1. I have only one initial response to what Sandy posted... o_O I so did not see that coming at all. I was positive that the two of you were going to clobber me. XP Especially that video of yours Aaryanna, that was too cute for words. :catgirl: Especially the part where your dog was playing on the sofa. Heh. And your cross-stitch Kathy was equally as cute. Anyway... I'm sure Sandy will understand that I'll need to think about this a little bit before I decide. >_< It's really hard to choose! I promise I won't take too long though. Thanks again for everything you guys. :catgirl:
 2. Well my parents did that many times when I was younger, and though I always missed them, we usually stayed at my grandparents house. Which was equally as fun since my Mom's parents are pretty awesome. So even though we always missed our parents, staying at grandma's was a treat. Heh. Now, that all of us are living on our own, my parents travel a whole lot more. Though I don't really miss them while they're gone. It's just not the same since I haven't lived at home for quite a while.
 3.
EDIT: As the Count has said, Welcome to Purgatory!
>_< Talk about being startled. Hehe. For a moment I was thinking Alex was about to get clobbered. XP Well Beth was right, you were up to something! Now I'm going to have to think on how to respond to that plot twist. :catgirl:
 4. Well I never had babysitters from hell. But then my mom's parents live in the same area and my grandmother would always watch us when my parent's needed someone to keep an eye on us. And like lots of grandmothers, she spoiled us rotten every time she watched us. Making cookies, telling us stories and letting us play video games instead of studying when we got older. lol I think it drove my mom and dad a little nuts at times, but I remember how excited we'd get when grandma came over and mom and dad left. We all knew that meant fun instead of doing chores, homework, etc.
 5. I got this game... And it's addicting. Even with the load times being a little long. I love Jade's snarky attitude along with Anise's ever so innocent act. And poor Guy with his issue when he's around women is priceless. But best of all is Mieu... Let's just say I have a weakness for little mascots like that. lol He's probably my favorite out of all the characters. Heh. In addition to liking how the battle system works, as well as the music. I also like how it has good voice actors. Even Luke's whiny, irritating voice fits. Anyway, I'm not all that far into the game yet, but so far it's shaping up to be one of my favorites.
 6. I just finally got around to watching more of this, which made me wonder why I quit watching it for a bit, since it's still every bit as fun as I remember.
Right now the funniest moment is when the rest of the class learned that Otani initially
rejected Risa.
The way they instantly gave Otani the cold shoulder was hilarious. Anyway, now I need to hunt down episode thirteen.
Oh I'll agree, and in a way that idiot had that one coming. Gods, he's so clueless that it's painful to watch! lol And yeah I need to hunt down episode thirteen as well, if only because the preview gave the impression that
those two would finally kiss.
So I definitely need to see if their relationship starts going somewhere. Heh. Once I get to the end I just know I'm going to end up watching this again. :catgirl:
 7. I was visiting friends in California at the time and wasn't doing anything really other than getting ready to go back home. I remember 9/11 for the simple reason I was suppose to fly home from Southern California to Utah on the 12th and naturally my flight along with everyone else's was grounded until a little while later. I just remember feeling really surprised. Not that such things happen, but it was the first time something like this had affected my life in any manner. Being delayed a little in getting home didn't really affect me in the long run. I finally got home a little later once flights were allowed again, and fortunately I have no relatives or friends living in that part of the US. Still I feel bad for those who did lose loved ones to the tragedy. And it's something I know I'll probably never forget either.
 8. ^Why am I not surprised at your entry DB. lol Anyway... Seeing that Survivor is coming to a close, this is perfect timing actually. Heh. Anyway, here's my entry Sandy. This should be fun since it sounds more involved than simply waiting to use a death card. ;) Immortal Name: Celesta Mortal Names: Isis Area of Godhood: Goddess of Life Manifestations: She appears as a young woman with long flowing black hair and wears a golden crown with a sundisk symbol on the front. Her garments are a pure white sleeveless dress gathered at the waist with a belt made of pure gold. She wears simple sandles on her feet. She appears like this whether it's before the other gods or humans. Power Card: Heal: Grants the user the ability to heal all but the most mortal of wounds. Poison, curses, all fall before this power making the wielder a powerful healer. However, just as the power grants great healing capability, it also exacts a toll proportionate to the level of healing done. From simple tiredness to collapsing and requiring extended rest from healing more severe wounds.
 9. Well I've now sent my answers/entry to Sandy as well. It's been loads of fun you two. Even if it annoyed the hell out of me at times. lol Anyway... Looks like once your entry is in Kathy we'll finally get to see how this plays out. It's gonna feel weird, first Silver One comes to an end and now this one will. After being in both for so long it's really going to feel off to not be in something like this. Guess that means I need to poke SunfallE to get the other SO running. Heh.
 10.
I can tell you his answer to that:
That takes the fun out of it. XP I've been looking for a post where I could use that dorky smilie. Now you've gone and ruined it. lol Anyway, having read through the thread by Kathy and also having been a part of the event run by Aaryanna and Crystia, it certainly seems to me that having a thread for suggestions for events would be a fantastic idea. I see no reason why events have to be done only by the Event master. Sure they would be the one to oversee, approve and most likely run it but still, having member input can only be a good thing in my opinion. I may not have any suggestions for it, at least for an event, but I'm sure others will.
 11.
Now being killed while having sex, is a death I can live with.
Prem/Rev, In that situation... You want to die after you're done. XP Especially if you're still a virgin. As for dying alone or as a virgin? The only option left for me is dying alone, though I suppose it being painful is still an option. And I predict that regardless of what it is, I will someday die. [about the only thing I can predict that I know will come true lol]
 12.
Is it ok I am desensitized to such things at 16 years old? Are any of you guys like this?
Well I wouldn't say I am desensitized to the same level, however, seeing that it's hard to forget that what's going on isn't real... It is hard to take it seriously and actually be frightened by it. Especially when so many of those horror flicks are totally predictable. XP And in the end, Allamorph really summed it up the best as to why people simply ignore such stuff. The ones that get me the most are the movies based on a real psycho's story, it's a little hard to not get unnerved when you know that what you're seeing did at one time really happen to some poor soul. I'll admit that those do creep me out a little.
 13.
I'll show up then. I'm going to delete my last post, cause' it was just filler.
I really wish you wouldn't do things like that. XP Even if it was filler, there's no reason why your character couldn't have said her goodbyes to the other Shinigami she was with and joined the others. Plus, it's jarring when you're working on the story and a player deletes something that was a part of it for a while. Because in the end it still gave us a bit of a feel of what your character is like. :p
 14. Welcome to OtakuBoards Saya Minatsuki, I'm going to close this thread since it's usually a good idea to put more into it than the simple statement you posted. A little more quality and content is expected when starting a thread. A good example would be this thread here: Share Your Birthday? And since that thread is open to everyone, birthday or not, why not take a moment to head over to Wiki and find out a little more about your birthday to share with everyone else when you post in it? Anyway, I look forward to seeing you around, if you have any questions feel free to pm myself or any other member of the staff here at OtakuBoards. ~Rachmaninoff Thread Closed
 15.
Oh, you'll see what Nakeisha is thinking soon enough. I had to read the post a few times to make sure I didn't miss the park where you explained what she was holding, but thank you for leaving it open for me. I'm just going to post a short bit about her 'equipment' and then I'll be ready to board. -Shy Edit: Posted!
Hehe, oh that was priceless! I love your posts with Nakeisha Shy. :catgirl: I laughed and laughed when I read that one. I mean I figured she'd be eccentric but I never imagined what you posted! Fun!
 16. Op. 2. Coda "Well I think it's a given that the information on the song is pretty useless." Alex grimaced. "Not to mention it's certainly not pleasant to listen too. I'd hardly consider that music." He leaned back against the half wall running along the edge of the roof before finally sitting down, moments later Lucia joined him, holding her communicator between them so they could both see the information on the screen. "I have to agree, even if there is a clue in the lyrics themselves, I believe we'll find out more from the files we got." She pulled up the first one, the name of the file: Seras Valkyrie. The more they read the more Lucia's expression became one of distaste. It was pretty easy to guess why, with her dislike of human technology, to find out that such a huge cooperation existed globally would be quite irritating. Gangs and crime syndicates were among the worst among the humans for being destructive for personal gain. Once we find Aeru, I just know she's going to give the higher ups an earful. A thought that Lucia echoed when she spoke. "This is unacceptable." She stated in that flat voice she used when she was truly annoyed. Alex just kept his mouth shut and continued to read. The next file, which was about a vampire known as The Count was the most interesting, if only because it was thought that a large mansion along the seashore just outside the woods of the town, belonged to him and his followers, who according to the file, consisted of nearly nothing but children. "I wonder if it's this Count who took Aeru. Other than the blonde one, the vampires who attacked us earlier were mostly kids. If he really is in the mansion mentioned here, that would make sense. The file on the Seras Valkyrie cooperation didn't indicate any major offices in this area." He looked at the other bits in the files on rouge or rather mercenary vampires as well as one about the theory that quite a few vampires simply stayed hidden. "Most likely," Lucia said as she closed her communicator. "It's close to this city and even the file the government has mentions that this Count has declared an intent to destroy the Shinigami. Though obviously the government does not put any stock in this claim and believes that Shinigami is merely some code word for a political enemy." She hoped off the edge of the wall and started pacing back and forth, clearly thinking. "Code word for a political enemy?" Alex wondered, confused as to what she meant. She stopped and stood facing him. "I've heard of a wealthy and powerful Count living in this area, but until I saw the file I never once thought that he was a vampire. If what we read is correct, then someone like that would have a lot of enemies both politically and otherwise. Kidnapping Aeru would mean that he perceives the Shinigami as a threat, for more than the obvious reasons." Alex just groaned, "Lucia," he whined. "I hate politics. And to be frank you're making no sense at all. I mean how could he not perceive us as a threat?" "It's simple Alex, unlike other vampires who seem to try and remain hidden or at the very least attempt to avoid attracting our attention, he openly kidnapped Aeru. Which means his ambitions must include more than a life of hiding in the shadows." She looked at him as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, electing yet another groan from Alex. "So what you're saying is he is not content with simply hiding from us?" Lucia nodded, "Exactly. I would imagine that he has ambitions that our presence would interfere with." Alex just sighed again as he hopped off the edge he was sitting on and flopped down on the roof on his back staring up at the stars. Moments later Nall settled down next to him. "I wish Adrian would hurry up and get here. I'm ready to go and see if Aeru really is at this Count's place." Lucia simply nodded in agreement and sat down next to Alex. Ruby took off and sat down next to Nall. "Hey dummy." Ruby said. "Why don't we go and grab something to eat?" She reached up with her paw and poked Nall. "We're waiting for Adrian." Nall said stuffily. "Besides we don't need to eat." Ruby rolled her eyes. "Oh come on. That cafe had some some rather tasty fish. Besides, it's close enough that we'd know if Adrian and the others arrived. Don't be so serious Nall." She twitted as she took off and headed back towards the cafe. "I am not being too serious Ruby!" Nall objected even as he followed her. Ruby just laughed and then the sound of the two of them arguing among themselves faded as they moved out of range. Alex laughed a bit once they were gone. "I see that Ruby still has a thing for fish." Lucia just shrugged and then turned her own gaze up at the stars. Once Adrian and the other's arrived, they'd get this mess taken care of.
 17. Oh I agree, it was fun, even if some of those clues were next to impossible to figure out. Still I miss it already, since it was fun hunting things down as well as writing the final posts. So congratulations Prem. Now we just need another event to play with. XP
 18.
Feel free to put Nakeisha on the boarding party for the space station. It seems like fitting revenge. Heh. -Shy
After that post by Beth... I'd say it's a given that Nakeisha is going to end up on the boarding party for the space station. lol *pokes Matt* That's your cue to post! I can't do the rest of my objective until the team is over at the space station. *pokes Matt again for good measure* After all, I'm sure Beth was planning on poking you. :p EDIT: o_O Gotta love surprises. I totally missed that I would be going over to the space station. *reads his objectives again* I guess the two of you left it vague on purpose. Or it's your revenge for the poke Matt. lol Anyway, the bit with Dr. Rhodes at the end there, I figured with how she dragged 'proper' tools and equipment along that she showed up carrying something weird or eccentric. Which is why Michael is thinking, what is she thinking? I can change that if you wish Shy. Still I just can't imagine her showing up without doing something. Though I didn't specify what so I wouldn't mess up whatever you have in mind Shy, well if you have something in mind that is.
 19. Gather my things huh? Michael waited until the others had left the conference room before finally getting up to head towards his own quarters. He was just in time to catch the back of Dr. Rhodes who was clearly irritated, muttering to herself before she finally disappeared around a corner. Michael let out the breath he had been holding in. "She's going to be interesting to deal with." He said softly to himself as he traversed the corridor towards his own quarters to figure out what would be best to bring along. A moment later, a quick swipe of his own IDT tag and the door opened and then closed behind him once he was inside. Michael didn't need to look at his clothing to know that what he was wearing was probably not suitable for going to the abandoned space station. A casual business suit may have been the norm for his previous job, but the description of what this job might entail had encouraged him to pick up something to bring along for circumstances where being dressed more casually would apply. It took him a moment to pull out the tan khaki pants and shirt that he had bought along with light boots which would be much better for walking than the business styled shoes he was wearing. Michael had wondered if he was wasting his money, but now it seemed like it had been a good idea to invest in the clothing. Even more so when he picked up the small pocket translator that he always had. About half the size of a CCB and he had made sure to pick out pants where the right side pocket was the perfect size to hold the small translator. He checked it briefly to make sure it was working and then stuffed it into the pocket and secured the clasp in place. Then a few more odds and ends went into the other pockets and he was set. Michael picked up the CCB on the desk and turned it on to pull up the layout of the ship. At the back on the same level as the conference room and just past sickbay was the door leading to the transport room. A quick glance at the clock showed that nearly fifteen minutes had passed, Michael started to reach up to turn the CCB off when the screen went dead. What? He tried to turn it back on, only to get no response. I thought these things were pretty failsafe. Not only that, surely they would have been given equipment that was in good condition. Michael started to put it down and then changed his mind, deciding to mention it to Brianna, after all, if they had been given faulty equipment she would want to know. He looked around his quarters for anything else he might have missed and then, grabbing a jacket he left, heading for Brianna's quarters since he still had a little time before he needed to be at the transport room. Michael had only gone a short distance when he saw Brianna coming from the direction of the transport room. "Dr. Henderson." Michael called, catching her attention, continuing when she stopped and looked his way questioningly. "I thought you would want to know that the CCB you gave me quit working." "Quit working? Are you sure?" "Yes," Michael tried to turn it on again, but to his surprise it did so, working as if nothing had happened. "Well that's odd. A minute ago it crashed and refused to turn on." Brianna reached out for it and Michael responded to the unspoken request, giving the CCB to her. He waited while she took a look and finally shut it down. "I'll see to getting you a replacement, did you need one to take to the space station?" She continued when Michael shook his head negatively. "Very well then, I'll have Dr. Erickson or Dr. Rhodes check it out when they have time. In the meantime, I suggest you get going." "Will do." Michael said with a wry grin, heading past Brianna towards the transport room. Quickly he tossed the light jacket on then double checked to make sure all his pockets with stuff were secured. He walked around the corner only to halt at the sight in front of the transport room door. What in the world is she thinking? Michael opened his mouth to speak and froze when Dr. Rhodes turned to face him, her expression just daring him to say something. Wisely he shut his mouth and kept what he was about to say to himself. "That's your idea of being prepared?" She shot at him, her expression one of astonishment over her perception of his apparent stupidity. "I'm beginning to wonder how any of you got chosen for this assignment." Oh boy. Michael thought as he tried to respond as neutrally as possible. "I'm a translator Dr. Rhodes. I'm afraid I have no experience or training on how to deal with situations such as this." He looked around for Kendra Erickson, but she was no where to be seen. Michael looked back to the communication terminal in the wall next to the door leading to the transporter. I hope they call for us soon, he glanced back at Dr. Rhodes who was slightly preoccupied with something else. Then she can be the Colonel's problem and not mine.
 20.
Again, I really apologize for this long-awaited and extremely late post. Shun me, stone me, whatever. I really do apologize.
No offense, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has lost interest in this due to the delay. XP I'm not one of the authors and I found it annoying as hell.
feel free to be annoyed, I'm just being honest here
Anyway, congratulations Matt, also... Are you still planning on putting up more? Though considering how this pretty much died I have my doubts about that. If I wasn't so terrible at writing myself, I'd attempt to challenge someone to a duel, but honestly. I'd just get clobbered. lol That and I've no interest in waiting forever for a judgment. *shrug*
 21.
When I want something nice and hot I tend to drink hot spicy apple cider. Now that is good stuff!
Oh I agree, lol I love different types of hot apple cider. Given a choice I'll take that over hot chocolate any day. But then I don't really care for chocolate. I do occasionally have hot chocolate, but not very often. Though when I do, it's a given that it has to have marshmellows in it.
 22. I'm surprised that no one has recommended Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King yet. Style wise it's done like the anime DragonBall, and the overall graphics and storyline is fantastic. Basically the story goes like this:
Dragon Quest VIII begins when the evil jester Dhoulmagus steals a magical scepter from Trodain Castle. With this powerful scepter, he transforms the inhabitants of Trodain into thorny plants, as well as changing the king into a toad-like monster and the princess into a horse. The hero, a young Trodain guardsman, is the only resident to remain uncursed. Accompanying the cursed king and princess, he hunts Dhoulmagus, in hopes of restoring Trodain to its former glory.
With fantastic music, great voice acting and each main character having different skill sets you can develop, making it a great game for replaying, it's one of my favorite anime styled games. Just go here to check out more as well as seeing a trailer on the game: Site
 23. I've never been into Cosplay for the simple reason that I've only been into anime for about a year and a half. However, having just been to my first anime convention last week, seeing all the people who did dress up kind of made me wish I had. It looked like fun and I've always enjoyed dressing up for Halloween, so at that moment it seemed no different. So I guess next year I'll have to consider going dressed up, though I haven't a clue as to what or who or even how to make the costume since I don't sew. I'm sure I'll think of something though.
 24. I think your description really fits it Fasteriskhead. Fortunately I don't deal with people like that very often. Probably the worst that I run into is students who take the drama approach to attempting to get out of their homework. Once or twice I could see, but the entire semester? At that point, no sob story is going to keep you from getting a failing grade from me. I've run into a few others, but they were more of a mild case who upon subtle hints that you didn't want to hear their sob story, did in fact shut up. Most of the time I don't mind hearing it once, but the ones that will, if given a chance, tell you the same story every single day, are quite annoying.
 25. I'm not a big soda drinker since having it on hand in my apartment requires carrying it up three flights of stairs since there is no elevator. lol So I get a twelve pack of Fresca and have it on occasion. But not very often. I do like lemonade, but then that's because you can get it in a powder form which doesn't weight a lot when you're taking groceries up to where you live. I think when I move I'm going to get an apartment on the bottom level or live in a complex that actually has an elevator. Though I'll probably just continue to drink very little soda.
