Originally posted by Queen Asuka Well, if you want to see true Eva, and I suggest you do, PLEASE PLEASE go and buy the DVDs and see it subtitled and uncut. It'll probably be so different from that edited network crap that you wont even know what you're watching.
No, it's not cut, I've downloaded Episodes of KaZaA and compared them (Naughty, but still). After all, we're alot less liberal about stuff like that then your Network tight-arses in the states (see, I said 'arse' like it was nothing!). Besides, I don't want to go and spend money on DVDs or VHS's that are $64NZ a pop. I simply do not have that type of money, especially to waste on something I'm perfectly happy with, and have already seen. Oh, and get this, I'm not importing the End of Evangelion DVD until it's released dubbed! Gosh, I'm such an Otaku Anarchist. And is it just me, or am I the only one here who does find the Japanese voices annoying? Sure, they're not all bad, but sometimes they're quite easily worse than the english voices.

Well I was just showing all those people that the $50 price tag was only half what they thought it was, heh. But me? I have my eye on that Tonberry Plushie...
Originally posted by Queen Asuka If Eva went mainstream, I would seriously be pissed. It would still remain my favorite anime series, but then countless idiots would be claiming it as theirs when all they would be seeing was the dubbed and chopped up version that should be illegal to air. And then I would revolt. And start blowing up network buildings...or SOMETHING! >.

Hey Duo, this is an Aussie site, right? So is the price in Australian dollars, or not?

Vanilla Coke is like Gods soft drink. I swear. Nothing begins to come close to Vanilla Coke. It's like everyone in the country has thrown away their regular coke and is out buying Vanilla. Good on them.

Yeah, Geekshelf is having errors, maybe they closed or something... Shucks. :(

Must buy Tonberry! And a Cactuar for NeoC, of course.

Out of nowhere, it came. A helicopter, an Apache, shot up from an unseen lower location. Flash spun around to face it, his eyes widening in fear as he drops his glass of whiskey. At the same time as the glass shatters on the tiled floor, the Apache's gattling guns begins to fire. Flash dives behind a wall, dodging the spray of ammunition. Warlock isn't so lucky. Flash watches as a volley of bullets rip through Warlock, splashing blood all over the back wall of the apartment. The gunfire stops, and Warlock falls to the ground, a massive bloody cavity replacing most of his upper torso. The Apache jinks to the right, and leaves the scene. Flash ducks his head around the corner, watching as the helicopter quickly moves out of sight... Flash: Idiot! Christ... My apartment... Flash's door is kicked open, and several ATF agents run in, guns drawn. They're all immediately stunned by the damage sustained by the room. Amy runs up to Flash. Amy: Are you alright, Sir? Flash: I'm fine. But my apartment isn't... And I think you can see what happened to the Leone kid. Amy looks back at Warlock's blood-drenched mutilated carcass, before turning back to Flash in disgust and horror. Flash: Get a clean-up crew to get rid of this mess. And call the FBI, I want one of their helicopters. One of their best. Amy: Yes, Sir. Flash picks up his trenchcoat, dusting it off quickly, and putting it on. He walks out of the room, and gets out his Cellphone. He presses a button, and a call is made. It connects... ???: I already know--We're tracking the helicopter. Flash: I asked for a sniper, not a goddamned Apache. What do you mean you're tracking it? ???: It wasn't ours. Flash: Say what? ???: Lay low for awhile. Flash: I don't think so. I don't hide. Not my style. ???: Do as you please. But remember, our operation still holds priority. Flash: Of course. End call.

*loves AC2* Everyone in this thread who has said AC2 is the best mech game ever is right. When I first played the demo for AC on the PSX, I longed for the real thing. I got it, and when I did, I thought there could be no improvements on such a brilliant game. And then there was AC2. If God played a Mech game, it would be that one.

I like CSI: Las Vegas... Never seen Miami though. If it doesn't have Grissom in it, then it can't be worth watching... Grissom > CSI That Grissom... He can just walk into a room, look at a bloodstain, and a knife, and come to the conclusion that it was the victims cousins husbands vicar that killed them, because of a perposterous scheme involving illegal organ smuggling gone wrong and a advanced case of paranoid schitzofrenia with involuntary narcassistic rage. He's losing his hearing? I didn't know that. He'll have to rely on his Grissy-Sense.

It was on in NZ last year sometime. It was, and possibly still is, the funniest British show ever.

Gold. Pure gold. I'll be sure to use some of these in the future..

I know how you feel... In South Dakota over the Summer, we had around seven major fires in the Black Hills. At least two of them were fewer than ten miles from our house... My cousin, who lived in the outskirts of town, packed up alot of her important stuff and brought it round to our house... Scary stuff.
Originally posted by Nuchlear Yeah, I like the idea of the helicopters too, and the sharks in the water? can you get attacked by them? seen as you usually instantly die when you touch water, having sharks that wiped you out if you got too deep would be more realistic
Heh heh. I can just imagine standing out the back of a boat, blowin' up them sharks with a Rocket Launcher. Wheee. I'll hunt 'em... Hopefully Rockstar have put a 'Number of Sharks killed' in the stats screen.. Yup... Number of Sharks... Sharks... And helicopters... And... Blimps... ... ... Sharkz0r.. *has several simultaneous heart-attacks while babbling incoherantly*
Originally posted by zidane11 Lionheart swords are actually quite popular. It is commonly used, along with excalibur and things of that nature. It's mainly just the name. Are you sure that it's meant to be from Final Fantasy 8?
Of course not. Just because something in real life shares the same name as something in a game, doesn't mean that thing has anything to do with the item in the game... "Hey, check out this new Gold Armlet I bought." "Cool! Four Linked slots, right? What's the defence rating on that Mother?" 'sides, it's Lionheart Gunblade in the game. Not sword. :P

Raising Chocobos in FFVII was by far the most challenging and rewarding Mini-game in an FF game to date. Although it was fustrating at times, combined with the Chocobo racing game and the numerous advantages of owning the all-hallowed golden chocobo really made up for that. I don't think it was the most enjoyable mini-game, though. That title would go to Triple Triad from FFVIII. That was really good. Collecting all the cards was challenging, and the game itself was fun and strategic. Plus the way the cards could be modified into items really paved way for my ingenious scheme involving getting the Punishment gunblade before going to the Fire cavern. Heh heh. FFIX's game was... Kinda confusing. I didn't like it as much as the previous Mini-games. When I did play it, which wasn't often, I only ever won on luck. As for Blitzball, I haven't played it. From what I hear, it's fun though. It's hard to compare it with Chocobo breeding and Card games, though. And don't forget, FFVII had many more than just one Mini-game. Speed Square, snowboarding, the submarine mission, escape from Midgar, Fort Condor to name a few. FFVII is the winner for mini-games, hands down.

Well if there's one thread that just screams 'Flames galore' it's this one...

Is this what has become of the Final Fantasy forum? Perhaps we should just have a 'go to GameFAQs.com' forum. Yeah, I know. I was all set to write a walktrough for someone in the Zelda forum, and then someone replies with "go to gamefaqs.com." *sigh* - Desbreko

I'll bet you it's because James disabled all banners that are more than 500x100...
