I still say it was odd, the relationship. Allamorph puts it best here:
The only thing that put me off about that relationship is that I'm not a fan of fast relationships. Ever. However, the alternate timeline card does a lot for making up for what I viewed as almost a cater to fanfiction (almost), and there could very well have been something unspoken in the three years at the academy we didn't see. So I'm not going to go ape over it. I'd like to see it develop more emotionally, psychologically, and/or spiritually (if that works in this context), instead of immediate physical gratification, which seems to be the current best-selling dominant trend and really comes off as unthought and James Bond-esque.
It was just an out of nowhere, oh guess what, those two have a thing for each other. Anytime a show skips straight to that without any form of lead up, it comes across as odd to me. =P I'm not so much objecting as I'd like to see more to it than the instant relationship deal.
Also, to actually take cyber harassment as offensive is kind of pathetic. I mean, unless this person is threatening to take your life, or is actually beating you, just grow up and ignore all the bull that someone's giving you.
The only case where I could see that as an issue, is if it's someone in real life that you actually do know. But that falls back on those handy harassment laws that we already have. So I'm not sure what they think this will accomplish when it's really easy to block or ignore people who would attempt to harass you.
-
I'm sure you all remember the deal of a mother who pretended to be someone else on myspace so she could harass some teenager she knew. The allegation is that her actions lead to the kid committing suicide. Now the point of the thread isn't that incident, but rather the law they want to put in place that would punish people who are caught cyberbullying. I cited that incident since it's what got the movement started for this paticular law they want to pass. The article on that can be found here: Cyberbullying Bill Could Ensnare Free Speech Rights The biggest issue I see with this is most states already have laws against harassment, so creating an additional one is overkill. Plus, it sounds like the language of the paticular bill is too broad and would apply to things that aren't cyberbullying. Also, as the article says, you can't really legislate meanness since it's contextual. It's far to easy for someone to take offense when no offense was intended in the first place. So I think it's unnecessary.

So she's saying the CIA mislead them... Here's where I say, tell me something we don't already know. It just looks like more finger pointing in an effort to pin blame elsewhere if you ask me. One of these days, someone will do something and just admit it, therefore sending everyone into shock since they didn't deny it. =P
-
And I had to look that up since I didn't know what you were talking about. I mean... Furbies? That just didn't ring a bell. o_O Though once I saw a picture I recognized it. I never had or wanted one of those things.
-
My question is, would releasing the photos actually do any good. Though why anyone would even take them is beyond me. o_O But unless they're going to be pursuing charges against someone, or using it to help get rid of using interrogation methods that are pretty much torture, I just don't see the point in putting those pictures out there.

I am currently listening to this: The Black Mages - Battle Theme (FFVI) It came up on Pandora, on my classical station. o_O It is interesting and I do like it. But it just seems odd considering the seeds for this paticular station. lol

Okay, so I’ve seen it and in spite of being burned out on the series in general, I was still rather impressed with it. It had just enough to it to keep things grounded in who people were supposed to be, and yet they were different enough to make them memorable in their own rights. And like James said, the lighting throughout the bridge really worked well. I also liked how engineering had a more industrial feel to how it was constructed. It just seemed more fitting somehow. The bit with Spock and
Uhura
did seem a tad odd, but since they didn’t go overboard with it, I didn’t mind it too much. My only regret is that some of the characters like McCoy, Scotty and Sulu; I would have liked to see more of them. Chekov was fun too, the bit where he was struggling to get the
voice recognition to accept him was amusing.
Manga Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle [Warning: Spoilers]
So I've read 220.... ...And CLAMP never ceases to BLOW MY MIND.
I feel like they pretty much said... so you think this is the deal? Think again. o_O
So it seems that Yuuko was actually Clow's special person the entire time and Yuuko is the cause of this crazy cuckoo acid-trip of an advenure. Now, the fact that Clow was so strong that a little wish for her to open her eyes again resulted in her current state is some humdinger of a hax, but due to the fact that Clow has always been dubbed "The Greatest Magician", I'm surprisingly willing to accept that. But part of me is wondering why Fei Wong is still going to such lengths after all these years. Fei Wong and Clow don't really seem to be BFF, so I'm guessing that there might actually be a triangle of sorts there... Which is really awkward to think about. ._.
That was just wtf? A simple thought is all that it took for things to get so messed up? And things turning it into some sort of odd triangle instead is, like you said, awkward. Well if that turns out to be the case.
Anyway, regarding the main characters that have suddenly turned into minor characters, at this point, I don't know what Syaoran will do. The prices have already been paid, so all he has to do is say the word and viola, but... At this point, he may just want to stay a "ghost". I reckon we'll just have to wait and see.[/color']
Yeah, I found that interesting as well, it's almost like they don't even exist at this moment. I'm really curious to see what the others finally decide on. -
I never used it, but that is kind of a shame. Especially since they don't offer another type of free hosting service. So people who simply did it for fun, will have to go elsewhere if they wish to keep having a site.

Rachmaninoff replied to Gavin's topic in General Discussion
*stands at a safe distance* I don't want any brain matter on me when Allamorph sees this. I will never acknowledge noob as a real word. Nope nope nope. :nope:
Awww, don't do that, we'll get those huge sun umbrellas, lounging deck chairs and even start up a barbecue for the occasion. Just think of the fun we'll have watching people's heads explode. You don't even have to acknowledge it as a real word. Heh. -
That was rather interesting. This one made me laugh. More for his expression than for the shoes being tossed in his direction.

Well there you go, just the word to pick for the occasion! lol *gets some popcorn and waits with Gavin for the show* -
I just had to go and leave my window open a bit when I fell asleep last night. Security isn't an issue since I'm on the third floor so no one can get to it. However, though my room needed to cool off... getting too cold since it dropped to 40 degrees was a bit much. So now I'm wide awake because being cold... woke me up. XP
That said new rule: Every Sunday is Cheesecake day. Bring a fork
Make it Sunday is Dessert day and we're set. Not that cheesecake isn't good, I'd just rather have regular cake.

As much as you'd hope this image is only poking fun... Now that it's definitely confirmed in our area... I've been seeing interesting behavior from some people. I can understand masks but to almost freak when someone walks near them is a bit overboard.
Are you kidding? DS9 never gets old.
Yes, I'm kidding and I posted that because I'm lying. [/sarcasm] Yes, it does get old. I never bothered to finish DS9. =P Ironically, in spite of that, I'll end up seeing the movie since Beth is a Star Trek fan and wants to see it. lol
Anyone else ever have to eat soap when they mouthed off too much?
I never had to, but only because I saw them do it to my older brothers. So I was careful to never mouth off or swear. I didn't do it when my parents weren't around either since one of my brothers did that and got caught.
I prefer skim, I've been drinking it since college and now can't even drink 1% without thinking it's too heavy. I give my daughter either 2% or whole milk because she's underweight.[/font']
I prefer the skim as well, at least for drinking or cereal. The other is just too heavy and I don't care for the taste. However if I'm making something that requires milk, like mac and cheese or say a cake, then I prefer to use 2% or whole milk.
is it gross were u go to school? cuz it is here... what about your lunch ladies... they are all fat and lazy and a couple of them are dirty and gross...
That sounds more like you've been watching too many movies that make fun of lunch and those who serve it, at High School. =P It's been a while, but for those times I did eat at school, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. And none of the people working there were fat or lazy. It's the same here at college, only the selection is a lot better. I tend to bring my own stuff to munch on though. Not because the food is bad, but because in the long run, it's cheaper.
