Warning: Those of you who think any Platinum game on the PSX is 'Old School', leave now. This Trivia contest will focus on games from the Gameboy, NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis and Old PC games. It's simple. I ask the question/s, and you post the answer. First person with a correct answer wins. If you post an answer after someone else has already answered the question correctly, it will be deleted. If you think this is an oppurtunity to raise your post count, you are sadly mistaken, as this thread will almost certainly be deleted when I'm finsished with it. Ha. Now I'm afraid only 8 people will be allowed into the competition. This will reduce clutter and such though, so be thankful! I don't know how many questions I'll have though... We'll have to see about that. So yeah, I suppose that's it. If you think you're up to the challenge, please register yourself here... Good luck to everyone who enters.

Hey now, cut the guy some slack! Alot of people like Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo, Vegeta and what have you, and they're not the strongest. (Stronger that Radditz though... Hmmm...) And what you said about Radditz could have been true--Had Goku and Piccolo not killed him, and Radditz had trained for a long time, I'm sure he could be the strongest Saiyajin ever. As for the rest, it's all down to personal opinion.. And though I may not agree with what you say, I defend to the death your right to say it... *cough*
Originally posted by Zidane Adel's the one absorbing Rinoa right? Sorry, its been a long time. But if that's the case dont use GF's! And here's the party I used from benefiting off the Limit Breaks:- Squall Irvine Zell It really depends on how many combat king's you've collected.
'It really depends on how many combat king's you've collected.'? ha, I think not... Every turn or so, Remember to cast Cura or something on Rinoa. And use Meltdown on Adel! *always* use Meltdown on bosses. (You can get it by Modding the Gayla cards into Mystery Fluid, then using one of the Magic refines... Might be Sirens or Diablos', I dunno...). Anyway, just smack Adel with whatever you can, and Yes, Limit Breaks are good... But be careful with Squall, if any of his Finishers hit Rinoa, she's prolly already dead! >_< If you used good strategy, and all your guys are on low levels (15-), but your GFs are High levels (With all things learnt...), then it will be an EASY battle. Otherwise, try and hit her hard with Limit breaks from Irvine (Fast shot/AP Shot/Dark shot is good... Avoid Pulse/Fire shots though!), and attack with Magic/Attacks from other members (depending on what you're good at...), and don't forget to heal Rinoa. Good luck!

Flash: Stage two... Warlock: Flash, would you care to elaborate on what 'stage two' is? You never really told me, you see... Flash: Certainly, Warlock.. Do you see this City around you? Well let me tell you.. This City isn't really a City. It's a weapon. Do you know who built this city? My Great-great-Grandfather, Akira Murakumo... And he built it with the sole intention of using it as a weapon. Of course, back in those days, it was much more obvious. Nowadays though, after all the rebuildings, this city is just that... A city... Warlock: A weapon, you say? And what do you intend to do with it? Purge all life on Earth? Flash: Ha ha... No, Warlock. Look up there, in the heavens... Do you see the evening star, Venus? Warlock: What? Do you plan on destroying that as well? Flash: Not in the slightest. You see, Warlock... Flash brings up a holographic image, to aide his explanation... Flash: Meteo City will rise from the Earth, and launch into space... Then, when perfectly inline with Venus, which will happen in exactly 13 days, the weapon--A Gravity vortex--Will activate, pulling Venus into Earths orbit... And seeing as they are roughly the same size, they will circle around each other, while still orbiting the sun... And in the middle of these two orbiting planets will be 'Meteor', Meteo City, a massive station... controlling the orbit of the two heavenly bodies... Warlock: In a Dual-Binary orbit... Venus and Earth? Lemme guess... Heaven and Hell... Flash: That's right... Warlock: Sheer genius... Flash: Indeed it is. And it was all destined for us, Warlock... Warlock: Brilliant... When will we launch 'Meteor'? Flash: The countdown has already been set. We have 2 hours... Warlock: Excellent... What about those Hybrids? Flash: Ha, for the next 2 hours the reactors around the edge will be pumping out more energy then they ever have before. Plus, the thrusters will be charging... They'd be scorched in a second.. Warlock: Good. And even if they could reach the city, the vaccum of space would kill them quickly... Looks like this is the beginning of the end... Flash: No, no, Brother. It is merely the end of the beginning...

Millions upon millions of lightyears away, beyond the deepest reaches of time and space, a large ship hovers aimlessly around a planet... And within this ship, lies a soul of pure evil... A being whose entire existence, entire purpose has forever been a dark one. And now, his goal is getting closer and closer within his reach... Standing next to this soul of evil intent is a huge black cyborg... Dreadnaught... He looks almost impatient, angered by the evil one's slowness... Dread: Hurry up! Your dwindling is ann-- Dreadnaught cries out in pain... The person next to him carries on working, as Dreadnaught falls to his knees, electricity bouncing off of him... He reaches a hand up, but drops it again, as if it were a load he could no longer carry... The man continued to work, hardly noticing Dreadnaught's pain... ????: Watch what you say, Dreadnaught, or I'll kill you. Dread: Kill me? But why?! ????: I have no more use for you. Dread: What!? You backstabbing... ????: That's quite enough. The figure turns to Dreadnaught, placing a single hand near his chest... A billion tiny black orbs fly out of his hand, colliding into Dreadnaught with minimal force... The smash into him, piercing his armour... Dreadnaught cries out in pain, blood beginning to flow from his chest... He falls to the ground, struggling to get up as the being walks over to him, readying some kind of weapon... Dreadnaught glares at him... Dread: I should have killed you... ????: Yes, you should have. And with that, the man clicks his fingers, Dreadnaught then imploding into some kind of temporal rift, disappearing out of sight... He then turns back to his workbench, and continues working on his project...

Before the group could even react to the events that had just taken place with Selven, a mass of green light erupted from the ground around them, and the world began to distort itself... Everything became dark, snow began to fall from the sky... But with it was not the peace and tranquility brought with normal snow... About it hang a veil of stagnance and eerie solitude, like an omen... Toll bells could be heard in the distance, but from where? Toll bells had been out of use for hundreds of years... A huge scream ensued. The group all held their hands over their ears as the massive screech erupted from all around them... Then there was a massive white light.... They awoke again, this time far from Meteo City... In the mountain ranges to the east, they could see it clearly, in all it's former glory... Lights on everywhere, reactors around the outskirts all working at full power... Each emitting a sturdy blue glow... Rico: ...What? Iris: How?! The City is... Pi: Back to normal? Warlock: Back to normal? Hardly. Standing next to them was Warlock, also watching the city. He had literally appeared out of nowhere... And as quickly as he came, he left, leaving the entire group confused and anxious as to what was going on...

Flash plugged into the Weapons matrix, taking maximum control of the port-side weaponary systems... He swiveled the turret around, and saw Rico, Warlock, and Syth... He talked to them over radio... Flash: Don't worry guys, I got your backs... Port-side turret is full-op, and ready to go... I'll cover you if anything should happen...

Flash: Well, let's see here... We got main systems Grid online, variable control sequences are 50% done, along with the stabiliser system for maximum accuracy... Twin-linked Buster Cannons on two swivelling turrets on Port and starboard, and a main cannon system on the front, and that's nearly 35% complete.. Power banks are fully operational, and the Main cannon is running off a Neuron Gel pack, should last 10-20 shots, I'd say. Depends on what power ambience we set it to... But the main cannon can only be fired fowards, so if you want to fire it another way, we'd have to turn the whole ship around.. That's just the way it was built, if it were on a turret, the recoil would rip the whole thing off... Plus we've still got the EMP emitter, but it's been reconfigured to only affect outside a 2 metre radius of the ship's hull, so using it won't effect anything inside... We do however have a 'Last-resort' type EMP, which emphasises the wave length and has a greater range... However, it runs directly from the ship's core, so it will shutdown the ships's systems... But not the back-up, so even if we use it, we can still move, but not use the weapon grid... But if I reconfigure the hardware setting, Auto-repair should be able to get the ship up and running, fully operational, in 10-20 minutes. Until then, we're flying blind... Which is why I mean it as a last resort. But even so, we do have a few Non-electronic weapons on board, only 4 or so, specifically built for such a case. Old fashioned weaponary, loaded with AP rounds and a Grenade launcher, so we can take out machines... Until we deplete our ammo supply... But the EMP system is only 60% complete, I should have the whole thing ready in a few hours... If I hurry.

A huge fire blast ploughs through the mayors office... Then, from the opposite wall, a huge icicle comes crashing through the wall... The structural integrity of the building crumbles, the roof nearly caving in on everyone... Then, a huge burst of black energy shatters the roof into a fine dust... Dr Mulray takes his arms down from over his face, and looks at the two people standing in front of him... Dr Mulray: What!? Who are you!? Flash: Messengers. Warlock: Which means it's time for your Deliverance, Doctor. Both at once, they draw their weapons, each placing one on either side of the doctor's forehead... They squeeze the triggers, and the bullets shoot off, traveling like wildfire down the barrels of the weapons, accelerating as they reach the end of their voyage, each finding a new home deep within the good doctor's skull... Blood flies across the room, and Mulray falls to the floor, dead... Flash and Warlock put their guns back into their hoslters, and turn to the Clone and Selven... Flash: This little show is over. If you two leave now, I'll kill you slowly. If you don't, I'll send you to an eternity of pain...

Connors eyes burned with rage... His entire body was shaking with the pain and fury that Xero had brought up inside him... He knew of the chaos Xero could create... And now, with the full power of the Jewels, he would be unstoppable, in all aspects... Not even the combined force of all the fighters on earth could even try to stop him... And here these two were... mocking him... Connor: Cynical? Connor picks up Raiha by the shirt collar, holding her up high... With clenched teeth and fire in his eyes he glares at her... Connor: You don't know what will become of this... I do. He released her, and she fell to the ground... Warlock stood beside him... Warlock: Connor, calm down-- Connor: Shut up.. Just... Shut up. We've already lost Seph today, I don't want to have to make you dead as well... Warlock: .... Connor: Well... That's all. I'll see you guys in the afterlife, eh? And with that, Connor zips up his jacket, and puts his hands in his pockets, and begins to walk... Not knowing where he is going, just walking off, away from everyone...
Originally posted by Rick Hunter One last thing, what does everyone think about the Title for Episode 2. Attack of the Clones sounds a bit too genric in my opinion, I think they could have done a really better job with the title then that! :)
I, like so many others around the country, choked with laughter and shock at this appauling... appauling name... What is this? A 70's horror flick? Anyway, when I saw it during a movie trailer, I think it was overshadowed by the R.E. and Spiderman movies, so bleh. :p
Originally posted by Sephiroth if I remember my facts straight, which I don't, integral was the name of the japanese version of vr missions, though I think it had a few extra bonuses....
Hmm, judging by the fact that both you and CWB seem to want it so badly, I guess the bonuses were Cats and Yaoi.. or maybe even worse... CATS Yaoi! "ALL YOUR YAOI ARE BELONG TO CATS !!" "YOU HAVE TO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR YAOI" "HOW ARE YAOI GENTLEMEN !!" Whoops, I'm rambling...
-
Dreadnaught laughed. You could almost hear the dark smile on his face... He looked down at Sephiroth, dying... Dreadnaught: Thank you, Sephiroth. You've sentenced everyone here to certain death! Dreadnaught rams his fist into Sephiroth's chest, and in a splatter of blood, Sephiroth was gone... Dreadnaught turned around, half expecting to see Nadia there, but she was gone... Then he remembered his true purpose...The prize of the tournament... He flew up, and stormed towards Azrael's tower... In midflight, he was confronted by none-other than Connor... Dreadnaught: Ahhh, Connor. Get out of my way, foolish child. Connor: No more games, Dreadnaught... Dreadnaught: That's right, Connor. No more. From now on, everything you know is doomed. Dreadnaught disappeared, and Connor spun around quickly, staring at Azrael's tower... The top half of it exploded, revealing Dreadnaught clasping the Azure Jewel in his massive hand... He laughed, and then shot off into the sky, with such force that he obliterated the rest of the tower... All hope was now officially lost... Connor: ...It's over... Connor sent out a telepathic message.. to everyone... He instructed them to meet him on the cliff north of the City, to discuss the matters at hand...
-
Dreadnaught: Ha. You may think you share the same genetics as I, Sephiroth.. But you are far from the truth... And as for you... Nadia, isn't it? I'll kill you later. Dreadnaught focusses his mind on Sephiroth, and the space around him... With a few quick hand movements, things around Sephiroth begin to distort, and reality itself seems to slip away... Soon, Sephiroth is standing in an infinite void... Nothing but blackness surrounds him... Then, he notices a massive firestorm on the far horizon... The firestorm spreads quickly, and soon, it is raging everywhere, Seph unable to escape it... Then the void collapses, everything imploding into Seph... Sephiroth appears back in the arena, everything a blur... He sees Dreadnaught in front of him, pointing a fistful of energy at him... Dreadnaught: Lights out. Dreadnaught fires the beam, which smashes into Seph with an unbelievable force..
Originally posted by Sephiroth mgs integral was the name of the game....
*facevault* Well thank you for pointing out the painfully obvious, Mr. Obviously-hasn't-had-his-coffee-today.. :p I mean what IS the game?
-
Dreadnaught: No matter. A demonic screech is heard throughout the arena, and a new arm bursts violently out of Dread's socket... But this arm is different. It isn't machine--It is an organic arm... Suddenly, a huge array of metalic pipes and tubes sprout from Dread's shoulder and arm socket, intertwing themselves with his flesh... Soon, Dreadnaught's arm is fully regrown... Dreadnaught: Sephiroth... Whatever you have become is... vile. I may be an emotionless... killer... But eating another mans... Or machines flesh? You have crossed the line of sanity... And I will put you out of your misery. Dreadnaught appears next to Beserker Seph, placing a hand on his back... His claws extend, ripping deep into Sephiroths flesh... He holds Seph high above his head, and then tosses him into the air, forming a massive ball of black ki around his other fist... He then follows Seph upwards, getting above him... He brings his fist downwards in a massive straight punch into Sephiroth's face... Sephiroth hurdles at the speed of light towards the ground, where he is met by a gargantuan energy blast from Dreadnaught... The entire City is engulfed in a bright darkness from the devastating attack...

FFVII: Cloud, Yuffie, Barret FFVIII: Squall, Irvine, Quistis FFIX: Zidane, Vivi, Steiner, Freya And for what it's worth, I used Fighter/Black Belt/Black Mage/White Mage in FFI... :p
Originally posted by Amphion I never tried winning it but Im glad i did not now that i know you could not have used it. The sword looks sweet but I would not take it into battle. Two shorter katana's would do more damage in the right hands.
Heh heh, pity you can't do that in FFVII then, ain't it? :p But if you mean really, as in, in REALITY rather have two katanas.. Well, may I remind you that the Masamune is a legendary sword, which is invincible and whatnot... But only Sephiroth can wield it, so... Meh.
