Wow, I was worried he wouldn't win so it's nice to see that he actually [I]did[/I]. Utah is of course going Red like it always does so I'm really glad to see it going otherwise in other states. Since it certainly didn't here. Making my vote kind of useless, at least for here that is. XP This is decidedly odd or rather it feels odd. It's only the third time that I've been able to vote, but it's the first time where the party I wanted to win, actually did win. It's rather ironic since there are a lot of really depressed people around here right now. o_O I kid you not. Some of the people in my apartment complex are carrying on like it's the end of the world.

I was wondering... with the two groups out dealing with seperate locations... is it the same day or not? I was working on a post with Patrick and I realized that I didn't know if that was the case or not. It's not a big deal, but it does tie into a detail I was thinking of including in the post. I guess the real question is would it matter if I did indicate it's the same day. I'll probably work on that post later today so if it does, I can always edit it out if need be. I don't really believe in most of the creatures of legends such as vampires. However, stuff like what you linked to, is fascinating to read. Even if some of it is rather gross. That bit about people getting stuff from drinking water was just... o_O Yuck.

I went to a combination Halloween and birthday party since it was my birthday yesterday. So it was first, the birthday bit (which included Indi since it was her b-day too) then a round of watching movies for Halloween and just having fun. All in all, it was a great day.

I'm coming up blank when it comes to a saying for you Sabrina, but that set does look sweet. It kind of has me wishing I had one just for Alex and Nall. o_O I don't suppose you have the psd for that Beth? Having customized banners for each of us would be rather nifty. There was something about a distance limitation as well, but other than a brief mention in the history book about finding a technique to safely dissolve the bond and then quit teaching Reapers how to form one, there hadn?t been anything else. He wasn?t sure why Adrian brought it up, but he told him what little he knew. ?[B]Have you ever heard about a second type of bond, called a lifebond?[/B]? Alex shook his head since he had not. The conversation made no sense to him, but he listened as Adrian explained the difference between the two. Alex had never heard of a bond where it couldn?t be safely removed.[I] What is he getting at? Already Alex could tell that something felt off, just as he was already picking up on vampires in the area. It was hard to be certain, but there had to be at least fifteen of them, but some of the aura?s felt off, making him wonder if they were merely tainted humans instead of true vampires. He was wondering what to do next when Nathan fixed them with an intense look. ?[B]Take the south wing of the building while Isen and I cover the north. [I]Now[/I].[/B]? He barely waited for them to nod in agreement before the two took off. Alex didn?t question it; he?d worked with him long enough to know there had to be a reason. With a brief glance at the others he made for the south end of the building, understanding dawning when getting closer revealed that the group sent to deal with the vampires was already in the building. [I]Damn! We should have gotten here sooner![/I] It was clear the group wasn?t working together since the three at the south end of the building were separated. Alex looked to Adrian and pointed down, indicating that he and Nall would tackle the group on the first floor while they took care of the other further up. A return grin from Adrian was all he needed before they split up. Nall moved off his shoulder just before he ghosted through the walls at top speed. For the first time he found himself feeling calm as he made straight for the trio of vampires relentlessly hounding the lone Reaper facing them. He raised both hands and took aim at the vampires who were attempting to turn and meet the new threat. Alex didn?t give them a chance. Twin balls of purifying flames shot forward, one from each hand, catching the two vampires, who were half turned, directly in the chest. They barely had time to register surprise before the flames tore through and incinerated their soul sacs. The last one managed to get his short sword up in time to attempt to strike Alex, the battered Reaper he had been hounding, forgotten. Alex let his momentum carry him forward, sliding in under the slash in his direction. He hit the vampire hard in the middle. The vampire gasped for air as he flew backwards, the short sword slipping from his grasp. At the same moment it hit the floor, Alex flew forward to hit the vampire with a swift upper cut. As his left knuckles dug into the vampires chin, he heard the grotesque sound of bones in his neck snapping. As he brought up his right hand; fire began to form in his palm, roughly the size of a tennis ball. Alex launched it straight into the vampire?s chest, tearing through the soul sac. He let the body drop and whirled in place only to see the Reaper he had helped manage to finish off some tainted humans. ?[B]Who are you?[/B]? Alex ignored him in favor of picking up the short sword the vampire had tried to use on him. He had run into these weapons that the vampires had that could affect them, and normally he?d just destroy it, but there was something odd about how this one felt. Instead of destroying it like he normally would, he retrieved the sheath for it and then tucked it into his tunic to give to Nathan later. ?[B]What?s wrong Alex?[/B]? Nall started to ask him. ?[B]Hey! I asked you a question, who the hell are you?[/B]? ?[B]Go home.[/B]? Alex ordered the Reaper who was challenging him. ?[B]You?re in no condition to fight.[/B]? He looked to Nall who nodded and then launched himself up to join Adrian and Astera who were on the third floor. Adrian had already dealt with most of them and other than to help clean up a few stragglers, there wasn?t much to be done. One of the Reapers was severely injured, but nothing that time wouldn?t cure. He didn?t recognize the type of familiars with them, but they too seemed to be unharmed, a bit distressed, but other than that, they were alright. He looked at Adrian who merely grinned a bit before they left the bewildered Reapers and headed for the last area where they could still sense vampires. Alex could also feel Nathan and Isen heading the same way. From the feel of things, it seemed like those two would get there first.
