1. What are you guys talking about?! First of all, what do you mean die again? How could he die if he's already dead?!? o_O Second, I don't believe that NECRO said that Spike killed him. Rather, he in fact said exactly what you were arguing on: the giant robot stepped on him and killed him. Lastly, wow, 30 times? I've only seen it about 5 or so, and I own the DVDs, haha.

    Knives

Well, considering he is Vash's brother, I'm not quite sure why you'd put that in quotation marks, but I'll try to answer what he symbolizes as one. But first, is this a trick question? Are you actually looking for a specific answer? lol I suppose that he symbolizes what an ideal brother would be. He saves Vash's life, looks out for him, and wants nothing but the best for him. Vash is the only one he trusts or cares for, and this is very clear in the series, as when they travel together after crash landing on the planet, or when he intentionally saves Vash's life, alone, on the ship accident. Even in the last episode, it's Vash that comes to him looking for a fight that Knives has deserted his whole life, rather than Knives wanting to kill him. He's always loved Vash; it's his hatred for humanity that brings out the evil in him. Well, that's my take on it, but I'm interested to hear your views as well. :)
  3.
Originally posted by NECRO And 1 more thing I didnt know it was possible to shoot through a bullet proof window.
Well, it's bullet proof to an extent. For example, if you shoot a rocket launcher at it, it may, in fact, break. Or, it you shoot it with a machine gun directly aiming at one point continuesly for 10 seconds, it would weaken it and eventually break it, which is precisely what Mad Pierrott did. I suppose that you can conclude that bullet-proof windows are stronger than regular windows, but can eventually be broken into as well.
  4.
Originally posted by Lord_Otaku88 okay what was the first session you guys saw? Mine was Session 21 Boogie Woogie Feng Shui
Haha, the first episode that I saw was Session #1 : Asteroid Blues. I saw the first five, then bought the series on DVD, and saw it all in order. o_O Strange, huh?
Originally posted by DuoMax I think Elgato freaked me out more, though.
I'd have to say yes and no to that. True, Elgato used his phsychopathic skills to harm a lot more innocents than Knives, but Knives had much more of a taste for blood. While Elgato was taking his prey one at a time, Knives was able to destroy entire towns in seconds, and was also planning to destroy the entire human race and live in peace with his brother and only other being he cared for, Vash.

    Knives

I think that Knives is a great character, and a great villian. His pride really helps to shape his character, reminding me much of Vegeta. As Vegeta, Knives despises the human race, and concludes that his own race is the most superior in the galexy. Backing his words up is Knives's power and taste for blood, shown in Episode 17: Rem Saverem. He also has that mysterious and badass aura about him, reminding me of Vicious from Cowboy Bebop. For this, he is one of my favorite character in all of Trigun. I believe that you are trying to ask...what he is? Well, believe it or not, Knives is a... **SPOILER** [...genetically engineered plant. Using the basis of a human in the creation, scientists aboard the "Project Seeds" colony ship mixed the DNA with that of plants. This way, they created a species that would not only grow quickly, but would live for a VERY long time, and would have great strength. Adam's section of Trigun on theOtaku.com shows you very specific details that conclude that this is true. But even if you didn't come to the conclusion that he was literally a plant, you may have thought that he represents a plant figuratively as well. If you saw Episode 17, then you must be able to remember the dicussion about plants that Knives had with Vash, about their strength and their superiority to humans by using all of their evergy not to talk, but to grow. This acounts for similarities of when Knives takes out both angel arms in the last episode, growing his arms like that of plants with huge leaves. There are many clues in the series, but some refuse to believe what Knives really is: a plant.] As for the phsychopathic side of Knives, I find that to be encredibly cool. To take control of someone with your own mind is something that every kid wishes to do, but to watch someone actually do it is very intruiging and further motivates my conclusion of his badass side. Knives is one very cool character, and is one of my favorites.
  7. No, you actually just have to rub it, but you can't have two. To get rid of the first, just treat it *really* bad, and it will leave you, then you can start a new one. Good luck!
  8. Yeah, Session 6 : Symphany for the Devil was a good episode, but it wasn't one of my favorites. Why? I suppose that while they had some nice plot twists, it was a little too elaborate, stretching farther then anything they've shown thus far. I own the movie, and let me say, it's one of the best anime movies ever. The action scenes are fabulous, and the story's not half-bad either. I just...can't get enough of that movie, lol.
  9. ::Bows:: Thank you! For I am the creator of the Cowboy Bebop section! ::cough:: And be sure to keep watching theOtaku; you may see more of my work in the future. But also check out Trigun, Adam did a fantastic job! He worked long and hard to help bring out both of these section like he did with the ones prior, and I just want to raise a toast to him!
  10. lol, is it just me or was this what the suggestion topic was all about? o_O Oh well, it's gone, and I'm glad. MyOtaku is going to be much more resourceful to newbies than first spam. The sooner this topic can deminish, the better. EDIT: Acid, there's basically a post every minute, haha. You all got three in during my short one.
  11.
Originally posted by boogeta I have never heard of this anime tell me about it and what channel it comes back
Well, it actually does not air on television. If you'd like to see it, order it on DVD of video, or go to theOtaku.com to learn more about it. I'd rather give you the choice to read spoilers or not, rather than tell you here. Plus, Adam did a great job on the section. EDIT: I've decided to summarize it myself, but be warned, there may be spoilers. Trigun is an anime that takes place on a planet other than Earth, which is noted from it's two stars (much like our sun) and two moons. The story itself is about a man nicknamed Vash the Stampede, for the purpose of his habbit of going into a town, and coming out with the town looking as if it has been hit by a stampede. For this, he has a bounty on his head of 60 billion double dollars (what they call dallars on this planet), although he is portrayed as the victom of an innocent mistake, just being there at the wrong time, but you can conclude one way or another when you watch the series. Joining Vash on his journey to a much happier place is Wolfwood, a traveling priest that carries a gigantic machine gun/bazooka in the form of a cross, and two insurance girls who try to prevent, or at least limit, the amount of insurance needed for Vash's actions, by the names of Meril and Milly. Trigun is shown to be a very comedic anime at first, but gets darker as the series progresses when we learn of Vash's evil brother and his plot to kill humanity. That's a very loose description, however, and I reccomend checking it out for further information.
  12. Thus completes the fan clubs of the three "westerns" that all came out in the same year, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Trigun (don't ask, some people just say that o_O). I'm hoping that this club can be a lot more...how can I say this...active than the other two. I'm going to try and enfore more club meetings on instant messengers, as well as discuss favorites that may otherwise be a waste in a seperate thread. So here we go! ^_^ 1. Your OtakuBoards name (just for reference) 2. Your favorite character of Trigun 3. Your favorite episode of Trigun 4. Your favorite song of Trigun 5. Your favorite scene of Trigun 6. Something that you want to say about Trigun; how you got into it, etc. 7. Your America Online Instant Messenger (AIM) screen name There's is also one last thing I want to address; I understand that signatures have been minimized, but if you could so much put something like, "I'm an official Trigun Fan Club member!," then it would be greatly appreciated. Of course, if this is a problem for you, and you need another line for something else, that's okay too. :) ----- 1. Your OtakuBoards name (just for reference): Syk3 2. Your favorite character of Trigun: Knives 3. Your favorite episode of Trigun: Episode 12: Diablo 4. Your favorite song of Trigun: The entrance song (don't know the name of it). Very addicting, and even made by Yoko Kanno! 5. Your favorite scene of Trigun: When Vash was fighting Knives and Knives took out his Angel arms 6. Something that you want to say about Trigun; how you got into it, etc.: Well, I first saw Trigun in my school's anime club. Didn't think much of it, and was hesitant at first as it started out almost completely as a comedy anime. Later on, I decided to give it a try and bought the series on DVD for my birthday. Wow! 7. Your America Online Instant Messenger (AIM) screen name: Syk326
  13. They have broken up 4 times in the past month? If that isn't a sign, I don't know what is. So, yeah, she should break up with him, lol.
  14. American Online turns into AOL. Instant Messenger turns into IM. America Online Instant Messenger turns into AIM. So yes, that's what it means.
  15.
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine I did exactly that too. Sorry, Flash. I meant to vote for NeoC.
Uhh, I never said that. I said something like that, but it I think you meant to say Acid, lol. Too many people messed up their votes. We should do a re-count! o_O Besides, Matt, by the time they would read your post, it would be too late, LOL.

    Matrix Reloaded

Oh my god, this is my most anticipating films of the next year. I just can't wait at all!!!!!! ^_^ Think about it, a sequal to my favorite movie OF ALL TIME. What I'm really hoping is that they keep the originality. It will deffinitly be hard to do, as it is with sequals, because the original is usually the coolest. I personally think they can do it, though, and I'm going to be seeing it opening day one way or another. EDIT: I remember back when I first saw Star Wars: Episode 2 (first day, ha!) and saw the preview for both movies, I literally almost had a heart attack! My heart skipped a beat and I couldn't even breathe, I was just hitting my friend's shoulder and pointing at the screen, LOL.

    Boston Public

Hmm..I have to disagree with you on one thing...almost NONE of these things happen in real life, and if they do, they wouldn't happen to one school. However, I do find it to be entertaining. It's just all this stuff that would be interesting if it actually happened, and it comes together with some good actors, a little comedy, and some plot twists. I guess I've been watching it for a couple years, since it started airing, and the rest of my family likes it, so it's like the only time we get together as a family other than dinner, haha.
  18. DARN IT...you guys said vote off, and I picked the one that I wanted off. After I read the post it was too late. I probably would have picked yoda..haha all drunk and...yeah...anywho, I accidently picked liamc2. I dunno, I was narrowing it down.

    Music

This is Cowboy Bebop, lol. I like a lot of songs in Cowboy Bebop, but I suppose it isn't the songs themselves that attract me, it's the content in which they are shown. For example, I probably wouldn't like a particular song if it was in an episode I didn't like. But I do like most of Cowboy Bebop, hence, I like most of the music, especially Rain. You can't argue with how that was presented, eh? Hey, does anyone know the name of the song that plays in Knockin' on Heaven's Door, when Vincent is dragging Spike in the Monerail? I was just watching the movie, and realized that the song is very cool.
  21.
Originally posted by Axel--Ignition Most of us should have AIM, who doesn't have it here?
I have no idea. Which is why I'm going to ask that whoever has AIM please post their s/n so that we can have a chat. Ha, we'll see who's awake and really wants to be a part of this club.
  22.
Originally posted by Shyguy Ok, I am a very big fan of Cowboy Bebop, but the episode was not as great as everyone thinks it is. There are some truly touching moments (it is so hard to write about this episode without spoiling anything!), but overall this is only a mediocre episode of Bebop. Personally I enjoyed "Ballad of Fallen Angels" a lot more. Maybe the mystery surrounding Spike's past did not live up to my expectations, or maybe I just don't like Julia. -Shy
Oh yes, Ballad of Fallen Angels was much more enjoyable. Even though The Real Folk Blues had some touching moments, I thought the episode moved kind of slowly with Julia in the way, but after that I found it awsome. When Spike was infiltrating the base, I was on the edge of my seat.

    Sailor Moon!

Sailor Moon, I actually used to watch that every day when I got home from school in 7th grade. It was like...addicting or something. *_* Anyway, I havn't seen it for about 3 years. It's kind of embarrising to even mention, considering I'm a guy, haha.
  24. I honestly think that you should stick with Stakeboarding, but that is just personal preference. I think it looks pretty cool, and you usually get a lot more recognition with it, rather than with inlining. I think inlining looks a little easier, but that's because you have the skates on your feet all the time, and can't drop them in mid-jump. I actually chose Inlining. You should try it out at least. You don't have to be confined to one, but try it and see how it stacks up to Skateboarding, then go from there. May the force be with you. Hey, isn't the Star Wars movie coming out Tuesday? ::mind wonders off::
  25.
Originally posted by Kinetic It won't hurt bad, you'll only feel the shots and it takes like 15 minutes (it's just waiting in the lobby for 5 hours that is annoying). Anyway, just tell them not to put the aenistetic (sp?) shot's needle in the infected part (it will supposedly hurt like the worst shot you've ever had I hear) and just to put a few shots around the toe, but I don't know if that works for everyone like it did for me. Anyway, it will be disgusting to see all of the blood if it gushes like mine did, but that's about all. You'll feel nothing but a little bit of pressure. Luckily, they don't cut the corner of your toe open (like I thought they would), they just stick a nail remover in there and dig the nail out, then cut it off. Didn't work the same way for me though. The doctor was pretty incompetant it seemed and didn't have a nail remover, so he used tweezers and scissors, and took out a scalpel, but didn't use it. At the end, he said "Hmm, I didn't get to use the scalpel," in a sad sort of way, and I thought, "Thank God this maniac didn't get to use the scalpel." E D I T: Oh yeah, it will feel so much better when it's done. Earlier I hit my toe (and held my breath like I always do, so I don't yell out in pain), but I didn't feel anything. They say you should be out of physical activity (like P.E.) for a week, but it's not that bad, I play all sorts of stuff still.
Oh god, I hate shots. Oh well, I've run away from this for about a year, might as well get it over with. And thanks, I'll ask not to have that certain shot. Ouch. As for the physical activities, that's all good, because you only have to take P.E. once in high school, so that's over with, and then I just finished playing out my soccer (or football for some of you) season, so there's nothing like that in my schedual.
