1. A friend just sent me a link to this new mini game called Mandolin Warrior for the Jet Li/Jackie Chan film The Forbidden Kingdom. The game's pretty cool-- a lot like Guitar Hero, only the player uses a computer keyboard to control the Mandolin in the game. http://www.forbiddenkingdommovie.com/game.html Definitely worth checking out!
2. In celebration of the release of Naruto:Clash of Ninja Revolution for the Wii and Naruto:Path of the Ninja for the DS, there will be a Naruto Launch Party at he Nintendo World Store in New York's Rockefeller Center Saturday, October 27th. Festivities will include a raffle to win a one of a kind Nintendo DS, gaming stations, collectible card game demonstrations and a professional Ramen Noodle Eating Contest featuring some of the world's most renowned competitive eating athletes in an event sanctioned by Major League Eating. Both games will be released on October 23rd. For more info on the event, visit: http://www.narutonintendogames.com/launch_event.php
3. Hi everyone. Just thought I'd pass along word about this cool mini game i ran across this afternoon. The game is for a new slasher film called Severance, and the object of the game is to "kick" severed heads at a dangling body in the foreground! Pretty cool! You can find it here: http://www.severancefilm.com/Severance_game.html I don't really know too much about the film Severance, but after playing the game, I'm definitely interested in finding out more about it! Anyone else have some info?
4. Just picked up the new Disgaea DVD, and it's pretty cool. Just like in the game, there's a good amount of humor mixed in with the action, but doesn't go overboard. I also love that all the main characters in the game can be found in the anime series (Laharl, Etna, the Prinnys), and they look dead on to their virtual selves found in the games for PS & PS2. I found a trailer for the new DVD here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ED-IbEmTaxI Pretty cool. I'm looking forward to the 2nd volue of this one...does anyone know when it's planned for release?
5. Just picked up the brand new Hellsing Ultimate OVA DVD, and it is very, very cool. Wasn't too sure what to expect after I heard that the show was going to be reanimated to better resemble the Hellsing Manga books, but it looks great: crisp colors, lots more blood, lightning quick animation. On top of that, serveal storylines have been altered and the plot seems much smoother than the original anime series. Great bonus material on the second dics that comes with the limited edition collection. There are several TV spots, an exclusive intervew, and several promo videos. You can watch a trailer for the new Hellsing OVA DVD here: http://www.vsocial.com/index.php?action=2&d=57757 Does anyone know when the second episode is supposed to be released?
Welcome to OtakuBoards sinister5 I am moving your thread to the existing Hellsing thread for the following reason: To avoid confusion we ask that you do not create another thread. Please go ahead and post in the current one no matter how old it is. Before you post any thread, please check the Official Threads Directory to see if there is already a thread on that topic. It is also a good idea to perform a forum search on that subject to make sure another thread does not already exist. Please take a moment to review this sticky on How to Post in Anime Lounge.
