1.
Wait, facial hair is gay now? I guess Action Hank must be really gay....[/SIZE']
There are a few things I could think of to respond back with. Only hitch is this is the internet so it's easier for me to think of ways to be a jerk, whereas I'd probably just ignore it myself, so I'll shove them in a corner.
 2.
Oh, come on, now. You can't honestly tell me you wouldn't do the same thing, trained Marine or not. :p 'cause, regardless of the story, Pandora was friggin' pretty.[/SIZE']
You have a great point except for the trained marine part. There's this little thing called 'chain of command' that the armed forces sort of behavior-modifies into you, and you don't get far if you just wander off of an assigned post. They could station you on the prettiest beach on Hawaii, and if they tell you to guard a rock you guard that damned rock.
 3. Erm. Two notes. 1)
I don't think it necessarily has to "mean" something to be worthwhile. There are plenty of things in life you could describe that way, after all.
The former is possibly the most contradictory statement I've ever seen. The latter is possibly the most useless. 2)
In terms of dating, I think both you and Sara are right. Sara's describing the human side of it and you're almost describing the sociological side of it....
We'd better both be right. The human side of it is the sociological side of it. Compliments to Ace for being stalwart, even if doing so surprised him. :p
 4. If it means nothing then what's the point? As in, if it means nothing then it's just for fun, in which case it's only a glorified version of Pretend House we used to play as four year olds. And given the amount of social drama it inevitably spawns, I'm fairly certain it's not just for fun. Also, monocle: O_ರೃ
 5.
Except I'm not looking for love right now. I'm looking for someone to date.
This concept makes no sense.
I never saw the point in relationships because I was not interested in intimate acts like kissing or greater, and because I felt it was impossible to find the one person you could be with forever when you're only 15, 16, 17 years old.
It isn't. However, mostly the reason such things are sought after is exemplified above.
 6.
I honestly don't know, but there just seems to be.:animeswea
Because half of the rest of them "have one" (whatever that means) and it kinda-but-not-really seems like you're left out? Meh. Make y'own time.
 7.
But it's very hard trying to get into a relationship when you're a lesbian in a fairly conservative high schoo[/U']l.
Why the rush?
 8.
Life was fantastic today.

SUPER DUPER FRUSTRATED WITH A BEAR TRAP ON TOP RIGHT NOW. I wish the week would just end already so I could sleep in...:animesigh
Hunh.
 9. Either way you look at it, it's a pretty flaccid outlook.
 10. Word to future teachers: unless your desire is to be a dick teacher?that teacher?send an email to your freaking class when you change the time of the final exam.
 11.
But, for some reason, I just can't see you not liking the rain...
I love rain. It's such a beautiful sound?even the cars driving on wet roads?and I love lightning. I just hate being rained on.
Probably because I love rain. I deny umbrellas. Poo on you, umbrellas! One last day of class. Then finals. Oh joy.
I suspect you have been avoiding AIM for a while. For shame.
 12. Incidentally, the previous global climate fad among dogmatic scientists was global cooling, and when that data was shown not to line totally with it, it was shifted to a warming process that brought on an ice age. Global warming is mostly just the younger dogmatic scientists forgetting (or not knowing) that the older ones were pointing the other way. I love research. But I hate being rained on.

 14.
Thunderstorms!
Yes. Until they bring tornados and four-foot standing-water floods on I-40.
 15. How can we dance when our earth is turning? How can we sleep when our beds are burning?
 16. I have a longstanding grudge against this sort of topic, and it stems mostly from the term used to define it. Essentially, it irritates me to no small degree that the verb "drink" automatically assumes alcoholic content. I blame Ireland. What bothers me much more, though, is the added implication that consuming alcohol means being intoxicated; or, "drinking" means you get drunk. There is no such mandate. Nor is alcohol in and of itself something evil or immoral. It is an inanimate beverage, just like tea or soda. Therefore I request a topic clarification. Is this thread about when you might chance to drink alcohol at all, whether it be socially or with a specific meal or for a nightcap (if anyone still uses them)? Or is this thread about what makes you want to get wasted?
 17.
I understand that people drink when they are sad - the same way that people can over-eat when they are sad - but I was originally thinking about other things that might make you want to drink. A celebration, for example.
I appreciate your efforts to rescue this thread.
I will never consume any alcoholic beverage. I have seen what it can do to people and it disgusts me.
This is like saying you'll never get married because you have seen so many marriages end in divorce.
 18.
So no one else is allowed to make some amount of sense every once in awhile? :p[/SIZE']
No one else is allowed to be me making sense.
 19.
Allamorph, your signature right now is just perfect for you! XD
I'd be a tad concerned if it was perfect for anyone else.
 20. You know "Senior Prom" has lost all meaning when freshmen are taking other freshmen as dates. Also ∫cos(t-v)sin(v)dv is stupid. And that's coming from someone who knows how to evaluate the damn thing.
 21.
It was so easy to level up my Pokemon with the pokewalker when I was in NYC taking about 17,000 steps or so a day...
WHAT 17000??? Also known colloquially as, you know, walking.
 22. So you're the guy who's been baking the small one cakes! Also my internet speeds are back up to non-suckage finally. With the timeout added in, I'm getting five rapidshare files every two hours. I love leaving for class and coming back to be greeted by more stuff and a computer that's still running. (^_^)
 23. That looks suspiciously like a yaoi paddle.
 24. I think the best solution to the problem is to open the Who's Online pane in another tab while you work. Since this page constantly refreshes itself, it'll also continuously reset your idle timer and will keep you logged in while you type lengthy posts.
 25.
Today my stalker surprised me with something. He fracking baked me a cake. How do I tell a guy that really annoys me to leave me the heck alone when he's MADE ME A CAKE?!:animecry:
A) Give it back. B) Stop calling him a stalker. Stalkers don't give out cakes. They take information and lurk in bushes hoping to see you undress by the window.
