Local Bands?

I'm in a band. Say hello to the lead singer of Fallen Faith, Christchurch's premier Punk-Rock-Metal band. Yeah, we have no idea what the hell we're doing. lol.
2. Is there room for one more? Name: Valius Ämro Murakumo AC Name: Devastratum AC Build: Head; RedEYE-002-3KZ - An advanced head system designed using specifications from an old head produced by 'Murakumo Millenium'. It features a detailed computer, top of the line bio-sensors and precise optical sensors. However, it lacks a radar, which serverly handicaps the AC. Core; GH-079-44 - A heavy core built especially for use on military ACs. It has many extension slots and strong armour, while maintaining low weight and energy usage. Arms; AN-00X/XX -Heavyweight arms with powerful energy shielding, and near-invincible armour. Even without weapons, these fists on these arms make for excellent fighting tools, due to the cooling rods in the palms. The AC can vent its excess heat through the conduits, heating the fists to white-hot temperatures. Legs; MST-044/8 - Humanoid legs built for agility. They have a massive load-bearing capacity without losing much in the way of speed. They are also very adept at jumping. Generator; RaY-89-00 - An experimental sub-nuclear fusion reactor, the main pro of this Generator is it's high redzone and mass energy output. However, its internal cooling device is sub-par, and thus a superior radiator is required to keep the RaY-89 from overheating. Radiator; CR-23-frostBITE - State of the art Radiator. Keeps the AC's power core at a constant set temperature, to ensure stable performance. Booster; CH006-VZX - A high-end booster built specifically for heavy ACs. Too powerful for lightweight ACs, as it risks ripping the core apart with it's strong boost. Medium energy usage and a very powerful thrust. FCS ZOX-666/SS - A custom-made Fire Control System designed for use with the ORB-7U weapon. Aside from use with this weapon, it is below average. However, as the ORB-7U is the AC's only FCS-controlled weapon, it doesn't matter. Inside EMF-08 - An ElectroMagnetic Field generator that scrambles enemy radar and throws off most missiles. If the intensity of the field is boosted to full with the AC's limit releaser, it can also disperse energy weapons. AC Strength: Agile, Strong Shielding, Powerful weaponary. AC Weaknesses: Very Low Ammunition count, Few weapons, Lack of radar. Weapons: Back weapon L/R; ORB-7U - Energy displacement weapon. The weapon fires a massive volley of energy shells that violently explode on impact. Although this weapon has unlimited ammunition, it drains most (if not all) of the AC's energy and takes a full 10 minutes to charge. Left Arm weapon; STRLGHT-034 A very advanced beam weapon based on a molecular displacement theory. Right Arm weapon; STRLGHT-034/S Same as above, but much more powerful. Backup Right Arm; BT-00H2 - A High power handheld bazooka, attached to the bottom of the right forearm. However, because of it's sleek appearance and concealed design, it can only hold 10 ammunition. Background: Valius is the descendant of Kenji Murakumo, leader of an old Mars-based Corporation once known as Murakumo Millenium. Because of this, Valius and his siblings grew up in an abandoned Murakumo dome, like so many others in his family line. Surrounded by AC parts and derelict MTs since birth. From his earliest days, Valius has been very much in love with the mechanical suits of armour, constructing his first at the age of 13. Since then, he has scoured through the decrepit Murakumo vaults and found many unused, experimental pieces of machinery. Selling them on the Martian black-market, he earned enough money and respect to purchase and customise the parts to build his ultimate AC--Devastratum. AC's color and Symbol: Devastratum's colour scheme follows a red and black pattern; Black base with red details. The symbol is a mechanical birds head, with a solid red pentagram backing.
3. Raiha, you're as weird as ever. I wuv you. ^-^~~!
4. Name: Damien Garland Callsign: Spectre Age: 17 Sex: Male Height: 5'10" Build: Average; Not very muscular, fairly lean. Grey eyes, medium-length straight black hair, and very pale skin. Attire: Wears a pair of baggy black jeans, a dark red shirt, and a black suit-jacket, fairly long. He also wears a pair of black combat boots, military issue. Also usually seen wearing a pair of sunglasses--Spectre can't stand bright lights. Abilities: Spectre has the ability to transform into a wraith-like form, in which he can walk through any solid object, should he choose to. During his 'wraith' form, Spectre appears as a monochrome, translucent version of himself. Also, any object or person Spectre is making contact with while transforming into his wraith form will become able to walk through solids until they let go of Spectre. If someone were to let go of Spectre while in wraith form and inside a wall for example, the results would be quite bloody, and ultimately and instantly fatal. While Spectre's abilities may seem fairly meager, it is unknown what other undeveloped powers his 'wraith' form holds. Biography: Damien Garland had a fairly normal childhood. From as early as he could remember, he knew how to use and abuse his powers. He enjoyed using them in secret, to gain access to forbidden places and such. One day, however, he was caught. He was taken to Eden Generations, and like so many others, exposed to near-lethal bombardments of gamma radiation, and his very DNA was tampered with. His powers became much more potent, and he gained even more refined control over them. Of course, it is quite difficult to restrain a boy with the ability to move through any object. The Eden staff realised that there was no chance of restraining Damien and no point in trying to continue with the experiments, ergo discarding him. He managed to escape before they attempted to terminate him, but Eden payed little care. He ran and ran, until his legs gave out in the middle of a forest. He blacked out, and when he awoke was at Professor Xavier?s Institute for Gifted Youngsters, his home for four years now.
5. Wow. Just. Wow. Reloaded left my mouth watering and wanting more. I can't wait for Revolutions November release. It was... So amazingly confusing (even for me ;)). Certain parts of it
(Such as Neo's conversation with 'The Architect')
made MGS2 look like a picture book. I wonder how many 'average movie-goers' understood it... :P
6. Hell, I really wanna get the 2nd CD... The BGM of Movies is my favourite part (score wise). What was that music playing during Neo's brawl with the multiple Agent Smiths? That rocked... Techno with the Choral sections.
7. Heh. I thought it was pretty funny. Totally, insanely random. Sure, it was nothing compared to the cynicism and wit of something like the Blackadder series (one of the funniest shows ever, in my opinion), but sometimes its good to have something in contrast--Tasteless, crazy humour.
8. Once again Chris, you grace us all with your opinions... /Everytime/ there's a Slipknot topic, you come along and bash them, the thread-starter gets angry, you retort, and so on. Do you like causing problems? I've been wondering this for awhile now.
9. Get to the Gone > You. Sure, it's their only song I've actually heard (aside from a remix of Nine Inch Nail's Closer), but it sure kicks ***, especially with this NGE music video it goes to. ^_^
10. With a heavy bag slung over her back, and a Techknife holstered on her belt, Tabrett Mechanus walked through Summer Grove, on her way to Azure City. She was sticking to the paths and avoiding any confrontations, for she knew that at such a low level, she'd probably get defeated easily. Tabrett hadn't been in the world very long--a day or two worth of play, at best--but she had already picked up the basic skills of item synergy, and was heading to Azure City to trade some of the goods she'd already made. Needless to say, they were fairly shoddy in terms of quality, but she was prepared to offer them for ridiculously cheap prices. As she strolled along the earth road, dirt tightly packed down from many travellers, Tabrett looked out across the horizon, to see how far she was from Azure City. Scanning the immediate area, she took notice of a high rock, and decided to climb to the top of it, to use it as a lookout. She put her pack on the ground, and grabbed hold of the rock, climbing up it. As she reached the final ledge, she pulled herself up all at once, coming face to face with another gamer sitting on the top of the pillar. She pulled back initially, but then lent in, smiling at her new acquaintance. "Hi there!," she beamed, extending her hand outwards to the player. "Name's Tabrett. Tabrett Mechanus. What's yours?" "Delete.", the young man answered, extending his hand. "I'm new here. Are you?" "Aww, I've only been here a few days or so, I'm a newbie. How long have you been logged in?" she questioned. "A few minutes at best." Delete answered, half laughing. "Wow, you're a real newbie, aren't ya?" Tabrett smiled back at him. "Any idea where you're heading?" "Well, I want to get to the Silver Oyster... Though I'd like to visit Azure City first." Tabrett grinned at Delete. "Great; I'm heading that way too! Let's form a party!" Delete smiled. "Alright, agreed. We're a party." "Albeit a two-person one." Tabrett said. "We'll need to work on that." After grabbing her backpack, Tabrett and Delete set off, towards Azure City. Tabrett looked at the clear sky and lush green surroundings, and then peered to Azure City in the distance. "Looks pretty far.. It'll take us a fair while to get there," the blonde-haired girl answered, her cap perched precariously backwards on her head, bangs of fair hair hanging out the front of it. Delete raised an eyebrow, and judged the distance. "Won't take me as long, I do have a pretty high speed stat." "You're a Light Warrior, right?," Tabrett asked her newfound companion. "Yeah, how could you tell?" "I figured with weapons like those, you must have been one. Not to mention I have superior intelligence." she said to Delete, winking. He laughed in reply, and shot a glance at her large pack. "I guess you're a... Little Hat, isn't it?" Tabrett frowned. "...I prefer MechaniCap. Little Hat is almost like an offensive term.." Delete looked somewhat suprised. "I'm sorry, I didn't know. MechaniCap it is."
11. I was pretty much at a loss for words when I heard he had passed away, someone who's made such an impact in the rally world. Hell, I wouldn't even care about rally driving if it weren't for Possum Bourne.. It really is a tragedy when such a legend of the track passes away. Rest in Peace, Possum.
12. Leliel was really cool, it was damn near invulnerable... I mean, really, an Inverted AT field? The shadow of the AT field being the angel itself? Hell, I wouldn't be able to understand the concept of the angel, let alone defeat it. Heh, Shinji got lucky. Aside from that, Sachiel and Zeruel were /so/ by far the coolest angels. Sachiel had the whole pile-driver-lazer-arms going on, and the massive expulsions of energy he could produce when he jumped. Zeruel's rapid-fire cross lazers were bad-arse too.

He got a job at a local Internet cafe, and a few months after, was able to move into an apartment above the shop. Merely weeks after this, he was promoted to manager of the the cafe, due to his charisma and leadership skills. He recently expanded the cafe to include a technical/repairs section. His job reels in lots of cash, but leaves him with lots of free time. Thusly, he spends quite a lot of time in 'The World'. Personality: Connor can be described as fun-loving, friendly, mature and at the same time, immature; He just knows when to be which. He's pretty laid back, almost lazy, but can get super-active when he finds something he wants to do. Interests: Rollerblading, Computing, Hanging out and Listening to Music.

Rapture

Twilight's golden rays weaved through the trees which housed many birds, chirping as the sun sunk behind the jagged mountainous horizon. Through these woods strode one man, his skin dark, and his steps heavy. Upon his back was slung a massive axe, and he was adorned with many spikes; on his gauntlets, shoulder plates and on the back edge of his weapon. His hair was dreaded into thick locks with candle wax, and it protruded from a full-head mask, which covered his entire face all the way around to the back of his neck. The mask itself was fearsome, two circular silver eyes, and a row of thin bars covering the mouth. Woven with strong fibers, and made of heavy leather, this mask was indeed permanently fixed on his face. He came to a massive canyon, which dropped to a river far below. He frowned. There was no way across, and he loathed the thought of backtracking hundreds of miles. With a sudden burst of thought, the man turned, and caught sight of a tree leaning over the brink of the cliff. He nodded and drew his axe, swinging it around into the trunk of the tree. In a single blow, the tree fell, and crashed downwards, it's top end landing on the opposite side of the cliff. The man sheathed his axe, slinging it back over his back, and walked across the roughly-crafted bridge. With each step he took, the bark of the tree trunk cracked, and the log itself shuddered and split under his sheer size. Once he had reached the other side of the canyon, he lept off the trunk, and continued on his way. He looked to the mountains east of him. Soon, perhaps in a day or two, he would arrive, and see what truth that letter held.
15. According to that last set of screenshots, there isn't going to be a world map... Boo.
16.
Originally posted by Lady Asphyxia Neo, you abolished tax? o.O How does that work?
Nah nah, we just abolished that one tax. We pay GST on everything we buy, though, which is a *****... 12.5%. Bleh.
17. If it's important to the development of the story, then yes, it is necessary. Otherwise, I really don't have any problem with it. I guess it makes the characters more 'real' in some situations.
18. Gah. Lord of the Rings has some of the most amazing costumes and make-up work of all-time. Tell me--How does someone giving Selma Hayek a monobrow win over a hundred people all made up to look like unique, grotesque orcs? And how does a bunch of crappy stage costumes from the thirties compare to the amazing array of different costumes we saw in the Two Towers? Huh? 'Roman Polanski' (not that I've ever heard of him) won best director? Why? Did he direct three great movies at once? Hell no! Argh! *explodes in ball of anger*
19. The doors to the storage room burst open, Reverb and Proteus running in. Demos casually looked up. Demos: Back so soon? Proteus: I had a thought. Perhaps we should make ourselves a 'safehouse'--Somewhere we can escape to if things get out of hand. Demos: Sounds like a good plan. But where? Reverb: Well, we were thinking of using... Your apartment, Iota. Iota threw her head back, and laughed heartily, with a hint of sarcasm. After a few moments, she lowered her gaze at Reverb and Proteus, and stopped. Iota: That's funny... No. I do have an idea, though.. Warlock lives in that city out in the desert, doesn't he? Demos: That's right, he does. Iota: So why not use that as a safe-haven? It'd certainly much easier than setting up a base of ops so close to HQ. Reverb nodded, and looked at Proteus, who too nodded in approval. Reverb: Alright then. You guys, start grabbing munitions from here to smuggle back to Warlock's place. Iota, contact Warlock at once. I'll go and see Duke, as intended. Proteus: I'll go with y-- Reverb: --No, stay here. I'll be fine. If Duke sees you, it's gonna raise alot of questions. We needn't bring any attention to ourselves. Proteus reluctantly agreed to Reverb's terms, and stayed with Iota and Demos. Reverb took a deep breath, and exited the storage room, heading for Duke's office. Iota: Good luck. Reverb turned to the female reploid and smiled, as the metallic door closed swiftly behind him.
20. Name: Flash Rickards Codename: Apostle Age: 32 Height: 6'3" Appearance: Flash is fairly slim, and not very muscular. His hair is jet black, and dreadlocked. He wears a Black jacket, black waistcoat, black shirt, black pants, black boots, black trenchcoat and black-rimmed sunglasses, with Silver lenses. All his buttons are silver, as is his tie, and the buckle on his thick belt. Personality: Flash is a witty charmer who isn't afraid to put his life on the line to accomplish his goals. His boisterous, cocky attitude is sometimes contrasted with moments of somber loneliness and deep thought. Preferred Gear: =

Dual Semi-Automatic Revolvers - Eight-bullet style, modern revolver magnums. Very powerful.
Dual Ingrams - Standard, 30 round clip, 9mm Uzis.
Nunchuku - Flash is the master with Nun-chucks. No-one has ever been able to beat him with them in the construct.
Fists - Like so many others, Flash loves fighting with his bare hands. He's damn good at it, too.
21. Dude, seriously--Evangelion Unit 01 versus God Gundam. I'd pay good money to see that fight.
22. I got two words for ya; Timesplitters 2.
23. I agree with you there, Ken. It does all seem a little 'unreal', especially for me, living in such a far-off part of the world which hasn't seen any military action... uh, ever. *Plays Red Alert 2; Iraq Vs. America. Iraq wins. Coincidence?*

Silence

Eerie noises, some sounding like demonic growls and screams could be heard in the distance from the forested path. Connor looked around cautiously. The cries sometimes sounded distant, but other times sounded as if they were coming from only a few feet away from the track. After a few more minutes of travelling along the winding path, He came to the one place he'd most like to avoid--A graveyard. "Oh, great. A cemetary." he thought, as he reluctantly pushed through the iron gates which closed off the resting place of the dead. There wasn't much to this place. It looked like there was a small church to one side, and next to it was a field of tombstones. Connor swalled his superstition and began weaving through the graves. According to his map, the path continued on past here. He took a few steps foward, when he heard the iron gates behind him swing open. Connor jolted, and spun around to face them, and anything that stood alongside. Much to his surprise, standing alongside the gate was a slender young woman, beautiful, and dressed in black. Slung at her side was a sword, and over he shoulder hung a duffel bag, which looked fairly heavy. She approached him cautiously. "My god, she's beautiful..", Connor said to himself as he looked up and down her black-clothed body, and at the weapon sheathed at her waist. "Looks like my type as well... Wait, what am I thinking?" He closed his eyes and shook his head, before stepping towards her. Connor: Hey there! Hi! Uh, I'm a little lost... Y'see, uh, I'm not from around here. Are you? I mean... Sethan: No, I'm not, sorry.. You sound nervous? Connor: It's just that... No, nothing. It's just a little freaky around here. Sethan: Yeah, I know what you mean. Connor: My name's Connor, by the way. Sethan: Sethan. Connor: I'm heading for Silent Hill. I sure would feel alot safer if you were with me. After all, looks like you're packing, heh. Sethan looked confused, but then followed Connor's eyes down to her belt, where her boyfriend's sword hung. She smiled nervously, and glanced at the duffel bag hanging over her shoulder. "If only he knew.", she thought to herself.
