I don't watch Cartoon Network all that much anymore, but with all this fuss on...erm, Lupin III, I suppose that I'll want to tune in. It's just rediculous that they will be showing it on weekdays, and I don't care whether you are in school or work, this is inconvienient for just about everyone. That is, unless you can somehow adjust your sleeping schedual to accomidate this, or are unemployed and live in your parent's basement. :p In any case, I bet that younger kids will try to stay up any way, and parents are going to complain to CN that they are making their kid stay up on school nights. Ah, well, you can't please everyone.

Man, all of this good talk on .hack//SIGN is very intruiging. I'm actually thinking of getting the anime when it is dubbed. I'm always open for ideas of new genres of animes that I could buy, and this is perfect with 26 episodes (I like animes with 26 episodes for some reason. It's like it is just enough time to get a good series out or something). I looked into the game, and it sems to be coming out in February as an RPG in the PlayStation 2. I believe that I saw this before I saw this thread, since, as I said in my last post, the name really stands out.

Anime Just picked up "VHD: Bloodlust"! ...and you won't believe where!
Originally posted by spike speigel I'm surprised. Maybe they've finally realized that dbz doesn't qualify as good anime.
On the contrary. They probably got such good sales with the Dragonball Z tapes that they realized that anime is a big hit. :) -
Originally posted by Mztik_Gohan10 I hope they don't cut out good parts in the dub.
Nah, I doubt they would. They didn't in the series, and I'd think they would try to make is even better in the movie. I'm mostly concerned with dialogue, both voices and conversation. If the actors simply cannot get into character, then the movie will turn out horrible when dubbed.
Originally posted by gokents I saw the commercial for this. It all looked like good anime. Specifcally, stuff that hasnt been aired by anyone in america. Some was familiar, some wasn't but it was all really quality stuff. Really nice looking, I wanna stress that. The segment is gonna be called "anime unleashed." It looks like its gonna be really good, and none of it is of the usual stuff. No dbz, nothing like that or anything else aired on tv in america. It looks to be nice. If you wanna catch the commercial, I caught it during the afternoon daily airing of extended play. Try and catch it, cause it looks like this stuff is gonna be nice. Till I hear more... bye
Sounds good, but do you mind filling us in on exactly what anime they will be showing? As for Neon Genesis Evangelion, I really doubt it, mainly because they won't be able to get the copyright for it. ADV films most likely wants to be the first to release it, on the anime channel. However, it does seem right that they would be showing tech anime. And ones that have never aired sound even better. >_<
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel I'd do it if I had money heh. Seems like an interesting idea. Maybe if I can get the stuff off Kazaa I'll join in... :)
That seems like a good idea, except I really don't want to be filling up my computer, with me getting a new one in about a month of so, lol. Ohhh, it's a good idea, but I suppose I will miss out on the first couple sessions.

I've heard of Final Fantasy Unlimited, I'll grant you that. I heard about it when they were thinking of using this series to spawn Final Fantasy games on the GCN. Other than that, I havn't seen any of them except for Labyrinth of Flames. Haha, that was a fan service anime if I've ever seen one.
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine I thought that was what you were talking about anyway. I missed 'The Birth of NERV'! :bawl: Stupid VCR. Grrr... Did I miss anything important? Or is that like asking whether the Universe is 'fairly big'?
Hmm, yes, that is a very important episode. Sorry you had to miss it, but it really explained a lot of where NERV and SEELE came from, as well as give a more in-depth description of the characters. I'd try to see it if you can.
Originally posted by sweetie_rei Same here as well. I really love CBB!
Bah, people, lets try to stay on topic here. I don't care if you like Cowboy Bebop, this is about the movie, lol. I believe that this is one the of the best anime movies of our time, and I really can't wait to see what it will be like dubbed.

Hmm, do you get something in Fusion for a certain time limit? Or 100% in general? Now that you bring that up, it sounds pretty interesting. On a side note, I don't have the game, but I'm planning to get it, haha.
Originally posted by cloricus C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\data\handling.cfg (Default folder for it) Open it in notepad. (Copy a copy of it somewhere else as a back up in case you screw it up. And as the original so when you've had your fun you can restore the game back to its original settings.) It explains every thing in the top part. The game reads from that file every 3 seconds, so if you change some thing then save it and then alt-tab back in to the game it will take affect quickly. That is the basic modding starting point, then you go in to the cars, then the "world environment" (change how the 3d world exist, things like gravity.) then the game it's self. But if you want to have some fun have a go at modding that file (remember backup) - trust me it is great fun, setting a car to go at 1000km/h accelerating at 250km/h and braking at 2000km/h. Having a mass of max and float value of 1. You drive down a road and every thing blows up! And after it you can say I know how to mod gta3! (REMEMBER KEEP A BACK UP OF THAT FILE SOMEWHERE ELSE ON YOUR HD!) -Lord EpSsy
Yeah, well, I have it on PS2, not PC. :whoops:
Originally posted by Schratn9 i think the shows great, i watch i everyweek before RAW (which rules). what happened to the teacher with the blonde hair from the first to seasons?
That's a good question. But with all of the new teachers every season, it's no wonder she probably quit. Ah, well, barely any of the originals are still there anyway.

So, this is like a bookclub, except for Anime? It sounds pretty interesting, but most of us really have no way to rent animes. At least, I don't. And I certainly don't have the money to buy a movie every week, haha. In any case, I heard that Spriggan is supposedly based off Trigun, but no Vash? How can you have a Trigun flick without Vash?!?!
Originally posted by cloricus Are you guys talking about modding the game or the pictures from the game? If you are talking about modding the game, I'm your man. We got bored at about 12 one night and two days of no sleep we were pro's... I can make you and thing for any thing you need. Yes there is a bill gates skin out, skins are very easy to load. GTA3 was designed to make it easy for modders because they modded v1 and 2 (even though it was very hard) the designers thought they should give them a break, so it is very easy to mod. -Lord EpSsy
Ahh, I believe they are talking about modding the game. My mistake. :bluesweat But, wow, modding game, now that sounds pretty hard. I wouldn't even want to try it, lol.

Well, I don't believe there is a cheat, but there are some GameShark codes on it, but then you get into the specific weopons, and it gets pretty confusing. If you want them, go to a search engine and type "Vice City infinite ammo."
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Baltimore has Otakan. Which is a HUGE convention. At least I think it's in Baltimore. Anyway, yeah. HUGE convention. All sorts of things there.
Yup, I've heard about that. I'm just hoping to 1) Get an actual date of when it is and... 2) Get a ride, haha
Originally posted by Shyguy Ooh! Ooh! I would!
:smirk: :p Yeah, Neon Genesis Evangelion is an absolutely amazing anime series. The characters have a lot of emotion and are very realistic, and as of now Eva is my favorite mech anime (Gundam deals way too much in politics). It's extrememly realistic, but at the end it goes to an extent, and Shinji needs to seriously go to a mental hospital. v.v Anyway, I really wouldn't mind an Eva section on both theOtaku and OtakuBoards. Ah, we can dream.

I've never exactly been to one before, but I'm hoping to learn about one this year in Maryland that I can go to. As for the costumes, it's a cool idea, but their quality in clothes is pathtic and it makes them look like, erm...stupid people. o_O

That's a good question, but I remember it like it was yesterday... I think it was 6th grade. Yeah, seems right. My friends started collecting these cards, and when they asked me to join, I told that that I wasn't interested, that I'm not into that kind of stuff. I was wrong. No, it wasn't Pokemon cards (bleh) but Ani-Meyham DBZ cards, and I started collecting them almost immediately for some reason. Of course, now that I started collecting the cards, I wanted to watch the show. Granted, this wasn't the one on Toonami -- there was no Toonami. I started watching it when Radditz first came down, when Space Ghost was hosting it. o_O Anyway, I really got into it, and until about the middle of 9th grade. I finally got over DBZ and started watching other anime like Cowboy Bebop, then lived happily ever after.
Originally posted by genkai Well, if Syk3 was watching it dubbed, it culdnt have been chobits. they dont even have the 12th eppie subbed yet.
Haha...no, it was subbed. :(

Yeah, I started trying to mod a GTA Vice City picture, but it was my first time, and I really havn't done a lot to it. It seems pretty interesting though, I was kind of inspired by that dude who made it look like he was on the World Trade Center when it was about to be hit by a plane. I was like, ahh, I could do that, lol.

Ah, so that's what the anime is that you showed me the pic of. I had a hunch that it was .hack//SIGN. As for the actual anime, I can't say that I've seen it, but I've been hearing about it for a while now. The name sounds very intruiging, lol. From what you say, it sounds like an awsome idea; an anime based on video games. It's combining two of the coolest things into one, and what better way to get James hooked, haha. I'll deffinitly want to see it sometime, and I hope not to be disapointed. :)

What does this fan club do? Hmm, well, it's pretty much here for a gathering of fans in the series. We don't do things together like try to take over the forums, but we may have occasional Bebop chats on AIM. That is, if we have enough people with AIM. We'll have to wait and see.
