1.
You win. Oh, and that reminds me: Hall of the Mountain King. I know you know what I' m talkin' 'bout, Rachmaninoff.
In the Hall of the Mountain King An orchestral bit of music from the play Peer Gynt, written by Henrik Ibsen, though the actual music was composed by Edvard Grieg. I believe the play was first performed back in the late 1800?s. Anyway, it may be short at only just over two minutes long, but it is well known, though most often not by name or rather not by what it was taken from. It?s been used in a lot of other things as well, I understand that Savatage, a heavy metal band, has a instrumental version of it named ?Prelude To Madness? on their album titled ?Hall of the Mountain King? I have actually heard a tiny clip of that piece by Savatage but not the entire song since I do not have the album in question. And though I?ve not heard it, I understand that a cello rock group named Apocalyptica did a version of it as well. And since I just got through listening to the clip I linked to that is what I am listening to right now. For a short piece it is fun to listen to, very lively and entertaining.
 2. Perhaps the question here is how Matt supposedly got the E in the first place. Knowing Beth... It's likely that he stole it. Since I can't imagine her just handing it over. lol In which case I say we track down Matt's e-bay account and beat him up. :p Or simply snatch the BK from his user name and sell it for a penny. Sounds about right to me.
 3. Lets see, right now I'm listening to various works by Richard Wagner. Especially this little gem that I found recently: Ride of the Valkyries...Arrangement for 8 Pianos. That's a performance that would have been amazing to see. :catgirl: Those guys are absolutely fantastic!
 4.
and a power card already. I'll have to choose carefully who Raone presents his to :p.
Well someone had to be first. lol And I see that a certain someone is angling for full points by a certain action in his post, or actions. :p Which raises the question for Sandy... is it possible to earn points for more than one type of action in a post and thus pick up enough for a death card in a single post?
 5. Who or rather which is better? Neither, I've always found the concept of vampires and werewolves to be boring at best. In fact the rpg Shinigami Dance is probably one of the only stories where Vampires are involved that has even caught my interest at all. And even then it's the concept of death gods not the vampires that holds my attention. Seriously, for creatures that do not exist, they just make me cringe since most if not all stories about them that I have read or seen were not very entertaining. As for what does interest me as far as creatures that do not exist... that's another topic. ;)
 6. I hope that works for how I had my goddess grant her power to one of the players. It just made sense to have her sort of appear to him. I wasn't sure on that though so if you want it done differently let me know and I'll edit the post Sandy. Also... I'm glad you were working with a different character Shy. XP That would have sucked if we were posting about the same one. lol
 7. As always, it seemed that her fellow brethren among the Gods could not or simply would not in their pride, see her for what she truly was. Celesta knew that of all who were in the room, Raone would be the only one to see her with some form of clarity. With the tiniest of sighs she turned to look at the pool. It was time to do as Paraxis stated, to hold nothing back and set her own strategy in motion by bestowing her power to one of the souls. Whether or not that soul was her champion or not did not matter, let the others wonder as to just who got her power for now. Celesta had ignored Jachym's suppressed laughter at Telumas's statements directed towards her, they were nothing new after all. The huntress always assumed that others disrespected her abilities just as she also arrogantly assumed that they gave her an edge. We shall see, Celesta thought as she ignored Teluma's exit, since she had clearly mistaken the idle banter as more than just words. What a night, James Alan thought, pleased as he got ready to leave work. The ladies had been most generous with their tips as well as the appreciative and measuring glances and caresses he had gotten from those close enough to sneak them in. It would probably upset his girlfriend if she knew though, James or rather Jamie as he often was called had already had one fight with her about him finding a job that did not have him serving drinks dressed in tight leather jeans with no shirt and a leather studded type of collar. But living in Los Angeles was expensive and finding work that paid so well wasn't easy, especially since he had never gone to college. And other than a handful of times, he did not sleep with the customers. Jamie sighed to himself as he stripped out of his outfit in the back room and changed into his simple jeans and tee shirt to head home. "Dude, you're an idiot," his co-worker Jake said as he came into the room to get ready for work. "What's that suppose to mean?" Jamie laughed as he finished pulling on his shirt. "Don't think I didn't notice you watching the newest girl. You've already got a girlfriend, remember?" Jamie shifted uncomfortably since he had been watching the newest employee, "Well yeah, but lately she's on this kick about me finding another job so I'm not sure how it's going to work out." Jake just laughed, "One of those eh? Too bad. I hope you at least got a taste of her first." He remarked before he turned and left to go and take his station behind the bar of the expensive club they both worked for. Jamie just sighed to himself as he grabbed the rest of his things from his locker before heading out the back door. He was surprised by a brilliant flash of white light and what seemed to be a woman dressed in a flowing white gown with long flowing black hair. What the hell? "I have chosen you mortal," she spoke with a voice that was beautiful in a way he could not describe. "For now you will house my power, the ability to heal. Use it wisely." "What?" Jamie stammered, but she continued as if he had not spoken and he fought to try and see her more clearly through the blinding light. "You would do well to remember that your own strength will be tied to my power, the greater the need, the more it will cost you." Then without warning the light and the woman was gone and Jamie found himself in a place he did not recognize. What the hell just happened? Who was that woman? And what did she mean by power to heal? He looked around uncertain as to what he should do as well as feeling confused by the strange sensation that he had been changed somehow.
 8.
I actually don't have a huge problem with the president of Columbia University bad-mouthing the Iranian president. I'm all for free speech, and unfortunately that's part of it. Disrespectful? Sure. But i'd rather him speak his mind than censor himself for the sake of diplomacy. That's just me though. =D
Censor? Speak his mind? All he did was make himself look like a jackass even more so than the President of Iran. Honestly, he didn't need the President there to state all that stuff. Free speech isn't about mouthing off in an attempt to look smart, it's about not having that right to have said opinions taken away. The President of Iran looked like an idiot on his own, he didn't need the President of Columbia University to do that. Really, all he did was look stupid right along side with the President of Iran. He could have easily directed his comments as more politely spoken questions instead of being rude. The whole thing was silly, they had the chance to let the President of Iran look like an idiot all by himself, but instead took the low road of trying to look clever by deliberately insulting the guy when it wasn't necessary.
 9. By now, Darren would have thought that he would have finally been allowed to transfer to his office on the home world near the Council Center. Ever since the sectors had broken off his work had almost doubled as it required constant monitoring to keep up with the changes needed in the shipping throughout the Empire. With all the skirmishes happening along the borders, most recently the attack of the Ru-xu-kou, along the border of sectors one and seven, the need for supplies to be shifted was constantly changing. It didn't help that there was also a fair amount of outright raiding going along in sectors four and three. The Resistance or New Alliance as they liked to now call themselves, was quite skilled at hijacking shipments. But that didn't seem to matter as both him and Kerstin were still on board the Creator. Darren sighed softly and turned from his position of watching the rest of the fleet from the view in his quarters to head back to his desk and continue with his work. Maybe I should ask Sandra about it again. But as he sat down the chime indicating there was an incoming transmission sounded. Curious as to who it was he answered the call, the screen coming to life as he accepted it. It was Sandra, now attired in the dress of a Council member. That's right, she was made a full member today. "Darren," She didn't waste any time. "Both you and your sister are to transfer to the Conqueror immediately." Darren couldn't hide his surprise. "What? But why? I thought..." But Sandra's expression just darkened in anger, causing him to falter and go silent. "I don't know why Darren, you'll have to ask Stevens since he is the one who ordered your transfer." Stevens? But... Darren shook his head, suddenly depressed. He knew what Stevens was like. "I see. I'll gather my things immediately and head over." Lovely, Darren thought once Sandra had ended the transmission. What in the world does Stevens want? It had been bad enough being required to stay on the Creator and still run into Jared from time to time, but Stevens? He resisted the urge to hit something, anything as he gathered what little possessions he had with him. Not much really, just the stupid uniforms for being a shipping expert along with some regular clothing and the hand held computer he had been issued. They didn't even fill the small bag he had for carrying such things. As he headed for the door to his quarters, Darren gave the place one final glance. He wouldn't miss them, of that he was positive, even if they were elaborate and excessive in his opinion. I'd better go and inform Kerstin, he smiled at the thought of all the things she had. A move would not be so simple for her. She would require assistance to move her art supplies since most if not all of them had ended up on board since she had been kidnapped. Even though she still attended classes at the University on Reflection, she did not like staying in her room at the university unless she had no choice. It took him little time to get to her quarters since they were both housed in the guest quarters for the Creator, but when she answered the door, he was surprised to see her with a small bag herself and ready to go. "So why are we being transfered Darren?" Kerstin asked as she stepped out from her quarters with her small bag in tow. "Sandra already told you did she?" Darren asked as he fell into step along with Kerstin as she headed towards the nearest transport room. "Yes, just as she told me to let the housekeeping crew move my art supplies once I was assigned to my new quarters." Kerstin glanced at her brother as they continued through the corridors of the ship. "She didn't say why we are being moved though." Darren just shrugged. "I don't know either. The only thing I do know is that it was ordered by Stevens." "Well I can understand why you might be moved, but me?" Kerstin just sighed a bit as they entered the transport room and Darren put in the request to be transported to the Conqueror. She sighed again. Why haven't they moved both of us to the home world? Darren has an office there and that includes living accommodation's. Kerstin politely smiled and thanked the technician working in the transport room and stepped through the door after her brother did. She'd find out soon enough what was going on. As soon as she was on board and the door had closed behind her, she turned her attention to the deck officer who was waiting for both of them in the transport room on the Conqueror. "Sir, if you'll both come with me. I've been sent to show you to your new quarters." Both Darren and Kerstin followed along as he led them towards the guest quarters for the Conqueror. Though considering that the layout of the flag ships was the same, they could have easily have found it on their own. Once they arrived and he gave each one of them the code for their quarters he had one more thing to say before heading back to his other duties. "Both of you are scheduled for a meeting with the Admiral at seven this evening. He'll be expecting you in the observation room just off the bridge. If you need anything else, just let me know." And then with a small bow he turned and left. Both Kerstin and Darren looked at each other and then with a small sigh they entered their separate quarters to settle in before heading to see why they had been moved.
 10.
So how is the quality of the RPGs being posted? Does it stack up to what you knew of the past RPGs posted in OB?
Seems like there is plenty of good RPG's running. The activity is a bit low since summer is over, but there are still good ones running. As for the past... I've only been here since December of last year so I couldn't say.
What do RPers want these days? What elements of an RP do you look at before signing up?I
I couldn't say really, since what I like is different than what others like. I'm into Sci-Fi and stuff that's more of a different theme than some of the Naurto stuff I've seen pop up. So the only thing I look at is whether or not the person isn't the type to abandon their RPG and if it looks like a type of story I would enjoy doing.
When you look at signing up to an RPG, does it matter who posted it?
Only if the person has a history of not following through, or if the other players have a habit of signing up and then not doing anything. Beyond that, if it's a story I like, is decently done and I have time... I'll sign up. I don't care who it is really. Though I will admit that if it's someone like Sandy, then that does make a difference, because like I just mentioned, I've seen how he doesn't drop the ball and follows through. It's more fun to sign up when you know the host won't lost interest during the middle of the RPG.
As an RPG writer, do you write for your audience (prospective RPers), or do you write a story that you want to personally want to roleplay and hope others find it interesting? And, have you ever given thought to what consequences (both positive and negative) your RPs have on your audiences' lives? For instance, someone makes a character very close to their heart (is very close to their real life self) and they watch how their character interacts with others.
I can't really answer this since I've only run one RPG and it was based off of someone else's. It was successful in that it seems to have helped to inspire further installments of the same type of RPG, but I've yet to truly create my own RPG. So in the end I can't really answer this last bit.
 11. Works for me since the less you are confused, the better. Heh. I like the idea of listing the actions here that can no longer be used since that would make sense. I'm also glad to hear that you intend to keep adding things to the list since I had wondered about the possibility of running out of things one could do to earn said points. Figures that the Life Points list is less though. lol But then the point of this game is to kill off the other characters. Not to revive them and since you openly list the points it will make it easier to spot who is getting what type of card. So if only one person is getting life points... You'll stick out.
 12. Leave it to Crystia to get the first death point. :p Though that brings up the question of wondering if you plan on updating the first post in this thread with that information as well or just in the main thread? With the list of points people have that is. Heh. Anyway, this ought to be quite the ride. It's so different since you have to try and earn points instead of simply waiting for the chance to use a card. lol
 13. Celesta was in all honesty, not even sure why she had chosen to stay and play Paraxis's game. Life was what interested her, not games, or deceptions or using others to further one's desires. And yet that same interest compelled her to stick around if only to see to protecting those who had been caught up in the struggle among the gods for so long. She could admire and even to a certain extent understand Raone's intention to create a righteous world, but even among nature, deception was a necessity. Hunter and hunted, all a delicate balance of survival. Life was more than the souls of the humans who inhabited the Earth. Should she manage to win this game of Paraxis's it would finally put an end to the pointless interference of the Gods. It had seemed so innocent when it first began, extending her reach to prolong life and yet even that at times had backfired. Celesta could not see the truth as Raone could and thus it was difficult to know until later that restoring someone's health was a mistake. I must be careful who I give my power to. Celesta thought as she ascertained what powers each one had prepared to bestow on a champion of their choosing. "You seem strangely quiet Celesta." Paraxis spoke directly to her. "Have you nothing to say in regards to this game of life and death?" "Would you have me repeat myself as to the beauty of all life?" Celesta countered in a calm and clear voice. "You claim you wish to put an end to the needless suffering caused by our interference. And yet you chose to use the very same method of deciding the winner by interfering with the very souls you apparently loathe to see toyed with." Celesta turned back to the pool to watch the souls who continued to appear in The Ragnarok when Paraxis merely nodded to her, saying nothing more. She wondered if the humans knew how much was at stake here. Even removing all the Gods except one would be a form of interference since they too were a balance of light and dark. Just as some humans should not have their lives extended, some Gods should not rule without others to keep them in balance. How did it come to this? Reiko thought in despair as she finished getting dressed. How will I tell my parents that I lost my job? It wasn't that she tried to to get fired, but Reiko had refused the sexual advances of her employer. They'll never believe that a wealthy man such as him would threaten to fire me if I didn't do as he asked. In all honesty Reiko had not believed her employer either, she had laughed at what she had thought was a joke. That is until the next day when she arrived at work it was to find that she had been dismissed and accused of stealing documents from the company. "Oh this is just great." She sighed to herself as she finished putting her hair up and a bit of makeup on. "No one will hire me now and if I can't work, how will I ever pay for college?" Reiko sat down at the small desk in her room and pulled out yesterday's newspaper to look at the job listings. Most if not all of the decent secretarial based jobs that she had prepared for in High School were connected to the very company she had been fired from. Carefully she crossed each one off. There would be no point in applying to any of them, by now she would be on their black list. Next were the light industrial jobs, ones that required no skill but were more demanding physically. Well at least they pay well. Reiko thought as she circled a few to go and check out. She had enough saved to pay for things for a few months, once that ran out she would have no choice but to return home. I hope it doesn't come to that she thought as she carefully folded the page with the job information on it, placed it in her small handbag and left her apartment.
 14.
Congratulations on my behalf, Darren! You outwitted, outplayed and outlasted ten challenges and twenty other contestants! There is only one question for this type of situation: How do you feel now?
How do I feel? Like someone snuck up on me and zapped me with a cattle prod or something. :animestun Honestly, I was not expecting to see that result because Aaryanna is such a fierce opponent. I firmly agree that she deserved to win as much if not more than I did. This whole thing has been one surprise after another, from exhilirating, to frustrating to downright good fun. So thanks for everything, all of you. Especially you Sandy, for hosting it to begin with. :catgirl:
 15. Dies iræ! dies illa It didn't take Alex and Nall all that long to get back to the main level of the mansion. Once the undead dragon had been dealt with, there was nothing else in the cellar or the dungeon to be dealt with. The mansion however, as large as it was, would take a while to fully explore. Solvet sæclum in favilla It was only a mere whisper of power or rather stillness in the air that Alex felt as the door to the cellar closed behind him, but before he even knew what it was or just what he had felt, Alex came to a standstill. His senses reaching out for the familiar thread he had just sensed as he closed his eyes. Teste David cum Sibylla! It was incomplete, but there was no mistaking a part of the grand hymn of the Shinigami! He could not tell who or what, but someone or something was calling upon the power of the song. Without even giving it a thought he stilled his own mind and hesitantly took up the chant. Quantus tremor est futurus Like shadows fleeing from the light, Alex could feel something pulling back, giving way. A sense of completeness filled his soul, chasing away the fear and doubts that he still harbored. Encouraged by the familiar feeling of oneness that only a Shinigami could feel, his voice grew stronger, more determined. Quando judex est venturus Nathan! He could sense him again! He's the one who's trying to reach the rest of us! So we aren't separated after all! Alex didn't know just what had happened yet, but if Nathan was calling to him and the others in this manner... Cuncta stricte discussurus! Alex could feel the shadows of what had to be an illusion beginning to lift as every one of them upon feeling the stirrings of the old ways took up the chant. Adrian, Lucia, Shalua and even Aeru! Their voices lending power to the grand hymn of the Shinigami, cutting through the illusion that the Count had trapped them in. But it was not enough, though Alex could feel the connection between them that he had thought was missing, the illusion still hovered hatefully just beyond the reach of the hymn's power. Waiting to entrap them once more. Without the rest of the Shinigami, we can't draw on the full power of the chant! They were reunited in spirit but still kept apart by the power of the trap the Count had cast. A glimmer of an idea began to form as they began to come to the close of the hymn uniting them once again. If he was correct, there was a way to dispel the illusion holding their minds in shadow. Lacrymosa dies illa It would take more than an illusion tied to his senses to stop him from destroying it. If they could not call upon the full power of the Shinigami, then they would have to work around it. Qua resurget ex favilla Nathan had grounded them back into reality and he would use that reality as a bridge to strike at the powerful spell keeping them from stopping the Count. Iudicantus homo reus It was time to make that reality permanent as it should be. But to do that, Alex would need to do more than just a chant. He needed the music as well, even if he could not call upon it's completed form. Huic ergo parce, Deus Alex pulled out the small instrument that he carried with him everywhere. It was not capable of playing the grand hymn of the Shinigami in it's fullest extent, but that did not matter. Pie Iesu Domine It could and would serve as a guide for him to tap into the power needed to shatter the illusion for good. He readied himself as the final verse came to a close. Dona eis requiem. Amen Then before the thread tying them together once again could fade he began to play his Ocarina. It was far from being close to the original hymn, but no mortal instrument was capable of such a feat. But just as he had thought, he felt himself sink deep into the trance needed to draw upon the power to finally destroy the illusion. Then once he was there, as he settled fully into the trance, Alex lowered the Ocarina and began the next part of the grand hymn of the Shinigami. Domine Iesu Christe, Rex gloriae, libera With each word the power grew, running down the lines tying each of them together. Alex could feel it building, waiting for him to set it free. He could sense that breaking the illusion at this point was possible, but he wanted more, needed more. He was going to make sure that once dispelled it could not be rebuilt so easily. Alex sent the call to each one, tying their power into what he was doing, adding more strength behind his own. Then when it was ready and he finally came to the last bit. Without hesitation he set it loose. Fac eas, Domine, de morte transire ad vitam With a mental snap the illusion broke, shattering into tiny pieces like so many shards of glass before finally fading away. Once again he could feel everyone who had come to the mansion. Nathan, Adrian, Shalua, Lucia, Aeru and their familiars as well. But more importantly, he could also feel the vampires as well. "Alex!" Nall started to say. "I know. We need to find the others and take care of the Count once and for all." The closest one was Lucia and Ruby, the others though still in the mansion, were further away. Especially Adrian and Aeru as it felt like they were in a higher level of the mansion. With renewed confidence Alex immediately headed towards Lucia's and Ruby's location.
 16.
Well if you want to know more about this... I found this online, it's suppose to be a copy of the police report of this incident. It's an interesting read that's for sure. Report If that's true, he did it on purpose just to get attention. :animesigh
That's just sad really. Talk about needing a time out as ChibiHorsewoman put it. Regardless if the procedure is later considered a bit too harsh, no one should get fired over dealing with a total moron like that. Especially since it seems that he got the attention he wanted. Getting in the news and all over the Internet as well.
 17.
Sometimes game difficulties annoy me. My biggest example on the matter lies in the Metal Gear Solid games. I enjoy playing on the hardest possible difficulty just for the sake of trying to get past guards and employing all of the stealthy attributes that the games boast, but then I arrive at a boss fight, and they are damn near impossible. They might be good for gamers who get their kicks from bosses, but call me boring; all I want to do is get through the game without getting spotted and not wasting time fighting boss battles I'll never win.
I so agree. lol Not that having harder levels isn't fun, but sometimes it's like they were brain dead when they got to the boss. It takes the fun out of beating things only to get stuck on the stupid boss. Though some games getting to the boss is harder than beating the boss, in which case, those really need to be beefed up to make it more challenging. No offense to Twilight Princess... But even the final boss battle was easy to do. XP It was fun, but difficulty wise? Very disappointing. Oh and though smarter AI's is a nice idea, even just having the different levels that are based on stronger monsters/bosses, etc would be a vast improvement. For the games that don't have any different levels of difficulty that is.
 18.
My only 'habit' is that I once I start watching an anime series I genuinely enjoy (which has happened about four times in my life), I have to watch it all at once. There's no 'watch one episode a day' for me, lol. I want to finish it asap and be able to discuss it.
I like to do the same, I don't always succeed, but if possible, I prefer to wait until a series is completely released so I can watch it all in one go. Though since I can't afford to get that many series all at once, I end up watching a lot of others a little bit at a time. It's probably just as well that I can't afford to pick up a complete series very often, I don't have the time to watch a lot of anime anyway.
 19. Well it wasn't intentional... But with school running again I have been a lot busier. I'm still interested in helping out so just let me know what you want me to do. Well other than the graphics, I'm not too good at that kind of stuff.
 20. I have the same service that Aaryanna and Beth do. And other than the capacity issue she mentioned, most if not all of the time it works great. I pay about the same for it as she does since I split the cost with my roommates. I also have access to the Internet at school, but most of the time it's not worth the trouble to find an open spot at the computer labs since I don't have a laptop. Only a desktop.
 21.
Edit: Okay, I give. 22.
I'll have to disagree with you, Rach. From the photo she put up earlier (elsewhere, naturally) I'd say she does in fact look late thirties. SunfallE looks mature.
Just how many women do you know in their 30's Allamorph? I wasn't saying that just to flatter Beth. I said it because most of the women I know who are the same age look older than she does. XP So stop trying to get me in trouble! Also, you're about as polite in your wording as Revolver... Elegant is the word I would use to describe her, not mature. :animesigh I'll give you the same advice I gave Rev, if you ever want to date... think about what you just said oh clueless one. lol Being called mature, to most of my friends is an insult, much in the same way I hate being told I look like a teenager. >_< Oh and feel free to read between the lines if you wish as to why I even bothered to comment on that. And now that I've totally gone off topic here... I'll shut up now.
 23.
"What was your most strategic move that most likely got you to the final two? And if you feel that strategy wasn't a major factor in your gameplay, what is the one move that you regret the most and why?"
I didn't have one really, a strategy that is, and that's probably what led to my getting voted off in the first place. When we did the story challenge, I didn't have much experience with it so other than to give some input I didn't really do much. I kind of wish I had insisted or at least tried a little harder to be a part of it. It was easier when I returned since the very first challenge was making a team song and music was something I was far more familiar with. So being more involved was much easier, I also decided at that time to make sure I was as involved as possible, even when it was something I knew nothing about.
Name one or two challenges that given a chance you would have changed the rules to, if changed then what would you have done differently, or removed from the game altogether and why.
The only one I would have removed was the time constraint one, just like Aaryanna already mentioned. I was glad when it turned out to be the only one with time issues. It was an interesting idea, but I think it didn't work very well in this environment. If I were to change the rules for a few, like the debate I also would have made some of those final challenges between team members to be done at the same time. It sort of dragged things out a bit and I think it sort of made people feel like there wasn't much point in sticking around if there wasn't much to be done. They were still a good idea though, even if the rap challenge annoyed me to no end. Though it did help me get better at writing poetry a little. [I think] Anyway, for the most part I think the challenges were fine the way they were, if only because until you try it, it's hard to know if something is going to work well online.
 24.
O_o I had always assumed you were in your late 20s since Rach is...
lol I've always known that Beth is older than me DB. I knew when I sent her the pm with the poem asking her to be my online wife. ;) Though you wouldn't know it when you meet her. She doesn't look like she's 36. XP She looks like she's not even thirty. Besides, it's right in her profile if you look, her age that is. Anyway... I won't be posting again until Allamorph does. I feel that I've established what's going on well enough. So it needs to be moved to the next phase in my opinion.
 25.
Something else that pissed me off: "Two campus officers have been placed on paid administrative leave, University of Florida President J. Bernard Machen said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon." What the hell?! They screwed up this badly, and they're still getting bloody paid?! Forget whether Meyer was being a jackass at the mic; they had him pinned?six of them had him bloody pinned to the freakin' ground?and they needed a taser?! And for this they're on paid vacation!!
Honestly Allamorph, that's standard procedure to be put on paid leave. Instantly calling out the cops as guilty would be wrong. And from what I've seen that kid had getting escorted off the premises coming to him. What kind of moron does that and then resists being asked to leave? Also, why are people glossing over this?
While Senator Kerry was responding to a student?s question, all of a sudden Meyer rushed to the microphone with cops in pursuit. At that point no one knew what was going on. Could he have a gun, a bomb? Immediately, Meyer began yelling into the microphone that he had been waiting in line forever and that Senator Kerry should ?spend time to answer everyone?s questions!? Senator Kerry tried to calm the student down by telling him that he would ?stay here as long as it takes to get the questions answered.? The police approached Meyer who began taunting them by saying ?what! are you going to taser me? are you going to arrest me?!? The police grabbed Meyer, but Senator Kerry asked the police to let him go and that he would answer his question. Senator Kerry finished answering the other student?s question and then proceeded with Meyer. (*This entire scene is not in any video I can find so far. This is why 2 cops are seen right behind Meyer at the start of some videos*)?
As well as this:
Police have released the incident report detailing the Tasering of a University of Florida student during a campus forum with Sen. John Kerry Monday, and the officer who actually Tasered Andrew Meyer wrote in the report that Meyer later told police, ?You didn?t do anything wrong.? In the 12-page report, which gives accounts of the incident from the perspective of eight different officers who were present Monday afternoon, Officer Nicole Mallo writes that Meyer would only resist officers when cameras were present. ?As (Meyer) was escorted down stairs (at the University Auditorium) with no cameras in sight, he remained quiet, but once the cameras made their way down stairs he started screaming and yelling again,? Mallo wrote.
Do a little research into this guy, he's an attention getter not some student who was wrongfully cut off and assaulted, I don't agree with the taser bit but it's clear that he brought it on himself. The moment he realized that the question bit was over and that he was expected to leave he should have done so. The free right to speech and all that does not include the privilege of throwing a temper tantrum or butting in line to get your question answered. Personally, I'd like to see a video of the entire deal before I make a judgment against the officers. It's not every day that a presidential candidate who didn't get elected comes to a school like that so there's bound to be someone out there with a full video of the event.
