[color=#30415d]This piece is very good. I've always admired the work that you've graced these forums with (heh), and this is no different. Great drawings, great use of colors and space, great onomonopias; it's all very professionally done. The only thing that I can see to critique is that there isn't very much dialogue in the panels. You do a great job of portraying the action, but lack deep story credability when few of your pages actually have people talking. It becomes very hard to develope characters and keep the story rolling that way. On that note, I think I'll move this to Manga Workshop, because as it suggests in the forum description, you are looking to get feedback on your own manga creation. :)[/color]

[color=#30415d]I find that I often associate my music to different things that I happen to be doing at the time while listening to my CD player. For example, I have to admit that listening to Alien Ant Farm now reminds me of Mei, due to the fact that I was listening to it all week during a trip to the beach while thinking of her the whole time.

[color=#30415d]Just a quick note to your newest avatars, Boo. Be sure that you know the character's name and category name before submitting the avatar. If you don't know it, there's always Google. ~_^ If you want a category to go up, keep in mind that you have to submit at least six. Otherwise, like the Blood avatar, we'll just have to overlook it. Other than that, just make sure that there is very little to no pixelation.[/color]

If you were talking about HTML, then what you basically need to do is put the image inside the URL code. If you want to make new categories, that's great, or if you want to add on to our existing collection, that's fine too. As for why some of the avatars have yet to be uploaded, it could be because it conflicts with the rules in the opening post, but otherwise, yes, James has been very busy lately.[/color]

You have to start somewhere. ~_^ The more you copy from different pictures, the better you'll get at recognizing the placing of different things, and how they work, so as to create an original piece that's more exact. Great artists do this for a living; they'll go out and draw something exactly as they see it. Somebody may not have drawn the exact same thing before them, but they are still drawing something as they see it, rather than out of their own head. And no, tracing is completely different from copying. Tracing takes absolutely no skill whatsoever, while copying another picture takes patience and an eye for detail, among other things.[/color]

This banner that I made dates back about 2 and a half years ago when I was making a DBZ site called Gohan's Chamber (big surprise). I don't think I did [i]too[/i] bad for a first try, but definitely have gotten better. I can't believe I found the same pictures, lol. And yes, they were originally bad quality. They aren't really intended to have any deeper explanations other than the fact that they were created by the artist to portray their skills. The intention of the Art Studio forum is for members to comment on art of other members, and describe what they like or don't like about it so that the artist can get better.
