Reverb exited the Comm. tower, and quickly made it to Alpha. He placed Fenir along one of the benches in the back of the APC. Two medics quickly approached him, and began assessing the damage. Fenir looked at Reverb, who just grinned back. Reverb: Don't worry. You won't be out of commission too long. He then left the APC, and headed back towards the main entrance to the tower. As he stepped foward, he heard a humming noise, and it wasn't coming from Alpha. It sounded like a jet of some kind. Reverb readied his Buster, and prayed that the terrorist faction didn't have access to aircraft. His radar picked up the source of the noise, and Reverb spun around, aiming his Buster straight behind him. Right in front of him was a small hovercar, travelling at breakneck speed towards the tower. Reverb's eyes widened, and he gritted his teeth. Pushing both hands out in front of him, two busters formed, and he began to charge a gravity based attack to hopefully repel the car. Thankfully, he never had to fire. The car came to nearly a complete standstill, and spun around in midair. It slowly began it's descent to the ground. Reverb, both shocked and angry, decided to walk over to the driver's window, and give them a good shouting at. Tell them they were meddling in Official Maverick Hunter business, and could be put on trial. That'll teach 'em, he thought to himself. He walked over to the driver's side, and tapped on the window. It slid down quickly, revealing the occupant. Reverb's jaw nearly dropped, and it would've, if he hadn't forced himself not to. In the car that he was sure was going to pummel him into the ground, was the most beautiful face he's ever seen. He blinked twice, and opened his mouth. But the words just wouldn't come out. He was awestruck. Before the girl in the car had time to notice that Reverb was totally speechless, the passengers side door swung open, and a familiar head jumped out. It was Warlock. Warlock: Ah, Reverb. She was driving, I don't usually make such a... Fuss. I like to try and stay stealthy. He glared at Iota when he said it. She just smiled innocently back. Reverb: Warlock... Why did you tell me your name was Light? Warlock: So you know... Well I guess you can work that one out for yourself. Iota: Aren't we here for a reason, 'Locky? Warlock rolled his eyes, and muttered something cuss under his breath at Iota calling him 'Locky. Reverb's heart sank for very much the same reason. 'Oh, dammit, they're probably already together...', he said to himself. 'There go any chance I had.' Warlock: Anyway, Reverb, from what I've heard about this mission, It's gonna be a tough one. I'm here to help. Reverb: But what if you get caught? Warlock: Caught? Ha. Remember, I used to be in this squad. The only person with the arrogance or stupidity to 'capture' me would probably be Zero... It's been along time since I've been with the guys, hopefully they still remember me... Reverb: I'm sure they won't have forgotten. What about... um... Iota: My name's Iota. I guess you're Reverb. Reverb blushed and smiled as Iota shook his hand. He tried desperately not to look at her skin-tight battle suit, but couldn't resist, and snuck the occasional glance in. Iota: I'm an Ex-Hunter as well, I know the ropes. I guess I'll be here helping you guys out as well. Reverb: Good. We've got one man down already, we need the help. Warlock: Okay. Let's go. Warlock flexed his hands and arms, walking shoulder to shoulder with Reverb and Iota into the Communications Tower. This was the first time he'd even been near a real mission since that day over a year ago. 'I wonder if I've still got my touch.', he wondered to himself, chuckling as he did so.

Look, I'm really confused right now. Shy's post has Sachiel arriving, yet your posts shows no sign of him, Domon (And why all the American names? I thought this was Japan). I really can't be bothered anymore. Domon, it's like you haven't even read Shy's post. I'm just going off of his. (I'll take it this is just before Sachiel appears in the series--Everyone was already in the Shelters by the time the 3rd angel appeared on screen :whoops:.) -------- The city was abandoned. Cars and other vehicles lay strewn across the road, trains had ceased service and loudspeakers across Tokyo-3 were repeating the same message over and over again.. ...A state of emergency has been declared for the Shiba/Kanto region... No-one was around to hear it. And the few that were still on the streets didn't intend to listen to it. Most people hidden down in the shelters had no idea why they were there. Embedded within the hills surrounding Tokyo-3, hundreds of bunkers formed a complex network, designed to house more people than Tokyo-3 ever had, population wise. Such precautions were standard. But to Hiro Takahashi, nothing was standard. 'I've only been here a few days,' he thought to himself, 'and already, they've called a State of Emergency. What's the problem?'. He'd only been living in the latest incarnation of Japan's former capital for a week or so, at the most. What annoyed him most was the total secrecy. 'Evactuating a whole city means something big is up. And they don't even tell us what it's about? This bites...' Hiro was lost so deep in thought that he barely noticed a light tap on his shoulder. He muttered, and looked up behind him, met by the familiar face of classmate, Kensuke Aida. Hiro: Oh, Kensuke. Hi. Kensuke: Hey Takahashi, have you seen Touji around? Hiro: I can't say that I have... Is he even in the shelter? Kensuke: I don't think so. I bet he snuck out to see what's happening out there! Hiro: Maybe. Ask him when you see him next. Kensuke: If I see him again. Hiro: Heh. Such a pessimist. Kensuke walks away, and Hiro gets back to drifting away. He wasn't beginning to like Tokyo-3.

Love the Industrial skin, I doubt I'll ever change back, heh heh. (unless you guys come up with something better--hint, hint)
Originally posted by Desbreko FF games too short? Lol...I spent well over 100 hours on FFVII the first time through. And, I'm already up to about 40 hours on FFVI, on my second time through. I consider that a pretty good length for a game.
Not to mention the enormous replay value... I've never gotten tired of a Final Fantasy game, even the ones I didn't like, like FFIX.

Reverb: Fenir, you just take it easy. Me and Nova have this one covered. Reverb turned from the wounded Reploid, and watched Nova, standing his ground and firing at the Sabre-shapped blur. Reverb was impressed at Nova's determination and skill. Grinning, Reverb decided to prove to Nova that he was just as good. He raised up his right arm, bending it at the elbow. The joint in his elbow shot out, revealing a small blade. It flipped around, Reverb catching it in his right hand. The blade extended, reaching just on 1.2 metres. It was solid metal, which suprised Nova. There weren't many blades like that left, as nearly all of them had been converted to Beam weapons. Sabre slowed down to a stop, and chuckled when he saw Reverb's seemingly primitive weapon. Sabre: Ha ha ha. What are you gonna do with that butter knife? Spread me? Reverb: Just watch. He held the sword tightly, and launched himself at Sabre, who just laughed. He rose the sword back behind his head, and brought it over switfly, towards Sabre's head. The large reploid merely raised an arm, and blocked Reverb's attack. Sabre: Ha ha ha! Pathetic! Let me show you how a real sword works. Sabre brings his own beam-sword around, and slashes strongly at Reverb, who narrowly avoids the attack, backflipping out of the way. He landed facing away from Sabre, and turned his head around. Grinning sarcastically, he stood up. Reverb: Is that all? Sabre: I call your bluff. Your meaningless banter bores me. Time to join your comrade in the corner. Sabre glared at Fenir, and then turned back to Reverb. He activated his other Beam sabre, holding one of the burning red blades in each hand. Sabre: Time to die, Hunter. Nova's eye widen, and he aims his buster at Sabre. Before he has a chance to attack, Reverb holds a hand up towards him, telling him not to attack. Nova stands confused, whilst Reverb holds his sword with one hand, pointing it at Sabre. Reverb: Why don'tcha sit back and find out why I'm called Reverb. Spinning his blade around in an impressive display of swordsmanship, Reverb clasped it in both hands once again. Only this time, something happened. The blade began to emit heatwaves, and a small humming sound. Soon, the heatwaves changed to a purple glow, and the humming sound became ear-piercing, before disappearing, changing to a frequency too high-pitched even for the Reploid's advanced hearing system. The blade glowed with a steady purple light. Sabre: Cute. Reverb: Not cute. Progressive. Reverb swung the sword around, causing Sabre to immediately block the attack with one of his own weapons. How predictable, the large reploid thought to himself. And then what he hadn't counted on happened. As the opposing blades met, Reverb's progressive sword passed straight through Sabre's blade, destabilising the blade, and sending shards of light in most directions. Sabre recoiled, shocked, but before he could react, Reverb's weapon had already slashed right through his mid-torso, sending a spray of internal fluids and small parts across the room. Reverb smiled sadistically, and brought his sabre around again, slicing the reploid's other arm clean off, revealing writhing wires and steaming hydraulics. With one final movement, Reverb stabbed Sabre right through the chest, piercing his Fusion-Generator. Sabre's eyes whited out, and bubbling, black liquid poured from his gritted teeth. The progressive sword lodged in Sabre's chest began a high pitched whine, and sent a final pulse of energy down it's blade, rupturing all of the dieing reploid's systems. Reverb drew his blade out of Sabre's chest, and sheathed it back into his forearm. Nova approached him, awed. Nova: That was... Very impressive. Reverb: Thanks... It comes naturally, I guess.. Nova: And that sword? Reverb: It's called a Progressive Sword... It vibrates at super-sonic speeds, which is why it cuts like a hot knife through butter.. The vibration also destabilises Ions in beam weapons, which is why I cut through his blade... Cool, huh? Nova grinned and nodded. Reverb went over to the corner and helped Fenir get up. Nova just stood there, watching. He'd seen a totally different side of Reverb today. On the surface he looked like your average rookie, curious and unsure. But in battle, he had changed. He fought like a veteran--No, it was more than that. It was like he was possessed. When Reverb had killed Sabre, it was more like he did it for fun than for safety. Nova closed his eyes, and shook his head. Of course not. It's all in my imagination, he thought to himself. He walked over to Reverb and Fenir, and helped him get up. Nova: I'll take him back to Alpha. He's in no condition to fight. Reverb: Don't worry, I'll take him. You're in command, you're more essential on the battlefield. Nova: Alright then. Go now, and hurry back. I'll need you back here as soon as possible. Reverb nodded, and slung Fenir's arm over his shoulder, helping him back to the APC. Nova activated his Comm. device, and contacted Demos to tell him that they were one reploid and one medic down.

I personally think Jet Li is too young to play Marshall Law. He could probably play Forest though. As for Jin... I dunno. Go to www.manji-clan.com, they have a whole section about this subject.

Exactly. If you don't get them from there, you'll virtually never find them ever again. :whoops:
Originally posted by Etarah's Maverick Xion took to his opponents one by one, fiercely slashing through the fray. He yanked up his A-Buster, using the particle-thread and cutting through the robots. He cut through a guarding line of opponents, charging right into the building. AJeh's strategy is obviously the way to go. If you have any Heros/Holys (which you should), get all your party members to really low health, and then use them on them. Irvine's limit is really good (Use Fast shot if your Attack is high enough--Otherwise use AP shot), and so is Zell's duel.
Originally posted by Zanarkand Abes I am hesitant to play games before FFVII, because I think their graphics are to primitive.
Ah, that's just being shallow. Graphics aren't everything. My favourites? Well quite frankly, FFI and FFV are right up there on par with FFVII, and their graphics are 'primitive'. Not everyone thinks the graphics are 'primitive', you know. Everyone says they wanna see an FFVII remake with PS2 graphics and all that? Well I secretly wanna see FFVII and FFVIII remade for the SNES with FFV/FFVI sprites! My secret revealed!

Lance Bass played Sephiroth? Oh my god... Sephiroth plus Lance... It's like... Like some insane wild crazy beautiful dream come true! *hugs Seph and Lance plushies* Anyway. I'd have to say GTA:VC's voice acting is the best, I mean come on, Ray Liotta playing Tommy Vercetti? Match made in heaven. Then again, SSX Tricky wasn't too shabby either.

Iota pulled the throttle all the way back, and the Hovercar bulleted foward. Warlock had never seen so much power in such a small car. Warlock: What type of Car is this? Iota: Mini Emoton. Type-S. Warlock snickered. He remembered the Minis of the early 21st century. Virtually the smallest car on the market. He remembered Doctor Light owning one at some point... But then again, Light owned alot of cars in his lifetime. Warlock: A Mini, huh? I don't recall them being this fast. Iota: Of course not! I added a little something extra. Warlock: Such as...? Iota: A Skyraider afterburner. Warlock turned around, and realised there was infact a huge jet engine built into the car. It took up the bulk of it. In fact, there was only just enough room for a driver and passenger. The Skyraider was one of the fastest jets in the world. He wasn't too sure if having it in the back of a tiny Mini was the safest way to go about things. Warlock: Ahh... As fast as we're going, I don't condone that. Iota: Relax, it's perfectly safe. Unless I do this! Iota flips a small lid up on the throttle, revealing a button with the words 'Fusion Injection' in a circle around it. Warlock: Uh, you're not going to press that, are you? Iota just smiles at Warlock, and presses it. A whirring sound begins from behind them. Warlock: Oh. You did. A Nuclear Fusion device somewhere around the engine flared up, and injected masses of energy into the afterburner. The Mini Emotion tore through the sound barrier, and Alpha was quickly in sight. Warlock nodded. Iota: That's the APC? Warlock: Yeah. And they're almost at the Comm. tower. Iota: Okay. I'll shut off the boost, I don't want to overheat the engine. She clicks the Fusion button once more, and the Mini slows back down to a more tolerable speed. Warlock flexes his hand, preparing for combat. -------- Back at HQ... -------- Zero walked down a corridoor, heading to the training rooms. They didn't need him. Yeah right. Without him, they stood no chance, he thought to himself. A message from Signas suddenly came up on his HUD. Signas: Zero, we have a problem. Zero: What's up? Signas: There's a Maverick approaching. Information tells us his name is Shadow. Zero: I see. Which way's he coming from? Signas: Western Sewer, Section B. Zero: Alright. This will be dealt with shortly. Signas: I've dispatched your squadron as well, Zero. He sounds strong. Zero rolls his eyes. Zero: You're losing your strength, Signas. With that, Zero turns to the nearest elevator, and steps in, heading to Sub-Floor 3; Sewer access.

I'm afraid it's time... I know I'm a lot late, sorry, but the votes have been tallied, and it's time for the eviction announcement. NeoCactuar, liamc2 and Yoda were all Nominated. Now, it's time for TWO of them to leave. NeoCactuar, you recieved 20 votes, as opposed to 19 and 17 respectively for Yoda and liamc2. This means that you will remain in the house. Yoda and liamc2, it's time for both of you to go. Enjoy your last posts in the OBBII house. :whoops:

Demos raised his arm, and swung it around, pointing it at the door. Demos: Let's go people. The clock's ticking. Everyone began to quickly exit the armoury. Demos glanced at them filing out, giving them all a quick once-over to see what they'd equipped themselves with. As per usual, X was the most elaborately equipped, brandishing a gleaming suit of Red Hyper-Armour, not to mention a Z-Sabre and Z-Buster. Demos just rolled his eyes. Why don't you just hold a sign above your head that says 'I am Zero's bitch', he thought to himself. As he chuckled, Reverb walked past. Demos raised an eyebrow. Demos: No equipment, Newbie? Reverb: Actually, I've already got mine. He tapped his right shoulder module. Demos: Okay. Whatcha got in there? Reverb: It's a suprise. Demos considered saying something, but just let it slip. He let Reverb continue, and exited the Armoury last, locking the door behind him. Security was usually pretty loose around here, but since the Replimasters, everyone had a little wake-up call. All six of them boarded Alpha, and this time there would be two support vehicles escourting them. Alpha was pretty well-armed, but it was still just an APC. Also, two Pilots, a Gunner, and a Communications officer were onboard. This was heavy. It'd been awhile since anyone had accompanied the Elites on a mission. Reverb: This mission looks like it's gonna be.. pretty heavy. Demos: Yup... Fear the worst, Newbie. Reverb swallows, and sits down towards the back of the APC. --------- Iota slammed her front door closed, and chased the Red and Black reploid down the corridoor of her apartment building. As she slid around a corner, she caught a glimpse of the fleeing Warlock. He turned around, rolled his eyes, and sped up. Iota does the same. Finally, Warlock reaches the limits of the corridoor, a dead-end. He thinks fast, and leaps out a window, grabbing onto a fire-escape. Iota jumped out behind him, and followed him up the ladder. Warlock stopped, and shouted down to her. Warlock: Dammit! Stop following me! Iota: Fine then. Iota's left Shoulder module opened up, revealing a small black handle. She grabbed it, and a massive string of light emerged from the small metal casing. She lashed it once, and with a sharp flick of the wrist, she swooped it up, grabbing a rail higher up on the fire escape. Then, in an impressive show of acrobatics, she flipped herself upwards, pulling herself on the whip. She landed a few levels above Warlock, and looked down at him, smiling. Iota: Kidding. I don't plan on leaving you. Warlock: Iota... There's no need for you to come with me. Iota: You're joking. I work as a security guard. It sucks. I haven't had to do anything for the entire time I've worked there. I'm just wasted talent! Warlock: I live in the badlands. It's a constant struggle to survive, and I'm currently holding a nice placing in the Hunter's black books. If I were caught anywhere in this city, let alone Hunter HQ, I'd probably be killed. Iota: Sounds exciting! Warlock frowns, and raises his voice slightly, trying to maintain a calm tone. Warlock: Belive me, it's not. Don't drag yourself into this. Iota opened her mouth to say something, but was interupted by a massive whirring sound overhead. They both looked up, only to see Alpha accompanied by two support vehicles. They were heading to the industrial sector. Warlock looked puzzled. Warlock: Two support units? Must be big... Iota: They've got six Hunters on board the APC, and four non-combatant units... The support vehicles are also carrying four hunters each, as well as non-combatant reploids. Warlock: How'd you know all that? Iota grinned at Warlock, and tapped the radar device mounted on her ear. He raised an eyebrow and nodded. Warlock: Interesting. Can you get any information on the mission? Iota nodded, and closed her eyes. She began speaking. Iota: They're using an encoded frequency... I can make out something about a tower... A silo... Not much more. Warlock: ...Dear lord... I know what's going on. Iota: Oh really? Warlock: No time to explain.. Do you have any EFS modules? Iota: Yeah, I think I have some inside. Warlock: Good, go and get them. What about transportation? Iota: Well, I have a Hovercar... Warlock: It'll do. Let's go. They're probably going to need some back-up. Iota: But you're not even a Hunter anymore. And besides, won't you get arrested or killed if they find you? Warlock: I don't care... My friends come first.
