The only worst dancing experiences I've had have been to slip up and step on someone's foot or accidentally bump into someone else. Usually another couple dancing. Most of that happened when I was learning ballroom dancing though and still pretty new at it.

Speaking of turkey...

And speaking of Thanksgiving ChibiHorsewoman, I imagine this is what a lot of people will be doing today on account of turkey comas. =P

Tales of the Abyss, since I set it aside last year and never finished it. They've made an anime based on the game so I've started playing it again so when I watch the show it won't spoil the game. Only drawback, it's been long enough that I just started over since I couldn't remember what I was supposed to be doing. I also got a copy of the Orange Box recently so I've also been playing Portal a bit too. I've yet to try out the other games, but I'll get around to it I'm sure.

Anime Who's your favorite Fruits Basket character?
Rachmaninoff replied to HelloKittyLover's topic in Otaku Central
I like most of the characters from Fruits Basket but if I were to chose only one it would be Tohru Honda. While everyone else is unique and wacky in their own ways, her sweet nature is what makes her such a fun character. The way she outright misses the others snarky behavior, since she's not like that, is cute and endearing as well. -
First of all, congratulations on finding out that you're going to be having a girl. Now as for the names, I'm hesitant to suggest a name for the simple reason you don't really know me at all. If the two of you still haven't decided, have you considered talking to your parents to see what they think of the names? Anyway, no matter how you finally decide, personally I think both are nice names so either one will make a great name for your daughter.

What is your opinion on emo people?
Rachmaninoff replied to HelloKittyLover's topic in General Discussion
Others have said it, but I see it as a phase that hopefully the kids will grow out of. The ones who are truly depressed aren't likely to do things to bring attention to themselves. Anyone I've seen who calls themselves emo, have nothing to be emo over, making me think it's nothing more than a means to get attention. I mean sure they have a few things in their lives that are frustrating, but nothing worth getting that worked up over. They've yet to realize that everyone has things that are frustrating in their lives and that it's normal and nothing to worry over. -
Manga Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle [Warning: Spoilers]
Rachmaninoff replied to Aya_Fujimiya_42's topic in Otaku Central
I was surprised too since the series just hasn't really gone that path so I read that and was going... wut? The bit with Kurogane was fun though, but that was about it for that chapter. Hopefully that won't happen very often. The stop everything for explaining is never impressive, even if it's stuff you need to know. I liked how the others' pasts were shown instead of explained. It flowed better and didn't make you want to bang your head on your desk. Anyway, since that's not their usual style, so long as it doesn't continue I'm fine. It was just a disappointment since we had waited for two weeks and got that instead of their usual style of story telling. I think that would have been better in a dual chapter release instead of on it's own. -
And you know what? I was really excited for this. But, in the end, I couldn't get past the first twenty minutes. Yeah, it was bad.
I managed to finish the premiere as it were. Bad doesn't even begin to cover it. It was absoutely awful. I haven't watched the weekly episode each Saturday since once was more than enough to gag on.

More Star Wars. =P And just cause.

*realizes that he didn't really answer this* I don't do lists anymore, though I do think of things that I'd like to have if I can afford it. Music and books is always good. I have a lot of music out there that I'd like to add to my current collection. Though if I can swing it, what I really want to pick up is an xbox 360 so I can play Tales of Vesperia and then the next Star Ocean game when it comes out next March. But that's a hefty price tag so we'll see.

At this point, I'm going to ask that people put a lid on the spamage. Anyway... I think it's a given that everyone who's had someone they were interested in reject them, felt some level of despair/sorrow. It's only natural to feel disappointed. I can't say I've ever felt like it meant love somehow lost it's meaning though. Just give it time since you're bound to find someone else, and it's better to not pine over someone who has no interest in you. A few months from now you'll probably look back and wonder why you were so upset in the first place.
Well said, and when it comes down to it... that's what we all want. We may differ on how to go about it, but in the end the recognition of equal rights is a sentiment we all share.
That about sums it up in my opinion.
All of this hot air (including my own) is giving me a headache. I need a soothing melody. Where's Rach with his cello when you need him?
Here: Cello Prayers Because I can guarantee you that I'll always be elsewhere. School, work, homework, spending time with my girlfriend, etc.

Aaryanna already covered it really, I play games like this because I like them. =P
And come on, what is more cooler than a guy using his own fists to beat up his opponent to a bloody pile? That is just awesome. :D
Then you would have liked Cliff Fittir in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Since he used a type of glove and did just that, used his fists to fight with. No blood though, the game doesn't work like that.
And Jedi didn't use swords like most JRPGs do. Come on, there is a huge difference between a bastard sword and a freaking lightsaber.
Ironically, coolness factor aside, I've never been a huge fan of lightsabers. Sure the games are fun, but once I play one and win, I never seem to have an interest in playing again. Where this other types of Jrpg's as you put it do have more replay value. At least for me anyway. Oh and I really don't mind that you're nitpicking a bit since it's clear it's more of an issue about what you prefer. I'm reasonably sure that there are games you like that bore me to tears so... Oh and my understanding is that Producer Yoshinori Yamagishi revealed at the 2008 Tokyo Game Show that this release will be the last in the series. Since I've only played Till the End of Time, I guess if I want more, I'll have to look into getting previous releases.

Since the thread you originally posted in WiiGamer86 was back from 2002 and therefore six years old, I've moved your post into a new thread. I imagine people's lists from that long ago are either fulfilled or no longer something they want. So when thread is that old, it's best to just start a new one.
Looks like crap. Sorry guys. :< If your characters are going to be anime styled, at least have a stylized graphic engine. If you are going for cliched anime styled dialogue, give us good voice acting. If you are going sci-fi, no freaking swords! Chainsaw-blades are an exception.
Looks fine, sorry. =P I actually prefer the look of the trailer over what you think it should look like. Also Meggido already explained why it has swords and nitpicking over that detail without knowing the nature of the universe of the game in question is kind of silly. I really enjoyed Star Ocean: Till the End of Time so if this does well, I might finally break down and get a 360. Though it will depend on whether or not they have other games I'm interested in. Though they do have Tales of Vesperia so having more than one game I'm interested in, is a plus.

Cat: I like how yours has a very unified color scheme. The only thing that throws me off a bit is the top right corner since its so light that it's almost competing with the center image. Lrb: I like the concept and the way you hid the face of the person approaching is well played. The only thing I don't care for is the pink text of the word lucky, it just distracts from the black/white/gray aspect of the piece. SaiyanPrincessX: I think yours is nicely done with the setting textures and overall feel. I am curious about the color of the text though since I'm thinking that perhaps a color closer to white would help it to pop a little. Anyway, in the end I vote for SaiyanPrincessX. Nice work everyone.

My understanding is that other than perhaps a few people getting together, no actual chat has been held. At least not over at theOtaku. I don't know about AIM. I guess the real problem is setting a time and date that fits as many people as possible.

I tend to stick mainly with walking since I get a lot of that just from running around on campus. In addition to three flights of stairs at the apartment complex I live in since it has no elevator. Though the only time I'd use that is when I'm hauling groceries up the stairs. In the summer when it's warmer I end up adding hiking to that. Overall it keeps me fit.
However people on here have said they agree with the vote, maybe not the result, but the vote. So I'm not pulling this out of thin air.
No, you're pulling what you want to see out of it. The result is irrelevant, so on that we are agreed. However the actual process of each state, with the help of the people, determining state policy/legislation isn't the problem. This is what we approve of, not the actual ban on gay marriage. There's a big difference, obviously. But you can't just declare something is a violation of rights so easily. You said you don't care what others think and that attitude, even if I agree that those rights shouldn't be voted on, is wrong in so many ways. What we don't approve of is them using said system to enact laws like prop 8 or any other deal that bans gay marriage. They are doing this because they don't care what gays think since they see it as wrong. An attitude just as dangerous as your own. This is not something that will change so easily, especially when you consider that Virginia started by prohibiting it back in 1975 only to have that overturned to allow civil unions in 1999 and then later in 2007, those rights were overturned... And other states such as Alaska and Hawaii jumped on the bandwagon in 1998 and were followed by other states... So in the end, I'm more interested in getting those rights protected on a federal level so no state can pass such legislation. Nathan said it and history proves it, the more one group uses the law to oppress another group, the more obvious it becomes that something needs to be done to reverse the damage and then prevent it from happening again. I don't know when that will happen, no one does. After all, no fight like this has ever been easy.

Anime What are You Watching/Reading Now?
Rachmaninoff replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Otaku Central
I finally got the time to start a new series: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion I've only seen the first couple of episodes so far. Just enough to catch my interest, but not enough to determine if I'm going to really like it or not. As for reading, I've been following Tsubasa and xxxHolic. Both of which are excellent and have been added to my list of series to actually purchase. It's not often I find a manga that I'd actually buy. -
More stuff by Bach, as in this piece here: Bach - Harpsichord Concerto in D Minor This is only the first movement but I believe the rest is there if you just follow the links. Just a nice piece by Bach.
