Though it probably wouldn't hurt to now research that name and expand on what you already have. And I'd wait for a bit before starting it. If only because I'm sure I'm not the only one who would want to wait for a bit before joining another one. lol

Something I've already been doing this week as well as for the past couple of months. However I have been trying to listen to different rap songs/hip hop/whatever. And yeah, damn if they don't take pretty melodies and ruin them with that horrid chant they call singing. Sorry if that's harsh, but it's hard enough getting to the end of the stupid song let alone thinking about making lyrics to go along with it. >_< In spite of that I have picked a couple of songs that I intend to work with as soon as I'm done with my performance tonight and tomorrow evening. Those performances are part of my grade for this semester so naturally it comes first. Once I'm done I'll have time to finish things up. I do have some ideas so I'm hoping to have it done either Saturday evening or sometime on Sunday. I hope that's all right with you Sandy.

Oromis, Brittany and Julian continued on their way. All of them shaken by what had happened, but none so much as Julian. He kept thinking that if only he had not touched the pedestal. Lucia and Mary would be alive. His stupidity had killed them both. First Lucia as the lasers cut her apart and then Mary who due to being unconscious died from her own shocked reaction. All because he had been a fool. In fact this whole time he had been here he had been a fool, doing little to help. He didn't notice when the scenery changed, he just followed along blindly. Saying nothing. Julian was beginning to believe that there was no exit that the CCC had toyed with them from the very beginning, letting them think there was indeed an exit when there was not. Only when he stumbled on a the edge of a shimmering block did he realize that him along with Oromis and Brittany were in what appeared to be a huge room. It looked like transparent glass that shimmered like a rainbow. Made of tiles that were a foot long and wide that covered the entire surface. Floor, walls and ceiling. Startled he stopped, causing the other two who were half way across the room to the next hallway to turn and look at him. "[B]What are you waiting for fool.[/B]" Oromis finally asked him when he did not move. Julian didn't know. And part of him was frozen by some sudden feeling of dread. It was a feeling that saved his life as a split second later huge sections of the floor tumbled downward, nearly taking Oromis and Brittany with it. Julian leaned over and looked down. He could not see the bottom, nor did he ever hear the section of the floor that had fallen hit. Oromis sighed, "[B]What did you touch this time idiot.[/B]" "[B]Nothing! I swear![/B]" Julian said. He turned on the small group of tiles he was on to look behind him, but there was no door. "[B]I don't understand! What am I suppose to do?[/B]" For the spaces between the sections left were too far for one to jump. At least for him. Both Oromis and Brittany had already made the short jump to the section of the floor by the door. As if to answer his question one of the tiles rose up until it was just above his waist in front of him. With a hum it began to glow and then a holographic board appeared. But he didn't recognize the symbols, though it did look very similar to a chess board, but the symbols and then the pieces that materialized did not match anything he knew. "[B]It looks like I'm suppose to play some sort of game. But I don't recognize any of the pieces! It looks like chess but I can't be sure![/B]" Julian looked pleadingly at the other two. "[B]Describe the pieces,[/B]" Oromis instructed him. Julian quickly did so but Oromis just shook his head. "[B]I'm sorry, but I don't recognize them either.[/B]" "[B]Neither do I Julian.[/B]" Julian started to reply when a voice interrupted them. [B][I]Please make your move, failure to make a move within one minute will result in your turn being forfeit.[/I][/B] "[B]Shit![/B]" Julian swore as he moved to push one of the holographic pieces forward. But before he could do so the other side moved. At the same time a piercing pain shot through his right foot and he looked down to see that the edge of a tile was poking into the side. "[B]Ahhh! What the fuck![/B]" Julian staggered as he reached down and pulled it out. "[B]Dammit! What the hell was that?[/B]" Blood began to flow from his hurt foot. "[B]It's the walls Julian![/B]" Brittany called out. "[B]When the other piece moved several tiles shot across the room! Hurry and make your move![/B]" "[B]God damn motherfuckers![/B]" Julian screamed as he quickly moved a piece. Shifting to put most of his weight on his left foot. Watching as the other side immediately moved when he had made his move. He continued the game, blindly pushing pieces, sometimes taking out some on the other side while other times when they took his he was punished by more of the tiles flying around the room. In no time he was bleeding all over from various cuts due to the sharp tiles. But even worse, he had only a few pieces left where the other side had more than half remaining.. "[B]I've only got two pieces left, I hope this works,[/B]" he said to himself as Oromis and Brittany looked on. He was glad they had stayed, but pissed that they were unaffected by the damn trap. Julian took a deep breath and pushed a piece towards one of the others. To his surprise the holographic game vanished and the tile sank back into the floor. [I]Did I win? [/I] The voice spoke up yet again. [I] [B]Game Over...You Lose...[/B][/I] "[B]Noooooo!!!![/B]" Julian yelled even as dozens of tiles detached themselves from the walls and swarmed him, slamming into him painfully, until finally with a sickening crunch several connected with his head in unison. Kerstin had been awake for hours but Daniel was still sleeping, and considering what had happened yesterday, she was not surprised. Other than to make sure he was still covered by the blankets, Kerstin had slipped out of the bed carefully to avoid waking him. It hadn't taken her long to get cleaned up and dressed. Again in one of the dresses Blaine insisted that she wear. And then she had curled up on the sofa in the room, doing her best to not cry again. If the time on the display above the panels where the clothing was kept was correct, it hadn't even been a day since they had been kidnapped. Yet to her it felt like an eternity. Sandra and Jared had told her that Blaine wanted Darren dead, and even though she knew they were not lying, she had found it hard to believe. But now...she knew better. Blaine and his goons had not stopped with torturing Daniel. That had only been the beginning. Yesterday, both of them, at Daniel's insistence, had changed into the clothing provided. While doing so Kerstin had been surprised to discover that Daniel had an old fashioned locket with an picture in it. He had not shown it to her, rather she had noticed the chain and practically helped herself to it, reaching up and opening it to take a look in spite of Daniel's protests. Something she did not understand, after all usually having someone's picture like that close to you meant that you cared for them. But Daniel had hastily tucked it back under his tunic and said it was nothing. Blaine's men however had not been kind about it at all when they finally came to get them. They had scanned both of them and then took any personal belongings they had, including Daniel's locket. To Kerstin's surprise he had actually resisted them taking it from him. Only confirming her belief that whoever the woman was she was important to Daniel. But Daniel had been no match for the five of them and they took it from him and then laughed at him over it, making lewd jokes about the woman in the picture. Something that though he tried to hide it, upset Daniel. Then the one leading them had cruelly tossed it to the floor, smashed it by stepping on it and then destroyed it with his disruptor. Leaving nothing but a tiny burn mark where it once had been. Kerstin had been furious and attacked the one who destroyed it without thinking. That had been a mistake. He had calmly backhanded her, sending her flying into the wall, stunning her. Kerstin had never been hit by anyone, ever. And in the end they had punished Daniel anyway, activating the disruptor restraints. It had sickened Kerstin to see them enjoying the pain they were causing Daniel. Never had she felt so helpless. And when they finally had their fill of that and had then forced them to go with them to where Blaine was she had been to shocked to put up much of a fight. The rest of the evening hadn't been much better. Blaine was unbelievably arrogant as well as vindictive and cruel. Taking pretty much any opening or any incident of what he considered improper behavior from them as an excuse to torment them. Daniel had taken the brunt of it. Interfering anytime they started getting too rough with her, in spite of being tortured repeatedly. Until finally Daniel had been unable to even move. Kerstin looked up from her spot on the sofa when she realized that Daniel was starting to wake up. She didn't understand why he had even tried to protect her. No matter what he had done, Blaine and those goons of his always found some reason to hurt one of them. And in the end, before they had finally brought them back to this room. Daniel had ended up lying on the floor unconscious from the disruptor's and Kerstin had been on the floor next to him, begging them to stop with tears running down her face. Something that Blaine had seemed to enjoy. Kerstin sighed as Daniel started sitting up in the bed. Looking around and then upon seeing her he asked how she was doing. Kerstin choked back a sob, even though Daniel said it wasn't her fault, she still felt guilty. [I]If only he hadn't been on the elevator yesterday[/I]. And yet the thought of being here alone terrified her even more. Making her feel even more guilty that she was glad Daniel was there with her. [I]God I hope someone finds us soon. [/I]

Breaking up...honestly I can't say that I've had a really bad break up. Probably because the few relationships I've had that started to get more serious ended by virtue of her moving elsewhere and the two of us eventually moving on. It didn't make it any more fun, but it wasn't because we decided that things weren't working. Most of the rest have been a case of realizing within a very short time that even though we had fun, beyond simple friendship there just wasn't anything else. We didn't connect in a meaningful way at all. Opposing views as well as lifestyles have often been the biggest problem I've run into. And by opposing I mean that quite literally. It's hard to get along when your date enjoys things you find distasteful and vice versa. Probably the worse one, if I can even call it that since it was completely one sided, was one where I had the crush on her. But she never felt the same way, ever. That took a long time to finally let go. Oh and there was that psycho stalker who wouldn't leave me alone even though we'd never been on a single date. I'm sure I mentioned her before and frankly I'd rather not go into detail again. It's safe to say, she was and still is, insane. And I'm glad I haven't seen her this year, yet.

Gotta love it, I only started watching anime about a year ago so for me 'old school' would have to be the very first series I saw...Fruits Basket. Even though that isn't really old school. lol It is a great show though. Oh and I saw Evangelion, or however you spell it and I was not impressed. So I can't say that's a favorite. In fact I'm glad I rented it instead of wasting my money on buying it.

Anime hasn't lost it's touch, if anything with improved dubbing and better translations anime is better than it use to be. It has increased as far as shows being aired, but hardly to the point where it could even be considered as taking over.

Merik was furious, at least as much as he could be with all the pain he was going through. Every single step was misery. Every time his foot came down lances of pain ran up his legs. Either he finally reached the limits of what one can endure, or his body finally started producing some of the natural chemicals that reduced it. It still was horribly painful but the steps became a bit easier and so long as he kept his left eye shut his vision was a lot easier. Not that it was a big improvement, what with the featureless metallic corridors that seemed to stretch on forever. There were different directions he could take but he didn't really care, simply choosing which ever required the least amount of walking. [I]What happened?[/I] He could remember almost everything since he had arrived in this place, but other than a blinding flash he couldn't remember where he had been, who he was with or how he had ended up here in so much pain. He had a vague memory of Oromis and someone with blue hair, but what they had been doing or how he had even met the person with blue hair was a mystery. He couldn't even remember what her name was. "[B]Dammit![/B]" He cursed as he turned at a junction and headed down yet another metallic corridor. "[B]What the fuck happened? Why can't I remember![/B]" Merik started to slam his fist into the wall and thought the better of it.[I] How am I suppose to get out of here like this?[/I] Tears were running down his face from the pain. [I]I don't know how much longer I can go on. [/I] It was true, his rage had carried him on for hours but now, the sheer pain was wearing him out. Painfully he opened up a set of doors and entered the room. Surprisingly it was the waiting room to a doctors office. "[B]What the fuck?[/B]" For a moment he thought he was finally out of the place, but then a few minutes later it became obvious that the place was empty and even though there were windows to the treatment rooms the outside appeared to be a black void of some kind. "[B]Damn if this place isn't freaky as hell.[/B]" Merik was about to head back out into the metallic corridor, he even had the door open when it hit him. He hadn't even looked for any medical supplies. Cursing colorfully he turned and headed back, painstakingly going through the rooms and opening the cabinets and drawers. Finally a closet had what he wanted, loaded with the samples doctors often gave out. Then about half an hour later after he had taken some of the medication he recognized as pain killers and then found a bag to take the rest with him. He headed back out towards the doors, stopping when he saw a small break room. Inside was a vending machine with snacks and different drinks, including bottled water. Merik picked up a chair to smash the glass only to be surprised when he realized that the door to the machine was unlocked. He opened it up and snagged a bunch of the water, ignoring the stuff he would have normally taken. Water, though boring would work the best, as well as crackers instead of junk. Then when he had finally loaded up as much as he could handle, he headed back out into the corridor, feeling a tiny bit better now that he didn't hurt so damn much. If only he could remember what happened that lead to him being hurt in the first place. It was maddening to be able to remember all the other horrible stuff that had happened and yet be unable to remember those events that were the most recent.[I] I wonder what happened to Oromis? Or who ever that girl with the blue hair was?
