1. Oh, I dunno, I feel he's got a right to ask.... Although I second your solution. Sorry, munch, that's just the way we do things here.
 2.
"Let" implies that one would have a choice in the matter.
You do. Either you let him lead or he roundhouse-kicks you in the face.
 3.
On an unrelated note, I am currently bleeding for reasons I don't fully understand.
Sure it's un-related? :animenose
 4. I kinda figured you were hoping they'd help cure that.
 5.
Well, what were you expecting? :therock:
Probably 40 virgins.
 6. It's also not like he isn't barred from having idle conversations with people between important events, dear Boo. Whether or not they leak it isn't really his problem. It is his concern, given his station, but those are two issues that are difficult to distinguish.
 7.
Size 1 = The original cool style. ;)
Old busted hotness.
 8. I call 'em 'critters'. Edit: Also, Indi, both Roselia and Froslass are from the wrong generations. For an alternate to Roselia I might suggest the Bulbasaur, Oddish, or Bellsprout families (or also Chikorita if you don't mind losing the Poison-type so much) at whichever evolution you think'll work, but not really sure on Froslass's style (and I'm kinda sure you don't want Jynx :p) so Kei or Raiha or whoever might be better able to tell you.
 9.
In there, it's a league regulation based on how much attention a single trainer can give a group of monsters.
We'll be touching on this later in the game.
 10. Considering a) I'm the OP and b) I'm the co-leader,I figure I'm allowed a double-post to update info, since I can't very well do a delete-repost bump. :animesmil For anyone who wants more resources, here are two very useful assistants for those people (like me) who have at best a casual understanding of this universe. Also a quick reminder, whether or not anything is "cleared", both Kei and I reserve the right to summarily reject any and all sign-ups for Sympathisers at our own discretion. Not to sound, you know, control-freakish about it, but it's not going to be an easy side to play, so we'll be looking for first if those characters fit the role and second if they'll be able to survive for long. And one or two other criteria which shall remain undisclosed. Barring any unexpected turns of events, we will most likely start Monday.

 12. Going to go ahead and put mine up. Imp, expect a PM from me shortly. - - - - - - Name: Saul Teschler Age: 29 Gender: Male Appearance: Saul; well-kept, wears mostly polos and button-downs, khakis, and comfortable shoes; has a utility belt on which he stores small, easy-to-access tools and equipment. Allegiance: Protestor (neutral at present) Status: Former gym member under Blue (Viridian Gym) Bio: Though a typical bright-eyed trainer kid at first, Saul never became enamored with any one specific type or breed of Pokémon. Instead his interests drifted towards functionality and versatility, especially in non-standard battles such as pairs or one versus three. Saul joined the Viridian gym shortly after Red drove Giovanni from it and spent several years as a respected subordinate of Blue. He has been retired for some time now, and currently supports himself as a field journalist for several distinguished Pokémon publications. Personality: Perceptive and personable, with a reserved wit. Saul makes friends fast and earns respect easily with his sound and balanced assessments of situations. He also relies significantly on input from his Pokémon; two and three sets of eyes are better than one, to his mind. Primary Pokémon: Ninetales (starter); Blastoise; Raichu; Persian; Pidgeotto.
NOTE: this list reflects Saul?s mainstays during his time as a young trainer. Under Blue he often rotated out his Persian for a Nidorino, and occasionally his Pikachu (before Blue gave him a Thunderstone) for a Scyther. However, he does not believe in locking in to one particular list, and has avoided the tournament for years.

 13. It's about time we had a repository for all the weirdass news that happens around the country/world/whatever you live on. So here it is. The Shallow End of the Gene Pool, for us all to laugh and groan and "....what in the blue freaking blazes" at. First up: I don't even know. Like, okay. You sure get weird points for location. I mean, you're making love in a dumpster. In a fracking, honest-to-God, back-alley dumpster, of all places. But then you get robbed?? BY OLD PEOPLE Like . . . there are no words.

 15. I apoligise for the inconvenience, but it seems I forgot to include a clause in the sign-up sheet when I sent it to my counterpart. Each character's primary (and almost certainly other) Pokémon should be restricted to the continental region (i.e. Johto and Kanto) given the current political situation and other logistics which would be rather tedious to get into at present. [strike]This means that so far, Buziel, Milotic, and Grotle will need to be replaced.[/strike] There may be third-generation Pokémon appearing from time to time for purposes of the story—in the interests of openness I will go ahead and say that my character, who left on a trip for Hoenn some time before the current tensions arose and has just recently returned, will have one or more from that region—but other than that, I ask that the later generations be avoided. Korey, if you have any questions concerning Milotic, please PM me or Kei. Other than that, so far so good.
 16. Deeper Just after dusk, a dark-haired man was reclining in a posh office chair in a building across the continent, distracting himself from his studies with sights of the evening city stories below. The river of red and white from the freeway stretched across the entirety of his windows, and the surrounding buildings had begun their nightly light show. The scene never ceased to hold his attention. He could watch it idly every evening, and often did so when required to spend long hours alone, much like tonight. Its continuous flow was subtly mesmerising, and the illusion of constancy it generated let hours pass unnoticed. It cleared his head like no sleep could ever hope to do. He sipped idly at a tumbler of amber liquid and gazed down a row of busy intersections, noting the delicate timing that kept the flow steady in all directions and reflecting on the changes time had brought to the world he had known for so long. Such a setting would have been unthinkable centuries agoâ??and just so, such work as he was doing now would scarcely have had any results in his masterâ??s old era. But time had changed his enemy, too, and they no longer held themselves so distant from their charges. A few of his opponents he knew already. Or knew of, to be more precise; his master had a long memory for even the smallest of slights, and to warriors of such renown he had dedicated personal artifacts to be ceremoniously destroyed when he was certain that justice had come to them. But the others among them were new to him, younglings fortunate to be sheltered by their companionsâ?? presence and skills. It was these who interested him, and so he worked this evening, gathering all of his resources to learn what he might of his prey. A sound from the computer on the mahogany desk behind him attracted his attention. He swiveled around for a passing glance, then sat forward and stroked his chin. â??Hmm.â? He studied the images on the screen for a few long moments, convincing himself of the results. A result so close to the initial query was startling; he hadnâ??t expected an easy catch. Curious, he entered a series of keystrokes into the computer and leaned back, watching the information begin to assemble. His master would be pleased.
 17.
Let me tell you, the most helpess I've ever felt was when I was at work and the lady leaves a message on my phone. When I go to check it, all it says is "Korey, I got hit by a semi." Try dealing with that in a calm manner.[/FONT'].
At that point I'd probably have about four seconds of my stomach dropping through my shoes, followed by an immediate crusade to find out her location and be there ninety minutes ago. And heaven help anyone who got in my way.
 18. I am very cheerfully getting over a random bout of sinus funk that kept me up half the night last night.

 20. And now I'm just spamming to see how cool my font looks.
 21.
Or a reflection/snapshot of the current status of that something which is a bit more... longstanding. =P
....what??
 22.
And speaking of obvious... I'd say your own avi is that as well. Considering what got posted in the theater section in the last week. =P
Uh . . . yeah, sure, I guess. Or it could be, you know, a continuation of something a bit more longstanding....
 23.
Hit the nail on the head there Rach.
And here I was going to say obvious reference is obvious, all things considered. :p
