1. Here's a song I wrote in Geometry. All details are true. To get an idea of how this song would be sung, it's meant to be short and falls under the genre of Punk. I suppose it looks better on paper, but I'll try to make it look unique. Green Paper This song was written on green paper I used a pen with an eraser I was sitting in class Teacher being an ass This is way more fun than Geometry This song was written on green paper (woah-oh-oh-oh) The teacher said that it was trash A sheet of lime green paper! With something written on the ba-a-a-ack! Writing the second verse in pencil Don't know any words that rhyme with pencil Except maybe stencil Or even tensil That's spelled the same but pronounced differently This song was written on green paper (woah-oh-oh-oh) The teacher said that it was trash A sheet of lime green paper! With something written on the ba-a-a-ack! Slow part time! When I switch back to pen Will my lines rhyme again? Or take more than 2 minutes to write? My voice is getting bland Let's switch back to the band I think it's guitar solo time... *insert awesome solo here* This song was written on green paper (woah-oh-oh-oh) The teacher said that it was trash A sheet of lime green paper! 2. Well, I'm guessing this is the first page, so I guess it isn't too big of an issue, but I think a chief problem here is that you didn't cover much ground. We see that this dog dude is walking through the mall and he finds a game store, but that's it. There's no punchline or thought. I'm sure there will be some in later pages, but if this is anything other than a daily comic, your readers may get bored. Your art style is very cool. The backgrounds look good as well as the charachter, albeit slightly on the dark side. The revealing of the game store was a little confusing because at first it semed like it was decending from the sky XD but overall, I think you did well, just need a little improvement is all.
3. Well, if I had to choose a favorite mamodo it would be Kanchome. Kanchome is weak, stupid looking, and pathetic, and that makes him loveable XD. Parco Falgore is awesome because he's not only noble but stupid. I love 'Hey Hey Let's Dance All Day.' I assure you, I have danced all day while singing this before. If I were going to take a mamodo into battle, though, it would of course be either Brago or Zeno. They're just plain powerful. I don't really understand Brago's purpose, though, and why he didn't get rid of Zaatch early on. Zeno's just a straight-up badass, though. Zatch himself is awesome, too. I love when him and Kiyo are arguing and they get into some strange anime expressions.
4.
Wow, didn't expect this one. If anyone else has heard the Beserker, they know how insanely fast the drummers' blast beats are. It's a constant torrent of br00talness all over your face! You can't handle the Beserker. No one can handle the Beserker.
I've never heard of Berserker, but if anyone has heard of two-man black metal band Satyricon, there are some rediculous drums in there. One song, the title of which escapes me... it's the 9th track on Now, Diabolical, has the most insane drums I've ever heard. The snare is hit with such machine gun consistancy it's unbelievable, especially because the symbols and bass are being hit at the same time, and when it goes into the chorus there's this amazing drum-roll. Frost, the drummer, actually destroyed several drumsets with his playing during recording and it took them longer to create the CD. EDIT: The song title was Storm: The Destroyer
5. Im picky about anime. I like it if I like it and that's about it. Things I am swayed by are interesting plotlines, uniqueness, and characters who remind me of myself because I can relate. While I enjoy anime of any genre, I have always been a big fan of action scenes. Simply watching some people cut each other up gets boring though. A lot of action anime try to get in little gimmicks by making each enemy have their own unique abilities and such, but these often take too long to explain and a lot of the time, whether intentionally or not, they are rinsed and reused. I like it more when enemies take you by surprise with their powers and they aren't logicized. When it comes to action scenes, I enjoy sheer brutality and basically ****** up ways to die. Neon Genesis Evangelion is good for this because while the battles are short, they are insane. Also, the action has to have a purpose. I can't stand slasher-flick style things where people die for no reason, and I also find it annoying when the deaths are taken lightly unless it's a comedy show. (On the reversal, I can't stand watching the hero cry over a villans death who wasnt close). Sometimes intense violence can work well, though, depending on the way it is presented. Call me a hypocrite, but the Samurai X OVA was badass. I also like anime which connect to the real world. Shows like Eva, Boogiepop, Lain, and the like which make you think further about the real world. I enjoy these because rather than escaping from the real world with them I can plunge mysself deeper into it. I want to say that I like romance in anime, but I have yet to see a really good romance anime. Couples in anime are always cool, though.
6. Tool is my favorite band of all time and currently. Each of their CDs has a unique and equally amazing sound, and I love them all right down to the first EP. Unfortuanetally, I still haven't managed to get my hands on the DVD yet. Opiate - Opiate was Tool's first recording, an EP. It has a very raw, dark sound to it. The songs are all blatant attacks on the wrongs of society and are also short in comparison to future Tool songs. This CD keeps the deep, swamplike sound of their later works, but with a more thrashing attitude. Undertow - Undertow sounds a lot like Opiate, but much deeper. When I listen to this CD then by the sixth song I usually feel like I'm miles underground and buried in sludge. Their lyrics are highly satyrical regarding society, but all have a very deep, almost wounding nature. Like... "God damn. That's messed up." The last song, Disgustipated, features some of the coolest music I've ever heard used with crazy sounds like sheep and chickens. After 7 minutes it literally goes into 8 minutes of the sound of crickets chirping before a demented short story closing off the album. AEnima - This CD introduced me to Tool and is probably the most interesting CD I've ever heard. It opens with Stinkfist which almost slashes the swampiness of the previous album to shreds and gives a calm and almost depressed feeling. Several songs have the more swampy feel of Undertow such as Jimmy and Eulogy. The 9 minute song Pushit mixes the deepness with an almost comatose instrumental throughout the center of the work. H. and Forty Six & 2 have a more spiritual feel as if someone were questing their conscience for something. Then theres the two angry thrashier songs AEnima and Hooker With A Penis which both are more basic hard rock songs which are ripe with anger. After listening to the sound of wind and static for four minutes through (-)Ions you get to the trip-show that is Third Eye; a thirteen minute epic which goes through a plethora of tempo madness. Cutting in between songs are all sorts of strange musical interludes such as one German song which sounds like a dictator giving a speech but is actually a recipe for meatballs and a very angry man leaving a nasty message on someones machine. Lateralus - This is probably my favorite of all the Tool CDs. Interestingly, aside from the first song, The Grudge, the muddy-swamp sound is all but gone. The songs remain mildly creepy, but take on more of a total prog-rock sound. Firstly, the music is amazing and blows me away that a guitar, bass, and drum could be played so well. Besides the first 2 tracks, the lyrics for all the songs on this CD come from a more philosophical and existential standpoint. There aren't any breaks this time around - this CD is a one way trip into your mind. Lateralus is also one of my favorite songs of all time. 10,000 Days - Take everything you expect and throw it out the window. This CD is utterly amazing. The CD is mostly centered around two epics, each of which consists of a shorter opening song and an 11 minute second part. The first is 10,000 Days, which simultaneously critisizes empty-hearted Christians and acts as an ode to Maynard's dead mother. This song takes on the feel of a sad rainy day and leads into a great scene of anger over an amazing bass line. The second epic Rosetta Stoned, tells the story of a man wking up in a hospital after being abducted by aliens in Area 51. He was the chosen one, but he cant remember the message he was to give. RS has the same feel as Third Eye, where you feel as if you're on a journey through the music, but unlike much of the older trippy Tool songs, it features constant music instead of minor sounds. Aside from these two amazing epics, there are 4 6-8 minute songs all dealing more with social issues which are all increadible.
7. Birthdays. For me, a long and winding road. The most memorable thing about each of my birthdays is always the cake. My mom is the golden goddess of cake building (I say building because she is levels above anyone who claims to 'make' cakes). My mom makes enormous cakes and back when she was really into it she would make them multi-layered. For my 7th birthday I had a four-story Charizard the length of my kitchen table. Anyway, my first 9 birthdays were all the same, but awesome. We would invite all my friends (and neighboors) and my mom created all sorts of elaborate and fun games (Pin the Tail on Squirtle, Ring Toss with Kia-saurus) and it was general fun. My tenth birthday I was in cub-scout camp and my 11th birthday we were poor, so I just had a cake but no party. Was still grateful, though. My 12th b-day was the last normal one as I had some friends come with my to Ocean Breeze Fun Park. 13, 14, and 15 have been different though. I still get presents, eat cake and act like I rule the world, but no more parties.
8. 1. I Walked With A Zombie - Wednesday 13 2. Christian Woman - Type O Negative 3. Call of the Zombie - Rob Zombie 4. Otsego Undead - Static X 5. 9. Covers can be good and covers can be bad, it depends. When it comes to doing covers wrong, I give note to Marylin Manson. Now, mind you I am NOT speaking of Sweet Dreams. That was an amazing cover and even though he made it a single, it deserved it. Personal Jesus, though, sounded almost exactly like the origional and that is just tacky, because he actually released it as a single and it didn't really need to be that. To me, that's just exploitation. Another band who's done some covers is Disturbed who did Shout 2000 and Land of Confusion. Both are awesome remakes and very worthy of album release in my opinion. Land of Confusion was made into a single as well but it didn't have a video or anything. I don't see any problem with the way they do that. Another variation would be to release a cover and not release it on the album, which I personally find to be the best route because it doesn't take up album space and it isn't tacky. System of a Down's cover of Metro is quite possibly my favorite remake ever, but they didn't release it on any of their CDs (but you can catch it on the Dracula 2000 album). That's the method I think would be most proficient in releasing remakes.
10. Well, a little over a year ago I took a deep liking in the PS2 thanks to a little game known as Sly Cooper which got me back into video games. I didn't have much money at the time, so I decided to buy all the PS2 classics (Ratchet & Clank, Jak and Daxter, etc. At this time, all three of these games had recently released their second installment.) When I first played Jak and Daxter the Precursor Legacy, I didn't take much interest in it. My interest in Ratchet and Clank outweighed it and I barely gave Jak and Daxter a second glance. One day I had decided to play Jak and Daxter while listening to music (as the game doesn't have enough cutscenes to justify increasing the volume) and I was having quite a bit of fun. Within a couple days I'd made my way up to the point where I was in between Spider Cave and the Icy Mountain place, which I was intent on completing. That night my cousin visited and had brought a mixed CD of some rather cool techno and we listened to it in the dark while I played the mountain level. While I didn't end up completing that level, it is a very fond memory. A few months later I decided to play and I beat the ice level but had no desire to go to spider cave. My brother, having watched me play, took interest. And so for the next week or so I watched my little brother play through Jak and Daxter while I listened to the Gorillaz CD - Demon Days a few hundred times. It was good. He beat the game (not 100% though) and I traded it to him later. I never bought Jak 2 because I have heard that it is not only difficult, which I don't like, but has an open-ended GTA style, which I equally dislike. This thread is actually about the upcoming Jak & Daxter game, and not Jak & Daxter in general. If you wish to continue discussing the other Jak & Daxter games, then go ahead and make the appropriate threads. -- Bombu
11. I know that when many people hear the word 'gothic' the first things that come to their mind are teenagers wearing black, makeup, shopping at Hot Topic and listening to Marilyn Manson and Slipknot. The "Gothic" I wish to speak about is a genre of music. Like any genre, it has plenty of sub-genres like "Goth Rock" or even "Gothic Doom-Metal". Gothic music is usually very dark sounding and involves very dark subjects. The classic Goth band would have to be Bauhaus. The hight of their popularity may have been in the sixties or seventies, but these guys were still a very dark and demented band (something many people don't expect from older bands.) Bauhaus, or at least what I've heard, tended to have slow, creepy beats and bass lines which repeated throughout their songs and really felt sort of maddening. Their lyrics were sometimes downright disturbing with lines like "I hold the pink baby in my hand, I slice off the rosy cheeks because I'm so thirsty." A few of their songs were slightly more upbeat, and they even did a great rendition of Ziggy Stardust. Sometimes they even took things from episodes of creep shoes such as 'The Twilight Zone' as the inspiration of their lyrics. Another great gothic band or Gothic Doom-Metal band as Wikipedia calls them is Type O Negative. These guys are increadibly strange, as their lyrical subjects range immensely. A good half of their songs are about emotional subjects such as lost love, suicide, and such other dark parts of the mind. The other half of their songs take heavy comedic roots. Songs such as Kill All The White People or I Like Goils are more along the lines of outrageous humor while others like Black No. 1 or Christian Woman tell a strangely funny story. Type O focuses solely on whatever the hell they want, and aren't swayed by what's cool. Their songs range anywhere from 2 to twelve minutes; from dragging riffs to upbeat electronica and everywhere in between while still sounding like Type O Negative. The only other gothic band that I have heard (Im rather new to the genre) is a band known as Wednesday 13 who apparently used to be with Wayne Static in another band or something of the sort. Wednesday 13 sound a lot like Rob Zombie, except rather than using a more industrial backdrop, they have a fairly raw rock sound. Some of their songs sound very dark while others are fun and light. All of their songs come from movies or TV shows turned demented (Transylvania 90210) So, what are your favorite goth bands?
12. Whilst attending a drivers education class this afternoon, it was brought to my attention that road signs come in two different kinds of yellow. There's the orange-looking ones, which are apparently actually yellow, and then there's Flourescent Optic Yellow. Where I live, 'yellow' signs are a symbol of warning that the road will change in some way ahead. Flourescent Optic Yellow is used for pedestrian crossings and school zones. The signs which adorn my avatar and signature come from Sweden, I believe.
13. Unfortuanetally I lack a reliable mode of transport required to travel to and from work everyday, so I cannot get a job. Plus, I'm only fifteen, so my options are rather limited. As for aquiring money, I do so in the only manner in which I know how. Chores. My younger brother and I do chores and at least try to keep the house clean for $25 dollars a week. In the past, we have usually been able to do a fairly half-assed job and get paid anyway out of my dad's unfathomable kindness, but he has consistantly raised his standards, as have we in attempting to impress him.
14. I wish I knew how these songs were meant to sound, but either way, I find this play interesting and quite funny. I think I may be a cause for Schadenfreude XD
Katana Fuck you newbie, that's what the Inn is for! Boo Ooo, how about asskissers getting warnings? Katana "Married" couples breaking up? Boo Telling vets that they are wrong? Katana Watching people being banned! Boo Anti-mods becoming moderators! Katana Administrators being hated! Boo Watching debaters never reach - Boo and Katana - the ending of their religious speech! Schadenfreude! Schadenfreude! Schadenfreude! Schadenfreude!
- Jawesome. It seems kinda weird, though, that the characters would switch roles in other scenes.
15. As long as people are scared and refuse to be wring, there will be censorship. When the sticks have been removed from society's ***, aaybe we'll be free. If our generation doesn't get rid of censorship, thatd be one hell of a laugh.
16. #5 is my good friend Ziggy Cygnus 6 or red 6 as he is currently known
17. I have come to detest a lot of anime I used to love, namely cuz my standards are overly high. I hate cliches, I hate shallowness, I hate boring ****... that clears a lot. Basically, I like anything that's genuinely good. Something different and cool. NGE is my top spot not only cuz I love the story (and I realize its been done before), but because it has many interesting elements and quirks which set it apart from everything else. FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Paranoia Agent... anything good.
18.
BTW, how was he able to build up his weapon stash (if that could be called a)?[/size']
Ever seen Bowling For Columbine? There are a million blames to be placed here, and a million things to say about how messed up this was... a million responses and a million sugestions. Overall, what can we do?

20. As for solutions, I agree with the parents idea, but really it depends how close you are. Really.. we should prolly not make any more suggestions till the poster gives us more info ^^;;
21. It really depends. With many manga, I prefer the manga because of the art. Many artists have their own styles which get either altered or destroyed by their anime counterparts. Also, manga has no filler. I HATE filler. The biggest reason I have for preferring manga is because of speed. Personally, I can't take watching the Naruto anime. There will also be a small amount of action followed by a ten-minute explaination of something causing 45 minutes of reading to become 2 and a half to 3 hours of watching. I DO love to see the battle scenes in many of these transitions. Much as I love the battles in the Naruto manga, they are presented much better in the anime. For this reason, I buy the manga then watch the fight on CN :p I don't always prefer manga though. Anime that begin as anime are always better than their manga counterparts. Cowboy Bebop without the music = boring. Neon Genesis without the *** ******* **** **** **** ** ** ** ****** = boring. And don't even get me started on the FLCL manga... In the end I'd call it a tie. Manga that begin as manga are better that way and vice versa.
22.
It's every other teenage girl, not every other teenage white girl.
Well, I am really only speaking of Spencers as I have not been witness/heard much about stealing from other places. 95% of the people who steal from Spencers are teenage suburban white girls. EDIT: ah! I finally managed to remember a stealing experience. Back when we were littler, my bro and I were avid Pokemon card collectors. On this day all the kids in our cul-de-sac were at our house to play in the pool. There was this new kid in the neighboorhood who lived just outside the neighboorhood who we'd all just met. He was there too. On that day, all of our Fire cards were scattered on the dining room table. At some point, the kid had gone home to 'get something to drink'. Not long after he got back, my bro and I were looking through the cards to show him my bro's Charizard (any Pokemon collector knows Charizard was the **** back in the day). Of course, we can't find the Charizard anywhere even after looking through our binders. Later, everyone had left the house and we still hadnt found it. Hours later the kids dad comes bearing the Charizard. Apparently the kid told his dad he 'traded a Nidoking for it' and his dad didn't think it sounded right. I dont think any of us ever saw the kid again.
23. I thought 'why do another with the same crap I always end up with'? then thought 'ah! my last 15 Pandora songs'! This list will not include any which come on while Im typing. 24. I feel sorry for all the terribly named sites, especially Mole Station XD My vote goes to every ytmnd ever created. I enjoy some of them, but they honsetly dont need to exist.
25.
Alright. Listen [or rather, read] very closely. Stealing, even impulsive stealing, is still wrong. It's still stealing. The person can physically stop themselves from doing it. There is NO DISORDER that can force you to steal something. Aside from alien mind control. But I doubt that's the issue. If I spend every paycheck at the mall, it does not mean I have a shopping disorder. If I eat everything in sight, that does not equal an eating disorder. You can ALWAYS stop. You can ALWAYS choose to have self-control. So I have ABSOLUTELY no pity for people with 'kleptomania'. That's just an excuse those dumbf***s thought up to justify stealing.
Halelujah! I totally agree! My mom has been the manager of Spencer's gifts at 2 different malls for over a year, and the amount of things which get stolen is rediculous. Stealing disorder? No. People just straight-up want to steal things! I guarantee you every other suburban teenage white girl has stolen from somone or someplace on purpose without regret. If I knew someone was a theif, I would not get along with them. Usually the type of person who steals dont get along with me anyway, but I just hate that they do it. For the most part, they just do it because they can, and to be frank, its STUPID.
