two came to the end of the long corridor and, sure enough, a door awaited that was perfectly identical to the ones they had used before the enter succeeding passageways. ?All right!? Lara chimed. Her mind wasn?t particularly with the others at all - after all she didn?t know them. She felt a kind of bond with Alden having decided that she was correct in following him. She rushed over to open the door, but Alden?s hand quickly gripped her shoulder. ?I warn you now,? he began, his voice bold and deep. ?It is unwise to trust the things you find in this place. Everything here is in some way a trap, it seems. Watch.? Alden quickly detached a small spherical object from his belt. Lara watched as he tossed it underhand toward the door. The instant it made contact, a guillotine blade fell from the ceiling, plopping itself directly into the ground. Lara pulled her hand to her chest, realizing it had nearly been lost. Alden reached to his belt once more, this time retrieving a gun-shaped tool. When he pulled the trigger there didn?t seem to be anything coming out, but the door suddenly shifted then slowly creaked open. Calmly, Alden strode through. Lara watched a second in surprise, then smiled and followed along. ?I guess the place you come from is pretty advanced, huh?? ?You could say that. It?s my job to repair weapons and vehicles for combat. I have access to some serious technology. Here.? He handed over to Lara another of the gun h had used on the door. ?By pulling the trigger it projects a wave moving at mach 2. With this you could put a hole through a steel wall.? The pair stepped into the next part of the dungeon, the large door closing behind them. What they entered appeared to be in the middle of a dense jungle. Familiar sunlight danced through the sky and Lara was relieved to see such beautiful scenery as opposed to the dark hallways and evil passages. Alden?s visor did a fine job of blocking out the sun from his vision as he scanned the area. ?Don?t become too enthralled,? he warned, detecting Lara?s emotive radiation. ?This place is a death trap in a nutshell.? Lara shivered. She decided to stay close.

I'm happy to say that I have yet to reach 'prom time' though I am unhappy to say i will be soon. i will say this immediately... unless I have a really serious girlfriend who really wants to go -- it ain't happening. I don't go to school dances, I won't go to no prom. Nothing worse than wearing clothes you hate, listening to music you hate in a place you hate; surrounded by people you hate doing dances that you probably don't like. PASS.

The group of three girls stood on the opposite side of a huge rotating door that blocked them off from the rest of the group. All three had their own thoughts on the matter. FUCK! Ambellina screamed inside. The exact reason for her team choice had been thrown out the window. Flustered, she turned to what she was sure were two worthless teammates. Jennifer was merely standing there with a meaningless expression while Eflair looked completely hopeless. A deepening rage grew within her. ?Shut up.? Jennifer suddenly commanded, shooting an insidious glare toward Ambellina. The young priestess/princess stood transfixed in shock. What did she just say to me?! ?SHUT UP! I can?t concentrate, damn it!? a thick confusion silenced Ambellina?s thoughts and as it did, the older woman?s eyes suddenly shot open wide and turned ghostly white. Her mouth hung agape and she slowly began to rise off the ground. For a moment she was in this position, frozen in midair, then suddenly her head began to turn as if she were searching the surroundings. Both Eflair and Ambellina merely stared blankly as this process continued. Finally, Jennifer?s body came back to the ground and the color returned to her eyes. Keeping her serious glare, she wiped at her mouth with her sleeve. She then turned to Ambellina. ?You want to know the truth? I?m glad we got separated. All those people have physical strength, but they have nothing in the realm of magic.? She then turned to Eflair. ?Eflair. You?ve been able to draw on your nature powers since we entered these caverns, correct?? there was a brief pause. Ambellina then suddenly heard a voice as if it were being channeled into her brain. ?Yes. Unlike our previous location, this place is not synthetic. I believe that we have been transferred to an earthly realm, though I know not how. I can only guess that the beings who created this contest are all-powerful as long as we remain here.? By the time she had finished saying this, Ambellina realized they were speaking telepathically. ?But how?? he began, aloud, but Jennifer?s voice cut into her thoughts. ?I am what your people would refer to as a ?mind-speaker?. I can open channels in other?s conscience and communicate telepathically. I didn?t say anything before in interest of hiding as much as possible, but at this point there is need of my abilities. Between Eflair?s power over nature, your heavenly abilities, and my mental skills we should have a mediocre chance at least, if not a great one.? ?Well then, what are we going to do now, having established this? Are we rejoining one of the other groups?? ?No. I request a covenant of the two of you. If you will join me, I will have you, otherwise you are on your own.? Eflair immediately nodded in agreement. Not having any idea how to respond, Ambellina merely nodded meekly. ?Good. I have found another way out.?
