I'm in the middle of it right now, where the computer lets you go up to the level that you started out at, and you have to...do something. o_O I suppose I'm in it about 3:17 or so, but I don't care. This first time around I'm looking to have fun and try and collect everything. In the future I may try and do it in under 2 hours. I absolutely love this game, from the controls and graphics, to the gameplay and storyline. Of course, this is my first metroid game, and I could just not be accustomed to better qualities. Ohh, this is just one of my favorite games, and I can't wait until I beat it...or a future metroid game comes out for GBA. o.o'
Originally posted by Mitch Mmm. Well, I'd love to meet Charles aka Crazy White Boy. He's one of the best friends I've made on here. We also have lots in common, being fellow writers and all. Actually, I'd love to meet anyone...as long as they aren't uber scary, lol. But me meeting CWB is near-impossible. He lives in New Jersey, me in North Dakota -_- Ah, I wonder who lives closest to me? Probably no one, I mean, North Dakota's such a reclusive state...
Yeah, there are plenty of people that I would love to meet. (anyone near southern Maryland? :-D) This makes me question, though, is this thread going to turn into something similar to the one about meeting people in real life? Just a thought, and it's only a few threads down.

Now that you bring up the topic, I kind of see what you mean, but I'm really not too bothered about it. Sure, I hate getting up at 6:10 AM every morning, take a shower, gel my hair, and rush out by 6:45 (it's rushing for me, trust me o_O). What I usuaully do, however, is let myself look forward to something at different intervals. In first period, I'm waiting for fourth period, art. From there, I'm ganna talk to my friend on the way to fifth. In fifth, I tell myself that I'll be eating and playing GBA in lunch next period, and talking about some anime with my friend. It goes on like that, and when I get home, I just hang out on the 'net the rest of the day. What you have very much could be some stress or something, and it will probably pass by the weekend, when you can have whatever the heck kind of day you want. :)

Cool, you guys are lucky that you live so close to each other. >.< No one lives near me, but I go on some trips, so I'm hoping to visit people in either Florida or California. Not that that's a deffinite either; my parents probably won't choose to spend a vacation in a place near anyone anyway. Oh well, I kind of like just talking on the internet. As people who know me know, I'm totally different offline. Perhaps I should leave your impression of me as it is. o_O

Woah, great job Adam, James, and Tony! It just gives me one more reason to come to theOtaku, even though I work there and have a million reasons alreay. o.o' I really like the design at the top. It's a different feel to theOtaku, but I think it looks great. So...many...new...sites. *_* And even a Guru section that you have yet to do. >.< One thing I never saw coming was Tony working for theOtaku. That alone blew me away, lol. No offense was ment. ;)

I remember that show! I'd watch it every day after school before DBZ, after Sailor Moon...I think. It was a good show, but perhaps this would go under "Anime"? Hmm...

Anime GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) Has anyone seen this?
Syk3 replied to Domon's topic in Otaku Central
I saw it subbed a long time ago, I think. It had some action, which I liked, but for some reason it didn't really apply to me. I'll have to watch it again to find out exactly why... -
Hmm, sounds like someone who's only seen Pokemon and Dragonball Z. I pity them. If they post, we will get them, but you didn't need to make a topic about it. PM a mod next time. ;)

W00t, Semjaza should me one of these pictures and I was aboslutely blown away. This was before I knew about the backlight, the rechargable batteries, or the release date. And to think, I didn't believe that the GBA could get any better. ;) Although you could buy a backlight and rechargable batteries for your current GBA, this one fits into a comfortable package without taking the chance with tweaking your GameBoy. It seems to be even more to the extreme of portable, and the design is very sleek. Of course, there is one thing I am cautious about -- it looks very uncomfortable. But it is a factor I'm willing to overlook. ^_^ The only thing that would stop me from getting this is my wallet *flies fly out* and explaining to my parents why I need another GBA. o_O

What things do you like doing in your spare time?
Syk3 replied to Tommy Vercetti's topic in General Discussion
This topic is kind of controversial, on whether to keep it open or not; I clearly remember a topic not so long ago about what you do when you're bored, and even so, it seems like we've had a few topics like this in the past. Anywho, I basically like to either go on the computer or play video game. On the computer, I can do anything from making banners and going on the 'net, to listening to music and watching DVDs. Otherwise, I play my PS2 or GameBoy Advance. I just got some new games on each of them, so I'm probably spending more time on them than usual. And no, I do not have a life. :) -
Hmm, well, I'd have to say that flirting would be when a guy or a girl is making sexual advances toward the opposite sex (or same sex, depending on your desires). Whether this be talking to them smoothly, or just trying to act cool around them, it is usually quite obvious that they have a thing for the other person. Another word to describe this is "hitting" on them. :D I guess a few people noticed that you were showing these signs, and decided to judge you on them. Of course, sometimes people act this way normally, so you really never know unless you've seen them on a regular, average day.

I don't really hear geek that much; usually when someone is just joking around with someone or something. Otherwise, I imagine someone similar to what CWB said - thick glasses, pocket protectors, kinda high piched voice (this is taking about a guy, by the way o_O), bad sense of fassion, and sits by themselves in a corner reading books. There's nothing wrong with these kids, and shouldn't be picked on, but that's what I take from the stereotypical "geek." o.o'

No use in having two of these babies open. ;)
Originally posted by Cyke Blood: The Last Vampire had a nice, creepy soundtrack as well.
Oooh, yeah, I need to watch that again. I can't remember the songs, but I'd imagine that they were pretty creepy, judging from the content.

So you got kids...now watcha going to name them?
Syk3 replied to Yu Yu Hakusho!'s topic in General Discussion
If it's a boy, I'll name them Spike Spiegal. If it's a girl...Faye Valentine. :) Just kidding, but I do feel sorry for some of these kids that you all are going to name. :( -
Originally posted by Mystic's Knight Lol your name is a notorious one for me!!!! GRR I always think of CYK2K when I see your name!! ODD Eh? :)
Lol, I actually thought of changing it to Cyk3. But we already have a Cyko, and a Cyke, and it would just get too darn confusing. ;)
Originally posted by amiboshi I really think that's true. I always make mental images from the anime and associate that with the songs playing, so when I listen to the music alone, I still have the mental images from the anime. ^-^ It adds even more feeling to the music... Also, I can remember feelings from the anime when I listen to the music, so again, it adds more to the music... Did that make any sense? >.>
Yeah, it's like, you'd never even listen to that song if it wasn't associated with anime. >.< Another creepy song is the song that they rarely play in Trigun. The tech song, where something creepy is happening. Woah...best anime music/sound...ever. *_*

Well, I was originally going to say that I prefer television, because I don't have a lot of time to read books, lately, but when you introduce message boards into the equation, I guess I do prefer reading. Hmm, funny how you do things without realizing it. ::is currently involuntarily kicking over a trash can:: (seriously o_O)
Originally posted by Yu Yu Hakusho! Sounds freaky.....
It is, but for the last time, please do not SPAM just to get in another post. For the last time, please read the little page at the top of the screen called the rules. On topic, does anyone know how many eps are in this series? I think I only saw about 4 or 5.

I'd say that some creepy anime music is the song they play in the Cowboy Bebop movie, as Vincent is dragging Spike by his neck through the train. Ahhh, I love that music. It seems as though you really get to enjoy music a lot more when it's during an anime. ^_^

I've never had a cavity in my life yet, and I hope I won't ever. I mean, the regular dentist is bad enough. Oh sure, I used to love my old dentist, and it was quick and easy, but after this new one gets done with cleaning my teeth, there's blood all over the napkin. ...Owwwwww...
Originally posted by Mitch Ah. Yes. That someone would be me, Sky. It would be me...:evil laugh: Actually, I just call you that out of...I don't know, it's just way better than...:pause:...the other way you say it. :gasp: Sky even IMed me awhile ago asking if the poem in my sig was written to spite him, lol. It isn't. I got the idea from "Good-bye blue sky" by Pink Floyd. SO yeh. lol. That was funny. Other than that, I'm never used to calling Aries Kinetic now. It's just plain weird. Plain weird. Ah, and Samjaza, your name... I just read it as Semi Trainzazel all of the time. Just works out so much better. So much better. Mwhahaha.
Go figure, LOL. I should make up a name for you, my sly friend. o_O Oh, and for Mnemolth, I just pronounce it Manamolth. Heh, I can see him laughing at that, thinking to himself, "Muahah, I'm older than everyone here!" Erm...o.o'

I'm not too mean to newbies at all. It's newbies whose sole purpose of joining the boards is for spamming when I get angry at them, obviously. The only reason that people are tough on newbies in the first place is because they usually do all this stuff against the rules without knowing it. I don't get mad at them, I just give them a link to the rules. :)

Yeah, I feel the same way. I used to go to countless other forums as well, more recent ones showing me just how much I apreciated OtakuBoards. You can't even compare OtakuBoards to some place like, say, FFRepublic. There, you could get away with everything, and while that may seem more free, it's a LOT less friendly, and I just felt like I didn't belong. But I like this community. Nice people, first forums I ever joined, and just an over-all great place.
