Okay... I must be out of touch here since this is the first time I've heard of this. The full details can be found in the article here: Homeless sex offenders directed to woods I mean, I can understand and I even support the restrictions, but pointing them to the woods for living accommodations, just seems like it's going too far. Especially since this is for people who have done their time and are trying to follow the restrictions. So what do you guys think? There's a poll there which asks: "Should sex offenders be forced to live in tent camps as a last resort?" And the choices are as followes:

No. Authorities need to help sex offenders find housing that complies with the law.
Yes. At least authorities know where to find the sex offenders.
Not sure. Perhaps officials should reconsider the tough sex offender policy.
At the moment, unless other information leads me to think differently, I'm leaning towards the first choice. What about the rest of you?

New Members: Introduce Yourselves Here
Rachmaninoff replied to Charles's topic in General Discussion
Hey there Timber, CaNz and Soji. Welcome to the madness known as OtakuBoards. =P I'm sure you'll enjoy it though since there's plenty around to check out. If any of you have questions, just let us know and we'll help you out. :catgirl: -
I do recall seeing a few episodes of Family Guy that were fun. But I never got into it enough to notice what you all are talking about. It was just me catching an episode here and there, never did see an entire season of it. Sounds like I didn't miss out on anything. =P
My somach seems to be calming down now. Shoot, now I have to go to school.:animeangr
That's usually how it works, you get better just in time for your weekend or time off to be over with.

Go with Allamorph's suggestion, chibi-master. I'm sure they're far more forgiving or rather unconcerned about just how ranty you might get. =P

I'm curious about something Sabrina, when you talk about set spells in your post, I assume it's something that is for a one time use? So if a vampire did enter Lucia's place and the spell attacked, it would have to be reset or recharged? Or would it have multiple uses?

I was about to tell you that you post too much in this thread chibi-master, but then I looked at the list of who's posted and saw that I've got over a hundred posts in here and realized... I'm in the same boat. *headdesks*

I've heard of insane stalkers before, but this had me going... wtf? Police: Pilot used plane to stalk ex-girlfriend The kicker:
Police have arrested a pilot who they say stalked his ex-girlfriend by repeatedly flying his plane low over her house. ... Leftwich says police have been investigating reports of a low-flying plane in the area for more than a year.
Someone obviously doesn't grasp the concept of no, I do not want to date you and get the hell out of my life. o_O
I have a hard head sometimes. :animesigh
Only sometimes? *shot* Anyway, the one thing I'd probably do is tell myself to not sign up for taking on extra work as needed at school. Cause all it turned out to be was senior teachers being lazy and passing off work they didn't want to be bothered with. Not sure if I'd believe myself, as it were, though. XP
Monster[/FONT']
I could definitely agree with picking Monster. It's not often that I care for psychological thrillers, but when they're as well done as this is, then you find yourself wondering why some of the more 'dramariffic' series (which are poorly done) get more attention.

Sorry to hear that Drizzt. I hope she's doing alright.
...who are you talking to?
No one. Just thinking that it's a shame that Swayze died.
There's actually a subtle genius here. It might be intimidating to be held at gunpoint by an old guy, but I imagine it's absolutely mortifying to be held at gunpoint by a naked[/I'] old guy.
I know, it made me laugh, a lot. Pwnd by an old guy, naked no less. lol

My opinion on using a reputation system hasn't changed. If we try it fine, if we don't I'm fine. So makes no difference to me if it's finally given a run.

Just take a gander at Boo's current signature and quote: I, Colossus. Boo's are not to be taken seriously, ever. =P
I think they're all just used to my twisted and sarcastic sense of humor. Either that, or they know that I'll cut their throats while they sleep if they say anything.
And here I just assumed it was on account of your custom title. =P

This just goes to show that one should be careful who they decide to rob. 91-year-old man makes arrest ? in the nude

Every time I read that article, it makes me laugh. :D

Okay, I got unlazy and finally posted. Helped that I finally have a day off this week. I swear, school likes to make sure I have no time for anything at all. XP Anyway, based on basement cat's post, looks like things are gonna start to get interesting. =P

Stopover Alex opened up his cell and looked at his schedule. His next assignment was in an hour. He snapped it shut and got up off the sofa. ?Time to go?? ?Yeah.? He was halfway across the room when he halted and then turned back to head for the door instead. He had told her, more than once, to simply come in if he was around, but Phaidra always knocked first. ?I wonder what she wants.? Nall settled down on his left shoulder. Instead of waiting, Alex opened the door before she could knock. He grinned at the sight of her catering bag as he invited her in. The only time she brought that, was if she had something for him and sure enough, when he turned back after shutting the door, she was getting into the bag. ?You don?t have to do that.? He told her. ?Not that I?m complaining,? He added on hastily at her slight frown. ?I just don?t want to take advantage of your cooking skills.? Phaidra laughed as she pressed the container into his hands. ?If I didn?t want to do it, I wouldn?t.? She assured him with a smile. ?After what happened earlier today, I thought everyone could use a little something.? Alex looked at the container wistfully. ?I think I?ll save this for later, I have an assignment in just a bit.? ?Oh. Is it alright if I stop by later then? I wanted to discuss some stuff with you.? ?I still have some time, if you want to come along, that is.? Alex offered before he motioned for her to follow as he put the food away in the small fridge in his kitchen. ?I could use a walk to clear my head.? He explained as he shut the door and looked back at Phaidra who nodded. It had been a while since the sun had set and in spite of the late hour, the streets were still bustling with traffic. The night air was cool and even over the city lights one could see stars in the night sky. It was peaceful and relaxing. One could almost forget the events that had happened earlier, almost. ?So, what did you want to talk about?? Alex asked once they were heading down the street. He tucked both hands in his pockets. ?If you?re wondering about getting together with the others, the days I can do so will be the same as before.? ?Well that?s one of the things I was going to ask. The other?? She pushed her glasses back with her right hand. ?I was wondering if you know what kind of foods Adrian and Astera like. I tried asking him but he just shrugged it off and said anything was fine.? Nall snickered. ?He would. What did Astera say?? ?Ah? She didn?t really say either, though they took what I brought over.? She paused for a moment as they crossed the street. ?I can?t tell if my visiting bothered them or not either.? ?Heh, I wouldn?t worry about that.? Alex reassured her. ?If he didn?t want you around, he would tell you. Adrian is pretty blunt about stuff like that. In that respect, he?s kind of like Lucia.? Phaidra laughed. Sarvel just swished her tails and said nothing. ?As for food, I?ve seen him eating at one of the little cafés near his place. Every time, he always had something different. I?ve also seen a few things in his fridge. A jar of sliced green olives and another one of dill pickle slices. I think they?re for Astera since she?s the only one I?ve seen get into them.? He thought about it for a moment. ?I do recall seeing some other vegetables, but I don?t remember what. He?s also had some cocktails out when I?ve been over. I believe it was whiskey.? Alex shrugged apologetically. ?I?m afraid that?s all I know.? Alex turned the corner, the building that was his destination was at the end of the street. ?Was there anything else?? Phaidra shook her head. ?No. Thank you, that helps. So what kind of assignment do you have this time?? ?It?s an older woman in her nineties. She?s been sick with pneumonia for a few weeks now. In a bit, the strain will cause her heart to stop.? ?Ah, I see.? Phaidra liked those kinds of assignments the best. Human lives were so short that it almost seemed like a waste to send them on if they were still considered young. ?I?d better get going; I still need to visit the others.? Alex came to a halt. ?Okay, just let me know what day and time you guys finally decide on.? Phaidra smiled. ?I will.? Alex watched her and Sarvel take to the skies before turning back to face the building.
Congratulations, Kanye. You've earned it.
Agreed, the guy's an ***. And coming from Obama of all people, it just seems all the more fitting, in my opinion.

If I find myself drifting, I try to focus on stuff I need to be learning, even if it's not for the class I'm actually in. Doesn't always work, but I do try. Most of the time, the thought of failing is enough to keep me awake. That and the occasional infusion of caffeine as the day goes by.
