Well there's no need to post about it then, is there? :whoops: Anyway, I think it's quite funny at times, seeing people who deserve it. Mostly everyone, that is... PA did a strip about it last week... That pretty much sums up how I feel, heh.

Flash: Heh heh. I doubt Soviet occupied territory is the safest place for a girl like yourself to work on her tan. Lethe: I know how to take care of myself. Flash smiled, picking up a box of cigarettes. He pulled one out, and offered it to her. Flash: Smoke? Lethe: Thanks. Lethe took the cigarette and lighter he passed her. Christov then called his Brother's name, and tossed the box to him. Arano whipped a similar lighter from his pocket, and lit a Cigarette. Lethe handed the golden flip-top lighter back to Flash. The lighter was engraved with a silver hammer and sickle emblem. Lethe: You don't smoke? Flash: Only when I'm stressed. Lethe: You're sitting next to a woman who's been hired to kill you, and you're not stressed? Flash: I know you're not just all beauty, Lethe, you've got alot of brains as well. And any smart person would know that to collect a bounty, it helps to be alive. If you killed me, Arano would dispatch of you in a second. Arano smiled, and nodded, in between puffs. Lethe: Confident. What if I killed both of you at once? Flash grinned. Flash: Heh heh. Well, I suppose I'll just have to deal with that if it comes down to it. But please, let's not talk of such grave matters. You want to work on your tan? I hear there's a Private recreation area on the roof, reserved for the Generals. Would you care to join me? Lethe: I guess it couldn't hurt. Flash and Lethe stood up, and Arano followed. There was a bar on the roof as well, and he hadn't had a good Vodka in nearly a week. He was parched from the heat, as well. 'Vaceslav can wait', Blank thought to himself, making sure to lock the door behind him as he exited. The sun was just coming up, casting a harmonic orange glow over the Operations centre and Coastline.

Well, I live in Christchurch, New Zealand, as I'm sure so many of you know. I lived in this little rural town called Rangiora for awhile, when I was much younger. Uh, that's about it, really. I lived in Rapid City, South Dakota for three months earlier this year when I was visiting my Dad.. That was pretty cool (especially considering he had Cable... *drools*).

Arano spun around, Forty-fives drawn. He wasn't the type of guy to be hung up on killing someone; Attractive or not. He walked towards the door, where Christov and the assassin were standing, face to face. Blank: This is her, the assassin? Flash: Indeed. Arano looked over her once or twice. He liked what he saw, but he kept his guns aimed. Memories of the incident with a British Tanya flooded through his mind. Christov gave her a once-over, before deciding on what to do. He grinned, and stood aside, ushering the female assassin into the room with his hand. Flash: Lethe, was it? Please, come in. Arano nodded to Flash, and lowered his guns. He knew exactly what Flash was upto. 'Heh heh. Good luck, Bro.', he thought to himself. 'Save it for someone who needs it.' was the Telepathic response he got from his Brother. Christov walked over to a well stocked bar on the other side of the room, and grabbed a glass and bottle of premium Vodka, holding it up to Lethe. Flash: Drink?

The plane landed smoothly. The entire area was secure at the Soviet-Cuban Operations Base. So secure, in fact, that Arano and Christov were given a Generals welcome. Red Carpet, Infantry all lined up in squadrons. There were hundreds, maybe thousand of men at the landing strip alone. Blank was relieved to see that the Soviet troops were appropriately geared up for battle in the extreme conditions. Lightweight, cooled flak armour, and gas masks, supplying cooled, purified air so that the soldiers could fight at their best. All armed with KF7 assault rifles, and DD44 Dostovei pistols at their belts. They all saluted as the Les frères d'Armageddon walked past, along the crimson red carpet. Holding his Chrome suitcase tightly, Flash scanned the area. There was a large terminal directly in front of them, with several exits. Looked like the carpet and guards were leading them to the southern most one. Standing at the door was a Cuban man, dressed in an officers uniform. He was a captain. Probably the one in charge of ceremonies like this. 'Or maybe he's just our tour guide', Christov thought to himself, jokingly. It was a good sixty metres to the terminal. Blank: I guess Lieutenant General Vaceslav think's he's too good to greet us, eh? Christov didn't respond. He just stood there, a slight smile on his face. Arano raised his eyebrow, looking at his brother awkwardly. Blank: What's up with you? You've got that look in your eye. Flash: Oh, it's nothing. I'm just tracking that assassin to our right. Blank: What?! Blank went to grab his guns, but Flash put a hand on his shoulder. Flash: Don't draw attention to yourself. She's of no threat to us. Blank was highly skeptical, but at the same time, he trusted his brother. Flash's Psychic abilities were amazing. He could know everything about everyone, as soon as sensed them--And the person he sensed would know nothing of it. Blank: Are you sure? How would she get out to the strip? Flash: Cuban guards are slack... And from what I gather, she's quite stealthy. Don't worry about it. Blank: She? Flash: Yes... She's in it for the cash, quite a large sum. She'll try to strike me when we're alone. With all these guards around, it'd be suicide for her... Then she wouldn't have a chance to spend that fat reward. Blank: Heh heh... Most impressive, Christov. Flash: I try my best. Flash and Blank stopped in front of the Cuban Captain, who saluted them, and showed them to their room. It was on the sixth floor of the massive complex, which doubled as a Officer's barracks and an Operations centre. 'Quite impressive', Arano thought to himself, as he threw his suitcase on his bed. Next to him, Christov placed his Chrome briefcase down on a desk, flicking the hinges. The lid rose up very smoothly, revealing documents on one side, and a very neatly stacked pile of clothes on the other. Blank: That all, Christov? Flash: Heh heh. Not quite. Flash pressed a tiny button on the interior of the case, a secret compartment in the lid revealing itself. It it were Flash's Tesla magnums, along with some spare Energy cells, and some other fancy-looking assorted weaponary, Including that pair of Uzi's.. Blank: Who are they for, Christov? Flash: I'm holding on to them for a friend. With that, Flash closed the compartment after withdrawing his Magnums, and began sorting through documents. No doubt Lieutenant General Vaceslav would wish to see them soon.
Originally posted by NeoCactuar Ahhh!! Stop it, everyone is calling the books a series. They're not! The only reason that it was split into three parts, and six books, was because it was during the war and there was a shortage of paper. Hence why the books don't read like a normal book, (Beginning.. conflict.. resolve.. ect...) as anyone who has read them will know.
Exactly. It's even more annoying when people think The Two Towers is a 'sequel' to the Fellowship of the Ring.. -__-;

The door opened, and several officers walked in. There they were, uniforms all proper, hair cropped short and kept tidy. Nearly all of them were older than Flash and Blank, in their thirties, forties and fifties. There was the occasional officer in his twenties, but they were all rookies. Flash grinned as he watched the officers file in, one after another. He could see the envy and disapproval in their eyes. They hated having a pair of such rebellious young Generals. Their procedure was totally uncouth, going out and fighting on the frontline, such sloppiness with their uniforms. Of course, none of them dared to say anything. Not that Flash didn't already know. He knew virtually every thought that ran through the heads of everyone in the room. Psychic powers were a blessing indeed. Once the officers had all sat down, Flash and Blank stood up. The two Commanding Generals activated the Screen, and the massive map of the world reappeared. Europe was dominated by the Soviets. The Allied defences were breaking in Germany, and South Korea, Japan and China couldn't hold out for much longer in the East. In Africa, Libya and some Iraqi forces were pushing south, easily conquering the continent. Mexio was held, with help to Russia's Cuban allies. the Soviets held various points in the US, and it was time to Siege the rest of it. Flash: Good evening, Gentlemen. I trust you're all well? The room remained silent. No-one spoke. Flash and Blank just grinned. Flash continued with his speech. Flash: We hold territory in New York, Mexico, and Maryland. More troops are currently arriving in California. We shall have San Fransisco by the morning, if Commander Mezinov's strategy goes as planned. Flash looked at a middle-aged man sitting at the middle of the table. He nodded to the General, and Flash nodded back. Flash: Troops will be advancing into Texas soon. We have Naval forces in the Gulf of Mexico ready to strike. Blank: Our next step is to take the capital, lower the morale of the Americans. Also, if we can capture the President, the nation will be in shambles. Flash: But obviously, this will be a difficult task. The Americans have an entire army posted here. We'll need to weaken their defences from a distance at first. This is why we're rolling in V3 Rocket Launchers and Dreadnoughts, along the coastline. Blank: Soon after that, we'll roll in a force of roughly sixty tanks, along with a hundred-some infantry. We have decided not do use Kirovs... The Americans have far too much air defence. Flash: I'm leaving this operation up to you, General Golovach. Arano and myself have business to attend in Mexico. We will be in charge of the operation into Texas. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a plane to catch... Flash and Blank casually saluted the officers at the table, before leaving the room. Heading towards their room, they only needed to pick up a few personal items before leaving to the Cuban Operations Base just below the American border.

Personally, I think Tomb Raider two was the best in the series. The music, the gameplay.. It was really great for it's time. Even now, I like it more than TR3, or TLR (Though it comes close). Chronicles didn't make any sense to me. I'm sure 'Tomb Raider; Dark Angel' on the PS2 will bring the series back up to scratch though. ^_^
-
Sure, X-Box is the most powerful system, but hey, I don't have the extra cash to build another room to house the thing, ya know? The way I see it... PS2 and the 'cube are pretty evenly matched. The Gamecube may have superior graphics, and cost less, but the PS2 has the third party support, and the ability to play DVDs... And we all know what I think of the X-Box.

I was with NeoC, and yes, we finished most of it. I can't remember if we did it all though, but we did get to play as the Ninja. Don't get your hopes up, though, he's not as good as I thought he'd be. Basically, his Stealth and 'Electric Shock' moves take up his energy/life bar, and it's really short.. (Think Snake at the beginning of the game). He's still pretty fun to use though, I guess. :)

10:36pm, Soviet Atlantic Command Centre, New York. A man strode through the corridoors of the facility. Open commander's Jacket, laden with medals, exposing a white T-shirt beneath. On his forehead sat a pair of large goggles, the type used by gunners on the field. His pants were a dark red colour, baggy, and he wore a pair of black combat boots. A door in front of him read 'Weapon Research and Development'. He entered, and was greeted by a group of labcoat wearing scientists. Most of them were males, in their mid to late forties, but there were a few younger men and women in the room. One man, with short-cropped grey hair, and round glasses approached him, smiling beneath his moustache. Dr. Vchekon: Good evening, Comrade General. Flash: Good evening... Doctor, do you have my weapons ready? Dr. Vchekon: Of course, Sir. Another Scientist walked up to Vchekon and handed him a briefcase, black, with a Red Hamer and Sickle printed on one side of it. Dr Vchekon nodded, and handed it to General Flash. Flash grinned as he recieved the package. Opening it, he found three pairs of weapons. For him, Twin Tesla Magnums. Dr. Vchekon: The very finest in design and power, Sir. The power cells have enough energy to fire roughly fifteen shots. The clips are rechargable. Flash nodded, and shifted his gaze to the next set of weaponary; A pair of .45s. Dr. Vchekon: Ah, the Forty-fives. It was hard, but we made them work. With Tesla-powered Electromagnesis, we've achieved a weapon that fires bullets at ballistic speeds. And the best thing is that it takes standard ammunition, eighteen bullets a clip. The General nodded. These weapons were for his Brother, Arano, most commonly known as Blank. He shifted his gaze to the final set of weapons. Two Uzi-sub machine guns. Dr. Vcheckon: The 'special' you ordered, Sir. It rapidly fires small pellets of Tesla energy. The clips each hold approximately one hundred rounds, but be careful, it does chew through them quickly. Flash grinned, and closed the briefcase, gripping it tightly with his right hand. Casually saluting the Scientists, Flash left the R&D lab, the briefcase held securely next to him. He walked through the near-empty corridoors, passing the occasional guard, heading for the offcers lounge. He knew his brother was waiting there.

Iota: Where's he off to? Havoc: I, uh, guess he has some to think about.. Iota nodded. The elevator hit the third floor, and Havoc stepped out, turning around to face Iota. Havoc: I guess I'll see you later. Iota smiled and waved to Havoc, pressing the button to sub-level one--The training sim room. 'Might as well get back in the swing of things', the told herself, as the lift slid smoothly down the elevator shaft. With that same monotonous 'ding', the elevator doors opened, and Iota walked out into the training room. The place was pretty empty at this time of night. It was 11:00 pm. She walked up to the door of a Holographic battle sim, and entered. There were eleven other battle simulators. Twelve in total. They were the simplistic ones--Battle with upto ten Holographic opponents. There were aslo four mission simulators. They were more advanced, and could simulate missions with multiple objectives, for those who wanted to do some strategic training. Finally, there were two 'Display' Simulators, which featured viewing areas where people on the floor above could watch. They were the most advanced of the Simulators. But Iota was fine in this one. The door slid closed behind her. The room was about ten metres long by ten metres wide, and seven high. The walls were made up of many one by one metre panels. A holographic console appeared in front of her, and many options were available, ranging from battle location, time of day to background music. She set the options, and began the sim. Computer: Commencing Simulation. Location: Abandoned Factory. Time of Day: Dusk. Background Music: None. Enemy count: One. Enemy ID: Sim-Maverick. Difficulty Level: Five. Iota watched as the environment loaded around her. In under thirty seconds, it was ready. Her opponent faded into view. He was a Generic Maverick, faceless, armed with a Buster-like weapon. She drew her guns, and launched herself towards the Maverick.

Name: Amidriena (Ami for short) Age: 18 Race: Hylian Character Class: Knight Gender: Female Appearance: Ami has golden blonde hair slightly shorter than shoulder length, and deep blue eyes. She has some of her hair pulled foward into a braid. She wears a dark leather vest, and a pair of matching shorts. Ami also wears alot of belts and buckles, just out of personal interest. She usually wears knee-high boots and fingerless black gloves. Background/Bio: Orphaned at birth, Ami has never known her parents, or even her real name--If she even has one. She was discovered by a small group of Hylians, one of whom was an Archer. Searching a place to leave the newborn in safety, they took her to the Sanctuary. The archer of the group, however, refused to part with the infant, and opted to stay with her. She named the infant 'Amidriena', her own middle name. When Amidriena was only five years old, she was taught to use a bow, and use a bow well. By the age of ten, Amidriena could fend for herself using her skill as an Archer--And so she did. Her foster mother/guardian left, and Ami was alone once again--Only this time, she was ready for it. She became a Hunter and a Wanderer, wandering the world of Hyrule, searching for somewhere to settle down. She hasn't found that place yet. Starting Location: Kakariko Tavern, Kakariko Village, Light World. Primary Weapon: Longbow and Quiver Secondary Weapon: Twin Mithril Shotels. Items: Titan's Mitt, Red Boomerang, Pegasus Boots, Magic Cape Spells: Lightning Arrow.

It's the moment you've all been waiting for, Ladies and Gentlemen, the final eviction for this year's Otaku Big Brother contest. In this contest, you vote for who you want to win. Don't get it messed up, or you might end up voting the person you wanted out to win. And we couldn't have that now. Just be forewarned--If you DO make a mistake, I'm not going to change it. Happened too much in the last eviction (whenever that was... o.o) Anyway, uh, good luck Voting? o_O;

Name: Christov 'Flash' Karakkaze Alliegence: Soviet Military: Russia Age: 29 Description: 5'10", average to slim build. His greyish white hair is spiked into two large shoots at the front, and tied to a ponytail at the back. He has only one tattoo--'Excessum' along the back of his hand, leading to his index finger. Bio/History: The older--and smaller brother of Arano 'Blank' Karakkaze. While Blank outguns Flash in Brute strength, Flash has the power of Psychic strength, through rumoured Genetic Modification, and training as a student of Yuri. Flash was born during the Cold War, and enlisted as soon as he could into the Army. Much like his father, he harboured a hatred for the Capitalistic West, and longed for the day when the Soviet Empire would claim it's rightful place at the top of the world. Supplemental: Flash's calling lies not so much on the battlefield, but in the Command Centre, controlling units and commanding battalions. Of course, this doesn't mean he's any less dangerous on the battlefield. Rumoured to be Genetically Engineered; One of the Les frères d'Armageddon. He speaks nearly any language flawlessly. EDIT; Here's a rough sketch of Flash and Blank, chest up. Flash looks a little weedy, though. -.-'

Back then? This is set in modern days... I'm assuming you're a girl, and if you want to be a chick, you're more than welcome. There are plenty of Female commandos on the battlefield. (Tanya, anyone?) ;)

That's really interesting, but I'm sure people can ponder this themselves.
