1. It's not that cold; nothing below 15 degree F, but it is still pretty cold for Southern Maryland. And I suppose it's cold enough to snow (duh) and snow indeed - we've had a total of about 3 weeks of no school or something. This is the second day in a row of another school-free day, and it's snowing pretty hard again, so I don't expect we'll have school tommarrow either.
  2. Yeah, my mom told me this morning. I remember when I used to watch him soooooooooooo long ago...then I went to elementary school. It's very sad, and lots of kids will miss him, even though all of his shows are repeats I hear. In honor of him, I made Charles get his Mr. Rogers avatar back. :)
  3.
Originally posted by Jinzouningen17 Oh, and so you know, remember that thread I posted about the DVD's comin out on April 15th, and it stated that it was beginnin wit the "Baby Saga"? Well, its actually gonna be beginnin at the very beginning of DBGT, but they're gonna call the first 30 or so eps "The Baby Saga" since if I'm not mistaken, there was controversy over the "Black Star Dragonballs Saga" name. I think they said it was already bein used, or they couldnt get the rights to it or somethin. *shrugs* I'll let ya know whenever I find out about it.
Ha, I knew that would happen. They always try and make the sagas really broad in episodes, and it was hard to imagine them skipping so many episodes in a series that's only 64 episodes long. Not to mention it would be hard to follow. In addition, I feel really stupid saying this, but sometimes I have dreams that kinda tell the future. Oh boy, like it was supposed to snow, and I drempt it wasn't going to snow, and it wasn't when I woke up (luckily allowing me to get a GC :toothy: ). One time I drempt it was going to snow when it wasn't supposed to, and it did (luckily allowing me to stay home from school :toothy: ). Stuff like that, and anywho, I think I had a dream once when it was kind of like it was saying that it would show the beginning of DBGT, but the dream was really confusing. o_O So...yeah... And I really do not like the rap either. They could have made a much better effort on that. -__- Otherwise, I'll finally be able to see DBGT, even though I know much about it. :)

    Banner

Nice, dude. I really like the colors. ^_^ It is indeed very original. The things you can do better: Well, first off, the diagonal line on the right would look better with an outline, like what you have on the top of the teal cover. I love how you did the text, but I think you could have made the burned spot a little better. Maybe do it dark all the way around, or just make it look 3 dimensional. Other than that I like it a lot. :)
  5.
Originally posted by Medra Hell, I beat that one on the first try. In any case, I think, and this is as far as I've gotten in three days, that when you have to beat Hilary in the street race is the worst yet. Sentinel against a Banshee? *shudders*
The exact opposite for me. The one where Lance is held captive was so hard for me, I had to let my brother beat it, and it took him a while as well. It was the hardest one in the game, in my opinion, to where no other mission comes close. Especially this one. Before I heard it, I heard from friends that the mission was really hard, and they just couldn't beat it, but it only took me one or two tries. A lot of luck was in that, though, since I would hit him 180 degrees around at the first turn or something, and I just went as fast as I could for the rest of the race.
  6. My guess is that GameCube online is good ways off, or it may not come at all. Sure, they have things that allow you to go online, and maybe 1 or two games that can, but I mean the Nintendo movement into online games and stuff. What I see hapening is Nintendo sticking with offline games with great gameplay, not with online games with interaction where anything can happen. I don't see any online Nintendo games, and with not as much 3rd party content really leaning on the GC, it's unlikely that we'll see this online movement for them any time soon.

    Ssb 3?

I'm thinking that there might be some Pikmin in the next Super Smash Bros, perhaps something like the Ice Climbers where there are more than one in a match. Sonic and Tails could be in the next one, although Nintendo would have to get permission from SEGA. On second thought, it's not too likely, even if they are the most wanted pair, since the idea of making Smash Bros in the first place was to have long-time Nintendo characters fight each other. It hard to say what they could do to make Super Smash Bros even better and have people come back for more. They really outdid themselves with Melee.
  8. This is kind of late in the thread, but I just want to share my take on Four Swords. ^_^ I think that Four Swords did an excellent job of making Zelda a multiplayer game. There were really many things that could have gone wrong, but they managed to make a really good game. :) I like the idea that you are working with your partner(s) to complete objectives, but at the same time are working against them to collect more rubies. It's not too hard, but it's hard enough to make it long and really gets you into the game with 2 playable areas, and then a boss, and then about 7 or so levels; I forget. I was really lucky, because when I bought it, almsot all my friends had the game, and they all had link cables. Because of this, I've never felt the need to buy a seperate link cable, lol. So, I try to play 4 player at lunch, although that has only happened twice, and 2 player on the bus home. It's cool because although I play it so often, it doesn't get boring and has a lot of replay value, because the objectives change every time, and I still havn't beat them all yet. Plus, there's always the possibility of going back and trying to get the golden keys.
  9.
Originally posted by Forest_Pixie Yesterday we had club pics for yearbook and Charlie, the chick in the office doing announcments, called Anime Club to go to the gym for pics.. but she didnt say anime... she said something along the lines of anneemee.... it was the funniest thing ever!! and everyone inthe club was asking people to join the anneemee club...
We had school group pics for the yearbook yesterday as well. Aparently, our anime club isn't official, because they never called us. Of course, I got a lot of **** last year when my pic ended up in the yearbook under the anime club, but I'm not going to take it even if it does happen to show up.
  10. I think that the banner was made very well indeed - one of my favorite of yours. I was actually admiring it in previous threads. I love the whole color to it, and the motion blur effect. It really adds something great. The stealth words are awsome, and I'd like to know how you streamed the colors in the bottom one. The only problem that I have with it is the ".:Acceleration:." Maybe it's not put in the best place, or maybe it's the font, but it just doesn't go well with the pic in my opinion. But other than that, great job! :)
  11.
Originally posted by Desbreko Yes, reserve The Wind Waker and get the pre-order bonus disc! Ocarina of Time is one of the best Zelda games so far, and Master Quest if even better, especially if you've played the original OOT before. That way, you're expecting it to be one way, but then it's different, and it really makes you think about new ways to do things in the dungeons. Heck, I've been thinking about going back and playing the original OOT on the disc, after I finish OOT Master Quest, just because of how different Master Quest is in the dungeons and because I haven't played the original very much in a long time. If you play through both games, you're going to get a lot of time out of the disc... And then you get The Wind Waker, too! It's like getting three games for the price of one! *bounces off the walls and explodes from the exitement* *cough* Um, yes, well... Have you tried Best Buy, while looking for SSBM? They seem like they usually have a pretty good selection of GCN games. That, and GameStop/Software Etc. Melee really is a great game, especially if you have friends to play multi-player with. Personally, though, I'd reserve The Wind Waker and get the bonus disc. Oh, and something you might consider... When you reserve a game, you can usually wait a couple months after it's been released, before the reservation expires. You might just put down the deposit to reserve The Wind Waker (it's only $5 at most GameStop stores), so you can get the bonus disc, and then buy SSBM, also. Then just don't pick up The Wind Waker until you have the money. And, even if the reservation does expire, you'd only end up paying about $5 for the bonus disc anyway.
Thanks for the advice. ^_^ I'm planning to pick up the reservation tonight, along with my friend's since he gave me 15 dollars today. I havn't asked any stores though, so I'm not sure which ones would be sold out. As for Melee, I have learned that they have aparently taken Melee off the shelves so that when they put it back, it will be down to $30 after a price drop. So, taking this into account along with the fact that my neighbor owns Melee, I've decided to fully go for the pre-order. Time only encourages this decision. EDIT: Unfortunately, last night no store in my area had the pre-order CDs. This morning, however, they cancelled schools because of snow, and after I shoveled my drive way, I found some on my first call. At Walmart, they had 5, so I told them to hold two, and I recently went up there to get them. During the wait, however, my friend wanted me to get another copy for our friend, but when I got there, it was just my games that remained. Good thing they didn't have another, though, since I just learned that my friend who I was going to buy another for got one today. Phew, so anyway, I now have the disk and the pre-order, and it was only a $10 downpayment. :) Me = happy.
  12. I'm sure you already knew this, but vBulletin has aparently released a version 2.3. I'm not sure exactly what you were waiting for, perhaps a v3, but I'm just saying that this should be an advance on this 2.2.7, although to what degree, there's no telling.
  13.
Originally posted by Desbreko I can't wait for the Zelda one, though. I'll definitely be using it, when it's ready!
A Zelda one?!! Woah, the possibilities...when are we going to see that?
  14. My friend's school recently got an anime club, but he told me that when he went there, no one had even heard of Evangelion. So, naturally he stopped going. I'm guessing that these people were only accustomed to Dragonball Z and Gundam or something. Luckily, my school has had an anime club the whole time I've been there. I barely ever need to bring anime, and most people have heard of rare animes, so I really enjoy it. I have made tons of friends, and we have pizza every time we go there ($1 a slice). The anime is usually good, but if it's really bad, I can take out my Cowboy Bebop or Trigun DVDs. Unfortunately, I do get lots of people who want to borrow my DVDs. -__- As for whether they should be allowed in schools, I don't see why not. It's just another extra-curicular activity, like if the school organizes a club for people playing card games. The only reason that a school shouldn't have an anime club depends on the people who run them/ participate in them. If these people are constantly loud, have a bad reputation, and leave a mess everywhere they go, then they shouldn't be allowed to have the club. My club aparently has a slightly bad reputation, so it's kind of hard to find a teacher sponsor, but it's really not as bad as everyone thinks, and once we get a teacher it's not a problem.
  15.
Originally posted by Alexus Bing Well, I think MGS:Substance is going to be X Box exclusive for a while.
Lol, here in America it's coming to PS2 next month. I have the original game, but this is supposed to be so cool, I'm ganna get it! And that's the thing; previous XBox exclusives are going 3rd party now to other systems as well. Splinter Cell is a good example - and it even has extra levels I hear! I don't like the 'Box because they don't offer that many amazing titles exclusive to that system. That alone led me to buy the GC.
  16.
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel There are so many fanboys online it's scary. Go somewhere like www.gamefaqs.com and check their forums. People take this stuff worse than you insulting their mother or their god lol.
That and I don't want people getting the idea that I hate all consoles or something. I don't know how I could live without my PS2 and GC. v.v
  17. Currently I'm using Liquid. It's a good change, and it has a sleek design. Otherwise, I'd use v6 because of the super awsome banner!!!
  18.
Originally posted by The Merchant actually, the mech battle with the first angel happened on the second episode, when the Eva001 first go bersek. in the first ep you just see the begining of the figth and then you get back to to shinji in the hospital. You don t get to see the actuall figth till youre very into episode 2.
Right, that's what I mean. They didn't even get into the beginning of the fight.
  19. While I'm glad that Cartoon Network brought this to unknowing anime fans, they did not keep it too much the same. There was some alternate music that sounded kind of weird, and they never finished the first episode. I didn't watch the second one on Toonami, but I imagine they had a mech battle between Evas. Yeah, that was supposed to be in Episode 1. Otherwise, the series is really good. This was obviously just a taste, and I recommend that you get the series. Of course, it is a bit expensive right now, so I'd wait for the price to go down. The cheapest I got it for was around $95. v_v It was deffinitly worth it though. Oh, and if you think it's confusing now, you ain't seen nuthin yet. ;)
  20. Ok, I fixed up the text just a little bit on the GameCrap image for those who wanted improvement, and I'm working on the LameStation one. The text on the one just doesn't fit in...
Originally posted by BigCajones *Off Subject* All you anti X-Box members please comment here! I need your opinions. :wigout:
I posted there. Hopefully it will stir up a bit of controversy on the other side. ;)
Oooohh, I like this one a lot! Thanks! Could be a bit bigger though. Anyway, on a side note, the second one didn't have as high a pic quality. :-/
  22. No, I despise the console! Lol, hopefully this will stir up a bit of controverseh. Personally, I don't really like the XLax...I-I mean XBox. Maybe it's just a grudge I've held from day one, but it's never really made me want to get one. Sure, it has some strong hardware and potential, but I don't see that many great games coming from it other than a few, such as Splinter Cell, Panzar Dragoon Orta, Halo, and Jet Set Radio Future. I'm not really a fan of online games either, which this system seems to be doing more than the other two by far. I don't have broadband, and I don't plan on getting it either, because of the price and because I'm happy with the 56k on my brand new computer right now. I really don't like what Microsoft is charging to play these games online, and it doesn't look like it's going down any time soon. Maybe this is the future of gaming, or maybe this is just a prime example that we will use in the future of something that we should never attamept to do. Next, the appearance. Now everyone knows what I'm talking about here, lol. The systems itself is huge. o_o;;; I usually like to bring my systems in the car sometimes, and I'm not sure where I would fit the XBox, much less the controllers. And the controllers indeed. Although my younger 12-year-old brother loves the XBox controller, I don't like it, new controller or not, and I'd continuously accidently hit other bottons when reaching those higher up on the controller. I also hear that the XBox has a tendancy to over-heat, whereas if you are playing the system all night, it suddenly stops playing the CD. What I heard that one kid did was take off the top of the console, but I don't want to mess with all that, and the system will look like crap. The XBox does have a DVD player, but you might as well not even compare that to the GC, because you need to pay extra to watch DVDs, and you could have just gotten the Panasonic 'Cube. All of these extras that the XBox makes you pay extra for...ack. >_< I'm hoping that the XBox will step up it's performance in the future. The price isn't too bad, but I've heard way too many stories from friends who just keep their XBox in the closet to take advantage of that. Besides, the only people I know that own XBoxs own every other next-generation console, and XBox was their last buy. It's just not the system for me. *shrug* That's why I have PS2 and GC, and not XBox.
  23.
Originally posted by Charles Man, it feels so good to see those logos become a reality. I like them both equally. But, I'm not so sure I invented the names. I think that Semjaza might have been saying X-lax before me. Anyway, it's too bad you couldn't find a decent image of a Playstation 2 controller. At least you incorporated it into the location though. Good work Snake. Hehe.
Ah, yes, then props to Semjah as well. :) I don't know why I can't find a decent pic of a PlayStation controller like a wanted. Otherwise, you may have seen all three controllers in a banner...
Originally posted by SSJ Pud Hehe man does this guy find anything he likes, kinda glad hes banned, he was really harsh, btw i think he jus added crap, game was already there ;)
Heh, I guess it is too late to tell him now. But yeah, all I did was write in "Rap" though I may want to re-do that part. ^_^ On a side note, if anyone has some good large front images of the DualShock 2 for PlayStation 2, I'd really appreciate them.
  24. Hey hey, I like all consoles...except XBox. ¬_¬ I just made these for fun, like how Charles had all these names for the systems when he owns them all and can't live without them. No insults were intended for the systems themselves! Thanks for the compliments, though. I think I prefer...XLax for the text, GameCrap for the image.
  25. I was kind of wondering whether or not I should get this. In one hand, I only have enough money for one game (exactly 53 dollars) which I was originally saving for Super Smash Bros Melee. On the other, my brother does have a little money, so we could use that to preorder it, and also...I don't own the N64 versions of Zelda, nor have a played much of it at all. I was originally going to preorder it before I got a GC, hoping I would get it in the future... When I got a GC recently, I was going to just skip over the game. My neighbor has the game (N64 and GC), so it's not a big deal to borrow it; but he also has Melee. But now that I have heard so many opinions on this, and because of all the hype, I think I will get it. Hey, it's free, and it's only a limited time. I'll get back to you when I get it. :) EDIT: This may be a bit off-topic, but I can't really find Melee...anywhere. I'm talking a whole lot of electronic stores including Electronic Beautique. *shrug* I suppose it's not even worth it to wait to get Super Smash Bros. Melee, and I should just go for the Zelda pre-order.
