For this I would watch stuff like Fruits Basket, Lucky Star and Lovely Complex. I don't know if I'd consider them comfort anime but they're definitely nice ones to watch when you want something fun and uplifting.

If you haven't heard of this yet, here's an article on it. Adult-themed ?Frosty? videos stir outrage According to the article:
CBS promotions staff apparently thought that two mashups of the iconic cartoon character spliced to look as if he were uttering adult lines from "How I Met Your Mother" and "Two and a Half Men" were just harmless fun.
Until I ran into the outrage over it, I didn't even know they had done such a thing with the holiday classic. Since I haven't seen it I can't really say what I think of it, but at the moment I'm more inclined to just laugh and ignore it. So what about you guys? Do you think it's offensive or funny? And do you think certain things should be left alone? Though considering the nature of the net, I don't see that one happening anytime soon.

Go ahead James. I think you did one before, but no harm in having another one. I don't care for the idea but since it can always be turned off if it doesn't work out, I'd probably vote 'why not?' this time around. =P

And here I always figured that your bonus was being allowed to live and slave another year away. Who said anything about money? In other news, it's been snowing all day long. It needs to stop.
-
This isn't the first time we've gotten snow in the valley, it just hasn't been cold enough to stick around for more than say half a day. I'm kind of sorry to see it move to the, too cold to melt level. If we never got snow in the valley, I'd be fine with that.
-
We already got snow Gome, it started last night and was still at it this morning. Pity it didn't warm up enough today for the stuff to melt.

Well now, if they didn't know where people lived, they do now. Or at least the general location. That and it looks like someone just about got herself caught. Why am I amused that it's Lucia who was the easiest to find? :D

Attaching Files(Jpg) in Private Messages.
Rachmaninoff replied to Xyandar's topic in Help & Feedback
I've never tried to attach an image to a PM, but I do know you can host it using something like imageshack and simply link them to it in a PM. If you have an account imageshack lets you toggle things as private so only those you give the link to can see it. That's something you could use if you need to send something again. I don't do any of the updates for the site so I don't know how the PM settings work. I'm sure Desbreko could answer that question though. But until then, the other option would at least give you a work around so you didn't have to openly post it. -

Also, apparently it is becoming less and less common for children to make blanket forts. Why? WHY?! *twitch*
Because you can now buy one and simply assemble it? Like this. I know people who get that kind of stuff for their kids. It's cute and all, but seems to take the fun out of the making your own and changing it around each time.

The only thing I'm wondering at this point, is why chibi didn't immediately start making threads to cover the 'other' aspects.

It's kind of hard to hide your geeky nature when it's your career and major. Not that I try to, I like what I do. Though I suppose being a music major is a totally different type of geeky behavior deal than one of a Star Wars fanatic like you are Gavin. =P
-
You know Ace, the fact that Gavin simply berates you verbally instead of simply having you 'taken' care of, should tell you that you're actually more valuable than he's will to admit. That or he finds kicking you around amusing. Either or. Also, it's snowing outside.

Writing on paper is good for working out the kinks in a lot of things, I think. I do a lot of circling paragraphs and moving them around and adding/deleting stuff on paper. It's useful to have everything laid out before I start to type, because then I can do the fine-tuning as I go. By contrast, works that start on the computer are frequently more choppy. It's easy to move stuff around, but it seems to take much more effort to get the transitions to feel right, since there's no set point at which I retype the whole thing.
I don't get that same feeling from regular writing, only from composing. I don't write anything on paper other than to say take notes in a class. Or simple little notes when I go to the store or things of that nature. I suppose it's because when I write music, I can hear it in my mind as I work. Though I'm not sure why that seems to flow better if I write it out. I just know that it does. When it comes to papers or essays, I actually find attempting to write them by hand, painfully irritating. I do all of those on the computer and then print them out.

To be honest, he probably isn't gay, but he might've been raised by strict Presbyterians. Or staunch Catholics.[/FONT']
That's possible. Hadn't really thought about that one since what I grew up in, it wasn't so much that we considered it wrong, it was only if you acted on it that it became a problem. Though we wouldn't have been 'making' out in the first place so there is that. XP

Seeing that Stephanie made that post back in August, that's one hell of a long sugar rush. Also, I have a very hard time imagining her as someone you should be afraid of. She just seems too well... nice for someone to be afraid of. lol

It's all just to welcome you home. :animesmil
Oh right. Haha, welcome home Miss A. Also, am I the only one who is thinking that the friend who thinks it's wrong, is probably gay?

Strange is your choice to talk like Yoda when your employer is a Sith Lord.
I was wondering about that myself. You need to change your speech pattern to that of the Borg chibi. Mindless drones don't have a more unique method of speaking. The more you do that, the more it becomes obvious that you need further brainwashing. =P

You've got it all wrong Ace. He'll go for the all around cheaper option. R.I.P.

Apparently my alarm didn't go off. And the cold medicine I took for the black lung I got from working in Gavin's mines of Wal-Mart joy made me oversleep.
I see you've found out that Gavin's assurances about their being no cases of black lung were nothing but lies. Fair warning, if he's promised a replacement lung, you'll never see it. =P

Why is it anyone's business what was going on in his personal life? Why does anyone care? What is the point of airing out his dirty laundry in front of anyone with a television set?!
Welcome to the realm of sensationalism and useless info on TV. =P

Looks like you have competition chibi. =P Anyway, I expect that like most years, it will be spent with family and friends. Also, I'm with Allamorph, sick of the Christmas radio at the stores. It's like they all tune into the same station around here. Bland boring Christmas music that is designed to put you to sleep. Writing up assignments I prefer to use the computer, but for some reason whenever I'm working on a score I prefer to write that out by hand instead of using the software I have for it. I end up later transferring it to the computer but I still prefer to do the initial work on paper.

I wouldn't say I'm not interested in helping out, but once I'm done seeing what's up I end up focusing on school work and forget about it until the next day when I log back in. I have mentioned it to some people I know, but haven't had any luck finding someone interested enough to actually sign up.
