Haha, we have this one guy that goes to my school.. he's white and has this mad blonde afro. O_o He also wears tye-dye shirts, and smokes pot, so he's seen as sort of a hippie. During the first week or so, I saw him around the hallway and could just tell that he was going to be an outcast. Half way through the year, he now sits at my lunch table, is really good friends with one of my friends, and is the center of attention, lol. He's always yelling the craziest things, and eating any food that happens to drop on the table. The guy's pretty disgusting, but I guess he's kind of cool, too. Preps hate him, druggies love him, and everyone else is indifferent. Another crazy kid that I know is the sort of.. outcast crazy. He sits next to me in Art class, and he basically spends the class period making himself look like a jackass, haha. He never does any work, and randomly says stuff like, "God, smite me now", "The one ring.. [i]the rule them all[/i]!", and "I'd sell my soul for a doughtnut". None of it is funny, except how stupid he makes himself look, and he's horrible when it comes to standing up to peer pressure. One time we got him to make really loud animal noises during class.. oh yeah, great times. *wipes tear from eye*

Please use a file extension other than .BMP to upload your files. It's not only annoying to have to open, but its something of an un-written rule on the forums.

[color=teal]Well, here we go. I had a feeling that one time or another I'd put all of my banners in one thread. While I'm still unsure of whether or not I'm going to be putting new banners in here as I make them (I think that this may cause banners to get lost among pages and become difficult to comment on), I've decided to try to put [i]most[/i] of my banners that I've made in this thread. A lot of my older banners really aren't very good, I've lost files and such, and I think you'll agree that I have enough now as it is without putting up [i]every single banner[/i]. Overall, I just want to show you my first banner, so you can see where I started, and then show my decent ones. They're not all the best, but they're not as bad as my earlier ones, so they're.. decent. The reason I post these even though I'm sure many of the older members may remember them from months and even years past is because the boards have gone through a significant change, both visually and member-wise, and on the eve of v7 I want to present members with a chance to view and critique these banners. Every single comment will be greatly appreciated; you'll notice that while I have improved over the years, if you help me understand what I could do even better that started as a habit in these earlier banners, I will finally be able to rise above these faults. Don't feel obligated to reply to every single banner. There are a lot here, and I understand, so I've numbered them for your convenience. If you want to reply to each of them, or simply one banner, all is appreciated. Different banner types that can be found include black and white, abstract, comical, serious, picture with border, animation, picture editing, and a slew of different kinds of effects. In my own experience, a few months after I became moderator I told James of an old account that I no longer used, and he went ahead and simply deleted it. So whenever you go back and see a post from "Solid Snake", it will say "Guest" as the user title. An account may be deleted if a user has multiple accounts, or hasn't been to OtakuBoards in years, and I believe it may open up the possibility for others to now register under that name.[/color]

It's the basis of originality and greatest thing that can be found in all of your banners, and it never gets old. Not even when you use the same border, heh. As said [a million times], the softness on the eyes is probably the best part of this artwork. The only thing that I can find that needs improvement is the avatar, whereas the star is slightly pixelish. It may be from resizing or quality of the picture, but whatever the reason, it's nothing that can't be fixed with a little airbrushing. And as you know, my screen portrays images very lightly, so your post and sig are now hard to see without highlighting, but I don't mind.[/color]

[color=teal]I like where you're going with this manga. You're deffinitly hitting on the adult life-work-dating theme well, story-wise. Seems very professional. The only problems I can see so far are from the visual aspect. The people and objects are drawn very nicely, but as stated before, the screen tones have been making the shading way too doty. :/ The speach bubbles are also kind of wacky, mainly in the second page, and the font is pretty blury and annoying on the eyes, though that could be because you say you are resizing it. One last thing that I need clarifying on -- this Tokyopop manga contest.. they let you go left to right? I was just wondering if they may have required "authentic" style, or something.[/color]
