And done Aaryanna_Mom. You guys have no idea how much I had to 'dumb' that down to hit the required 500 words. I was over by quite a bit. And using so many cliches? That was painful. lol But what will be even more painful is if Sandy misses some of them. >_<

?Don?t tease her so much Rei,? A girl with bright pink hair said. Sasuka lowered her hands, ?He?s gone right?? Sasuka breathed a huge sigh of relief, ?That reminds me Himone I thought you were getting contacts. You?ll never get a boyfriend if you keep wearing those glasses. Guys can?t see your eyes through the reflection!? ?I know, but? I?m afraid of them.? ?Forget that.? Rei said. ?We?re going to be late.? ?I know, but haven?t you heard? They?re replacing principal Daisy with that pervert Kakashi who got fired from the High School on the other side of town!? Sasuka shuddered. ?I hear he steals underwear.? Several hours later after classes the girls were outside eating lunch. ?So tell me Sasuka, about your outfit.? Rei nudged Sasuka. ?You know the one you transform into.? A huge vein popped out on Sasuka?s forehead as she fumed. ?I don?t want to discuss it. A sailor suit that looks like something out of that stupid anime Sailor Moon is not an outfit.? ?Aww! But I think it?s cute. Even if the skirt is short.? Himone said. ?I wish I could do incantations.? Sasuka reached up and touched the gold locket her mother had given her the day she told her about her heritage. She was distracted by a rustling sound as Fuzzers snuck out of her backpack, picked up her box lunch, opened his mouth big enough to shove her entire lunch in and ate it in one gulp. ?Hey!? She cried as tears gushed down her face like a massive waterfall. ?You glutton! Now what will I eat?? ?I can?t help it, I was hungry.? Fuzzers said indignantly climbing back into the backpack. ?Now, now. Don?t cry Sasuka.? Rei handed her some of her lunch, moments later Himone did as well. Sniffling Sasuka took the food and ate it. Finished she and the others got up. ?We?d better hurry.? Sasuka said gathering her things. ?Hina said she was going to fix her own lunch today.? The girls all froze in place as they realized what window they were standing by. Time seemed to stand still as giant drops of sweat formed on their foreheads. Seconds later a huge explosion rocked the school and a giant cloud of smoke flew out the window engulfing the girls where they stood. Leaving them facing a gaping hole in the wall with a short blue haired girl facing them. All of them covered in soot. ?Too late.? Rei said with a groan. Hours later when the sound of the final bell tolled and all three girls quickly made a dash to leave, they stopped at the sight of a group of guys standing out front. Making lewd jokes at all the girls passing. Without a word, ignoring the freshman that covered his face, blood trickling from his nose and between his fingers as Rei passed by, she pulled out a huge mallet easily twice her size and clobbered the boys making jokes before putting it away.
Come on, flowers, it's your turn now. I would hate it if each person took a week to post in this challenge...
Sorry Sandy, like Aaryanna said, I've been busy. I had some written exams this week. I guess we should have posted to let you know that A_M was going to start. Though I didn't know she ended up needing to be in the hospital for a bit. >_< If the others don't have time, once I've gotten some sleep I'll be able to post if the others already have commitments for the weekend. Now that my tests are done I have plenty of time both later today and tomorrow. I swear if it's not performances it's written exams. :animesigh

I Forgot What You People Look Like (Image Heavy)
Rachmaninoff replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in General Discussion
It sucks to not have a regular camera. And the camera on my cell phone doesn't work right. Also I'm too cheap to buy a new camera to replace my old one that died. :animesigh Anyway... Here's what I look like. Me One of these years I'll figure out how to start looking older. It's pretty sad when your friends all make you look like a teenager. I don't even drink and I can't go anywhere with my friends without getting checked for identification all the time. It gets old. The same conversation with whoever is running the place... yes I'm 26, no my Id is not fake. Meh. -

Michael is still currently employed at the capitol as a translator. -Has a unique talent in picking up new languages rather quickly, even if only to understand them well enough to speak the basics. Learning to read them takes longer of course. Reason for Applying: Michael is tired of sitting behind a desk. Though he enjoys his job he has always wanted to travel among the different territories. He has always wanted to get involved in exploring new worlds and cultures instead of relying on information being brought to him at his current job. Michael wants to be the first one to hear a new language for the first time, to be the one who discovers something new. In many ways he's an explorer at heart. Living Immediate Family: Jessica Travis - Mother William Travis - Father Both parents are retired. Other Expertise: Cryptography - Michael is also skilled at encryption and decryption and often spends a fair amount of his spare time figuring out the cipher or rather key to different encoded messages. Both ancient and those used for computer programs such as military transmissions. Nothing thrills him more than figuring out an encryption that has been declared unbreakable. It has however, gotten him into trouble a couple of times.

A Flock of Dodos: The Evolution and Intelligent Design Circus
Rachmaninoff replied to Starwind's topic in General Discussion
So what? you don't think I know that? People won't fight to get math gone for good because that would be the wrong thing to do. But being forced to learn about religions you don't care about for a whole semester! I don't care about Hinduism because I'm happy being a Methodist. And if I were forced to learn about Hinduism I'd surely fight to have myself removed from that class. Why? Because it would interefere with my riligious thoughts. Having to learn about some other god for more than a unit; I'd be pissed.
Prem, you've missed the whole point of a religion class in the first place. It isn't designed to force you to change your views, it's suppose to help you learn about others beliefs, become more tolerant, etc. Not to mention said classes can be very interesting to take. Personally I think such a class would be fun to take since there just isn't a huge exposure to other beliefs, culture and such where I live.
Surely education should cover a more varied curriculum than the 'either... or...' of Darwinism and Creationism? Both should be studied, in my opinion. And .. Starwind is it? Are you or are you not being as narrow-minded as these "bible thumping rednecks" by completely rubbishing their side of the argument?
Agreed. In my opinion we need to stop shoving different possibilities aside just because they don't agree with what we were raised to believe and that goes for both sides, those saying as you did Starwind where you pretty much bashed the religious side, and those who are the religious ones bashing what they don't believe in. I didn't get any of this in school until I got to college since the schools skipped over the topic completely. Which was rather pointless in my opinion. It didn't stop me from learning about it in the end. All it did was make those who tried to hide the other view or pretend it didn't exist look stupid. -
Friday the 13th is no more unlucky than any other day. It's the nitpicking and fine tooth combing for unlucky anecdotes that make it seem more unlucky than most.
Agreed. There's nothing about the day that's any different than any other day. I've never been superstitious but I do have to admit that it is fun reading about the silly things people believe. Though most movies that play on that sort of thing are rather boring, if only for their predictability factor. Ironically, if not for seeing the thread, I wouldn't have even thought about it being Friday the 13th tomorrow. Now I'll have to find some stupid horror flick to watch with my friends tomorrow just so we can poke fun. But then we do that with pretty much any horror show that uses superstition as part of the plot.
My god...help me. I can't stop watching the damn opening to this show. I havn't even seen a single episode yet (nor will I probably start watching it) but I stumbled upon this on youtube yesterday and it's trying to attack my brain with cuteness overload. Though now I finally know what the hell is in Desbreko's sig.

Actually, that's exactly how I described the entire experience. Each episode has a moment that finds me with my head bashed up against the desk half the time. Yet there's some kind of cuteness factor that keeps me sucked in, I've been trying to fight it but i've already gotten to episode 10 [/B']:animestun
I just find the irony in those posts too funny. Since it seemed to have sucked you in pretty quick in spite of your intent to not watch it. lol However, after getting curious I finally checked out the first episode and now here I am, done with the second and planning on watching the third. This is one of the wackiest shows I've seen in quite a while. With all the serious chat about how to eat and grill, to Kotana
not being interested in clubs since it would interfere with watching anime
It's hilarious. And that Lucky Channel at the end? Where in the first episode little miss show host suddenly
reaches into her shirt and scratches herself
before going off on a rant. Good lord! I just laughed and laughed at that. The second episode was equally as fun. With the May laziness and the I'll just cram bit. lol Now I'm gonna have to keep watching this show. lol

Well it's not like it's a secret since it's right in my profile where I live. And that is Salt Lake City, Utah. The state capitol. It's a pretty decent place to live, lots to do and plenty of things to see. And in spite of what everyone thinks, Utah may be where LDS/Mormon's settled initially but Less than 50% of Salt Lake City's residents are members of the LDS church. Other area's like where SunfallE and Aaryanna live have a much higher percentage. Altogether LDS members make up about 62% of Utah's population. So there are a lot of non-Mormon's like myself living here. Also since it's pretty easy to get long winded over all the neat stuff around here if you really want to know just go here: Salt Lake City Probably the coolest thing about Utah is that we have five national parks. And one of my favorite things to do with my friends is take off for a weekend to go and do some hiking. And that doesn't even include all the other great places one can go to.

Well aside from having no interest, my anti drug is my career or rather what I want my career to be. I already enjoy what I do so I've never felt the need to do something like pot or any other illegal drug. I don't smoke or drink either. Though I do use different alcohol's for cooking though. Beer batter fried fish is good stuff. I have friends who use drugs. Most of them it's a weekend type of deal. They stay clean during the week and party on the weekends. And sadly a few have let it ruin their lives. But so long as they keep it out of my apartment, since it's a non-smoking lease and I don't want to get kicked out. I don't care. That and I hate the smell of smoke/pot and alcohol so I'd rather they weren't getting drunk there either. But they usually do that elsewhere anyway so it's rarely a problem.

I guess the other two bans must have happened before I became a member then. Though I certainly hope we don't see a fourth time. >_< EDIT: Okay I went and looked in Otakupedia under Mitch. That guy is talented at getting himself banned it seems. Meh, I'm still glad he's gone though.
I don't see why there's a huge circle jerk over that ban. I mean, come on, like no one saw it coming with those posts. Anyway, OB is a forum that's sometimes fun and maddening at the same time. But, that's what makes it interesting.
I don't see why you're surprised that so many people are glad to see him gone. I mean, come on! Like you didn't see that coming! :p I do agree with the other point though, this place can be extremely maddening at times. Heh, which is why the ignore feature is such a handy thing to have.:catgirl: Though truthfully I've only used it a few times. And CC was one of those times. But still I think it says a lot that for the most part people get along just fine around here.
Since you apparently can't drag yourself away from the site (despite hating it), I'll do the job for you.
Thank you. Honestly, THANK YOU! That's one of the best posts I've read since I became a member here. :catgirl: Anyway... Now that that's done. OB just seems like a fun place to get involved in discussions, RPG's and whatnot. With the occasional drama thrown in that fortunately is nipped in the bud before it becomes a real issue. That and it's great for meeting new people that otherwise you'd never get to. Oh and as for you DB, Trust me, when it comes to being annoying. You don't even come close. There's just no comparison at all. I'd take five hyper, perverted clones of you on the boards over just one CC any day.

Kerstin had barely fallen asleep on the sofa in the room with Daniel when Blaine's men had returned, this time there was seven of them and when they came straight for her, for one horrible moment she thought that the promise of educating her was about to come true. But two of them had immediately went to the bed and gotten Daniel and the leader had yanked her to her feet by virtue of grabbing her right arm with his left hand. Ignoring her protest as they took her and Daniel out the door to the quarters and down the hallways. As they went around a corner, Kerstin barely had time to register that it was Jared who was leading what appeared to be a heavily armed team when the one who had her by the arm jerked her sideways, placing her between him and Jared. And then everything went blank. She didn't know how long she was out, but as she slowly came to she couldn't seem to think and as she stared stupidly at the ceiling she couldn't figure out where she was. But then as the stun blasts started to wear off and she started to look around she realized that Darren was sitting in a chair by the bed, A tentative smile on his face. "Darren?" Kerstin struggled to sit up, a terrible urgency filling her as she looked around and didn't see Daniel. "Where's Daniel?" Darren got up and helped her to sit up. "He's fine, he's in the next room." Kerstin just looked at Darren for a long moment and then threw herself at him bursting into tears. "I thought I would never see you again." She cried as Darren simply held her, tears running down his face as well. She tried to tell Darren what had happened, but Kerstin couldn't control the sobs enough to be coherent. And after a while she stopped trying. Until a while later when she had cried herself out she finally pulled away a bit from Darren. "Sorry about that." Darren just sat down on the bed next to her and pulled her close, kissing her on the forehead. "Silly, there's nothing to be sorry about." "You don't understand Darren! I should have listened to Jared," Kerstin choked. "The things Blaine and his men did." She stopped as the tears started all over again. "It's all right. The doctor already explained what happened to Daniel." Darren smiled a bit. "He's going to be just fine." Kerstin just choked again. "It's all my fault." She said miserably. "Kerstin, it's not your fault. If anyone is to blame it's Blaine." "That's not what I mean," Kerstin said tearfully. "What I'm talking about is Daniel. Every time Blaine's men would do anything to hurt me, he would interfere." She choked at the next part. "They tortured him repeatedly, even when he couldn't move, until he was unconscious." Once again Kerstin lost control and cried all over again while Darren just held her. Waiting for her to calm down again. When she did he reached up and brushed the tears away. "It's okay Kerstin. Please don't blame yourself. Not only were you and Daniel recovered, but Blaine was caught and arrested. Jared assures me that he won't get away with what he did." Kerstin nodded leaning into Darren, still feeling the urge to cry. "I'm sorry." She said all over again, allowing the tears to simply flow down her face. "I just can't help it. They were so horribly cruel to Daniel." Darren just held her close, relived beyond words that she had been rescued. "Like I said silly," he teased her slightly. "There's nothing to be sorry for." He hugged her tightly, his own voice tight with suppressed emotion. "I'm just glad that you are okay." He finally let go when Kerstin pulled away again. "Gods, I'm so tired." Darren just chuckled a bit as he moved back to the chair by her bed and sat down. "Get some rest then. I'll stay right here. I promise." She smiled a bit as she lay back down, curing up on her side so she was facing Darren and then even though she didn't think she would fall asleep, Kerstin did just that.

That's a great gif Aaryanna. Seems like there's a lot of that these days. Anyway... seems that our new challenge is up and I have just one thing to say... Thank God it's something I actually understand for a change. But more importantly, don't hate. I mean as silly as some of the cliches in Anime are, at least it's not rap. :)

I'm going to have to go with the stance that so long as it's got relatively good content it should be allowed. And by relative I mean decent post quality and not some list that says back story required, blah, blah, blah. There are lots of different threads that are fun that aren't really an RPG. Some have already been mentioned here. And as irritating as Des's joke closure of Survivor was, it does bring home a point. It's not fun to have an enjoyable thread closed for a reason that isn't clear. So I really think there needs to be more clarity or rather more leniency towards things that aren't in a rigid RPG format. I like the Adventure Square, in fact I tend to spend most of my time there and I know I would like to see a lot more in there. You look at the adventure Inn and other than a few projects everything is an elaborate RPG. And what makes ones like Survivor more fun is they aren't a RPG in the same sense. So I say we don't shut them down without giving them more of a chance first. So that's my two cents. I agree with having a more flexible idea of what's acceptable in the Adventure Square.

This just sucks. There's no other way to put it. >_< I did the same as SunfallE and did a draw for my vote between the two besides myself who lost their challenge. Though I got SunfallE *poke* So I voted for her to be booted off. Since it was her name that I drew. (though now that I've said that she'll probably clobber me again) Oh and though I know you're kidding White... Curse you Aces for putting us in the position of having to vote someone off. :p Because I can guarantee you the fight is far from over. ------------------------------------------
I am a bit surprised myself since it's an awfully childish move by Desbreko...but I also feel like it may just be a joke and he'll unlock it soon. So just give it some time for everyone to get it all out of their system.
Okay I can see that it's probably a joke, but seriously. What the hell? Why in the world are we being expected to wait on someone else to get it out of their system when the issue has nothing to do with any of us who are a part of this RPG? Besides Sandy? I feel like we're being punished for a misunderstanding that we had nothing to do with. And to be frank, even if it's in jest, that just seems like a move that will make things worse instead of making them laugh. :animesigh I mean Charles and Sandy are still going at it in the suggestion and feeback part of the boards. Honestly I'm with KW on this WTF! -------------------------------------
Oh dear... sorry, I didn't think such jokes that involved two people could also involve others. >_> Anyway, yeah, just delete this aswell, Sandy. I'm just a bit pissed, to be frank.
You and me both. Honestly it's just not funny. I mean Des is a site administrator for crying outloud. And I for one don't remember pranks that involved closing down threads that involve others as a 'joke' So yeah, sorry Des, far from funny in my opinion. [feel free to shot me if you wish]

Rachmaninoff replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Theater
Well that was fun to read. I rather liked people's reason's for choosing things. And I'm surprised that others found Eliana's death unexpected. Still I expected to only get the most annoying and whinny player award. I was expecting DB to sneak in a prank card to that effect. lol Also upon reflection I have to agree with Sandy about the ruthless bit, indifference was extremely vicious. I thought we couldn't vote for her. lol Still I would have given SunfallE my vote, since she did clobber two of my characters with just one post. >_< Also, congrats on the wacky death and the most brutal BKstyles. I mean I'm still getting the knee jerk reflection of WTF over the cat being sat on. Though the torched alive is more of a cringing over how painful that would be. Also... 600th post! *snags* -
*cough* And some of us will actually get an article to you this time. Heh. Especially with how nifty looking that first edition was. I especially liked the in depth one BKstyles did on the Panopticon. And the interview was an unexpected and yet nice touch. As for articles, I even have an idea, and once I think on it a little more I'll come back and announce just what it is so no one else does one on the same topic at the same time.

Rachmaninoff replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Theater
Well EXCUSE me for being on a trip to the rainy London. :P A guy takes a single day off the internet and people are already screaming at him... *rolls eyes* I'm certainly enjoying all this post-RPG-letting-out-the-steam-ambience. I knew that my "plotting" to save my characters from poisoning weren't good enough to convince anyone, but meh... Darren & DB, I'll send you PMs once I settle back in.
It just shows how much you're missed when you're gone. :p Anyway... I have to agree, it is fun to see what people are saying. And even though it exposed your characters, I thought it was rather interesting that both of your characters ended up poisoned. I mean what were the chances? Though seeing that Allamorph ended up with all of his characters imprisoned I guess I shouldn't be surprised. But still. It's kind of funny how these things go. If only to see people's reactions. SunfallE with her indicating she was pinching you and not bothering to hide that Sastasha's was hers and you attempting to misdirect people by claiming to thank the owner as if it were someone else. In the end, even though it annoyed the hell out of me [and I'm sure I've said this before] it's been lots of fun. :catgirl: -
I'm thinking that the part where Blaine get's nailed is going to be the most gratifying.
Heh, you were right. And I love how you did it Takuya. The way you had Blaine trying to find a way to weasel out of things. Even after Kiva kept telling him to shut up. Anyway... I guess once the holiday is over, we'll get going on the next part, well other than a post about Darren being happy that Kerstin was rescued that is. But I'm guessing that an execution is coming up. I don't know why I'm excited to see it, since it's obvious that it's going to happen. But still. I'm looking forward to it.

Well obviously I need to add anyone who wants to meet me as well. 2007DigitalBoy - Because once we are done electrocuting Prem he's next. Just read his post before this one to see why he needs to be shocked. Darren - Because he wants to meet me and that would be fun. And no, I'm not the better Darren. Not by a long shot. o_O Desbreko - I can't believe I didn't mention him. After all I am a fanboy. DeadSeraphim - Because a while back I forgot to get my soul delivered to him by the deadline, so it seems that I'm screwed at this point. Unless I bring enough cigarettes and booze to convince him to let me off the hook.
And apparently my revenge on Rach was correct since I figured that Mary was his, but I hadn't realized that Merik was as well, I was just determined to trigger that fate card and nail three characters instead of simply killing off Mary. :D
Which is why I think you are ruthless. You had declared that you would get revenge for my PK'ing you via my ditto card and in one post you took out my two remaining characters. o_O I was thinking... damn... she wasn't kidding about the revenge bit. lol
I don't consider them mistakes >_> I was trying to make a story that I would enjoy and I did. Yall's opinions were just in the way :p
M I S T A K E S Whether you want to admit it or not. But only because you were not a contestant. I'm sure you felt the same way about how I messed up Deoky. I tried to totally pull back after I saw everyone take off with his personality. That's one of the things that if I could do it differently, I would. Instead I would have simply had them find him and leave any interaction out. Since that scene pretty much screwed his chances over from the get go. Don't get me wrong DB, the sex wasn't because I felt it should be in it. But because as a host, it wasn't your place to add it. Remember, indifference's inclusion was a trap and the next time she added it it was based on Deoky's personality at that point. Just as what you did with the other guy and the rape. And hell even what Aaryanna did [which still shocks the hell out me that she did] It all was done by contestants and was consistent with the developing personalities of the characters in the Maze. You didn't see anyone making Clavis have sex did you? Because it would have gone against his personality. Anyway... Now that I'm done doing this: I'll move on. As for figuring out people's characters. I didn't get a single one right until the very end or rather it was chapter three that I started putting my suspicions together. I had Cameron pegged as being BKstyles since for what ever reason he just seemed a character that he would pick. Delita due to the elf reference earlier and then confirmed by the shield card. I figured Etamet was Darren's due to the clone card and Delilah due to a tiny protest about DB referring to all the women as whores in his posts. And then Darren went and posted making her 'nice'. At that point I was convinced she was his. Oromis I pegged as being Sandy's due to his snarky way of thanking himself for saving his character. As if he was doing someone else a favor when in fact he was doing it for himself. The same with Dafine. He had to save her from the poison since he had two characters who had been poisoned! So he moved her mind to another body and thus put Sastasha in that position instead. I figured out Sastasha for the same reason. He had to be SunfallE's Since it made sense, why give the rest of the players a free death? It cost nothing to heal them and doing so forced the others to use a death card, and thus reduce the risk of one of their other characters dying. I didn't figure out Katar though. Or Lucia. Then at the final round, before DB revived Delilah, since everyone had only one character, I knew Mary was mine, Etamet was Darren's, Oromis was Sandy's, Delita's was BKstyles. So it meant that Brittany had to be Allamorphs. And based on what I already said about Delilah, I was certain that she belonged to Darren. And it seems that I was right. :) I even sent DB a pm in fun before all the killing, since I figured he'd poke fun at me if I was wrong. Heh. Anyway...Congrats BKstyles. I'm surprised I even made it as far as I did. I figured that my characters would end up dead from the very beginning let alone have one make it to the very end. -

OBJECTION! I only caused two of his to get imprisoned. [yeah I know you said only two at a time but still, I had to be clear here] SunfallE was the one who got Brittany nailed. Though I suppose since I killed Meredith that doesn't count. >_< Still Allamorph killed two of my characters. Mary and Eliana. Still all three? Damn I would have been cringing if indifference had gotten her hands on one of my characters. Like you said DB she may have only been in part of this RPG but damn if she didn't have a reign of terror going on. Every time I saw that she had posted it had me going...HELL! Anyway...I've sent you my choices as to the awards and such. -
My favorite part of this game had to be writing the story posts. Yes it's true, they consecutively got me into a ton of trouble with the players (namely Rach >_> whiney little) anyhow, it was fun.
:p Someone had to smack you upside the head and keep you inline. :D Anyway... I assume you want all of our responses via pm? As far as the voting goes?
