It started after World War II. Using Chrono technology, Albert Einstein created a time machine, and travelled back in time, in an attempt to assasinate Hitler and stop the tragic loss of life and horror that followed in the War. Einstein's effort was admirable--He succeeded. Hitler was killed, and there was no World War. However, this pathed way for something much more terrible. Joseph Stalin, leader of the Communist Soviet Union, sent waves of tanks into Europe, crippling Allied forces. Germany, France and other supporting Allied countries were crushed by troops pouring out of Russia and Ukraine. Soon, it seemed as if Britain would be the last free country. In a last stand, remaining Allied forces rallied, and with the help of their extensive navy, they were able to force the Soviet forces back, finally overwhelming them at Moscow. The Allies declared victory, and the war was over. The Soviet empire crumbled. Flash foward to present day. The U.S. is knee-deep in apple pie and amber waves of grain. The Red Menace is all but dead, diluted into the World Socialist Alliance, a harmless humanitarian organization with U.S.-friendly puppet leader Premier Romanov shaking hands and making speeches. Peace and prosperity reign. Then the reports come in. Reports of U.S. citizens in the southwest U.S. succumbing to fits of dizziness and nausea. Others falling into a state of zombie-like submission, turning against both family and nation. Intelligence reports soon link the disturbance to a Soviet presence in Mexico, where, with a nod from the U.S., Romanov's WSA troops are supposedly putting down an insurrection. But it's soon revealed as an elaborate ruse, as Soviet troops?like none the Allies have ever seen?storm Texas, then California, and other major cities. Planting mysterious beacons along the way, the Soviet troops are led by psychic generals who use their minds instead of munitions to push forward with their invasion of the U.S. In the cities, Americans take up arms against their neighbors. In the country, patriotic farmers weep as they watch their cows?strapped with explosives and saddled by mind-control?march into military installations to explode in deadly clouds of beefy, succulent shrapnel. President Dugan opts for a decisive nuclear strike. The red phone rings. The button is pushed. Nothing happens. By now, intelligence sources confirm the worst: Romanov is behind the siege, and he's using the most mysterious?and terrifying?technology to date: psychically enhanced troops whose minds are as deadly as their AK-47s. Premier Romanov's full agenda is soon unveiled. The Premier has for years used the WSA as a front to develop a global network of Communist allies who want to see the Hammer and Sickle replace the Stars and Stripes. Having developed his psychic technology in secret for years, Romanov finally has the means to do it. Romanov's motivations, meanwhile, are more personal than those of his communist cohorts. Still stung by the fall of the Soviet Union after the Cold War?memories that have haunted him since his childhood?Romanov has long promised to make America pay for its crimes against Mother Russia. And he's found the perfect way: not by destroying the last bastion of the free world, but by using mind-control technology to cripple his Allied enemies, leaving the infrastructure, defenses and resources of America free for the taking. Romanov plans to turn the United States into the premier Communist republic of the west. Its nuclear arsenal temporarily disabled, the U.S. gathers its conventional forces?and some unconventional ones. Using its own time-warp technology to thwart the Soviet foes, the U.S. and its allies rally to stop Romanov's twisted plan. Will it be Stars and Stripes or Hammer and Sickle? The final battle?on American soil, in American cities?will determine the fate of the free world. Who will you serve, Soviets or Allies? Note--I am only going to be allowing one other person to be on the Soviet side (Well, guess who I'm with, then.) Post your application for enlistment in either army here. If you choose, you may be a Civilian. Name - ... Allegiance - To the Soviets, or the Allies.. Military - To which countries Military do you belong (If Any). Allied Countries are as follows; America, France, Germany, England and South Korea. Soviet Countries are Russia, Iraq, Cuba and Libya. And please, no Soviet Americans, or anything stupid.. Age - ... Description - Physical Description.. Bio/History - How your character acts/their history/details.. Supplemental - Anything else you'd like to add.. This should prove interesting.

OOC: God modding... Tsk tsk, you shall be punished. ------ ...But the portal didn't close. Not in time. The Fallen Angel thought he was all but safe, but sadly, he was mistaken. For just as Ryan turned his back to the closing portal, a gloved hand reached through, pulling the Dark Angel back through the warp, and throwing him sharply to the ground. Before he could move, a heavy black boot was pressed down on his chest, and the perfectly forged edge of a sword pressed against his throat. If any more force were applyed, it would easily cut the skin. Ryan struggled to make out who his assaulter was. Before he could, the figure spoke out, laughing at the grounded Ryan. Simikiel: Haha... You bring true meaning to the term 'Fallen Angel', Ryan. What a pathetic sight you are. Ryan: I suggest you remove your foot from my chest, Angel, or I shall remove it from your body. Simikiel shifted his foot upwards, placing it on Ryan's neck. He pressed his sword slightly harder, drawing blood. Simikiel: Silence, fool. What will you do? Set your 'lord' Satan on me? Ryan: Haha... If Satan were released, you would be reduced to nothing in an instant. Simikiel: Surely, you jest. Satan was no more than a meager Angel who fell from heaven. I was there when it happened, Ryan. Do not underestimate me. Ryan: Haha... You're past your prime, Simikiel. You are no match for me. Ryan's face etched a wry smile, and he felt for a black vial at his pocket. As he got a hold of the small glass tube, Simikiel thrusted the Apragsin through Ryan's wrist, and stepped down on his Neck. The Fallen Angel screamed in agony, and his forearm went limp. Simikiel: What are you going to do, Ryan? Splash your lord's tainted blood on me? Get my nice Trenchcoat all dirty? I think not. Ryan: You... will pay for this... Simikiel.. Simikiel: The Angel of Vengeance fears nothing! As he shouted at Ryan, he picked the young demon up by the neck, and threw him up into the air. Ryan saw this as his chance. He attempted to regain his composure, reaching for a vial of Satan's blood with his good arm. However, his attempt at recovery was short lived. As Ryan fell back down in front of Simikiel, the General of the Holy Legion shot his fist out, cracking Ryan in the chest, and knocking him back hard into the portal, which closed behind him. Ryan fell flat on his face on the other side, battered and bloody. In Jerusalem, Simikiel grinned, and walked back towards the battlefield.

Okay you guys, I bet you're getting anxious. And with good reason too. As you may know, I haven't done an eviction for nearly two weeks. Today, I begin the final eviction. *thunder crashes* All of you are up for nomination, that's all I can say. Good luck, and god speed.
Originally posted by DarkOrderKnight OOC: Maybe it's just the Chocobo De Electro song I've been listening to for the past hour but this RPG seems to be growing by leaps and bounds!
It has. And it's Electro de Chocobo, not Chocobo de Electro. ;) ------ Simikiel unleashed Glory on a large horde of charging Demons. With his six pearly wings outstretched to their full span, massive eruptions of white lightning obliterated a mass of the Unholy beasts. Nothing impure survived the attack, and Demons were turned to dust with each strike. After decimating the Demon's forces with his powerful spell, Simikiel returned to the ground, to enjoy the thrill of battle with a sword. As he landed, Demons backed away. They weren't as stupid as they looked. They recognised the power of the General of the Holy Legion. With a Sadistic Grin, Simikiel lunged Apragsin foward, through the torso of a nearby Demon. The Demon shrieked in horror, before his entire body was reduced to a smouldering pile of black ashes. The Apragsin was like a vaccine and antidote to the unholy plague. One by one, Demons fell to Simikiel and the Apragsin. From behind him, the General of the Holy Legion heard a massive roar. Pivoting to face the sound, he found himself mere metres away from a Hell Knight. Often refered to as 'Knightmares' by the Holy Legion. A Hell Knight stood at roughly 14 feet, a cross between a Golem and a Demon. Molten lava ran through it's veins, which was visible through cracks in it's skin. They were armed with crude weapons, Maces, Claymores, Clubs and Axes, all formed in the massive forges of the Underworld. The Hell Knight swung at Simikiel, who jumped backwards as the Hell Knight's morning star crashed into the ground, throwing dirt and stone upwards. The goliath Knightmare lumbered foward, swinging madly at Simikiel, often hitting demons on his own side. Powerful as they were, Hell Knights were mindless, stupid drones. Thankfully, the Hell Knight was focussed on Simikiel, and not the gates or walls of Jerusalem, which he could most likely crush with a few blows. Simikiel dodged another attack from the Knightmare, before finally taking action. With a swift upwards motion of his right forearm, a gigantic beam of holy light burst upwards from the ground beneath the Hell Knight. The pillars of light continued rapidly growing until it reached a good 70 metres into the air. Then, from the end of it, three more beams of energy shot out from it, each 30 metres long, forming a massive cross of light in the midst of the battle. The Hell Knight was obliterated instantly, even his ashes were totally erased from existence, along with any Demons unfortunate enough to be caught in the immediate area next to the cross. Grinning, Simikiel continued with the slaughter of the unholy beasts.

Gameplay Armoured Core 2 was great. Zone of Enders was smoother, though. Story I liked the Armoured Core 2 Story as well, but I'm going to have to say Final Fantasy Seven, for obvious reasons. Interaction w/ environment Red Faction! Geo-Mod owns you. A.I. Metal Gear Solid 2. Graphics I don't like the game, but Final Fantasy X had brilliant graphics. So did Resident Evil: Code Veronica X (to many X'es..). Weapons/Vehicles Vice City, just because of the Hunter. Sound (Music/Effects) Tough. Legend of Legaia, or maybe either of the Silent Hills... Those damn sirens.. *hides* Size/Length Vice City, because it's huge. Creativity/Design Timesplitters 2. Map making mode. Ownage. Gore/Violence Vice City. But on the other hand, State of Emergency... -
Jeez, that's one cute bounty hunter. But one query--She obviously can't kill anyone with that pea-shooter. What's she gonna do? Cute her prey to death? o.o;
-
Well, I always liked the Gundam Wing opening theme, but only because I used to be a Two-Mix addict, heh heh. But now, the Evangelion opening, Cowboy Bebop opening and Bubblegum Crisis opening will forever remain at the top of my list.

Ha ha ha! Oh my god, that's funny. I saw this on the Panel one time. It's just a massive joke alot of people took seriously. Ha ha... You can't raise a cat in a jar, it's impossible.

Simikiel opened his eyes. He was in the temple, at the heart of Jerusalem. The others were coming, just as he had intended. Whether or not they would even be needed, though, Simikiel was unsure. And it was a good thing. The General of the Holy Legion looked outside, seeing masses of Angels slaughtering Demons at the gate. He smiled. Attaris hadn't even arrived yet, and they were annhilating everything Hell's army were throwing at them. But Simikiel feared that their numbers would soon increase greatly. Suddenly, a massive rush of wind crashed into the Demons beyond the city walls. An Icy wind, freezing the unholy beasts dead in their tracks, left to be shattered by th Angel bowmen. Simikiel grinned. Attaris, Angel of Winter, had arrived, with his 100-strong battallion of Ice-Angels. These lesser angels were stronger than the regular Angel soldiers of the Holy Legion, and blessed with the power of Ice magic, which made them fierce warriors indeed. Simikiel rushed outside, greeting Attaris as he landed from the heavens. Simikiel: Attaris, old friend! Thy arrival is much to celebrate, but alas, we haven't the time. The Demons are no match for us now, but I expect their numbers to triple in coming hours. Attaris: I see, Simikiel. Ne'er mind, for now that I am here, we have an army worthy of raiding the throne of hell itself. No Demons shall survive. Simikiel: Excellent. Please, feel free to use the temple, or if you wish, join the front line. I know I'm going to. The two Archangels grinned at each other, and each drew their respective weapons. Simikiel; Aspragin, the sword of God, and Attaris; the staff of Arctic Wind. Side by side, the two Generals charged into the frey of battle, destroying demons by the handful.

Well, I've only heard 'Rockin' the Suburbs', and that's a great song. Maybe I'll have to give some of his other stuff a listen sometime.

Iota smiled at Havoc as she entered Signas' vast office. Signas was sitting at his desk, looking slightly agitated from his meeting with the two Hunters. Iota approached him, noticing that the Commander looked as if he was waiting for someone. 'Could it be me?', she thought to herself as she walked foward. Signas: You must be Iota. Iota nodded. She stood casually in front of the Commander's desk, as there were no chairs around. Not that she'd need one--The meeting would be short. Signas: Well, I know why you're here. You want to become a Hunter again, don't you? Signas spoke with fustration. He sounded angry, and fed up. Iota could tell--Her advanced hearing had a Stress-recognition feature. She paid it no notice. Iota: Yes, I do. As Signas opened his mouth to speak, someone else stepped out of the Shadows from behind Signas' desk. He was tall, above six feet, with emerald green eyes and a bald head, a black tattooed line running from his bottom lip to the bottom of his chin. He was clothed in a full-length black trenchcoat, with electric blue piped rimming. He had a long black braided ponytail around the back of his head, and wore a frown on his face. His name was Duke. Duke: You've been found conspiring with an Exiled Reploid, and that constitutes as treason. Why, you deserve to be court martialed, not let into the Maverick Hunters. In fact, it would seem you were once a Maverick yourself. Your reputation preceeds you, Iota. You would be wise to leave now, before we assume you as the enemy. Iota was shocked to say the least. Iota: Who the hell do you think you are?! Duke: I don't think I am, I know I am. And I am Duke. Signas grinned. 'Finally, with Duke's help, I might regain command of the Hunters...', he thought gleefully to himself. Something he hadn't had for a long time. 'Ever since Flash was killed, everything's turned to hell.'. Signas: Get out of my office. Duke: Don't go wandering. Iota angrily pivoted and headed straight out of the Commanders office. 'Who the hell is this Duke guy? No-one told me about him. What a Jerk.'. Suddenly, what Duke had said hit her. Don't go wandering. 'Did he mean... What I saw on sub-level eleven? But... He couldn't know. Then again, he knew my name... Who is this guy?'. Her anger turning to anxiety, she entered the elevator, only to see that Demos and Havoc had not left the floor yet. She put on a disappointed wry smile. Demos: Huh? What's wrong? Iota: It looks like I won't be getting in. Havoc: You're kidding.. Demos: ...I am so sick of that idiot Signas... He knows we're understaffed and overworked.. And here he is turning down some of the best talent we've seen all year?! What's he thinking?! Demos' knuckles turned white with stress. Clenching his teeth, he slammed down on the 'Open Door' button. Demos: I've had enough. Demos stormed into Signas' office. He brought his clenched fist on the Commander's desk so hard that it nearly cracked in two. He didn't even notice Duke at first, but soon enough, Demos reared his head and glared at the mysterious figure. Demos: Who the hell are you? Duke: My name is of no importance to you, for you will only address me as 'Sir'. Demos: How about you tell me who you are, or I blast you a new asshole right in the middle of that shiny forehead of yours. Duke: Au contraire, Demos. You are far inferior to me. You wouldn't so much as scathe me. Demos' eyes flared with rage. Arming his buster. Demos considered in which way to annhilate Duke, and how to do the same for Signas. Duke smirked at Demos' obvious enragement. Duke: Calm yourself Demos, or I'll have you in permanent Isolation. Demos: I'd like to see you try to get me into Isolation, baldy. Demos averted his gaze from Duke, and set it back on Signas, who was looking very smug. Demos leaned over the desk, grabbing Signas by the collar. Demos: I'll slice that smug complexion off your face, you pathetic excuse for a Commander. I'm enstating Iota into my squadron, whether you like it or not. Duke: That goes against--- Before Duke could finish his sentence, Demos snapped. He Aimed his buster at Duke without even taking his eyes off of the quivering Signas. Duke reacted with lightning speed, his eyes glowing, and the energy ball stopping dead in it's tracks. Demos raised an eyebrow. With a flick of his wrist, Duke disapated the sphere of light into a thousand fragments. Demos remained unimpressed. He threw Signas down into the desk, and left the office, not even giving Duke a second glance. He reached the elevator, and stepped in calmy, pressing the button for the third floor. Havoc: How'd it go? Demos: He'll need a new desk. Havoc knew at once what that meant. Havoc: Welcome to the squadron, Iota. Iota smiled at both Demos and Havoc. Iota: Thanks, you guys. Oh, and Demos? Demos: Yeah? Iota: Who's that Duke guy? Demos: I have no idea. But I have a feeling he'll be becoming much more annoying in future. The elevator continued down the shaft, silently and quickly reaching the third floor...

Turn the game back on, and the serpent should be pretty far away from you. Repeat until you get to the cave. It may take long, but it's easier than catching a chocobo. Iota slammed the door of the Infirmary behind her. Her artificial heart racing, beads of sweat running down her forehead. She looked around. The Mechanics were finishing up on a now active Warlock, and it seemed that Xion was there as well. Iota approached the table where Warlock lay, his chest opened up. He looked vulnerable--Something Iota hadn't seen Warlock as at all. Warlock groggily turned his head, looking at the female reploid. Warlock: Did you find it? Iota: Find what? Warlock: That... shadow you were chasing. Iota raised an eyebrow. She thought he'd been asleep. Iota: How'd you know that? Chuckling, Warlock tapped the side of his head, his temple. Warlock: Heh heh... I just know. Warlock smiled again, and Iota couldn't help but do the same. 'What a mystery', she thought to herself. Iota: No. I didn't find it. But... Warlock: But? Iota: Oh... I mean, nothing. I didn't see--I... didn't find anything. Warlock's expression changed. Frowning slightly, he questioned Iota cautiously. Warlock: Iota... You're not keeping anything from me, are you? Iota: Of course not. Anyway, how's Xion doing? Medic: He's fine. Though we've found something... Medic #2: Yes... Something abnormal, in his CPU. Long term memory, it seems. Iota: Do you have any idea what it is? Medic: I'm afraid not. At first, we thought it was a strand of viral coding, but that wouldn't be supressed so deep in his CPU. This is something else. But for the time being, it's unidentifiable. Medic #2: It shows no sign of deteriorating his body or mind. At present there's no reason to investigate further, or even tell him.. Doing either might damage him more. Iota nodded, and turned back to Warlock. The Medics were closing up his chest, and running a few vital checks via advanced computers to make sure the Ex-Hunter was back to optimum status. Once Warlock was in the green, they propped the bed up, helping him get to his feet. He held his forehead briefly, before shaking it off to regain his composure. He stood, looking just as strong as before. Iota smirked. Iota: Good to see you back to your old self. Warlock: Yeah, but looks like I'll have to get myself a new Helmet and-- Medic #3: Trenchcoat? Warlock looked behind him. There stood a female medic, fairly young looking, holding a Trenchcoat in one hand, and Warlock's helmet--Fully repaired, tucked under her other arm. She approached Warlock, and handed them both to him. Medic #3: I took the liberty of fixing them both up while you were under the knife... I hope you like them, Sir. Warlock smiled at the young reploid. He examined his coat and helmet, and nodded. Warlock: Thanks, I appreciate it. And you don't have to call me Sir. Warlock's fine. The young reploid smiled back, and Warlock put on his jet black coat and ridged helmet, pulling the visor down. He grinned, happily. He felt better than ever--The Medics had done a great job at fixing him up. Warlock: Thanks alot you guys, It really means alot to me. Medic: Think nothing of it, Warlock. Feel free to give us a visit down here if you ever need something else fixed up. Iota and Warlock left the sub-level 5 infirmary whilst the Medics returned to supervising Xion's reactor installment. The two Ex-hunters walked briskly down the corridoor, heading back to the sub-level 3 parking facility, block C-47. They reached the door to the lot, and stopped. Iota: Warlock... I've been thinking... Warlock: Yeah? Iota: There's alot of things we don't know about the Hunters. Unanswered questions. Untold Secrets. Warlock: That's true. Warlock, as old as he was, still knew that there were many secrets about the history of the Hunters, and the Maverick Virus itself. 'If only Flash was still around...', he thought. 'Flash would be the one most likely to know anything..'. Iota: Well... I think I'd have a better chance at finding the truth... If I rejoined the Maverick Hunters. Warlock raised both eyebrows beneath his visor. He hadn't seen this coming at all. Warlock: You'll rejoin? Here? Iota: It'll be no problem. I've commanded squadrons before, you know. Warlock: I guess so... But what about me? I'll be lonely. Warlock joked, forcing Iota to giggle. But deep down, he wasn't joking. He would be lonely. He'd much rather have Iota stay with him... But he wouldn't tell anyone that. Iota: Get a grip. Anyway, I'll be your informant from the inside, you know? Warlock: I guess so. I don't really have a direct informant. Iota smiled. Iota: Great. I'll head up to the Commanders office now. Signas, isn't it? Warlock: Yeah... Signas. Trust me, with this pushover in charge, you'll have no trouble getting in. Hell, raise your fist to him and he might even appoint you Squadron Commander. Iota: Heh heh.. Well, you take my Car... And my keys. Lock up my house. Iota dropped her Key ring in Warlock's hands. He took them, and looked up at Iota. Warlock: You've hardly known me a day, and you're giving me your house keys? Iota: I want them back, ya know. Warlock shrugged, and put the keys in his pocket. Warlock: Okay then. And your Car? Iota: Leave it in my garage. Don't even think about taking it back to the desert with you. Warlock: Heh heh. I wouldn't dare. Good luck. Warlock entered the door to the parking lot, and Iota continued up the corridoor, reaching an elevator. She stepped in, and pressed the button for the nineteenth floor. The lift stopped at sub-level 2. In stepped Demos. The two were both slightly surprised to see each other. Demos: Iota, right? Iota: And you're the Elite Squadron Commander, Demos. Demos: Heh. Good memory. Iota: We were together.. What, all of a few hours ago? Demos: Heh heh... Anyway. Demos pressed a button on the Elevator panel... Nineteen. Iota raised an eyebrow. Iota: You're going to see Commander Signas as well, then? Rolling his eyes, Demos replyed, cynically. Demos: I'd hardly call him a Commander. Iota: So I've heard. The elevator stopped again, this time on floor seven. Another familiar face stood there when the doors slid open. This time, it was Havoc. He nodded to Demos, and pressed the button to the nineteenth floor, as well. Iota: Havoc... You're going to see Signas as well? Havoc: Yeah, me and Demos were called up. Guess you didn't hear the message. Iota: Oh, okay. Demos: So, Iota, what business do you have with Signas? Iota smiled at the veteran Maverick Hunter. Iota: Oh, you'll see. The elevator went 'ding', and the doors slid open, revealing the nineteenth floor lobby. Iota took a seat, while Demos and Havoc approached the large, oak double doors that lead to the Commanders' office.

Well, I don't think I'm an Otaku, exactly, because I haven't seen enough Anime to be classified as one, heh. But, uh, What can I say? I like the drawing styles, and the small amount of Anime I have seen.. So, yeah. Basically the reasons I'm still here are the friends that I've made, and the Adventure forum. Roleplaying keeps me sane.. Not to mention I have an obligation to be here, what with being a Super-Mod and everything... oO;

If this is a glimpse of the future of Otaku Lounge, I just want everyone to know that we're all doomed.

Well, It's hard for me to get into Christmas Spirit around here, seeing as half the stuff associated with Christmas (Snow, Winter) doesn't happen. You know how it is. So yeah. I don't really get into the Spirit of Christmas... At all.
Originally posted by Valen Plus it only starts me with 3 seconds...
That's all to do with 'Crisis level', which basically determines how effective the limit break is. For example, say you have two of your party members dead, and the last on critical health. That person's Crisis level will be pretty high, and their limit will be much more effective; Zells will be stronger, with more time, Squalls will be stronger and will have a higher chance of getting a better finisher, etc. So yeah. If Zell is only just on yellow health, and your other party members are still alive... You're probably not gonna do much better than three seconds, heh.

Actually, I think you only lose the weapon, though I'm not sure. But I think so, and that's good enough.

Des is right--And if you have Armour like a Wizard bracelet, it really doesn't matter if you don't have any Materia slots in your weapon. Plus, the only Materia you need to carry around is Enemy Skill. Best in the game, hands down.
