We had different cats and dogs when I was growing up. But the one I remember the most was a little Schipperke. Mainly because he was problem solving smart and literally got into everything. So he was rather entertaining while we had him. Now I'm in an apartment that doesn't allow pets so I don't have any at the moment.

I just love how my state thinks it's a bright idea to charge residents who leave their trash can out the next day a $750 fine. Not that it affects me any, but it just seems silly really, to get bent out of shape if someone forgets and takes it back in the next day instead of on the same day it's collected.

Manga Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle [Warning: Spoilers]
Rachmaninoff replied to Aya_Fujimiya_42's topic in Otaku Central
Well they haven't gotten back to Fai and the others, but I'm not surprised that the clones, who are now real, are being tied back into the story again. I was kind of wondering if they would be involved like that. Or something along those lines. I just didn't see them meeting again only for their part in the series to be over. Now I hope they don't spend too much time laying out how things happened from that angle. Though I shouldn't worry too much, so far they haven't really done the dragging things out deal in this series. =P -
I am curious about watching SZS, but then that means I need to get around to finishing the rest of it first. I don't know why I didn't. It's a little over the top at times, but still amusing to watch. Oh and interesting title there Shin, what with the little stars and all. Better hope Lady A doesn't see it, she just might whack you. =P
While I understand this feeling - and generally I agree with it - I think there's an important point to make here. If companies like GM are simply allowed to fail, the executives and senior management aren't the ones who suffer - it's the thousands of workers at the bottom and their families.
Oh I know James, and I'm not going to bother to reply to all of your post for the simple reason of, I agree. I'm just kind of feeling a little frustrated with it right now.
Was the entire theO network down for anybody else the last three days?
It has worked for me. However, there has been a few times where all of it was completely down, but it never lasted more than say five minutes.

Yes I know that things like this: Bailed Out Bank of America Sponsors Super Bowl Fun Fest And this: Report: Bailed-out execs used jets for holidays Are not only old news but expected. I honestly had no issues with the concept of a bailout, in theory, if handled correctly it could have done a lot of good. But I find it disgusting that in spite of efforts to curb excessive spending, they just do it anyway. When I point this out to my friends and wonder if letting the government have a go at it would be a good idea, I often hear the counter that letting the government have more control would be no better. I don't really want to try that, but at the same time, I wonder why we even put up with this anymore. Anyway, I find that I'm leaning more towards we should have just let them go bankrupt every time I read stuff on how they use tax money for parties and personal use of company jets.
Though this does gain one possible benefit for less casual gamers. You know how there's always that one level that absolutely no one likes or that one cave that's absolutely full of Zubats or whatever? Yeah, skipping that after the first playthrough is pretty much something I've always wanted to do.
Haha, agreed. Most of the time I prefer to do it myself, but I know I'd be tempted to skip certain spots on a replay.

Why does the idea of Wal-Mart offering something like this: Click Meh! Make me laugh?

Woah, let me see if I'm getting this right. Did Isen just
kill a vampire
with a door? o_O I mean, if she did... LOL
-
I think it's a great idea actually. No one is going to force the gamers to use it. So there's no reason why those who would, should be denied the option just because others think it's cheap.

I'd be more concerned if the President could change something that easily. You'd see the never ending roller coaster of things being totally changed with each election. Sure they do that for some things, but for the most part, it's expected that things take time to be enacted.

And now they're attempting to permanently block the release of the photographs... Appeals court blocks release of detainee photos All because it might incite violence. I'm beginning to think they should just stuff them out there and get it over with, in addition to putting an end to that kind of thing period. But I doubt that will happen.

No really, apparently some people... do hate you. o_O I've always known that we have what's considered hate groups in the US, I just hadn't noticed the news that their activity has gone up. Though I shouldn't be surprised. The full details on that can be found here: Homegrown hate groups increase in number About the only thing I don't completely agree with is the sentiment of blaming it on the recession and our current president on account of him being black. Sure I expect things to influence it, but I also think people who are hung up on racial purity and so forth, will find an excuse to be like that, regardless of how things are going. I haven't really noticed a lot of that here, but to be fair, we don't really have a high racial mix or diversity here. So if we have those groups, they don't really make themselves all that visible. What about the rest of you? What do you think of it?
Uhm...there are[/I'] other places to buy a car, you know... It's not like if GM goes to crap we'll all die in a carless apocalyptic hell pit...
Shhhh, or they'll hear you. And then, you'll doom us all.

The only thing I would ever listen to while studying is classical music. The other types of music are just too distracting. Though a lot of the time, I don't have anything playing. It just depends on what I'm studying/reviewing.

According to the article:
Edward E. Whitacre Jr. built AT&T Inc. into the biggest U.S. provider of telephone service over a 43-year-career.
Doesn't sound like someone who knows nothing about business to me. I'm not thrilled about the government being in charge, but I'm more than willing to sit back and give the guy a chance with it.
-
Congratulations chibi-master, you may now proceed directly to the hell known as High School! Though I actually liked it. o_O Also, I agree Gavin. It's not that we can't be romantic and articulate, its just that like he's said, we've grown up with the constant reminder that a real guy doesn't do that. So it takes time to get around that and even then, it's still not easy. XP
Fortune and all? Or were you not planning on sharing that bit of information?:p
Oh? So you want to know what it says? I still have that part you know. This is what it says btw: "Don't be hasty, prosperity will soon knock on your door." Hasn't worked yet so I guess I could give that back, if you really want.
-
I'd tell you to stop procrastinating chibi-master, but would it actually do any good?

'Noob' could be the millionth English word
Rachmaninoff replied to Gavin's topic in General Discussion
Well there won't be any heads exploding now since it's not n00b. Web 2.0 crowned one millionth English word Oh well, perhaps another time? :p -
Can't take it back, I already ate the cookie. =P Anyway...
Isn't St. Jean Baptist Day when all the vampires come out, wreak havoc and suck your blood? Or maybe that was Britney Spears day.....My bad. [/size']
I think you're on to something there. Seriously. =P
Although I have no idea what I'd be spending it on. Music and books, probably. And big tracts of land.
You forgot to include the numerous cats and large dogs that you'd get. Cause you know you would. =P
