1. I would have to say, not yet. I?m not really into crying over shows, real life experiences perhaps, but not made up ones. ;) I do think the shows are well done in how they represent different emotions and people?s responses to them, but not enough to get me emotional as well. Now if you were to ask if anime has made me laugh, that I can definitely say yes to.
 2.
Hey baby, wanna ban all members?
Pick up lines are even more impressive when the person using them actually has the power to do what they suggest. I think the rest of us don't have a chance in regards to that pick up line. ;)
 3. Well I just finished the third dungeon and all I have to say is wow! Not only was the design of the actual dungeon fun to figure out, but the boss battle at this point took on a larger than life aspect. It was easy to figure out, but fun as hell to actually fight. And then the point after the battle where you warp out was quite the plot twist. I mean you know something has to happen but I was rather surprised by what actually did happen. So far this game has been the best at really sucking you in. I keep finding myself playing for hours at a time.
 4. Hmm?and here I was thinking the auto blocking was a great new feature. It never made sense to me before that you target your enemy and yet you still had to holdup your shield for defense. I would have thought that by targeting your enemy you would automatically be on the defensive instead of still being totally open for an enemy attack. So I was pleased to see this change in how the system works.
 5.
You have excellent taste in music hun. ;) And seeing what your user name is I'm not surprised. Rachmaninoff's music is beautiful, even more so in a live performance.
Thank you, I'd have to say the same for you as well. ;) And I'd also have to say I'm envious. I've yet to catch a live performance of anything done by Rachmaninoff. I keep having the bad luck of needing to be elsewhere when there actually is a concert where his music is being performed.
But my absolute favorite Christmas song is actually the Messiah by George Frideric Handel. And out of those I like Hallelujah the best. I positively adore that music and it?s one of the things I miss most since my vision began to trouble me since I often was the organist for various groups when they would perform different parts of this work for Christmas.
How could I forget the Messiah! I've outgrown my religious side, but there's just no mistaking how beautiful that work by Handel really is. I'm rather partial to Hallelujah myself as well. I'm pretty sure I have the entire performance on CD somewhere. I really should go pull it out and listen to it.
 6. I can?t say that I really dream anime so to speak since my dreams are more in the realistic format of how things appear in life. But since I started watching different anime shows earlier this year I have had dreams where characters have been in them, but more along the lines of waking up and thinking that person looked like so and so from this anime show. None of them were behaving in the dream like they do in the show, they merely resembled them, like one I had a few weeks ago where a girl resembled Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket. She had a different name, acted different, looked more real and that?s about it.
 7. I don't suppose you are planning on another entry any time soon? Because this my friend is wickedly funny. And having highlighted several spoilers, well there's just no going back. I want more! ;)
 8.
I was racking my brain trying to think of the good ol days since I didn't really watch a lot of anime when I was younger, but Tale Spin, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Gummy Bears and Chip and Dale's rescue rangers were shows I watched every chance I got. I just loved Darkwing Duck with his I am the terror that flaps in the night and Talespin with Don Karnage and his future victim person sayings. Those were good times I just loved watching those shows. It?s great to see them finally being released on DVD.
And then there's me who until this year never watched anime. ;) But I still have fond memories of the cartoons you have mentioned. Darkwing was just plain awesome and totally fun to watch. Him with his out of control ego and his overactive adopted daughter. Another great one was Pinky and the Brain. I lived for watching that show. The one is a genius the other insane..the whole lyrics and personalities of both mice along with how the plan to take over the world usually fell apart was just too funny. And in a few years I'll look back and consider Fruits Basket the good ol' days as it was the first series I really sat down and watched.
 9. Well I just finished the second dungeon and though the boss fight was pretty easy to figure out the rest of the whole experience was downright fun. I just loved some of the different aspects to that area. If you look at boss fights as a treat then like Charles mentioned, they are great fun. Now I?m starting the third dungeon and some of the parts leading up to that moment were fantastic. I?m sure I?m not the only one who really enjoyed the part where you
fly along the river to not only get to Zora?s domain, but to later track down some of the tears of light.
That was totally fun. I?ve also got three of the special moves and I can?t wait to learn more of them. About my only serious complaint runs along the lack of a fully orchestrated track and some poor sound recordings. Take Midna?s laugh for example it along with the little chime you get when you solve a puzzle have a bit of a tinny sound to them. The way they sound kind of grate on my nerves a bit. Midna?s an adorable addition and I actually don?t mind her giggle, other than the fact that the recording of it just sounds awful. Beyond that I?m still very impressed and completely enjoying the game, though I almost miss the
Twilight look as I loved the surreal look to everything when you were in it.
10.
Would you rather have a sex change? Or.... Would you rather break all the bones in your body?
Break my bones or be a woman..hmmm.. I was in a car accident earlier this year and my right leg was broken in several places. It was pretty damn painful so I'd hate to have that experiance for every single bone in my body. If you have to have them all broken at the same time that is. I'm not sure I'd want to be a woman either. So in the end I'll have to take the broken bones, but since you didn't say they had to happen at the same time I'll spread it out a little. Lets see.... Would you rather fall in love only to realize that the person you care for loves someone else, leaving you to pine after them as they will never feel the same way. Or Would you rather not fall in love and as a result never feel that way towards someone else. You won't have the pain of loving someone who isn't interested, but at the same time you won't get to experiance the feeling at all, ever.
 11.
The original question was only relative because it asked for the answerer's opinion. With my answer, all that is required is that I provide a question where my answer is different from his is different from yours is different from John Doe's is different..., etc., etc., yada yada yada. Make sense? Oh, and DeadSraphim did a fantastic job of providing just such a question. The beauty of the absolute is that it does not depend on one's belief in it. It exist if you (or I) think is does or think it does not.
Ah, in other words like DeadSeraphim's response, which was relative to everyone and therefore not absolute. Or rather the answer would vary depending on who answered it. I guess the does God exist could fall under that category, but the other question is a better example. One that is less likely to spark a debate since others aren't so quick to get upset if someone doesn't think something is delicious where the implication that God doesn't exist tends to get people worked up. ;) Well at least the people where I live that is. I don't know about the rest of you.
 12.
However, absolutely NOTHING can be compared to Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They've remade a lot of Christmas songs into metal masterpieces, such as Carol of the Bells and O Holy Night.
I don't know about that. ;) Though I won't argue that they did a good job in doing the songs, personally I find the metal slant and feel to the songs rather annoying. Though I suppose that's more of a pesonal taste and not an indication of whether or not the music is good. I just know that I don't care for it. And to be honest that applies to most metal music, it's just not my thing. I'm more partial to Mannheim Steamroller as they've done a great job of blending Renaissance-flavored moods and instrumentation (strings, harpsichord, flute, French horn) with a bit of light pop instrumental music thrown in. Other types of Christmas music is tolerable I suppose, but given a chance I'll take Mannheim Steamroller any day over the rest.
 13.
The fact remains; games cost money. You need to spend money to enjoy your games. Its a fact. Its always going to be like that so all I can say is suck it up and stop bashing Sony for being so blunt with their pricing. (Among other things, but all systems have defects.) If anything I applaud Sony for slapping that $600 sticker on the system. At least they're not slapping us in the faces like Xbox and Nintendo with hidden 'fees'[/SIZE']
No one is saying they should hand it out for free. Being a customer isn?t about sucking it up, it?s about making sure you are getting a good deal and plenty of people feel that the price is on the steep side. Don?t let your love of the company blind you to potential price gouging. Or to people having legimate concerns. I honestly don?t know enough about it to know if that price is reasonable. But look at it from my standpoint. I?m a college student who works part time. The price of that console is more than my rent, utilities and food for an entire month. The rest of my money goes to paying for school. I never said systems didn?t have defects either, only that I would rather wait until they are found out especially due to the different nature of the technology of their system. And I?m sure somewhere down the line they are going to nail you with hidden costs, everyone does. Also the thing DeadSeraphim brought up about the backwards issue. Who wants to play their games only to realize they look terrible and all for the lovely price of 600? I?d heard about that but hadn?t seen a video showing it yet. I would have thought they would have taken the time to fix something like that instead of leaving people in the position of still needing a playstation 2 if they want their games to look decent. Pretty poor planning on their part in that area. Why offer backwards compability if it's worse than the previous console? I don't have faith in any company, I've always been the type to wait and see and right now my vision is that Sony has a ways to go before I'd purchase their newest system.
 14. Well it?s kind of hard to lose something that I never had. I?m less than thrilled at the price for their newest system and so I have no immediate plans to get one. But then I feel the same for xbox and the Wii, though since they aren?t so expensive I?m more likely to get them first. Now if they could only have games I like for the system. So far the Wii only has Zelda and since I have a gamecube I already picked it up for that system. The xbox has so far failed to have any game that really interests me. I'm sure they are fun, but none of the really appeal to me. In the end, Sony is not only going to have to come down on the price, but also have a good line up of games I actually want to buy before I even consider getting the system. And they are a long ways away from actually doing that. So I?ll probably stick with my gamecube and playstation2 since both of them have plenty of games I like and other games that I?ve yet to even pick up. More than enough to keep me happy for the next couple of years while I wait for Sony to have better games and a more reasonable starting price. Plus one can hope that by then they will have worked out any of the more serious bugs new generation consoles end up having.
 15.
In other words you're a romantic? Is that it? :p The guy woes the girl by being a sweet lovable person and once they've fallen in love then the more intimate aspect is fun to watch? Because at that point its an expression of their love on a more deeper level than just the physical one? If that's what you are saying I agree. Not that sex isn't important, but if you don't have love or attachment, then the relationship ends up being pretty shallow. At least that's what I think. And that applies to all types of relationships, not just those that are straight in my opinion. ^_~
If that's what being a romantic is then I have to say yes. I like more revealing shows or more graphic details, but when it comes to love, well I prefer the more subtle than the more obvious expression of sex. If you've seen the movie Everafter then you'll understand what I mean. The way the relationship between the prince and the girl was done, was excellent and never went beyond a simple kiss in the show. ;) The other stuff is just for fun, not when I'm in the mood to watch something that I want to have happen in my own life with a special someone. There will be plenty of time for the more physical aspect of the relationship once you?ve fallen in love and I?m of the opinion that it makes it all the more special or rather enjoyable because at that point your emotions are tied into the whole experience.
 16.
The thing I like about that question is the phrase "do you think", which can be restated as "in your opinion". In essence, the entire question has been made relative to one's own point of view. From my angle, the two possible anwers ('maybe' doesn't count, as it's not absolute) enter one into a logical paradox as long as one thinks only of this question. My answer:
Yes, but it's not this one.

Ok, then which one is it? Later.
Actually if the original question is relative to one's own point of view, he can't answer that and tell you what the question is as it has to be one that would be relative to your point of view and not his. Unless I misunderstand Allamorph's explanation. In the end, I don't really believe in absolutes and it ties into what The13thMan was saying in regards to religion. If you believe then there are absolutes, but at the same time I'm thinking that our belief or non-belief in God is in itself a non-absolute question since in the end we lack the means to prove it. So that in itself is an non absolute question from my point of view because I don?t think anyone can say absolutely that God exists.
 17.
You realize abruptly that you aren't in Kansas anymore ? rather, you seem to be in a peculiar room with tile on every wall, the ceiling (which is about twice as high as normal), and the floor. You look up to see a window above your head recessed into the wall. -Great, you think, something sadistic is about to happen to me. And naturally you're right; tiles on the walls to your left and right are shattered by spikes shooting out from them, and you notice that, true to the cliché, the walls are also centimeter-ing closer to you. You look around; behind you is an old, worn mop, a glass bottle of grape Crush, and a popgun with six 'shots'. You have a pencil in your pocket. Get Out of It.
One would think that you are almost trying to kill the thread with that scenario. But I?ll give it a try even if my solution wouldn?t work. First of all I pick up the grape soda and the popgun with six shots. Then I toss the soda bottle at the window deliberately hitting the metal strip running down the center. Since the impact also caused the glass to crack I then use the popgun to finish the job and shatter the glass completely. I discard the popgun as it is now out of ammo and pull out the pencil in my pocket. The old mop is the type that is sewn together in multiple layers and I use the pencil to help me pull the head apart and thus double the length of the strands. Then I pick up the bottle of grape crush that fell back to the floor and slam the lid against one of the spikes, I pour the soda all over the mop strands and then take advantage of it being wet to wrap the bottle into some of the strands and then tie it tightly. Then stepping back I swing the mop towards the metal strip in the middle of the remaining window. It takes a few attempts, as it?s awkward to do so when the handle of the mop almost isn?t long enough. Finally I managed to get the string of the mop to whip the bottle around the middle and then to further entangle the bottle in the other side thus temporarily giving me a hold on the metal strip. I pick up the popgun, and quickly ram it into one of the spikes that is approaching far to quickly. I then step on it, ignoring the brush with the other spikes that rip my pants and leave me with shallow but painful cuts, using it along with gripping the mop handle to propel myself upwards. I then use the mop handle to pull myself up just in time to avoid dropping back down when the strands of the mop head snap. I climb though the remains of the window and exit that horrible room to see where I am. Feel free to pick that apart since I?m not sure if it would even work. Now for the next part? You went to bed last night but when you wake up you find that you are now in the middle of what appears to be a classroom at a school, There is a chalkboard a few pieces of chalk and some erasers, all the desks and other items you would normally find are gone. You go to leave via the door only for it to burst into flames. You run back to the window but there is no fire exit and you are three stories up. You turn back to look at the room to see that over in the corner you missed the fact that there is two cans of unopened paint a few brushes and a white piece of canvas about twenty feet long. Get Out of it.
 18.
And buy her mother chocolate.
A nice little bouquet of mixed flowers for her mom to put in a vase works just as good as chocolates. ;) I've done that in the past and it always went over well. Sometimes I?ve done that in addition to a nice little box of chocolates.
 19.
The guy who used the pick up line on me was actually a classmate, and we've talked before... So at the time, I found it very strange for him to use a pick up line, when we were already friends (since the ice was already broken at the time)... But you guys are right, it did break the ice even further. I went up to him and our other classmate after the pick up line, and we had fun talking. The guy had to go to class, so I was left in the library talking to the other classmate. I am now dating him... So the pick up line did work... But not to the user's advantage... :animeswea
Hmm..in that case there was really no need for a cheesy line like that, I would find it strange as well. Kind of like when a girl you know acts all shy and tongue tied around you even though you?ve talked several times before. At that point it?s kind of annoying. That?s kind of funny that you ended up dating the other classmate. I almost pity the other guy as it sounds like he missed out. ;) In the end I really hate using pickup lines, especially when a simple conversation of hi my name is Darren what?s yours? Is pretty easy to start and not that hard to follow up on. From asking about what they like in music, to read, or what they like as far as school goes. It?s always seemed pretty straightforward to me. And when you want to date, the simple one I already mentioned would you like to go to a movie with me is straight and to the point. Sure you're going to have awkward moments if the girl isn't interested in dating, but unlike a pickup line there's no doubt as to what you have in mind.
 20. I like both, the dodging arrows and birds while on horseback while taking them down and the picking them off at a distance is fun too. It?s also fun to roll and dodge the arrows when you are up close.
Nyeh. If they aren't aware of my presence and/or I use the HawkEye I feel like I'm cheating. It just ruins the kill for me. :/[/FONT']
It?s never a cheat to use your tools to your advantage. ;)
 21. Well now that I?m becoming an anime fan, when I was in the bookstore the other day I picked up the first couple of volumes to this series. I had watched the show earlier this year and was curious to see what the difference was. So far I?m glad I saw the anime first, as there are quite a few differences that were not included, but are downright hilarious and fun to read. All the antics with Daisuke
turning into Dark were just too fun.
And all the innuendos they?ve been throwing out there between the various characters crack me up. I can see why they made an animation out of this even if they don?t match, it?s a great story and out of all the shows I?ve seen so far, has the best music. They did a wonderful job of catching the moment with the soundtracks and even the person singing in the opening song manages to catch the English words without sounding extremely bizarre. I can see that I?m going to have to get a copy of the music to this show. Another thing that I?ve enjoyed is the artwork; it?s nicely done and even matches fairly well to what was done with the show. An excellent read that makes me wish I had the money to pick up all the volumes instead of having to wait until I can afford to get a couple more.
 22. As much as I love the simple straightforward boy loves girl and vice versa scenario, I have to admit though creepy it is interesting to see the other types of relationships out there. From the same sex pairings, to the siblings, though the idea of liking one of my own siblings in that manner is rather disturbing and would totally gross me out. Anyway, as for the sex aspect, well to be honest, I do like some obvious sex in relationships, but at the same time I like stories where the love is shown in other ways. Sex is just too easy and in the end comes across as an obvious if not vulgar form of expression. And by vulgar I mean an indication of instead of taking the time to develop the relationship or to show the little gestures and interactions that lead to the characters falling in love, they simply skipped to them doing each other. Or did I misunderstand the nature of the question? Fan service (that is what it?s called right?) is fun and I do enjoy it, but not in the context of showing how people love each other. Unless they've taken the time to build the relationship first.
 23.
I think I'm suffering from paranoia. No one's out to get me, but I keep thinking that I flunked all of my college exams. I'm seriously freaking out. I took a test today. I did swimmingly, I know I did. But the thing is that I keep imagining tht I did horrible. And if this string of exams is less than acceptable, I'm kicked out of college. Then what will I do? This has been my thought process for the past few days.[/COLOR']
So is this something that only happens when you have something big like your tests or is it something that happens to you on a regular basis?
I'm always tense, can't seem to enjoy things, and have an imposing sense of dread, even though I know I did well. I'm starting to think that I'm losing my mind. During my test, I had to look at a bone and tell what it is and what its from (I was right about it being a lumbar vertebrae from a whale.) and I talked to it for fifteen minutes. I'm normally weird in the usual sense. You know, nothing too out of the ordinary, just odd. But now I'm fairly certain I'm going nuts. Aside from the talking to the inanimate object thing, I basically sat there, laughing, for ten minutes during the test...about nothing! Aside from being paranoid, I'm going mad too.
Like I just asked is the tenseness only since you became stressed over the test? Or are you always tense or feeling a sense of dread over something? If not the test then something else? I wouldn?t read too much into talking to a inanimate object, depending on what the conversation was, it?s not unsual for people to sort of talk to themselves when they are trying to remember things. Or rather appear as if they are talking to the object when they are really trying to bring the memory of what things are to the surface.
I guess, all I can do is ask for help. Does anyone know how I can stop freaking out? It would have to be a solution involving just my lonesome, as christmas break is starting and my friends are going home. Thank you for your help and for tolerating the rantings of a madman.[/COLOR']
If in the end your answer is this sort of thing only happens when I?m under a lot of pressure, like final exams then just find something relaxing to do and wait until you get the exam results. And then breathe a sigh of relief when you see that you did as well as you think you did. If you answered I freak out all the time and this is just what I?m upset about right now, then by all means talk to a professional because at this point, none of us are qualified to truly help you.
 24.
Am I being too hard? Sorry... So using the pick up line in a uni assignment (discourse analysis) wasn't a good idea... :animeswea [/COLOR']
It seems that I was not clear enough so I?ll expand on my statement. I don?t necessarily think you were too hard since I wasn?t there to see the whole exchange. I?m kind of new to this online forum thing so I didn?t explain it correctly. I was trying to say that for some guys using pick up lines is a sign of being nervous and not to be irritating or like a few I?ve seen who are arrogant and think they are gods gift to women. So I was trying to say if he was just nervous, don?t be to hard on him for using a pickup line. ;) I?ve got a few guy friends who freeze up when they try to talk to a girl they like and in the end they fall back on some cheesy line. Sometimes the girl can see that they are just nervous and other times they dismiss them due to the pickup line without a second thought. And it?s kind of a shame since they?re pretty nice guys. So does that clear it up?
 25. Things I?m not good at? Good grammar and spelling would be the top of my list. It?s more fun to read than write and even more fun to play music. The other thing, video games that are either racing or fighting. I just get so impatient that I end up quitting instead of trying to figure it out. RPG games like Zelda are fine, but the others?boring. And one other thing?Getting the girl I really want. Seems like I can get dates with pretty much any other girl except her.
