Uh...well, I think if people are trying to have a regular discussion they care. Especially if you portray these thoughts as being things you actually believe. In any case, there is nothing wrong with posting due to boredom...afterall, OB is here for relaxation/entertainment more than anything, haha. Just don't be surprised if people misinterpret you if you aren't being serious. ~_^
hai, soo desu. I think that about wraps it up. By the way, did you get my message about the anime reccomendation thing? I know this isn't the place, but I didn't know if you had some PM blocker thingy or something, so I had to ask somewhere. I really should have saved a copy >_< To stay on topic. nother thing that grinds my gears is the way my brother's Mac saved documents. It replaces the X button with the 'would you like to save' button, so I'm always paranoid about pressing it. Then, if you don't want to save, it keeps the file in the list of current files, though clicking it just directs you to the recycle bin. What's the point? Also, when you reopen certain programs, it pulls up whatever file you last worked on, and if it's one from the recycle bin, it asks you if you want to see the recycle bin! No! That's why I said 'DON'T save!'
I don't think that every discussion of this kind has to be a blind back-and-forth. It is possible - and probably preferable - to exchange different ideas if only for the purpose of hearing and entertaining alternative points of view. I regularly have discussions with people who may be on the opposite side of an issue to me. The point of talking with them is not so much to convince them that I'm right, it is to share ideas and to consider how/why they came to their conclusions (and vice versa). No, they probably won't change my mind. But by discussing an issue I will gain a greater understanding (and hopefully, respect) for their position. At the very least it will provide perspectives that I may not have considered before. So I would say there is great value to these discussions, it's just unfortunate when they get hijacked by unreasonable people.
See: the rest of my post
Also, whether you are aware of it or not, your participation in such discussions does perpetuate the "cycle" that you apparently don't like. If you don't like such discussions you don't have to participate in them - this is the beauty of a message board, lol. And I mean this in general terms, for anyone who might be thinking the same thing (about religious discussion or whatever else).
Don't get me wrong, I love participating in forum discussions. I have learned so much from them, especially here on otakuboards, over the years. I basically grew up in places like this, using these discussions. I love it. Even in this thread I learned quite a bit. As one who likes to find inspiration in things, I absolutely loved DeathKnights post just a while ago. Even if it was aimed to advise/insult me, i did take something awya from it, and I enjoyed it. I will always participate in this kind of discussion for posts just like that. I think the thing that makes me say I hate this cycle... is merely that it has caused me, personally, to suffer in the past. I have found reliance in this cycle to the point that it contains me, and I feel like if it were somehow broken I could be freed. Who knows? It could be blind romanticism. In any event, the cycle I speak of is a bit of beautiful terror. Kind of like freedom itself. Now... I'm not going to claim that I am necessarily an 'upstanding' member of the cycle. I think I'm a little bit of all three parts. Here on OB I've always been known as the annoying guy. This is mostly because the times I've been most active on OB were times where I was in poor mental health and just wanted a validation of my existence. But that's not so much what it is now. I'm not here making people look at me. In a way, I'm just here laughing at myself for being unable to leave -- I really don't think I can, and it's like... I no longer care about the people here. Wheras every opinion used to be important to me, now they aren't, so why am I still here? What am I getting out of it anymore? That's why my posts are falling out of the cycle. In that sense, I have become completely useless in this type of discussion. But that's not about the OB, just these discussions. I still am a part pf OB as a whole. I still post in the music, anime, and literature sections like a normal person, and as you can see, my posts accel in those places. In there, I am a member of the cycle. But in these discussions, my part is no longer played. That's why I come in here badmouthing religion and race and laughing at myself. Just for the mere fact that I am perpetuating uselessness. And the only reason I'm posting in these discussions? I'm bored! That's all there is to it! I mean, the OB is so insanely slow these days, how could I not be? this isn't even my main forum anymore, I hang out at Megatokyo most of the time these days. It's like -- why SHOULD my posts make sense at this point?! It's not like you care, it's not like I care, it's not like anyone's being effected -- who cares?! But I digress. What REALLY grinds my gears is that every time I have typed a post today there was been a sharp pain in my left hand. It hurts like a *****.
Jews believe in god, they just don't believe in Jesus being the mesiah. Like el duh. [/I']
Thank you for stating the total and complete obvious. while on the topic of obvious, why are so many people corrrecting me for saying 'Christians say told ya so'? If I had said 'christians/Jews/muslimsblahblahblah say I told ya so' would you feel better? I mean, did I say anything that means 'Christians are the only people who believe in god'? Am I suddenly that stupid? I mean, come on, yall are pulling from almost thin air. It was obviously a satirical comment, and yall read way into it and put words in my mouth. I don't have time to list every religion that says 'i told ya so'. I just so happen to get into way more arguements with Christians than other religious groups. I mean, if there's a god, I can't think of one Muslim guy that's gunna come to me and say 'i told ya so'. I don't even know any muslim people. do you get what I mean? Chill out, yo. It's like if I'd said 'if there's no god, L Ron hubbard get's to say I told ya so' and then you said 'your a scientologist'. It doesn't work that way.

I think I have another. I really hate it when people complain about something, yet give it their attention. For example, my parents complain all the time about how MTV doesn't play music, and they watch all the crappy reality shows and stuff it does play. Then there's the internet. There's always these people who pst really annoying stuff and say retarded things to get on people's nerves and act like idiots. But then, as if one idiot wasn't enough, other people have to go and feul his fire by telling him how misguided he is and trying to corect him. It's like, if you can't stand him, why are you even talkng to him? Especially when you don't expect him to listen to you? In fact, the internet itself is distasteful in this regards. All across the web, on all these sites, there are these debates. Between scientists and religious folks, between abortionists and anti-abortionists. Between democrats and republicans. And what happens at the end of the day? Does ANYONE EVER change their mind? No. If you go into the discussion believing in god, some guy in Australia isn't gunna alter your faith. That's the whole reason you are able to argue so passionately in the first place. So then why, why do we continue to engage in these discussions? The only one getting anything out of it is that guy who jumps in, says stupid things and gets yelled at by others. He's just looking for attention and validation and gets it through making people hate him. And at the end of the day, he's laughing while a war without meaning is being typed out in front of him. In the end, I think we all use the internet to make ourselves feel better. we talk about two different things. Things we agree on, and things we don't. We talk about things we agree on to have the warm feeling of knowing that others agree. When we debate, it makes us feel even stronger about what we're debating for. We self-validate our opinion and reassure ourselves and it makes us stronger. then there's those other people. The ones who can't get people to agree with them and can't figure out how to make people debate with them. This kind of person so badly wants to be one of the others, but he can't, so he starts making the others pay attention to him, even if it's negative. that guy is annoying. And yet we do pay attention to him, and he's a necessary part too. That guy is who we vent our frustrations on. He's just another part of how we make ourselves feel better, so it's only natural we validate ourselves further by going against him, even if he's only there so that we will do so. It works in a cycle. And I hate the cycle. I want to break this cycle, and that's my purpose in making these sorts of posts.
The Suffering and Teen Speed aren't the best of the Album though.
Considering I had spent 20 minutes writing my post and 20 looking for vids, I went for what was convenient and what was good for necomers, not necessarily for the best. As for their best... SSTB: Everything Evil, Delirium Trigger, Neverender IKSOSE3: IKSOSE3, Three Evils, the Light & the Glass GAIBS4VOFFTTEOM: Welcome home, The final cut, Once Upon Your Dead Body Andnow, my next choice (and most well known yet) Type O Negative. Type O have what is described as 'Gothic Doom-Metal' as a genre. their songs mostly fall into two categories -- depression and comedy. Most of type O's tracks have a dark, brooding sound with heavy focus on bass and synth. their lyrics are sometimes about the sadness associated with death and love. The other half of their songs fall into any number of comedic trials. Whether it be about lesbian love, a woman who wants to bang Jesus, addiction to TV (and falling in love with TV characters), or proving your not gay. Most people know Type O Negative for lead singer Peter Steele. This guy is freaking huge, coming in at around 6'9" or something like that and having a simply massive build. He's got long black hair and fangs and is a purely evil-looking dude. His voice is increadibly deep as well. And yet he gets onstage and sings things like 'Cinammon Girl' and hilarity ensues. In one of their earlier tours he played a stand-up bass, but held it like an electric bass, his strap being a chain. The band has been around since 1990, effectively making them old, but good. Admittedly, I've never heard their first album, Slow, Deep, and Hard, but I do have Origin of the Feces, a fake live CD that the band made using tracks from their first album and some covers. The album has an audience that yells things like 'you suck! you suck!' and Peter speaks with the audience making fun of them and stuff. At one part the concert is nearly shut down do to bomb threats XD Their album that first made them big, though, was Bloody Kisses. (you may have heard the track Black No. 1 on TV or the radio at some time). This is my 3rd favorite album of all time and a must-have for any metal fan with a sense of humor. From Christian Woman, a 9-minute song about a woman masturbating while thinking about Christ (and the ending chorus 'Jesus Christ looks like me') to the 11-minute Black no. 1 about an evil girlfriend who's a vampire and dies her hair black, and two of my personal favorite songs 'We Hate Everyone' and, of course, 'Kill All The White People'. You can't go wrong with this, people. October Rust is the result of the band and their record label reaching a comprimise of creativity and commercialism. I don't own it, but have heard all of it on youtube, and it is a generally good album. the tracks remain silly, but now there is a lot of stuff pertaining to nature and druids and other folklore. It lacks any of the more fast-paced tracks featured on other albums, but remains satisfying. World Coming Down is the most depressed of all the Type O albums, with almost no comical songs as Peter was apparently going through a very difficult time. Honestly, I've only heard one or two songs from this album, so I can't say much. Life Is Killing Me (which I actually own) combines the sound of Bloody Kisses and World Coming Down to create an even mix of comedy and tragedy. Some of the best songs on here include a remake of the song Angry Inch from Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and We Were (Electrocute) about how old the band has gotten. The album has a lot of airy and calming tracks, making it a great feel-good album listenable at any time, though it isn't all that spectacular. Their latest album, Dead Again, just dropped a couple weeks ago, and I haven't had the chance to procure it yet >_< Apparently, because Peter Steele has recently renewed faith in Catholocism, the songs on it are very imbuned with Christianity. Their best songs from some of their albums include.
"Some of yall are okay, but as a whole"? Either you dislike all of us or come to the true and better realization that within any race and within our species as a whole there are good and bad apples. We could take this a step further and maybe attempt to have you come to a realization that races as a whole are becoming increasingly irrelevant. It is not as if they act as a coherant whole especially in multi cultural countries like the United States.
Yes, I realize that. But I don't mind the other races and their fallacies. white people have no excuse for being so sucky most of the time >_>
As trivial as the possible existence of a sentient, spiritual diety or set of dieties that may or may not have had a hand in creating all of existence as we know it? Are you trying to be funny or are you just absent minded and stupid?
It's a waste of time. Focus that could have been put on bettering ourselves instead spent on believing in god. So many concepts wasted, so much time lost. What does it matter if we were created by a god? Even if we proved it, what good would it do? Christians get to say 'I told you so?' Who cares?
If you could remake it every pro from your point of view would have two or three cons, lol.
What doesn't?
Man, you certainly are making life hard for both yourself and the people you deal with. Are you mildly autistic, perchance?
I doubt it, but then again, I doubt that the fabric of reality is more than an illusion, so who knows -- or better yet, who the hell cares? And wait "making life hard"? By telling people to close the door or not stand behind me while I'm playing video games? What? Oh, my life is so hard, i have to close the door when i go into my brothers room? I'm not allowed the comfort of standing around in the computer room while he's on the internet? That's freaking stupid, I'm sorry. another thing -- blinds. Even though you close them, the sun glare always finds a way to hit the TV. (and before you say move the TV, it's a huge TV). What's the point of blinds, anyway? If you want the sun, you could just open them up, and closing them does absolutely nothing. At night, you don't want people looking in, but they can easily find an angle that sees right through the closed blinds. Why the hell do they even make them? Why not just a straight sheet? And ly make the chord so confusing for children?!
Maybe he just hates the color white. Are you racist against the color white? Because I hate purple. I think that purple is too gaudy for everyday use. Purple is going down!
Actually, by the time I got to number 10 I'd totally forgotten about number one Xd the white chocolate came from it being right after easter when all the white chocolate stuff starts going out again. I can't claim to be a huge fan of white (which, by the way, isn't a color) but then again, I'm not a huge fan of any color. Even Fourescent optic Yellow got boring quick and that's why I changed my name (only using this color even because I don't want to contradict my old posts.) As for purple, i have no real qualms with it. It can be a little prick at times, but Lavender is a kind of purple, so I can't say too much, cuz I like lavender. I'd have to say my least favorite color is red, for every reason there is. The only time red is cool is on the Horde emblem. Don't doubt the horde. ... FOR THE HORDE!!!
I find it rediculously stupid that it takes ramen three minutes to cook. if this is "the food of the gods", they why make me wait three minutes for it?
To make things worse, they actually esxepct you to boil the water first, then pour it into the cup. I find that filling the cup with water and throwing it in the microwave for 3 minutes not only works better, but takes half the time. Go figure >_< Also, cats on the stairs. When I'm going up the stairs (always jumping several steps at a time, I just do), I don't want to have to dodge a damn cat and mess up my groove :animesigh
Have you ever considered taking upon yourself to not[/i'] engage in one of the aforementioned debates? You know...if your arm hurts when you move it...what should you not do? :P
Regardless of what I shouldn't do, chances are I'm going to keep moving my arm until I get used to the feeling, then put it in a position that is deliberately uncomfprtable and sit there for a while (this has happened before) I debate with people for any number of reasons. The first being that I'm almost infinetaly bored. The second that I like the way they react. The third is that it's engaging and challenging, which is fun. The fourth is that I love being able to piss people off just by being myself.

Well, i was reluctant to post here, because A. I had a post in a thread of the same title on the Megatokyo forum that took me about 15 minutes but I couldn't find it >_< B. I look like enough of a jackass here already, much less what I'm guna say, and C. I'm not that bored. But right now I'm that bored, so... 1. White People. Some of yall are okay, but as a whole, I just can't stand white people. Our race is a bastard. I mean seriously, while a lot of us here on OB belong to the cool part of white people, that's only a tiny fragment of white people as a whole, especially in the US. White people as a whole need to get their act together. 2. The Class System. Oh sure, I could do what everyone else does. I could be all 'oh, I hate goth kids and emo kids and preppy kids for being all sucky ***' but no, I'm not. I hate YOU. You who sits here and says bad things about these people. Look at them. All they want to do is be oblivious to the world, living in their own llittle place with all their little like-minded friends. I admit they overstep their grounds a little too often, but the minute you're out of school these people are far from your mind. Let them be! Stop talking abou them behind their backs! Shut up! 3. U. no, not you. Obviously I'm talking about U and I don't just mean the uppercase version of u, and no I'm not complaining about ignoant computer speak. U, as a concept, as a whole, represents the shortening and desecration of our language. I'll be the first to admit, the english language makes no freaking sense whatsoever, but god dammit, it represents our freedom of expression! Remember 1984 people?! 4. Humans. I can just hear everyone going 'oh hell no!' I mean really, there's not much I can say about them that hasn't been said before. NEXT. 5. Opinionated people/people with strong beliefs. Oh god. If I have to get into another arguement over something as trivial as the existence of god, I might just smack somebody. Oh, and then you can scream hypocracy of how I obviously hold my own beliefs of the lack of a holy pressence, blah blah, we could go on like this for hours. I think what should really go into this column is The Human Mind. It's a jerk. 6. Music. See -- Songs that make you want to stab your eardrums 7. People who be frontin'. I caint stand yall. I aint even talkn bout people who caint talk like dey own race, cuzzat aint nothin special, knaamean? so a brotha talk lika brotha - what the hell yall gettin all mad about? Aint no big deal! Now what be makin me mad is, like, people who actually think they somethin they not. Like this dude at my lunch table who think he bi but just sayin stuff cuz he thinks he cool or somethin, or some people who gotta be all like hatin Bush and junk without even knowin why. 8. Activists who are dumb. PLEASE people, find yourself a nice, heavy chunk of hard evidence before you go trying to be a martyr. Yelling 'the government sucks!' and getting 10,000 other people to yell it as well is just annoying. 9. Society. Everything about it. If I could remake it, it would be unlike anything we could see. 10. White chocolate. It just isn't very good.

NOTE: going to edit above post for more info... I agree with everything Jake said about Agalloch. Definetally an amazing band. Pale Folklore and Ashes Against the Grain are two of the grandest items of my collection (The Mantle is great too, but not quite as powerful as the other two. Except for In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion and, my favorite, A Desolation Song) BTW, check out these videos if you're interested: Falling Snow (Live) Not Unlike The Waves (video) cut short from 9 minutes -- one of the greatest songs ever. Before I begin, I would like to state that I place full blame on OCD for doing this to me. Firstly, and most importantly, is doors. If I am in a room with a door, said door must be closed. At first this was more a personal preference, but now it's gotten to the point where idf a door is open, I start freaking out on whoever's near it to close it, or if I'm alone, getting up and closing it. At this point, when people enter a room or begin leaving a room, I find myself calling out 'close the door!' without even thinking. It's mildly frightening. When I'm concentrating on something, namely while playing video games or using the computer, I don't like anyone's head in the room to be higher than mine. I don't know why. It just gives me this really strange feeling and I can't concentrate. In my room a general rule is; stay sitting down, and don't sit too close to me. While on the computer, I usually attempt to command people to leave the room when they come in, or merely stop what I'm doing until they are gone.

Aww, but I know them all! If I guess and someone else already guessed it, do I still get the point?! I know #1 is Edward Elric. Do I get a point or not?
You're so hilarious!
If you are trying to say i'm not funy, I wasn't trying to be. I just hate music. Can I not do that without receiving flak? I don't point and laugh at you for listening to nothing but crap. Also, I agree that drone is unfit to be called music. It's like 4 minutes of one freaking note, a tiny burst of maniacal sound, and then more of that same note. Who's putting this stuff on albums?!
One word: AGALLOCH.
And a wonderful word it is. no matter your musical preference, there is no ecuse to not check them out. I've got techno fans, power-metal fans, and people who like musci in general plopping this in their CD players. My personal favorite band at the time, though, is The Mars Volta. Describing them is not easy -- they are a highly experimental group without all the chaos usually associated with the genre. They mix hard rock, salsa, progressive, and post-rock into a massive blend of awesome. The two-man group produces some of the best things I've ever heard. (Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar A Rodriguez-Lopez come from At the Drive-In BTW) Their first release, De-Loused in the Comatorium, is an hour-long adventure through the mind of a guy in a freaky *** coma. Be forewarned -- the lyrics make NO sense unless you put unreal effort into decoding them (see thecomatorium.com/forums). This doesn't matter, though, because Cedric Bixler-Zavala's voice is wonderful. This album contains ten tracks, each it's own small universe (except maybe the first two, Son et Lumiere and Inertiatic ESP, which form one track). Many complain that there are too many parts where the mosic boils down into being overly scarce, but I beg to differ. Anyone with even the slightest affinity for post-rock will see that the slow parts on De-Loused are hardly anything. where the album shines is in delivering genuinely good, memorable tracks that you'll want to hear again and again, and forming a definite atmosphere. Frances the Mute is the tank of the Mars Volta rejime, and my personal favorite album of all time. Warning -- it takes nuts of steel to listen to this album. Coming in at 1 hour and 17 minutes, the album is a behemoth and designed to be listened to in one sitting always. If your one who listens to music casually, FTM is NOT for you. The album is broken into 5 tracks. three of them are in the 13 minute range, one about 5 min, and the monster, Cassandra Geminni, comes in at 32 minutes total (broken up into 8 tracks for the CD). This album is not like anything you've evr heard and can't be explained as well as you could experience it. I've heard this CD over 250 times, and I still sometimes find new things about it. This album is what got me into music as a whole and is a must-hear for fans of anything unique. i cannot through out enough reccomendations. TMV's third album, Amputechture, doesn't nearly reach the plateu of their previous albums, but is still a solid release. It takes a far more progressive approach, but it's folley is trying to cram too much together, with tons of track overlapping and a lot of stuff that's impossible to hear until you've listened to the album a few dozen times. At first, I couldn't really get into it, but once I did, I found that it is still a great release, and still fit to wear the title of a TMV track. The upsode to Amputechture is that it's the first TMv album where each track can be taken in individually, though most are still very long. One of the most notable facets of TMV is their live performance. Nothing is definitive in a TMV performance. They have all sorts of song additions, strange things they throw in, and they sometimes take a 12 minute track and make it 45 minutes long. I would kill to see them live. (though youtube does an outstanding job of saving someone's life.) As for some of their best songs: Son et Lumiere + Inertiatic ESP (DITC) live (actually normal sounding mostly) This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed (DITC) Eva spoilers!!! But don't worry, worth it for this amazing song + AMV best of DITC Drunkship of Lanterns (and part of Eriatarka) (DITC) The Animatrix spoilers!
*hands you Classical* Walk the walk! The great classical musicians have more talent than any other band that ever existed.
What makes classical so great? So some guys cn strum a violin, so can 80,000 other band nerds. Plus, music is meant to be entertaining and unique. It has to bring the thunder on both fronts. Some people find the stuff above entertaining, but it lacks skill and beauty. Classical may have the skill, but it's no fun to listen to, I get noting out of it. It's like tasting wine. You sip it say 'how nice' and spit it back out. It's just a pointless excuse to show off how classy you are. Screw classical. I'd rather dring anal fecal matter >_> And before anyone says 'alright then, wat do you listen to?' I'm not here to protest and promote my favorite bands and say 'oh their so muc better than this crap, they are so great!' because to someone they could be a pile of turds chenneled onto a disk. Everyone has their own opinion and while I hate it, I'm not going to try to change it. And thus I say 'screw music' :animesmil

SCREW MUSIC You know what makes me stab my ears? Everything. Everything everywhere. I don't care if it's the annoying screaming crap streaming on the metal channel with bands like From A Second Story Window and Vampire Moose. I don't care if it's some hip-hop bullcrap with punk-*** lyrics and 'chicken-freaking-noodle-soup' blaring out of the mouths of such crap-factories as T.I. and Young Jeezy. I don't care if it's some gay love song belted out by a prissy genetically-altered bimbo who can't sing worth a damn hogging my television like that wretched Avril Lavigne or some K-Fed BS. Don't even get me started on those emo kids with sucky one-note guitar plucks under a horrid screaching voice as Saosin or My Chemical Romance spew turds out of the speakers of my TV. Music sucks. Unless you find those scarce few bands who acutally exert themselves and create something worthy or hearing. Get people with actual, real talent who pour their souls into their instruments and play something real and you have a band. Otherwise all you have is a pile of crap, and that's most of what I see these days.

Been outta the loop for a while now. I haven't been doing musical research at all lately in light of my newly recovered anime-dom and current lack of cash. In light of that I've been revisiting a lot of classics such as the Gorillaz albums, two of the greatest pieces ever conceived, and some other stuff I haven't been hitting so much lately. A lot of focus has also been on Tenacious D with having just purchased the DVD and inviting my friend over so that he, my brothers, and I could sing-along with the movie. Great times. Song of the week? none in particular. Just push in the Tenacious D album and chill to Lee and Karate and pump out some phat gorillaz tunes to chill yo head. Oh, wait, don't let me forget. Billy and Mandy' Big Boogie Adventure The Movie just hit Cartoon Network and the insert song Scardy-O is pure undisturbed gold. You must hear it to conceive it ;)

Ever listen to a CD so many times you don't even here it anymore? These days a ton of my albums just go right over my head when I hear them. I can't even listen to them anymore because my mind won't hear them. i already know what's going to happen next and it makes it difficult to listen to O_o It's really a shame because some of these are my favorite albums of all time Frances The Mute - the Mars Volta - I consider this album to have been my entryway into everything I listen to now as well as the greatest album of all time. When I first got into it, i went to the legendary Mars Volta forum, The comatorium, and began observing the massive decoding sessions ever-playing out there. For about a week I did nothing but go between my room and the computer room listening to the CD and researching it. I kept listening to it for a long time and eventually it became unhearable. De-Loused In The Comatorium - the Mars Volta - When I first bought this CD several months after owning Frances the Mute i actually didn't like it all that much (or rather, didn't pay enough attention to it). Eventually, though, I got on a streak where I had these two albums in a playlist and would just rerun it constantly. A few months ago I lost the ability to hear it. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 - Coheed and Cambria - I remember when I first bought this and I was listening to it while watching my brother beat Radiata Stories. I loved it so much that I didn't like the different styles of their other two albums and would only listen to this one. It's funny cuz now this is actually my least favorite of their albums >_> The Second Stge Turbine Blade - Coheed and Cambria - it took me a long time before I gave this album a fighting chance as it's emo-ness kept pushing me away. One time I really payed attention to it, though, and just from the amazing opening of Time Consumer I was drawn in. For almost two weeks i listened to this album three to four times a day and would sing it constantly. Even after I lowered the frequency it managed to get a lot of runs. it took a good while for it to become hard to hear. City of Evil - Avenged Sevenfold - Part of the reason for this is because certain tracks are played on the radio a lot and because a lot of the songs sound very similar. This is another one that for two weeks i played almost constantly. For the most part I would listen to it while gaming when I was on one of my previous gaming kicks, and once I got off that kick I got off the CD. Demon Days - Gorillaz - this one happened over an expanse of time. Of all the CDs I've listened to while playing video games, this one has seen the most action. Before I became a CD-junky this was about all I had along with some Green Day albums which got maniacal rotation. Eventually it got to the point where the firt 6 songs all sounded the same and the rest I wouldn't want to listen to >_< Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park - Back when I was young this was my favorite album and got a freaking ton of spins. It's so short that it's easy to get burned into your skull.

Hidamari Sketch is a new show from the director of Negima?! and The Soultaker and is a slice-of-life comedy much in the vein of Azumanga Daioh or Yotsuba. the story is of four high school girls (as seen above) and their daily life. Like Azumanga Daioh, it is based on a four-panel comic strip and the episodes have no linear plot whatsoever. What sets Hidamari Sketch apart from Azudai is it's general tone. Instead of hyperactive and loud, it's more quiet and cute. One of the most interesting things about this show is the animation. The characters themselves are nothing special, but the show has a very experimental style and lots of strange moments. Often there are images thrown in and strange things in the background. Sometimes things will look like magazine cutouts and real pictures. there is a lot of chibi-mode and a lot of single-color or flying-color backgrounds. Of the three episodes currently translated, the first two are alright, and things look to be getting better with the third. So far this anime shows promise and I will remain keeping an eye on it as it progresses. EDIT: The post disappeared in the time I took to write this. I have waited more than 2 weeks for someone to post in this thread, and this is what you have to say? You cannot even perceive how disappointed I am. And screw looking forward, the show's already going, just go find it. Chances are, it'll never see American release. Anyway, I'm glad I now have the opportunity to talk about the show up to episode six. I will say this in advance -- as of episode 5 this show is Super Awesome. (episode 4 review lost in space.) Episode 5 was complete and utter brilliance. The dream sequences were purely awesome (I guess Shimbo used them as an excuse to get crazy) which reminds me, the part where the ice shatters and Yuno is faling through the air was totally a Soultaker reference... There were so many good things about this episode I don't know where to start. I'll probably have to watch it again later just to remember. Episode 6 was sexy and awesome >_< I find myself growing attached to the characters, all of them have such adorable quirks while still being mature enough to be likeable. They are some of the better anime cliches out there by far. The relaxed humor really finds a way to drag me in and is thoroughly enjoyable. I love this show :D Fixed - Ikillion

1. It doesn't. At all. The onyl place you really see this is on dehydration capsuls. If you eat them, you're retarded. 2. Teacher's seem to have pineapples crammed deep in their anal cavities perpetually. Their reason for doing so is beyond me. Or maybe they just think you're talking to your friends. When my English teacher hears people laughing he says 'what the hell are you laughing about.' 3. Only redneckss say it, and it's cuz they make their dogs hunt. 4. No. you were never posessed in te first place. 5. This was thoroughly explained by Miyamoto. He wanted a phrase that related to 'stubborness'. He said that he found the terms 'stubborn as a donkey' and 'stubborn as a mule'. Because 'mule kong' is bull, he named it 'donkey kong.' 6. They gotta learn sometime. 7. Doesn't everyone wash their hands with soup, regardless of what language they use? Perhaps you need a study in anatomy?

After watching 2 episodes, I'd say the series is alright if a little boring. The secind episode was a lot more fun than the first which consisted of many long quiet moments. To star with the good, my favorite thing about this show is the character designs. Whle the animation isn't really anything special, the charcters look grat, namely Akari-chan who's hair = win. And then there was Ai-chan whi was so adorable I just wanted to draw her :animesmil What this show seems to do is take familiar anime concepts and put them on a new backdrop. The whole undine, neo-Venice ans stuff is what makes it unique, wile it has the classic slice-of-life anime ideas uder it. The only downside of this show is tat it's not particularly exciting, but if this is your kind of show, that isn't a problem anyways. Besides, it could be like Haibane Renmei where it starts out all slow but then gradually builds or something. I totally want a plusie of President Aria! (I cannot be alone in this!)

Kanon and Air both made me tear up significantly. Almost every episode of Air beyond episode 3 had some kind of moment that made me tear up. I can't remember the names of any characters, but hen the first girl's sister said how
there nevr was any magic and then we see her crying, that was a teary moment. When that one bratty girl who I didn't even ike died it almost made me cry as well. Then there was te death of Kanna. Overall, the biggest though was the entire last 2 episodes with Misuzu and her mom that made the series truly brutally sad.
As for Kanon, a list. I'll just keep it in tags.
1. When Makoto ate her pancakes. 2. When I thought the one girl with the green bow had died. There was blood and the anteater was destroyed and I was like NOOO!!! 3. When I had thought... um (damn names) sword girl had killed herself. 4. When she made the bunny zoo for her mom. 5. When I thought for sure Shiori had eaten pankakes. 6. When Ayu went crazy realizing there was no school. (mix of sadness and WTF) 7. When Akiko got hit by a car This one made me actually shed a tear: 8. When Nayuki was crying and yelling at Yuuichi to get out. 9. When Ayu fell out of the tree
There were robably a few more, but those were memorable.
