1. Hmm, it seems that everyone is spamming, so let's change this topic into your favorite over-all anime song, heh. I'm disappointed in you, Kevin. ;) My favorite song is probably the opening theme for Outlaw Star. It has a very cool tune that's fast pace and catches your, um...ears. In any case, I think they did a great job, and it even influenced me to buy the series! Ok, not really...but it is still cool. :)
  2.
Originally posted by James Nope, here it is: http://www.hack.channel.or.jp/ It's a GREAT site. The wallpapers are gorgeous. ^.^
Lol, I had it. ;) And yes, the site is absultely amazing. The flash is great, as well as the wallpapers. The only thing is that it won't let you open the wallpapers once downloaded, and it's almost entirely in Japanese. But yes, other than that, great .hack site. :)

    Trigun??
Originally posted by Kaiba's Angel You're an evil person... *ahem*figureitouteveryoneelse*coughhack* I do agree that the section on Trigun is really great, and I haven't seen it either, but I don't think I'll be PMing you about the DVD set.
This is spam. I'm not sure what you're implying here, but my post was merely answering the question for the topic at hand. I tried to include as few spoilers as possible, so as to try and get others to watch it for themselves. In any case, the question has been answered, so this topic does not to be discussed further.
  5.
Originally posted by Ben Holiday Well I found a copy of Spriggan yesterday and was considering picking it up until I saw the $45.00 price tag which decided me against it. I'm going to call around to the video stores in the next couple days and see if anybody carries it.
Forty-five dollars?! I can get the entire series of Trigun for less than that. Not to mention get the Spriggun movie for $11.50 (PM me to find out where!). In any case, I'm interested to find out which stores you can rent anime from, or if it's possible to do it online. o_O

    Knives
Originally posted by 9Eagle7Dragon Huge spoilers here. Just to let you know. Series and Trigun Maximum Refrences here. Hello, I'm the reincarnate of Knives. Seriously. We share pretty much all the same personality traits, I'm getting my hair done like his (I'll have to bleach it a little), I'm the biggest bad *** gunsliger on the planet, and I'm working on the psycic thing. I pretty much consider him a part of me, so I'm going to speak in the 1st person throughout the thread. But anyway, I always wanted the best for my brother Vash. The only problem is we are two completly different people. I'll make him see my side of things one day, you'll see. Understand, there was only supposed to be one of us when we were created, but as we are plants, when you split a plant, it finds a way to create two different plants out of the halfs. So we were divided, in short, into a smart and evil one (me), and a dumb and good one (Vash). By the way, I'm looking for experianced hit men/women to fill the ranks of some of the lost gung-ho guns members. Pay sucks, but I'll spare you when I destroy humanity. As for Transtic Nerve, I'm really flattered 'bout that. But I'm not british, (you apperantly like them because it's on your sig) I am 100% plant hoplessly divided into a 50% and regenerated back into a 100%. As for Legato Bluesummers, he's a cool villan too, hell, that's why he's my (quote) *****. (unquote) I prefer calling him my second in command, as that's kinda degrating of him. If he was ever deservative of being degrated, it was when he suggested that I killed Vash. I was so infuriated, I folded him in half. He lived, only to sacrifice himself for me. He's my zelot, he'll do anything for my cause. As for being a psychopath, if you could understand the every thought of every person in a 10 mile radius since my birth, you'd go nuts too. Same deal with Legato. I'll leave you with something my friend Sarah used to say: "Villans arn't bad guys, they're just misunderstood people who need a hug." Her parents are looking into shrinks. I hope I clarified a few things. (KILL THE SPIDER!!! SAVE THE BUTTERFLY!!!)
That was...interesting. I'm glad to see your dedication in Knives! Oh, and the butterfly thing, I just remembered, hehe. Knives would kill the spider to save the butterfly, as Vash would try and save both. Through this comparision, we can differ Vash from Knives. Bah, I can't believe I forgot about the butterfly. :bluesweat
  7.
Originally posted by James The official Japanese site looks incredibly cool, but unfortunately I can't remember its URL. :bawl:
It's wouldn't, by chance, be http://www.hack.com/sign would it? haha As for the Eva fanbase, I can deffinitly see what you mean. The characters in Eva have a lot of emotion, and mainly shape the series into what it is. Your description of .hack makes me feel the same way about their characters as well. EDIT: Wait, is this it?
  8. Wow, that was the most interesting...erm, dark poem that I've heard in a while. It was very well put together, and I can see that you have some deep poetry in you. My favorite part? The line that said: As the corpse lies there as flat as a pancake. Lol, it was very sudden, and it made me laugh for some reason. o_O -- probably the pancake part.
  9. Don't be alarmed! I simply merged this thread with an older one that basically had the same idea -- the ending. If you'd look through these last couple pages, you'll see that I've already posted, and if you're interested to what I have to say about the ending, you can refer there (yeah, right). Note: I would have closed this, but you bring up very good comments. :)
Originally posted by Rick Hunter :) Cowboy Bebop's ending was pretty good, sad ending that many people probably didn't expect coming... the song Blue was a perfect choice for the ending...Umm next time though please post in the thread wether or not this is a spoiler.. Many thanks in advance. ;)
Lol, look at his post. He did say that this has "mucho spoilers." ;)
  10.
Originally posted by wgch Super Nintendo Charlmers
Heh, yes that was a great quote Ralph said, wasn't it? ;) I can't think of any other really funny quotes right now, but when I do, I'll edit this post.
  11.
Originally posted by JCBaggee The whole "Anime in Wal-Mart" thing just got bigger. I walked into the same Wal-Mart the other day and noticed a few more DBZ DVD's in there, so I got to looking. One of them was "Dead Zone". The catch? Uncut. Please note, however, I did not pick up the movie. Why? Because "Dead Zone" sucked, but that's a discussion for the DB/Z/GT Forum. --J.C.
Bah, come now, WalMart always had Dragonball Z DVDs, which are all uncut anyway. All of their DVD versions come uncut and with the original Japanese episode or movie. It's nothing new. ;)
  12.
Originally posted by Juuthena I heard rumors about another one coming out later on... I'm not so sure about it though. I just over heard it from a few guys at the Meteron, and I really wish it were true. ^_^
Another Cowboy Bebop movie? Ah, for I wish it was so. However, Cowboy Bebop is even kind of old in Japan, and when you think about that, I really doubt they would bring out another one. It would be cool, but highly doubtfull.
  13.
Originally posted by OutlawDragon Yeah it mostly likely the average season in Japan. Althougth Syk3 Love Hina has more than 26 if you consider Again and the movies. Hmmm... So shows that aren't 26 episodes were most likely canceled, right? So those series aren't wworth watching??? What do you think? Lataz -OD
Heh, I'm taking 26 episodes from what Rick Hunter said in a previous forum. ;) But if it's movies, it doesn't really affect the number of episodes in the series. The shows that wern't 26 episodes, if more, may have been taken into multiple seasons. Ones that were lower, yes, they were probably cancelled.
  14. Hmm, I believe that the actual spelling is 'Bebop,' with a lower case 'b.' On the ship, it was most likely written with a fast sense in mind. Of course, I highly doubt any good discussion is going to come of this, so I'm going to have to...::moves hand towards close button::
  15.
Originally posted by Lord_Otaku88 no no Gun Dream, or Gunnm for short, but in America they call it Battle Angel Alita.
Ohh, my mistake. I've heard about Battle Angel Alita; it is supposed to be a very sad anime. James was telling me about it. :( I want to see it though, it sounds like an extremely well-made production.
  16.
Originally posted by gokents I'm willing to bet that it has to do with several factors, but the over riding one is one I have no evidence to support. I propose that it has to do with the length of a "season" on t.v. and 26 might just be the magic number for any show that wishes to be aired on a once-a-week basis. I figure there are 52 weeks in an "american" year and 26 is half that. That makes for a coincedence wouldnt you say...
Wow, that's excellent thinking. I hadn't even thought of that aspect, but it makes perfect sense. They would show it either once every two weeks, or weekly over one half of a year. As for the filler episodes, I really cannot stand them, since their sole purpose is just to take up space. Longer series may actually have less filler episodes, because they arn't trying to go for a specific limit. They would have a continuing series that doesn't have time for anything else. I suppose this is why shorter animes with 26 episodes have more fillers. They are trying to reach a certian ammount for a season, so when they run out of ideas, they conveniently devote a whole episode to reviewing what has happened in the series thus far, or something.
  17.
Originally posted by James Oh, that's kind of sad. Only 26 episodes for an entire series. :bawl:
Heh, yeah, you don't get as much out of it as a longer series. But then, with a shorter series, it will be easier and faster to get more action out of it, rather than a longer series where the action comes in time.
  18.
Originally posted by James I haven't seen an anime series in so long. It makes me wonder; in 26-episide animes...generally, are the episodes all half an hour or an hour? Or do their times vary? That must sound incredibly ignorant, so please excuse me.
It's okay James :p. However, usually the episodes are all standard time -- more or less 20 minutes. I can't say that I've ever timed an episode before, but I'm sure the ones I've seen wern't anything over 25 minutes.
  19. Yeah, they've had these CDs out for a while now. I've also heard that they include a secret code that hasn't been released. I'm probably not going to get them, becuase If I wanted to listen to them I would just pause my game, and the codes will go around the internet soon anyway. And no, I don't know the station.
  20. Has anyone noticed lately that a lot of animes are being created with 26 episodes in their series? I'm not sure whether this is a new fad for Japanese animes, but over the past couple years I've been seeing different animes with 26 episodes. This includes, that I know of, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Trigun, Neon Genesis Evangelion, .hack//SIGN, and Love Hina. Does anyone know any other animes like this? And does anyone know, if there is a reason, why so many animes are doing this? I'm not complaining, not at all. In fact, I think animes with 26 episodes are the coolest ones. They get the point across, but not so much as to drag along boring episodes (remember DBZ's 270 eps?!). Ah, well, just a curious person wanting some answers.
  21.
Originally posted by Lord_Otaku88 Well I'am not sure but is Gunnm a rare anime?
What was that? I hope you're not trying to say Gundam, because that's one of the most non-rare animes out there. It's been around since the late 70's and there are over 20 different Gundam series. Rediculous, I never liked that show anyway.

    Sailor Moon!
Originally posted by sweetreyes Thank you very nuch...and I guess that I have to be the opposite of you all and say...I LOVE IT!!!!
Lol, I bet you just like it because you don't have anything to compare to. If you had seen both versions, you may think differently, but would deffinitly have a better vote and know what your dealing with.
  23.
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel No one has talked about the banning in like 3 weeks hehe :).
Amen. As for the prices of the anime, they would probably be pretty high, considering that WalMart thinks that fans of anime would try and get it no matter what. That's why...I'd rather stick to online anime purchases. Unlimited different animes, almost always in stock, and cheaper, it just takes a few weeks to get it.
  24.
Originally posted by Ben Holiday Sounds like fun I'll do it. If I can find a copy in my area is it a series or movie?
It's a movie. I doubt Kevin is going to have us rent an entire series, lol.
  25.
Originally posted by Cyko Well, I saw the comercial today and one of the shows was Crest of Stars.
Yeah, and since my last post, I have found that one of them is Lain (don't know the full name, sorry).
