1. Since Ruby felt the magic, I figured that the sea dragons did as well. So you can just guess who the lucky one is when it comes to being pestered to death about what caused it. Especially since they already know that Isen will ignore them and Lucia would just chase them off. =P Beyond that, I'm thinking a tiny chat to discuss developments beyond this paticular moment is a good idea. I have some idea of where we are going, from AIM chats of course, but it probably wouldn't hurt to get together on stuff.
 2. Falling Down ?I know what you?re thinking Alex and you can just stop it already.? Nall huffed as they ghosted into their apartment. ?There?s no way you guys could have known the others would show up like that.? Alex didn?t answer and instead stretched out on the sofa, lacing his hands behind his head before resting it on the small throw pillow. A moment later, Nall had landed on his chest and settled down. ?I?m serious Alex.? ?I?m not thinking about that.? He answered, but Nall didn?t look convinced. ?Nall, I?m worried that they really were toying with us.? Alex looked up at the ceiling. ?We spent all this time getting training and what good did it do us?? He fought to keep the frustration out of his voice and failed. ?I couldn?t manage to hit a single one." ?Alex?? ?Yeah, I know. Getting mad doesn?t help. It?s just annoying as hell to have worked this hard only to fail.? He groaned. ?It feels like I?m right back where I started with the Count.? He fought the urge to get up and smash something. Getting angry would solve nothing. Nathan had been there when he explained that it felt like they were toying with them. Unlike Patrick, he knew Nathan would take his concerns seriously. He forced himself to relax, taking in a deep breath and letting it go. ?So what do you want to do?? ?Nothing. We need to talk to Nathan.? He frowned slightly and looked back at Nall. ?He?s off with that other guy. I'll just wait and talk to him when we meet again for training.? ?What about that recording, don?t you want to work on figuring it out?? ?Not right now. I mean, Lucia already is and Phaidra said she?d check the library when she goes back.? Alex motioned for Nall to move, sitting up once he had. ?I?m still coming up blank on what it means anyway.? He said as Fiero and Terry practically flew into his apartment. Oh lovely. Just what I don?t need, the chatter boxes. He groaned inwardly. Not that he didn't mind visiting with them, he just didn't feel like it at the moment. With a small sigh, he smiled politely at the two sea dragons.
 3. I ran into this the other day: Reminded me of you, Vicky. :p
 4.
What I find hilarious is how they say the kid was apparently rather smart - smart enough to fix a TV - yet he went and drank gasoline anyway, and because of a TV robot thing to boot. Honestly, he couldn't have been that[/i'] smart.
That was the parents though. It also said that they were informed that the kid has a mental disorder. So I imagine that, more than anything, contributed to the problem. I wonder just what that disorder is since the whole thing hyped it up to make it look like some dumb kid copying TV/Movies. Instead of a kid with mental health issues that interfered with his ability to think rationally, which is what the story is really about. That has to be hard on the parents, to realize that their kid has mental issues that lead to this kind of destructive behavior.
 5. Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I don't have anything against hunting, however reading this article here does have me wondering about some parents and why the hell they'd drop their kids off to hunt by themselves. In many states, young kids may hunt alone Upon reading it, I agree with the sentiment that if we don't trust kids to drive at that age, why the hell are we handing them guns they couldn't even purchase on their own and dropping them off to go hunting? Based on what little I know, I'm tentatively in favor of a minimum age requirement for hunters without adult supervision. Unless I read something else that convinces me it's smart for some parent to decide their 14 or even 10 year old is safe with a gun on their own, I can't agree with that at all. What do the rest of you think?
 6.
When I eat, I'm eating healthier...I just try not to eat too much of anything general. And I enjoy exercising 'til I drop!:catgirl:
So long as your actually eating enough. =P Since healthy or not, if you're not getting enough, the problems it can cause are so not worth the hassle.
 7. I'm not hungry, but I do find this article amusing. Hungry? 150-pound cupcake sets record
 8. I'm going to agree with Kenso. Mainly because of the time factor. Sure it's possible that it hurts more, but it certainly doesn't last an entire week. o_O
 9.
Except for strawberry water. That one always tastes like water and strawberry leaves[/I']. Which is worse.
That stuff is just nasty. I cant help but laugh when I see someone drinking it. Tap water is much better. =P
 10. Oh man, even if this was just an error: Visa card surprise: $23,148,855,308,184,500 I'd be freaked to see that on my own card. o_O
 11. The way I see it is even if the thing didn't run, the kid is an idiot; and a very stupid one at that. I'd just be happy to actually have my own car. As for the other stuff people are talking about, I think it would depend. At the very least, I would imagine that none of you torched it where setting an entire building on fire was a possibility, but I could be wrong. =P
 12.
I'm a newbie too...and i feel like a stupid one because i failed to see this thread before making my own about me O_O;;;
No need to worry about that. I just went ahead and moved it over to our thread for introductions. ;) So welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy your stay here. If you ever have questions, just let us know and we'll help you out.
 13.
lol troll'd =)
Des trolls everyone. Yes, even you. I remember when you were a fanboy for an entire week no less. Willingly I might add. =P Oh and Korey, it's always been like that.
 14.
I don't really agree with the banning it at government meetings either, just for the simple fact that they're not spending enough money on the bottled water they drink to really affect much. 20$ on bottled water once a month really isn't anything to worry about, wouldn't even pay to put a sign-up that says "pothole".

You're talking about a state government that is supplying bottled water to all State workers including the government officials. [B']Of course the number is going to be horrendous.
You know, the two things I've bolded, is why it should be banned. If you break it down, it looks harmless, but if you pull back and look at the whole picture, it is horrendous. You've really missed the point on this one here. Nathan already covered it so I'm not going to bother to repeat what he just said.
So as far as banning water in city offices (specifically for town meetings), and you base the price of $3.00 for a 24 pack of nestle's lifewater or whatever it's called (and no I'm not going to go research the specific name) then supplying water is not going to be that big of a deal (of course that's my opinion) and a figure such as $20 isn't as far fetched, sure it would still be a little low but for a small city no its not.
I take it back, I'm going to cover this and simply repeat what Nathan already said. Do. Some. Research. Stop focusing on one aspect and look at the whole picture. What these places do is pay a company to set up water stations, you know the ones with the upside down large bottles for dispensing, which ends up toting a very hefty price tag in the end. The only reason I said meetings is because the article I read said that was where it was mainly consumed. By no means was I only looking at that aspect. If I was, I wouldn't be in favor of them banning it from state offices. I live in a state where the water out of the tap is perfectly fine, so there's no excuse really. Especially when they want to add a $150 tax per semester here, per student, to the budget and yet can't be bothered to trim out wasteful spending.
I still think this is a bit petty. It's bottled water, for Christ's sake. I think over here people only buy it when they're out... I've seriously never heard of people to buy bottled water as opposed to drinking their own tap water.
And I seriously know people who refuse to drink anything but bottled water, even though ours here is fine. I do agree that outright banning is petty. It's only the removal from government offices that I agree with.
 15. I found this paticular article rather interesting. Mainly because it never occurred to me to actually ban something like bottled water. Article can be found here: H2-WHOA! Australian town bans bottled water I can agree with the sentiment of doing away with it for government meetings, after all, our taxes don't need to be paying for them to drink bottled water. But to outright ban the sale of it period? Seems to be going a bit overboard in my opinion. So what do you think? Smart move, or do you think it's an incredibly stupid one?
 16. I was reading this article about how people swipe stuff from the hotel they are staying in and figured, why not find out who here at OB has done that kind of thing. If you're curious about the article itself, here it is: Stealing hotel amenities: right or wrong? So bottom line, are you the type to take stuff when you're on vacation? I can remember taking home stuff that we had opened and still had some in it, since my parents hate to toss things away. I don't recall them ever taking anything else though, but who knows? Do I think it's wrong? I think it depends. If it's shampoo you've already opened, I don't see a problem, but taking it just to do so. Maybe yes, maybe no?
 17. Well all I have to say about this is: Two Men Sought After Stealing ATM Machine From Florida Hotel Lobby That's different. I would have thought something like that would be securely fastened to the floor. Guess not. lol
 18. Welcome to OtakuBoards people. If you need anything, just let us know. And for you Endrance, it's welcome back. Things haven't changed too much while you were off doing other stuff.
 19. Sometimes I wish mosquitoes didn't exist. I must have gotten bitten a dozen times today, in spite of having stuff on that's supposed to keep that from happening. XP
 20. And it's been a month so... we still doing this or what? Cause if we are, I'm still up for it. I've been waiting since I thought we were due for a landmark. If I'm wrong, then some direction on where you want us to go would be nice.
 21.
Whenever the villain has thoroughly beaten down the hero but then lets him go for no reason at all instead of finishing him off. And then, of course, the hero comes back later to defeat the villain and save the day. That's actually been annoying me since before I started watching anime. The Final Fantasy games seem to love doing it.
I forgot about that one, mainly since I see it in games more than I do in anime, mainly cause I don't watch anywhere near as much as you do Des. But when I do encounter it, I feel like banging my head on my desk since it's so clichéd and over done. Oh and everything silpheedpilot just mentioned. That kind of stuff kills a show.
 22.
are you guys having some sort of server problems? I'm trying to access theotaku.com and it keeps on saying that "we'll be back soon" or something of that nature.
Not that I'm aware of. Perhaps they were working on something, either way, everything is working just fine now.
 23. Speaking of odd news stories Beth, here's another one: Students get X-rated surprise in class DVD "Teacher seen having sex in video; district tells parents to destroy the disk." I got a good laugh out of that one. Heh
 24. Haha, nice one Allamorph. But it is FoxNews so I'm not surprised that their headlines are worded like that. More dramatic since it can be misread. Though they're not the only ones to do that. =P
 25.
Also, [spoiler']many Japanese fanarts have beat you to that idea, Rach. :P

I'd be surprised or disappointed, but this is Japan we're talking about. Land of the bizarre and crazzzzzzzy stuffs.
