2. It's very frustrating that you can't send messages to yourself. How else can I remember things redundantly when I can't access what I originally wrote them down on?

 3.
I'm curious as to how Linkukun turned into Lunkukun in your quoting.

 4.
Well actually if you noticed the post to which mine was a reply too was placed before the Monty Python discussion.....
Since that post is where the reference was originally made, technically that's where it started. As long as we're being technical about things.
But why? So I can avoid looking like a fool? I'd rather just leave it up and accept any and all consequences and insults from Al and whoever else.
I wouldn't worry so much. I only get touchy when the people who "don't get it" are also parasitic humor-subverters.
 5. I think this post basically exemplifies the issues I have with post-writing from time to time, especially when I start working on a constrained direction. See, everything here works like it's supposed to. Darren's and Indi's posts had to merge with mine (Indi's at two separate points), there was supposed to be a scuffle featuring angry!Isen pinning Victor to the wall and Nathan not-so-subtly threatening her if she trespassed on his "kill", the dispensing of information, Nathan getting ready to blow things off; everything works. And the whole thing is wrong. I have no idea what's wrong with it. It can't be not long enough, because it's almost three pages in Word as is; it can't be the event progression, because I can't see anything else happening, and if Gavrie arrives before the two young ones do so he can be informed and put his two cents in the whole thing is going to drag out like a bad funeral; it can't be the dialogue because there's literally nothing else being said; but something about the entire post isn't flowing right, and I can't seem to see or feel what it is. faugh
 6. Remain Calm â??Me?â? said the indignant vampire, not even pausing to look up from the board. â??Him!â? He jabbed an accusing finger at the slyly-smiling shinigami across from him. â??He iss disgusting. Tsis is not how you play chess!â? â??Itâ??s completely fair,â? smirked Nathan. â??It iss completely un-fair, you tself-tsatissfied buffoon. Completely untsporting, betsides,â? the vampire groused. â??I come here for pleassantries, not for a tournament!â? â??And with that attitude youâ??ll never get any better.â? Victor threw up his hands, turning to the werecat for sympathy. â??You tsee? He iss implacâ??â? For a moment the room froze. Victor appeared openly stunned; Nathanâ??s eyes shifted up to his partner, but he moved no other muscle. Karl could see Nathanâ??s sister sitting half on the windowsill, a bottle of dark beverage arrested at her lips. Karl himself barely dared breathe. When Isen spoke her voice was soft and frigid. â??You command the actions of all your kind in this region, do you not.â? â??â?¦yess,â? said Victor slowly. â??And nothing happens here without your knowledge?â? The vampireâ??s brow knitted slightly. â??Yes,â? he assented, a touch of wariness entering his voice. â??Then perhaps you can explain to me,â? said Isen, â??why I and the Outcast were hunting a Jian yāoguà i in the middle of the city.â? The contempt in her words set Victor visibly back. He cast a fleeting glance of concern at his opponent and opened his mouth, searching for words. â??...a tservant of tse Jian wass here?â? he asked after a moment. Isen growled. â??You conspire with our enemy!â? â??Isen,â? warned the blue reaper. â??My lady, cat,â? the vampire soothed, â??I honestly know notsing about possible Jian activity in tse city.â? â??Do not lie to me!â? Victor made to stand. â??I assure you, tsere iss notsing of tse ssortâ??â? Isen lunged, tossing the vampireâ??s chair clear from her path as she grabbed his lapels to shove him backwards. Her body followed instantly, and as her forearm pinned him to the rear wall, her left hand swung up to pull her sword backwards from its sheathâ??but Nathan had reacted as soon as she had moved, spinning through the table to catch her hilt guard with his scythe. The three froze there again: the werecatâ??s arm across Victorâ??s throat, her draw blocked by her companionâ??s hooked blade, his free hand reaching across his body to press two fingers into her temple. â??Why was this envoy allowed into the city?!â? roared the werecat. â??My dear,â? the vampire managed raspily, â??I do not tsink you are yoursself....â? â??Let him go,â? Nathan said. His companion didn't seem to hear. â??If you will not talk I will rip your voice from your neckâ??â? â??Isen, back the **** OFF!!â? The werecat finally acknowledged her partnerâ??s presence, fixing him with a cold glare over her shoulder. Nathan returned it in kind, holding his gun-fingers firmly in place; their wills fought in the suddenly-electrified space between them until, with a snarl, Isen withdrew, her sword clicking furiously back to rest as she stalked to the kitchenette. Victor relaxed, breathing a sigh of relief. â??Tsank you, my friend,â? he startedâ??and then paused again as Nathan swung the gun-hand to point at his nose. â??Now,â? said the reaper, â??since weâ??re all sane again, suppose we clear the air. Isen, I think you should relax. You,â? he said, staring at Victor, â??can start by telling me why my lady friend is upset.â? Victor sighed again and adjusted the lace around his cuffs. â??Altsough I confess I did detsire to tsave my own neck,â? he said, â??I am telling you botss tse trutss. I am unaware of any Jian activity in tse area, nor have I tsanctioned any movements by otser groups intside or around my borders.â? Nathan nodded and looked behind him. â??Isen?â? he said, his voice inquiring but level. The werecat shot him a look of pure disdain and turned away, closing the refrigerator. â??Of course I am certain,â? she scorned, setting a glass quart of milk on the counter and opening another. â??I know their scentâ??and even if I was mistaken, the wretch declared his allegiance as soon as he was cornered.â? â??You allowed him to talk?â? The reaper lowered his arm and turned, genuinely surprised. Isen rolled her eyes. â??I am not unreasonable. Besides,â? she added, gesturing at Karl, â??I wanted to know why he was watching them.â? â??And?â? â??Shou Jian wants to talk with you,â? mocked Isen, leaning on the counter. â??He said we have four days to decide.â? â??â?¦and?â? â??Not sure. The yāoguà i enjoys the sound of his voice. He only gave me vague sinister threats.â? â??Oh,â? said Nathan. â??Well. In that case.â? Christine seemed to know where her brotherâ??s thoughts were going, for she slid off the windowsill and headed his way. â??I told you,â? she said. â??Escalation.â? â??More like posturing,â? he retorted. â??Nathan, youâ??ve been slowly destroying their resources for a few years, now. Please take this seriously; it certainly sounds like theyâ??re starting to.â? Nathan scoffed. â??Why? For all I know they paid some peon to come try and scare us. Might not even be that old; might be a new recruit who thinks heâ??s invincible.â? The empty milk quart clunked onto the counter, and Isen gave a heavy, pleased exhale and leaned over, into her forearms. â??He knew me,â? she said, her voice muffled by the bartop. â??He knew my old name. He was not expecting to see me, and yet he knew me.â? She looked up over her forearms. â??I said he is yāoguà i. Not an imitation. Yāoguà i .â? Glancing to Karl, she indicated the second quart with her head and peered at him as if she thought he was dense. And then Gavrie drifted down through the ceiling with a casual â??Whatâ??d I miss?â? right as Alex and Phaidra tumbled, panting and white-faced, through the apartmentâ??s front door. Isen belched.

 18. I have this terrible tendency, when I play either of my GBA Fire Emblem games, to abuse the three Arena maps and max out units long before I technically should. This tends to push my play time through the roof, since I tend to repeatedly make a mistake and let someone die, at which point I am compelled to restart the chapter and do the whole blamed thing over again, which usually ends up being six minutes of the actual map and four-to-five hours of sitting in the arena level-grinding one turn at a time. The added silliness is that the ensuing maps become pathetically easy if I keep my high-level units out. What I did previously to compensate was to use every unit I had, so that I could bench most of the god-units and still retain some modicum of challenge to the map, but since I'm focusing on a core group of units now and leaving others out of the mix, it gets a little hard to find combinations of unmaxed or unpromoted units which which I can still actually beat the individual maps. For instance, I'm on what's usually my axe- and mage-heavy map right now, what with the sheer plethora of flying tanks-with-lances and puny little annoying light-magic monks bombarding me. But I've only got two axes I can field because my third is maxed and waiting for a promotion item and my fourth is sitting abandoned at the bottom of my lineup and would be decimated immediately. (Which, come to think of it, would eliminate the problem of him sitting abandoned at the bottom of my lineup, but I DON'T LOSE UNITS so that's a sticky wicket, eh wot.) Add to that my only other lances I can field are two fragile pegasus knights and one lone weird cavalier who has a defense stat like a frikkin' armor-knight (probably the reason they introduced Great Knights in FE8). I'd field either my actual armor knight or my on-reserve paladin (not Marcus; screw him) but BAHAHA it's an arena map!, and I need to train the two pegasi, my second archer, my PIRATE, my axe-lord, and my second healer so I can promote or bench them and free up spots for the soon-to-be incoming alternate units like my wyvern knight and my only mounted archer. The issue would be a lot less complex if I wasn't worrying about all the hard-to-get support conversations, like with units who only show up conditionally; i.e., for two chapters, the map you get depends on comparison of the sum of the levels of your physical units versus the sum of the levels of your magic units. In the first of these chapters, the extra unit you can recruit depends on the map itself, but in the second one the unit depends on both the map and the choice of progression you made on that mapâ??like, if you kill so many of a specific kind of enemy or if you open so many doors, you get this guy, but if you avoid doing ... whichever it happens to be, depending on the map, you get that guy. It's all very unimportant. =P

 20. People who say 'libary'. People who talk to hear themselves talk; people who talk just to get someone else to say something so they can talk more. People who ***** at their grandparents. People who are willfully and knowingly stupid â?? notably, men who act 'gay' so women will talk to them (whether or not they're actually gay, a factor which I find mostly irrelevant), or women who have decided that having a brain is a bad thing. People act like horse's butts just to prove that they're 'mature enough' to act like a horse's butt. Sort of counter-intuitive (and counter-productive), you know. People who don't teach their children any flippin' respect whatsoever and then act offended when their kid is disrespectful. I notice a common theme, here.
