Thank you, guys. Yeah, I felt lost for most of this dream as well, so don't feel like you missed anything. You saw what I saw....whatever that was. And yes, Vicky, there is more, but it takes a while to transcribe dreams, and I haven't had time enough for much of that lately. College and Devil May Cry have been owning my soul. I'm trying to get time to finish this; it gets really weird after this, though a lot less action-y.

Fun, Weird, or Dumb Facts People Might not Know
Allamorph replied to Aberinkula's topic in General Discussion
- In 21 states, Wal-Mart is the single largest employer.
How many of them are in the South? -
Men can't hit women, though. It's a rule.
Ehh, not quite. Men can't strike ladies. Any woman who by her actions removes herself from that category is fair game, provided she really, really deserves it. But women can straight-up beat the tar out of each other if need be.

Fun, Weird, or Dumb Facts People Might not Know
Allamorph replied to Aberinkula's topic in General Discussion
J.S. Bach's father's middle name was Ambrosius. There is no I in team. There is meat, though, which is a good thing. (insert groan here) The double-L sound in Spanish is pronounced differently, depending on location. In Spain, the sound is "eee-yah", and in México the sound is eee-zhah. Also, if you are ever asked "¿Cómo estás?", the proper response (provided it is true) is "Estoy bien,"or simply "Bien." Do not use bueno: it has sexual connotations. (Oh, I'm goooood. ;)) El Papa is the Pope. La papa is the potato. And although cognates are fun, "embarrass" is not one of them. The false cognate embarazado actually means "pregnant"; the correct verb is desconcertar (inf.), which looks like "disconcert". :animeknow -
If the price was right, what would you do?
For a million, hell, I'll be your ***-slave for eternity. I like money.
Bad idea. Once you become enslaved, all your assets transfer to your master. Essentially, you are offering yourself into voluntary servitude of the worst kid, with no form of compensation for eternity. At least, that's how it works around here. None of my captives have rights.... -
Meta Knight's a Big ole' boy!! I like the (heretofore) shown layout of the new Classic mode. Edit: They have revealed Ike's final smash. I am happy.

I'm finishing my last research paper tonight, so I should have my sheet almost finished tomorrow evening, certain events providing. I'm so behind on life right now....
And I'd pay someone $100,000,001 to hunt you down if you did. :catgirl:
Wait, what? I'm sorry. My ears tend to perk up at the sound of a prospective customer. (So, uh, James....how bad is the ensuing paperwork? I hate paperwork.) -
But the prospect of life on Europe is slim at very best.
That what I keep thinking, but those darn Czechs are such pesky little buggers. :p (Yay typos.)
That and I met the creator/author/writer/designer/etc. at ComicCon this year and he signed my ***. That was superb.[/FONT']
Oi. You have a singular, curious mind, milady. I should like to meet you sometime, if only to see inside your eyes, see what makes you tick. It would be an interesting experience, I warrant.

So, this thought just occurred to me. I mean seriously. Has there been any discussion among the staff and the Event Master (when one was employed) about events for specific areas of the boards? Not random game threads, mind; something like a regular occurrence in each sub-area. See, I know I hardly go into the Amphitheatre (heh), what since I don't watch a lot of television and don't keep up with popular music; I'm fund-deficient enough that I barely make it into the Arcade or Anime Central; and I have little in the way of artistic talent which means the Studio is unfamiliar territory as well. I'm certain other members have their stomping grounds as well, and it's understandably difficult to incorporate all the interests of these natural cliqués into a single event. The Nifty Fifty was cool (the one that I saw :p), but other events seem to only be able to draw a specific crowd. Perhaps, then, if events were tailored to a specific area and its denizens, they might see more action and interaction. A regulated debate in Anime Central over characters/series, for instance, or writing challenges for the Anthology, or trivia matches in the Arcade or the Lounge. Does that follow? Or am I being too complicated again?
It wasn't really writing-based, it was just an online poll. People just voted for their preferred character. It was much like the poll feature you see at a site like GameFAQs.
Ah. That doesn't mean it can't be. :animesmil Come to think of it, it might make an interesting Theater event. Hunh....brb.
-
Considering the feature sems to be writing based, I doubt it'll come back. theO seems to be focusing mainly on fan art in its various forms, so..... We could start one here....

When I say "sentient life", I speak solely from a science fiction perspective. I don't actually believe there is any, either, but the theory makes for an interesting physiological discussion.
-
Yeah, UV might be greater, but then I'm not current on the knowledge necessary to make any deductions about that. And yeah, they have hit multiple Gs in theme parks and aircraft, but I'm talking constant exposure. If I recall correctly, astronauts have to readjust to our gravity after their tour of duty is over, and that's just what, a couple months? (I can't remember.) This is along the lines of actual lifetimes, from a colonization angle. Any sentient life already present would probably be noticeably different in physiology, at least internally.
-
I want to know about the gravity of the planet. I think it's kind of important and what. Too much might have an adverse affect on our health....at least initially. Climate adaptations would take several generations, if they occurred at all, so I don't know what to say about that angle.

Discuss Shinigami Dance: Playground of Deities
Allamorph replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Theater
The theory being that the presence of the Shinigami triggered the trap since naturally the Count wouldn't leave getting to his personal chambers so open and easy. Or so my reasoning goes.[/FONT']
C'était brillant. Provided my grammar is correct. I haven't got the foggiest idea. :p -
Yes, you're the only one, other than your lackeys who follow you around the boards.
Satire is lost on such as these. What can one do?
It's my guess that rhetoric is also a lost cause. :P

Gotta agree with xkcd, and I'll check out the other ones Lunox and Ravenstorture mentioned. Read a bit of VG Cats, which I like, but I feel compelled to introduce Cyanide and Happiness: Edit: (for posterity and more lolz)

I'll assume, then, that you guys have taken a gander at that DragonForce monster they added as a bonus track? I thought the band was Finnish, from the way the track sounded at first. And holy Moses, but the part is a beast.

The tasteless tangents touted by the twin twits turned them away. Hee hee.

Further note to new members: The user formerly known as 21st Century Digital Boy (easily spotted by his pumpkin colors) is unfailingly seen with his clingy attaché of questionable orientation. (Yeah, that kind.) Unfortunately, he has used too many different names, mostly in the same week, to have a specific designation anymore?for some reason, though, we call him Prem. I can't remember why....
