1. Okay. For those illiterate in A.A. Milne, this means "Back Soon". (Backson.)
 2. I grin at you. I'm actually kind of intrigued by the next one, honestly.
 3.
(and if that socially inept teenager was, in fact, me, then I'm honored to die in the same post as him), and now I am only wondering what the hell happened to my arms XD
Oh, put a sock in it, ya self-absorbed lolicon. Jays. *rolls eyes*
 4. I think VG Cats is epic win.
 5. Guess what?!! Dennis Rodman is confirmed for Brawl!! :p
 6.
But heed my warning, it contains spoilers for returning characters. ;)[/COLOR']
Eh, okay. Sure. Wait. Is that....? Please tell me this video is legit.
 7. Tactics, on the Sci-Fi block. It is . . . . very odd. Verdict on Noein later. Edit: Oh, right. I remember now why I decided not to watch Noein. The main supporting character is a numbskull who refuses to think. I forgot.
 8.
10 px would ruin the simplicity? ó_Ò?
You forget the compounding factor. Ten, and ten more, and ten more....... It rounds easily up to large numbers. Plus, again, we just increased the dimensions a short while ago, so I doubt another one will come this quickly. And yes, I get what you're talking about, but that just seems too much distracting, unnecessary information. Yes, granted, it's constantly updating, but still. I like looking at the artistic talents more than a noisy statbox. (Not to mention a statbox which I feel serves no purpose.)
 9.
Also, as kind as you may see yourselves as being for having allowed as much as 550x120, I think that's a waaaay small number, and would increase it more than 10 if it were me. But it's not, and I don't care. I just feel strongly that the A-P's signatures are a special circumstance that should be considered. As far as I know the A-P's signatures are the only updating statistics signature that truly relate to Otaku Boards.
Easy there, man. :animesmil Aye, and we just got through with a whole debate on this angle not, what, two months ago? Anyway, as I understand it now, the site will not support more than one image per signature, so line breaks aside I doubt you'll be able to do much about that; and calling the staff on the edit/delete/ban card is kinda foolhardy, neh? Now, granted, there are no restrictions on total height, meaning one can fill space with as much (or little) text as they please. (I.e., Tetra of Sound. Or mine.) So I can understand then how a restriction on banner height might be considered unreasonably stringent. At the same time, though, I see no reason to balk at the current rules. And then also, I see no purpose in keeping a tally of what I have or have not seen/read. It sure as heck ain't a status indicator. 'Cept maybe for Dagger.....
 10.
Officially seconded. Sorry DB, but after nominating Mom, you deserve it.
Actually, I've got a few thoughts of my own to that end....
 11. Hmm. I am somewhat partial to freeze-motion endings. It's like ending a piece of music on a chord of pure dissonance; it wants to resolve so badly, and it's just left there. The tension makes me shiver. (Such an exquisite feeling, and so many people can't stand it....) *cough* Aaanyway. I just so happen to have a couple of questions to ask. First: certainly this is a . . . nice opportunity you have gifted us with, Raiha; but I can't help but wonder, who do you wish to see killed in nasty ways? Surely you are not sitting atop the thread without thoughts of your own targets, of whom you might wish to have heads smashed in and hearts cut out and livers removed and bowels unplugged and nostrils ripped and bottoms burnt up and.... *wanders away singing "Brave Sir Robin"*
 12.
That's alright then, i used Roy far more than Marth anyway, i thought the fire was a cool addition to all his hits. My friend enjoyed using Marth in black and calling himself zoro xD[/color']
I use Roy when heavy hitters are in play. His Counter is brutal if it's got enough force striking it. It does mean I have to get closer than with Marth, though. But if I can counter a Samus charge shot right as someone else is dodging, then it is well worth it. And I can KO Ganondorf at 0% if he's stupid. :animesmil I also use Roy for speed training. I figure if I can beat someone up decently as the slower guy, I can wail on them with Mr. Finesse. (Especially when I get the Bunny Hood. Marth spam!!) But yeah, Ike is no replacement for either. Looks like a totally different feel. Still heavy on the aerials, but a lot more lead-in time. I want to see his Eruption in action.
 13.
"UPUP DOWNDOWN LEFTRIGHT LEFTRIGHT BA START" Ten points if you get that one.
Took me a second, but yeah. :D Try this one: L+Down; R+C-Right; R+C-Up; L+Right; R+C-Down; R+C-Up; L+Right; R+Down; L+Left; L+R+C-Right Now try it memorized in under three seconds. Screw up and you'll need an epitaph. :P
 14. Ye gods, woman, leave him the frill alone. Ya, man, that one ain't worth your time. Just ignore it and go do your thing. :animesmil
 15. Excellent. 'Cept for that last line. It made no sense whatsoever. But that's okay. :D
 16.
By all means if you guys want to take the idea a step further and flesh it out, be my guests. I'm stepping down like I mentioned a post ago. I have a lot of learning to do if I'm to get anything across properly so I'll busy myself doing that before I make any attempts at starting an RP.
My turn. *THWACK* Right, so a few people misunderstood your post. Big deal, man. You expressed an idea, and after things got sane again some other guys said "go for it". And now what do you do? Right after I get through bloody defending you, what do you do? You up and throw the "I'm obviously not worthy" card. Excuse me while I overreact. Look, people are gonna say ugly things, and people are gonna get reactionary, sometimes for no good reason at all. If you can't deal with it?if you don't learn to realize that sometimes people screw up?then you're probably going to spend the rest of your bloody life backing up like this. Get a grip and cancel the pity party. Here's the gist of the advice so far. You wanna make this satirical game? Go ahead and build it, come back when it's close, and try and sell that. That's what Sandy and Shy did with Almagest (unless I'm so utterly pissed off right now that I can't remember Jack Bupkus, let alone seeing straight); interest-gaging threads don't usually garner much interest, oddly enough, but concept presentation threads do. Go. Make. Bring back. See what happens. I'd like to believe you have a spine.
 17.
Kirby's final smash looks cheap as hell. But then, if they kept his move set the same as in SSBM (which it looks like they mostly did), I guess he needed something[/i'] to make him not suck so bad.
I heard that Kirby got KO'd right after using his Final during some demo-testing; apparently, the items that popped out were all Starman, and his opponents were all rendered invincible when they got loose again. It seems to be more effective when used higher up, since the pot appeared right beside Kirby when he activated his Final. I mean, Mario was KO'd off the ceiling almost instantly. Anyway, Ike does look like an interesting variation on the Fire Emblem crew. He still has Counter, which makes him useful to me, and I really want to know what Quick Draw is. And yeah, my gosh are his initiations slow. His aerials look nasty. Sonic's homing spin looks devilish. I like. I also like the sheer speed of Zero Suit Samus; apparently her Final allows her to regain her power suit?? I wish they'd shown some Meta Knight.
 18. Wasn't really sure whether to reply here or not. I can't say much other than I am sorry he's dead and he was a good actor; that's already been covered, so I feel kinda out of place. Shame about the circumstances, though. And I'm not going to say anything about Westboro. I made my views clear on them elsewhere.
 19. Wow. This has got to be biggest, most blatant case of mass over-reaction I have ever seen. Good job, guys. So let's try this again.
So I was reading through a few of the current and past RP's, and well while some of them are top quality reads [in between playing Harvest Moon - I'm that hardcore - and working two jobs, the only RP time I get here is the reading time], others are becoming more and more lacklustre, and some of the more common roleplayers surface with each large-scale RPG that is run. Not to point the finger or make out that there's a problem here, but it's almost like I've seen the same group of players in all the big ones every time a big one hits.[/SIZE']
Well, yeah, and that basically boils down to skill as a writer. I could go on and on about factors in playing, lasting power, and even signing up, but I think I'll let the other members speak for themselves. (Since they seem to have forgotten. :p) I think you'll find the stuff in there rather enlightening. Granted, it is mostly the same echelon responding that go for the "large-scale", but it still retains its usefulness, I think. In simpler words: birds of a feather.... Moving to the actual material....
Of course if you're referring to the multitude of RPs plaguing the boards right now that are made of failure and lame, then perhaps you have a point.[/FONT']
He was. Not in so many words; but yes, that was his target demographics. Thank you, come again. The explanation for what you noticed, Satori, is pretty simple. You're looking at people who are essentially playing as themselves, but injected with a good portion of how they imagine themselves to be. (I fall into that category myself, actually, but mostly because I never see anyone else using characters with extremely odd dispositions.) In most of those situations, the RPs' content is rather gratuitous ? or rather, what the players really want to have happen, but most likely would not actually happen were the situation as "true-to-life" as it could be. And the others have a point there: the players are having fun doing what they're doing. So you noticed that certain characteristics of the "failed" RPs tend to be markédly similar. I'm sure you also notice that these same RPs tend to crop up faster than most of the "good" ones, which would account for the way they outnumber the failed "good" games as well. So really, then, it might not be that the story/content just doesn't work, but that sheer volume has affected your observation.
If you don't like the RPGs being written on OB make your own.[/I'] Duh.
That's what he was suggesting. Well, not the dislike part, but you get my meaning. As for your concept: satirically, it might be fun, but there's only certain types of ridiculousness that I can tolerate for long periods of time, and playacting as a savant seven-year-old is probably going to turn out to not be on that list. I know you want to take what you see as a really bad idea and see if good players can make it work, just for the sheer hell of it, but I'm probably not going to be one of them. (Really, I can't see that story going places, is all. Too much god-mod, imo.) But yeah. As you can plainly see, you might want to watch how you word things around here. Bad things tend to happen. (I feel like I'm forgetting to address something. We'll see.)
 20. I don't bother with lol because it doesn't even feel like laughing. I do occasionally use lolwut ? a partially stupid laugh made in embarrassed or utter confusion. Rofl I use because it feels funny when said. Plus, I like the idea of roffling. :D (rofflecoptors make me reach for my howitzer. lollerskates earn uzis.)
 21. For the record, I get the unusual feeling that my doppelgänger(s?) is(are?) about to have very bad and horrible things happen to him(them?). Dunno how many of me there are, 'cause I can't tell how many of me have died so far. :p
 22.
And that still doesn't help my problem of being half dead on a street corner.[/FONT']
Perhaps you shouldn't try quite so hard..... Ya. Shutting up. :D
 23.
Okay, so since Eiyaga's last attempts to sooth the beast in her was a big dark gothy failure...[/FONT']
Well, you did mention....
But seriously, tragedy is terrible, even if it lends itself well to the big dark gothy creature known otherwise as Gifts and Curses.
I sense a big dark gothy theme going on here. :animesigh I'd apologize for that one, but part of me isn't sorry at all, and I will not be a liar. Anyway, a coupl'a people already know this, but Andrew and I will (hopefully) be running together until further orders are given or good opportunities are presented. Hopefully that means the two of us'll be a tad more active now, what since we have a combined total of three posts between us thus far. :p This is an interesting mind to be in. Her mettle feels different than I'm used to....
 24. There hadn?t been any particular reason for Adrienne to have ended up in Bruce?s. She?d meandered around the town for about two hours or without noticing where she was or where she was going, and she?d almost passed right by the dive. She?d seen it out of the corner of her eye, though; her mind told her that she hadn?t been there in a while at around the same time her stomach had told her it wanted food, and so she?d interrupted her pointless wandering and gone inside out of the rain. She?d chosen a side booth to commandeer so she could dry out her hastily-grabbed coat and umbrella on the opposite seat while she ate, and when the waitress had come by she?d ordered a chicken sandwich and a Sprite, since it was getting close to dinner. From her seat she could also see the bar?s entrance and most of its interior?an unconscious habit she?d picked up in the junior high cafeteria, because having an entire room full of people behind her while she . . . well, while she did anything, made her nervous for whatever reason. Adie had been about halfway through her sandwich when she?d started to feel very strange. Her appetite vanished, and she sat brooding in her seat, picking at the chips that had come with her food. Even the heavy metal that a recent arrival had turned on couldn?t distract her from the nasty sense of foreboding that had fallen over her. It was a shame, too, because it was good music, if a little on the old side. The feeling had intensified when a small group of people had emerged from the back of the restaurant. Adrienne had only to watch them move from table to table towards her to decide that she did not want to know what or who they were looking for?since they were obviously searching for something. Tossing down a quick tip, she snatched up her things and headed for the counter to take care of her bill. The process was excruciatingly drawn out, and she felt one of the men in the group eyeing her for almost the entire time, which did nothing to alleviate her now nearly unquenchable desire to take off running. Her distraction caused her to fumble her change on the counter, undoubtedly drawing even more attention to herself, and when at last she got her possessions under control she dared not even look in their direction. Once outside, she risked a quick, furtive glance under the edge of her umbrella, hoping against unreasonable hope that they wouldn?t think her actions suspicious and follow. Her heart sank when she saw them moving closer to the door; she barely avoided eye contact with three of the men, and when she stepped forward her panic got the better of her and she almost ran down the sidewalk in the direction of her apartment. -------------------------- Right.
