1.
ooooo it is soo pretty!!!!!!!!! you did an excellent job^________^
Welcome to OtakuBoards, hyper! We ask that in the art forum, you always include constructive criticism in your posts. This means responding to particular parts of the art piece, saying what you like or dislike about it to help provide the artist with a little feedback. To get a better idea, look at other posts by members, and read the sticky at the top of the art forum.
2. I just thought I'd mention this, and I don't know if it's just me, but none of the links seem to work. I'd love to see your work, though. ^_~
3. Alright, how about we all move off the size/affiliate/website issue and concentrate back on the image itself as an art piece. Thanks! ~_^
4. Here's what you can do for now: Since you're able to scan them and get them onto the computer, I assume that they're saved in some way or another. Since you don't have a program to reduce the size yourself, start a new thread in Art by Request, attach the image or images, and ask someone to change it to a particular size. If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me. ;)
5.
Um... i can't spell all that well so bear with me, and this is my first time to ever even use a board. I'd have to say your pictures are pretty darn good and i wish i could make art like that.
Welcome to OtakuBoards! Here at OB, we value quality in all of our posts. In the art forum in particular, we've created an environment where everyone is able to share their opinions of another members' artwork, in a detailed manor as you see in the posts above. By responding to specific aspects of an art piece, the artist is able to take what he or she learned and apply it in the future, hence benefiting with the help of others. If you have any further questions of how we would like you to post, I encourage you to read this thread: READ ME.
6.
*is mesmorized*....Huh? Wha..? Oh! Yes, it's Vury Purdy! =3 Hm, you said something about rating....Now how is that done...*wonders about page*

Mew? :animeswea Dun worry about me, I'm new, so I was more or less Looking about the page, rather than being curious as in wondering[/u'].. :animeswea
Welcome to OtakuBoards! We in the Art forum ask that your posts be a tad more descriptive, and include constructive criticism, in commenting on the artwork itself. And for future reference: READ ME.
7.
Wait for me! i'll try again!
Please try to avoid posting when you have nothing to show for it, especially so soon after the thread was first made. The creator has patience, just wait until you have the banner made before doing so. ^_^
8.
Add a bg, it looks too empty.
READ ME. Please try to add as much critique for the picture as possible so he or she can improve. In this case, even though Synical only asked about the background, comment on the existing picture as well to provide the best feedback you can. ~_^
9. We already have an Art by Request forum that fulfills this purpose just fine. There are plenty of people in there that would greatly appreciate your help, though. ^_^
10. Not the mention the fact that this thread is quickly filling up with spam and useless critique, Ozymandius Jones has informed me of what I suspected from the start. I don't suppose this is your website, is it? http://www.suta-raito.com/images/Pikachu.gif http://www.suta-raito.com/images/Charmander2.gif Let me make this perfectly clear: all work that is shown in this forum is assumed to have been created by the one who posts it unless otherwise stated. And normally, there would be no reason to post another's artwork on the site to begin with, due to the fact that any comments or critique would not be going directly to the artist and therefore could not help the artist to improve his or her work. Now that you know, try to take responsibility for further artwork in the future and you'll be out of here. ;) Topic closed.
11. Wow, did you draw this yourself? And if so, what did you use (such as programs)? I'd love to know more about them, so we can give proper critique. ~_^
12. Hey Andrew (ha, I remember too!), it's certainly been a while since I've seen you roaming the old OB streets. I joined back in June of '01, so I guess we're just about coming up on four years, eh? You joined a little before me, though, I remember, so you might have already passed that mark. haha It's amazing, but lately, among offline things, perhaps, and spending time on here just cleaning up spam, I don't usually have the chance to specifically comment on artwork. But for an old friend, how could I refuse? The avatar is cool; simple and to the point. Using the periods is a nice way of spacing out the letters while adding in a bit of color as well, and it's good to see that those colors are represented from the picture itself. The placement of the name and characters is good as well, but what does it mean? The only thing that I find particularly worth noting to improve is by making the background a little more interesting. As for the content of the avatar, we need to talk about Samurai Champloo one of these days. :p
13. Yes, downloading simply means that someone has had the picture loaded onto their browser. This could either mean that they clicked the attachment or opened a page with the picture already hotlinked (whether in a post or signature), so there's no reason to become alarmed that people might be stealing it. ^_^ Hope that helped.
14. I was hesitant about this thread and was ready to close it, seeing that this was someone else's work and was basically pointless to critique, but now that I see it's more of a tutorial, this is a great way to show the extent of expertise you can take a normal photo editing program. Of course, something like this masterpiece (and yes I do call it a masterpiece, though I may use the term lighter than others, simply because it looked like a picture with common effects when I first saw it), clearly takes great practice and skill with a mouse, a program, and recognizing features of a human body. Hats off to the person who made it.
15. Letters so small? On banners? Well, it's for artistic effect, I imagine. Of course, they don't normally intend for the letters to be too small to read (which isn't time consuming to do, but I assume you mean reading it), so it could possibly be your resolution that's too large, making everything look really tiny. As for people with AOL, I really don't see a point in discussing it. lol Hope I've helped.
16. How do I make a banner? Try the link above; hope that helps. ;)
17. Even if no one has replied, you still may not double post. The edit button is there if you forget something, but otherwise you just have to wait for responses.
18. On Otakuboard, we don't normally permit a thread to simply say "hi" and such, because that generates no discussion and is spam right off the bat. However, if you want to discuss your manga, you can do so in Manga Workshop. Just be sure you stick to that in order for it to be a liable topic. ~_^
19.
I am but i need help on ideas for clothes
Not only is this comment very general and broad, but this topic is nearly 2 years old. Please leave these threads in their graves! Topic closed.
20. Following the intent of this thread, it would be closed because you uploading your banner generates no discussion whatsoever. However, as long as we keep it open for others to comment and critique, then everything is alright. ;)
21.
Some great stuff you got here! Well done! Inspiring titles too :D
I've been looking at some of your responses in the forum, and I think you need to really expand your critiques a bit, especially this one. You need to keep the sticky at the top of the forum in mind as you write your comments, making sure that it's in depth enough for the artist to be able to take something back from it. Otherwise, the post is spam and will be deleted.
22. All requests may be made in Art by Request. ;) Topic moved.
23.
That is Rei Ayanami it dont matter what it looks like if it's her cause she is my favorate anime character of all time. I LOVE IT
READ ME. Please try to stick to the topic at hand here, rather than talking about a random character in the image. That doesn't help the artist much, if at all. Thanks.
24.
I love this!!!
This is not constructive criticism; it's spam. Please read the sticky at the top of the forum very closely before responding to another art piece.
25.
I saw this movie about two years ago and was unimpressed for the most part. everyone who recommended it to me said that it's like Resevoir Dogs or Sntach & Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. But it really falls short in comparrison to films like those. Although it did have some funny moments, the action was fairly uninspired and the ending was pretty stupid. also seeing Willam Defoe crossdress made me want to throw up. but getting back on the subject, i would have to agree that it is more of an underground cult film. it never really had much mainstream success.
Eh, I think I would put my list as.. Boondock Saints Lock, Stock Snatch ..and Resevoir Dogs really doesn't even compare, for me. Lock, Stock was good, it was awesome, in fact, but I felt it just didn't hit me quite as hard as Boondock Saints did. Of course, it's all subjective, so some may like it and some might not. I thought that the action was just really good, and for lack of a better word, cool. The ending was great because it was the first time that the brothers were coming out and showing themselves to the public, telling everyone to watch their backs, and leaving it open for a sequal.
