1. Thankyou, yes im limited on the pastels, im in the process of buying a ship load of new resources, watercolour pens, a larger selection of pastels ect....Have you used watercolour pens before? If so are they worth it? Here is a new picture of a bad *** werewolf i did the other day, i rarely use pencils, so i thought it was about time to do a sketch, what do you think? xx Edit: Here is a picture of Dante from the DMC series i devised, it was drawn in pen and coloured in pencil crayon x I used this as my ID on deviantart: Comments welcome. xx Please don't double post. If you have something to add to your original post, please use the edit button. Thanks. - Retribution --- So i learnt how to use photoshop and have been working hard on 2 pictures. The first: I drew the outline in pen, then uploaded into photoshop where it was painstakinly painted, took around 8 hours. I used the character Dante from the DevilMayCry saga as inspiration. The second: Here i took my wolf picture (which can be viewed above) and enhanced it using photoshop, this was my first ever photoshop piece. enjoy and comments welcome. xx
2. Thankyou for the compliments! The maid girl you commented on was my first ever attempt at anime, so the proportions are a bit off, i really think drawing the proportions correctly is the hardest part when designing anime. Here is one of my later pictures, again i think i did a good job on the eyes and hair, i wasn't too struck on the proportions though: xx
3. Ryuhei Kitamura is a Japanese director and is famed for his films housing extensive storylines, sword fighting, martial arts, and action sequences,. He is my all time favourite director and his style i feel is very original and fulfilling. He has directed a number of movies, including adaptions of the manga Azumi, and the popular Japanese TV drama Sky High, both of which were successful films. Kitamura's rise to international fame came from Versus, which if you have not yet seen, i reccommend you watching in the near future, a real mind blower of a film! What it lacks in plot and budget, it more than makes up with ultimate style and superb action, you can check the details here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versus_%28film%29 Kitamura's future plans holds a sequel to Versus, and preparation for Hollywood, which to be honest i think will ruin him, he ought to keep his flair and carry on creating low-budget films that blow away Hollywoods poor excuses for films. If anyone else is familiar with Kitamura, what are your thoughts and feeling towards his films? xx
4. Thanks for the pointer...and yes the change that he makes is one of the big mysteries of the game, and it really helps the story to flow are make the player wonder wether it is him, or just a random guy. It seems that Enchanted Arms has the knack to keep the player wanting more and more, not so much because of the action involved throughout the game, but because of the story and the fantasy involved, fans of final fantasy 8 can relate to the game, as Enchanted Arms starts out in the same sort of situation, students in a university on the brink of a war, i must admit, one of the reasons i bought the game was because i heard it had hints of FF8 throughout. Moreover there are around 100 golems to collect on your journey, which i thought was quite a handful, i found that as soon as i aquired a new golem, it was used for a handful of battles, until i aquired new ones, this resulted in a huge batch of my golems stored in a shop, low level, never to be used again, it seemed a waste, but then again i suppose they are only there as a supporting act, its the main characters that matter, and thats what really drives the game. xx
5. The first Japanese role player on the 360, i bought, i played, and concluded that it was a worth while game to play, has anybody played this? It boasts superb visuals, and a gripping storyline, the fighting can get a bit tedious at times, but then again they are random encounters, what are your thoughts on this and Lost Odyssey (the second to be Japanese RPG for the 360)? xx
6. Im a guy, and yes they really would, the only problem is, they are drawn on A3 paper and my scanner is A4, major bummer, so i resort to my digi cam, anyways here are some more of my latest pics. xx drawn in pastels, took me ages, as pastels are hard to work with and around Ive been experimenting with pastels more and more close up!
7. So it seems that the only thing that can make me unnerved nowadays are Japanese horrors. I bought Dark Water a while back now and watched it in the dead of night, big mistake! It made me jumpy for days after, such a chilling film. Basing the rest of the genre on that one film, made me go out and purchase The Grudge and Audition, two very good films, Audition less unnerving than the two, but alot more brutal and clever. Im thinking of purchasing The Eye and Ringu in the near future, has anybody seen these? And does anyone have any reccomendations, what are your thoughts? xx
8. "The mad capsule markets" are the bomb, "Polysics" are also one of my favourites, Nobuo Uematsu is also a God. xx
9. Hey guys im new here, and would love you to comment on my artwork, i basically draw anime, manga, or just plain wierd cartoons whenever i get a rush of imagination, check em out and feel free to criticize or praise my work. later xx This picture was drawn in pen, and then coloured in pencil crayon, feel free to comment on the breasts I drew this beauty in pen, coloured her in watercolour and then highlighted in pastels to emphasise where the light was hitting her body, i think the overall effect came out well This creation took around 5 hours, i drew in pen and coloured in watercolour, one of my personal faves Basically this was my first ever attempt at anime, it was drawn about 2 years ago and took me around 5-6 hours I'll post more up laters on xx
