1. Finished Mirror's Edge a while back. Had a great time, although I felt it was a bit short. Time trails are not really my thing, so I'll probably just play this game again at my own pace when I feel the need to play. I like exploring, although I do appreciate stringing together moves without dropping a beat. Feels good if I can keep it up for long periods of time. I can't wait for a sequel. I also got Dead Space for pretty cheap as well. I don't even like survival horror, but I love this game. Great atmosphere for a game taking place mostly on a space station mining vessel thingy. I like little touches in there: an unique approach to killing enemies, the hub actually being a part of the game universe, rpg-like weapon upgrades (though limited), and that most of the weapons are just futuristic mining tools. I'm winding down near the end, and I'm satisfied with how many freaky moments were littered throughout. Can't wait for the sequel. I know a lot of new games have been just sequels to something previous so publishers can play it safe, but there are some games like these two I would support to see get continued.
2. I finally got my own current gen console with my Xbox 360 I got for Christmas. I also got Gears of War 2 and Mirror's Edge. With Gears, I already had some experience playing at my friend's house online, but never actually got through the single player mode. I'm about halfway through Act 3 right now, but will continue as soon as I get mt copy I accidentally left at my girlfriend's house. I also have to get a controller soon for her, so we can play co-op together. As for Mirror's Edge, I am actually pretty surprised with how much fun I'm having with it. I'm about halfway through, and I'll prob give my final impression later on when I finish.
3. Right now, I think the most important thing you need to do is stay hydrated. If it's stomach flu, you're going to lose a lot of fluids...not getting into that. Generally, I don't think of soda when I think of hydration, but I also heard things like ginger ale can help your stomach. I don't know for sure, but I do know sugar will probably hurt it a lot. You can never go wrong with water. And I'm not 100% sure what medicines to take, sorry about that. I had stomach flu about 4 years ago, and that was about as sick as I ever been. It did kill that weekend I was suppose to hang out with some buddies, so sorry if it does make you pretty sick for a few days. I didn't really eat at all either. After a day and a half of not feeling like eating, I forced myself to eat something small here and there. The worst part was that I had to stay in sight of a bathroom at all times... I've been looking into King Crimson only a little bit lately. I'm also trying to look for more prog rock groups along the lines of the Mars Volta and Muse.

7. I think Donkey Kong Country deserves a honorable mention. I also like Golden Sun's various boss battle music.
I know I'm forgetting a game, I just know it...

8. Currently reading Gantz after finishing watching the anime. I didn't like how the anime ended, and I heard that the manga is ongoing. Behind all the sex and gore, I think there is something kind of interesting about the premise. And hey, I've just noticed that Gantz and the World Ends With You has a lot of similarities. :animesmil
9.
Thats not a 60's Impala.
I believe it's a 1965 (going by the image source. and comparing pics to other 65's) I think you thought I meant 1960. I was going by general decades.:animeswea
10.
I bought a guitar. Just now. I'm in an adventurous mood.
I know the feeling. I was either going to buy a 360 or a drum kit for myself on my birthday. I just went with the drum kit, because I found a nice price and good shape for used. The heads were even recently replaced and already tuned. I can't afford lessons right now, so I'm trying my best to follow some pretty informative free online lessons I found. I wish you luck with your guitar. ...I kinda want BlazBlue right about now though.
11. I miss my maltese poodle. Well behaved and playful, but my mom sold him for the money she needed at the time. We had a small breed dog afterward a little later, but it was too much of a pain to house break, so it also got sold:animedepr. ...I'm buying my own pets when I get the chance.
12. I too was a huge fan of Vipers when I was a little younger. I still really like them, but the look is starting to loose flare to me. Partly because my taste is sifting to the 60's 70's muscle car look. Also the fact that I'm tall, I'm starting to doubt I'll fit comfortably in a lot of fancy small sports cars. As far as Mustangs go, I was always a fan of the early 60's models, particularly the '64, because I like how those models' rear windshield part doesn't stretch or mold to the end of the trunk. I'm also a fan of the early 60's Impalas. 13.
I think i've become a creature of the night. Sleep in till noon, stay up till 4 am.
I just hate mornings. well before I started working again, I was staying up till 5 a.m. and waking sometime from noon to 1p.m. The sad part was that I had to still use an alarm clock to wake up at that time. I think I'm doing a little better now going to bed from 2-3 a.m. and up at 9 for work.
14. I?m currently playing Oddworld: Stranger?s Wrath were you play a mysterious looking bounty hunter just trying to survive. This happens to be the only Oddworld game I?ve ever played. I?m think I?m a little over half way through this game; judging how the story is twisting and turning. I guess my favorite part of this game has to be the main character Stranger. He has a slow old west style of speech, which can deliver some funny and badass lines. My next favorite part of the game is your only weapon, a doubled tracked crossbow that only fires live critters with unique abilities. I just finished Phantom Dust about a month ago. I still like the battle system, but I really like the overall story, once it all plays out. The later part of the game was kind of thought provoking in my opinion.
15. Yay, it looks like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to the states. Now that I really think about it, it seems there are a lot of new promising fighters coming out very soon. One, which I?m really looking forward to, is Blazblue, after seeing more footage of it. Another game I?m kind of looking forward to is Beyond Good and Evil 2. I haven?t played the first one, but I?m familiar with. It seems like a cult-hit kind of game I?ve been enjoying lately. Overall, this new game looks exciting.
16. Holy crap, I just killed the biggest centipede I've ever seen in my basement. It was thick, meaty, and the body was a little longer than a hotwheel. It took two hits with a shoe to bring it down. Now I'm a bit uneasy since I always sleep in my basement and that it sometimes feels like something is crawling on my feet when nothing is there. Well there went my nights rest.
17.
Just remembered I had this book marked. http://smouch.net/lol/
Now I know why I got Noscript and Firefox:animesmil
18. It's really that bad? I've never really paid attention to the competitive scene. Kinda reminds me of a story where a man was beat down and mugged for his items when he was at a lan MMO event. Sad really. My only experience with an online fighter was with Soul Caliber 4 while I was at my friends house. Most of my matches where strangely quiet. All I remember was a moan when a guy accidentally slid off the stage. There was a lot of lag most of the time a played with made it practically impossible to block or parry in time. I guess different games can bring different crowds.
19. I think you can just download the game through the XBL Silver account, which I think is free to set up. I've never done it before, but I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft asked for credit card info anyway. You can't play against anyone on it, but I think that is irrelevant to you:animeswea. I guess I didn't take in consideration of all the wonderful cons of online gaming, but at least you still get all the characters from the start and the possibility of extra stuff in the future. I guess I can see this being a con if you wanted to have the experience of earning all of them instead of just receiving an already completed game. I dunno. edit: forgot how to explain paying for the game it self I think there are two ways to pay for the game when it comes out. You can buy Microsoft points from a Best Buy or etc. to get enough points to download the game of XBL. Or, you can just download from XBL which I think will be charged to a credit card used to make the account. Not 100% sure for the second method.
20. I say con your sister. I?m sure some of us here will help you out with that. Playing this online against others is something worth risking your sister?s trust.:animesmil The actual disks of MvC2 might go down in price since news of this release if you are still interested in getting this for your PS2. I?m not an economic genius, so I couldn?t tell you how well Supply and Demand works when digital distribution is in the equation. Downloading is for sure cheaper than buying a disk, and I think only gets cheaper as time passes on. But I would really recommend getting it on XBL or PSN for a few reasons. First of all the characters will be available from the start. Trust me; grinding was an annoying time sink. The biggest reason I say for getting it on XBL or PSN is just for the online play, because after a while I know you are going to want to fight more human opponents. Either way I really hope you get the chance to enjoy this game.
21. Super Mario World + Super Mario All-star?The first game I?ve ever played and enjoyed, and I only just sold it and my Snes about 7 years ago. I liked each game in Super Mario All-stars except for Mario bros 2. The ghost key parts scared me. Each game in the collection had something special that amazed me as a child. From skipping the entire second stage in Mario Bros to the warp zones. Star Road, Special zone and the top secret zone in Super Mario World. And also the warp whistles in Mario bros 3. I was a cheating little scamp back then. But without these games, I probably wouldn?t be gaming either. There was Donkey Kong Country also, but it didn?t quite have the same impact on me. Mega Man X -- Was my first harder game that shaped me to be the first one in my friend circle to beat Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox. Before I sold it along with my Snes, I beat all the starting bosses and probably got about half way through the last part. I never knew why Mega Man just appealed to me so much, but ever game I remember playing always put me at wits end usually not to far into the game. But now, I?m least likely to give up on many things if they seem hard at first Metroid Fusion? My favorite Game boy game of all time. Besides being just a fun game, it taught me the atmosphere is very important for a game to have a great experience. Short game deserves short description. I would put Golden Sun somewhere in this list, But I don?t know what I could say I gained from playing it. Great game though. Soul Caliber 2? The 90?s for me was getting pummeled by every teenage punk in the arcade at every fighter, but the first fighter that I was actually decent at was SC2. I have SC2?s computer a.i. to thank for that, because it seemed like it was self aware of odd game mechanics, such as ducking and parrying grabs. I haven?t played this game in years and I still want to own SC4, but I can only play a next gen console when I?m at my friend?s house and he doesn?t own it.

23. This week I?ve dusted off my old Xbox to ironically play Phantom Dust. I got this game as a gift and, I?m very grateful for getting a fun and unique one. To me, this game feels like a mix of Psychonauts and Unreal tournament with a whole bunch of real-time strategy. Phantom Dust pretty much just comes down to going battle to battle and customizing your powers from a variety of 300. The story is interesting, but as far as I got just seems like excuses why to fight. The combat is simple, yet can demand strategy and careful customizing. There is a card battle like aspect to gaining new powers through booster packs; which leads me to my main complaint. The first few hours of Phantom Dust feel like a series of baby steps until you get to a true representation of the game. Tutorials are nice, but not going into the first section of a game. The art style is pretty good for last gen standards. There are a lot of hit-or-miss clothing styles, pretty effects on all of the magic, and the environments have a nice post apocalyptic feel that are also destructible. Over all, I am having a lot of fun with this game
24. Thank you both for your advice. I still have a few ideas of what I want to write, but am still working to get them across. Looking at more types of poems is a good idea I probably should start right away. I just have a fear of being tempted of using someone else?s work. So, I just feel guilty when I read other people?s poems I guess, but I can get over this pretty easily. Hopefully I will find at least one style or scheme that truly suites me no time soon, or just make one to call my own. I think I have to also get over some of my writing feeling forced to me. So far the only thing new I got is a short poem about a pirate. I?m not completely happy about how it turned out, but I?ll post it anyway. Untitled wine, gin, scotch, and brandy They all will come in handy All of it pillaged and bought For dining time, they are not Oh crap the rum is sandy
25. I need to find a new hobby, and I thought I would give poetry a try. So far I could only write one poem over whatever solid period of time it's been. Like most things I've tried, I'm probably way off in some areas I bluntly missed. So below is my first real attempt at a poem. Criticism and advice is very welcomed. My Desert Through the sands time?s forgot I wonder how it will end Who I am is all I brought What I have I must defend Which way to wander? No clear signs to be read No guide to ponder A path; no beaten thread Many faces and yet barren Never wondered how I?m here What is this place I must lay in? Why do I still sleep in fear? This is my desert, and this is my home No sand, no tundra, but I?m all alone
