Juggernaut raised a hand, and swatted it at Seph, who flipped up, dodging it... But while he was flipping, Juggernaut appeared behind him, doing a straight punch into his spine... Seph is sent hurdling towards the ground, but manages to regain his composure during the fall, and lands crouching, making a massive crack on the ground... Juggernaut laughs... Juggernaut: Let us duel, Sephiroth. Juggernaut holds his right arm into the sky... It begins to glow red... Then, in a splatter of blood, Juggernaut's arm is ripped to pieces, replaced with a massive blade... It sheens with a sort of red, and is attached to his elbow, a huge array of metallic cables and pipelines feeding into it... Sephiroth: Blood?! But--You're a machine! Juggernaut: I am not all I seem. Sephiroth glances down at his Soul reaver, glowing darkly with a steady pulse... Sephiroth: An old fashioned swordfight, huh? Juggernaut: If you call that a sword... Sephiroth: It is, as you will see Juggernaut, so much more... The two clashed, metal meeting energy, and a massive electrical storm ensued... Both fighters pushing foward hard with their respective weapons... As they slammed their blades into each other, massive surges of energy erupted throughout the arena... The shields began to flicker...

You're not the only one, stormwing... o_O;

Isn't this 'favourite' stuff a bit overworked? o_O;; But anyway, I guess I'll agree with Seppy and say G Gundam..
Originally posted by SephirothNIN Hmm...the quest mode IS fun, although you can only be two different people...damn if you could play through with Sephiroth, yumyumyum. I don't care for the fighting engine though, you have one "special meter", and when that's gone u can't refill it. So when Cloud or Sephiroth draw their sword, the meter constantly goes down..gah that sux so much, not to mention the iffy combo system and weird jumping moves, oh well the Quest mode was reaaaally fun...altho I don't remember much. Paying $$ to save really sucked however, grr kept increasing in price too, what a ripoff. And they could've put in Sephiroth w/ the black cape on...not all beaten up and shirtless...oh well.
Well, in my version at least, Seph had 2 outfits... That one, and the one in the cape... You must have been selecting the alternate costume, heh heh.
Originally posted by kuja hmmmmmmm i didnt like FF 7 as a final fantasy game. I mean anyone who had played FF before that knows what the crystals, the moggles and chocabos (omg @ misspelling that) actually fit better into the game, and in general are much more fun games. While FF 7 revolutionized the RPG industy and set major standards it really F'ed up the series for a lot of gamers. Fortunatly they brough back the mystiqe that IS FINAL FANTASY. Most old school FF fans enjoyed 7 and 8 but dont give them credit for being FF games, while they liked 9 for bringing the most basic elements of a FF game back. I never understood how anyone could like the bad guy in the games it just shows how much this world is prone to vilence. The only bad guy you could really like is Magus from Chrono Trigger because well if you played the game u would understand im not going to spoil that. Now as for FF 7 being a classic: Yes FF 7 should go down as a classic game by square but i think they should rename it to something else. It did wonders for the gaming community, turning fighters from the top game to RPGs (for a short while). Now it is sports because there are so many companys that throw crap sports games out there lol... i think 4 bball games a year is wayyyyyyyy to many 2 is enuff just to keep the game getting better. anyway yea FF 7 is a classic that doesnt deserve the Final Fantasy title.
Well kuja, once more, I have to disagree on you with this point.
Originally posted by Cloud all and all a GREAT game..... but it had nothing to do with Fantasy.... more futureistic if you ask me....
You too, Cloud. Final Fantasy Seven was blatantly a Fantasy game. Your point on Chocobo's and Moogles not fitting into the game as well as in other FF's? I don't think so myself. Moogles were (I think) either an extinct or ficticious species, seeing as they were only present in the Gold Saucer as Video Games and Costumes, and on the Snowboarding course as obstacles. (Not counting Choco/Mog summon, of course.) Chocobos had MUCH more depth than they did in any other FF game. Breeding them? Racing them? It was something unique to FF7. So really, I think they fitted in very nicely. Remember--The FF7 world was probably just like something in FF5, or another early FF game, but ShinRa took it over, futurising it and whatnot. So the game is sort of semi-fantasy, semi-futuristic. And that brings about another point. How can you say something with Magic Crystals and strange monsters isn't fantasy? o_O? Final Fantasy 7 was very clearly fantasy, although I guess I can see where you're coming from. While places like Midgar and Junon really do make it seem like a futuristic game, you have to look at the other parts, which really are fantasy... The Forgotten capital. Cosmo Canyon. Places which could never exist in reality! But relating to my first paragraph... I really think that Final Fantasy 7 world could once have been just like any other FF game, with all the races and what have you. I mean, the huge forest near gongaga town? Elves. The now abandoned Mythril mines? Dwarves. All we need now is a summoner village--That's right, the Ancients. Final Fantasy 7 could very well be an FF game, just more in the future... Now, if they made all Final Fantasy games the same, without a change once and a while, what would the series be like? Would we see every single FF game starting with 'Garland has kidnapped the Princess... again'? And don't forget about how many Old School FF fans have played FF7 and named it as the best in the series. Why? Because in my opinion, it is... FF9 was probably more recognisable as a FF game because of its true connection with the early days of Final Fantasy. The Mages, the Airships, the Moogles, etc. I've heard people say that FF7 was bad because it lacked character customisation.. Which is of course, pretty silly, because Materia allows for total customisation of a character. Final Fantasy 9 on the other hand? Now that was wierd. Everyone had set magic abilities and stuff... Sure, you could learn abilities, but it really wasn't that customisable at all--Unlike FF7.. (On another note--FF7 stuck with the classic Fire, Fire2, Fire3 system... FF8 and FF9 both went with Fire, Fira, Firaga... Unless I've seriously missed something, the system used in FF7 was used in all the original FF games, so really, that makes FF9 less like the old games in that area...) So I finish by saying this--Final Fantasy 7 is very clearly a Fantasy game, albeit a more futuristic one. It still retains most of the things all the older FF games had... Moogles, Chocobos, Boats and Airships, Magic, the old Summons... Just in different ways and stuff. But they were all there. Final Fantasy 7 does have all those FF features that we're so used you, and really does more than deserve the 'Final Fantasy' title. Unlike a Certain Final Fantasy movie... *cough*

Flash: Ha ha, Siren. You must be speaking of my ancestor, the great Flash... Indeed, he was a troubled soul... But that doesn't matter now, because I have surpassed him. Warlock and I are not humans... Nor are we hybrids. To you... we are gods. Warlock: That's right. And our goal is simple - cleansing the world of you impurities... But lately, our plan has become so much greater... Flash: Listen well, fools.. From now onwards, there will be two worlds here... One, a world of pain and suffering. A true hell on earth. Warlock: Where I shall be your ruler. And when you look to the heavens... You will see Flash. And he will rule Utopia--A place filled with a new super-race, superior to humans or hybrids. Flash: Believe me, you're all heading for a world of pain. And this is only the beginning... *looks at watch* ...In 14 hours time, stage one will begin... Chole: Stage one? Warlock: Ahh, Chole. Always asking questions. Stage one is Meteo city... Iris: What!? Flash: Ha, it is far to complex for you to understand. You'll see, in time. But for now, you can all sit back, and watch... Warlock flicks his hand down, and a massive whip of red light seems to shoot out of his palm... He grasps it, and without even looking, whips it at Siren... It coils around her, and he flicks the whip towards the others, and she flies hard into a wall, sliding to the ground... Warlock retracts the whip back into his palm... Warlock: Please, be seated. Flash: Ha ha, Warlock. Raynor would be proud.. Warlock: Heh heh... We'll see... We'll see...

I couldn't have said it better myself, Neil. Shiro, I don't want to sound harsh, but sometimes it's unavoidable. And also, it seems that you started a Resident Evil RPG very recently... (Not long after CWB made his RE RPG... o_O;; Coincidence? I think not...) But the point is; instead of making a lot of mediocre RPGs, sometimes... Actually, most times, it's better to make one brilliant RPG. *cough* Battlefield *cough* :)

Flash grabs Iris, throwing her violently onto the metal table... He points his palm at her, and some of the titanium melts, and wraps around her wrists, ankles, waist, and neck... Flash: Don't try and escape again. Iris: Or what? :demon: Flash: Or else... *aims gun at Chole's head* ...I'll paint this room red with his blood.

This whole topic is less than 560 letters long so far. Shiro, look at SS Trunks' Metal Gear RPG. He started it yesterday. Look at the first plot. Look at the sign-up sheet. Notice a difference? It has something your RPG lacks... PLOT!! Shiro, I don't know if you got the idea for this RPG from SS Trunks or not, but the fact of the matter is if you make an RPG, take sometime to think about it. A new Metal Gear, you say? Then why is it called Rex? That was from MGS, remember? ...*sigh*

ugh, everyone is posting at once. None of my posts will make sense now, because other people will post while I'm typing... -_____-;;;

The darkness fades away, replaced with the dim glow of a few lights around the room... Chole looks around, and sees that the room is actually a massive office, white walls and roof, and a marble tile floor... In front of him is a massive desk, with a black leather armchair behind it... The table Chole is lying on begins to lean foward, until it is nearly vertical, leaving Chole in a standing sort of position... Chole watches the chair closely, expecting it to turn around at any moment... But it didn't. He sees a man in a white trenchcoat holding a shot glass standing towards the massive window behind the desk, looking out at the night sky... There is another man, dressed in a black trenchcoat, on the opposite side of the room, also looking out a window... Chole trys to speak, but finds his throat is very dry, and dusty... Eventually, he musters up the strength to talk... Chole: Who are you? The two figures just stand there, motionless, as if Chole's words has not even been heard... They remain like this for quite a while, a good 20 minutes, while Chole cries out again and again... Finally, as he is just giving up all hope, the one in the White trenchcoat turns, and smirks at him... He pivots on one foot, and begins to walk towards him. Chole looks at his face... Millions of images run through his mind... Images of slaughter, bloodshed, piles and piles of dead hybrids filling the streets... Chole writhes, trying to escape the images... They quickly disappear, and he sees the man in white, standing only 2 or so metres away from him... The man in the black trenchcoat also walks over to him... Chole looks towards him, and remembers much the same... Massive winged demons, huge firestorms, death and destruction... Chole twists around, trying to shake the images out of his mind... After a few minutes, the two speak... Flash: We are the Alpha and the Omega. Warlock: We are the superior, where you are the inferior... Flash: The beginning... Warlock: ...and the end. Chole: What?! Flash: Ha ha... Foolish Hybrid. You needn't worry yourself with such matters--We are far beyond your comprehension. Warlock: Yes, far, far beyond. Our use for you is simple. Bait. Chole: Bait? Oh, no... You mean.. Flash: Of course. We're using you to lure your pathetic companions here. Once they are, we will kill them-- Warlock: --Kill them all. And after that... This place will be completely free of Hybrids... In fact, it will be free of anyone but us. Flash: And then we can use Meteo City for what it was originally intended. Chole: Which is? Warlock: Ha! Think we'll tell you? You truely are moronic, Hybrid. All of your kind. Flash: Which is why we will create a world without you. Without any impurities... Hybrids and humans alike. Chole: WHAT!? No! That would mean a worldwide Genocide!! Warlock: ...and your point is? Utopia is well within our reaches. And no insignificant Hybrid scum are going to snatch it from us!
Originally posted by Sephiroth sigh, if only flash could post so we can get this tournament going, but alas, his internet connection has other things on its mind....
Bah, I need Broadband... -_-;; -------------------------------- The announcer finishes announcing the final match... He calls out Juggernaut's name... Juggernaut walks silently into the arena, a feeling of evil following him. He walks to the center of the arena, and then stops... Everything grows dark... After a few minutes of darkness, and silence, the peace is shattered by a high pitched demonic screaming... Audience members cover their ears, yelling in pain... A huge surge of Red energy flows up from within Juggernaut, shooting straight up into the sky in the form of a massive red bolt of lightning... It ploughs up into the clouds, causing a huge firestorm in the heavens... Sephiroth stands in the warriors lounge, watching the spectacle with the other fighters... Zylius: Man, he has some serious power stored up... Azrael: Well, Connor mentioned something to me about him gaining strength with each person he kills... And seeing as he has slaughtered a few of our strongest... Zylius: .... Aestus: .... Sephiroth: ....And now, I take my leave. I wish you all well... Aestus: ....Good luck, Sephiroth. Sephiroth: *grinning* By the look of things, I'll definitely need it. And with that, Sephiroth turned and walked out the doors, down the long corridoor, towards the arena gates...

Hiding from the bright floodlights around the helipad, a dark figure stands solitary, cast against a sky of dark clouds, yet with a mysterious red hue to them... The figure zooms in on the group of men near a Chinook helicopter on the helipad... A few of them are soldiers, but 3 of them appear to be officers... He zooms in further, and captures the images of their faces with a built in digital camera... Luckily, he manages to get all three of them, all very clear. Running over the images several times, he begins to recall their names... And more importantly who they are... He speaks to himself, in a cold, metallic tone... ?????: Commander Grishkovich Voleslav, from Chernigov... A Russian Marine commander.. Military Advisor Azov Stepanovich from Dubrovitsa... And... What? Golotichesk?! No, that can't be, you died.. I killed you in Ukraine... This is strange indeed. A Marine commander, a Military advisor, and a dead man... The figure walks to the very edge of the tower he is standing on, and leaps off, in a full swan dive, his stealth activating halfway down... The figure is gone, without a trace... a single drop of rain begins to fall from the night sky, and the winds slowly pick up... A storm is brewing...

Flash spins around, sensing something... He waves his hand at the massive monitor on the eastern wall... It flickers to life, and shows the entrance from many different angles... The doors slide open, and Chole, along with the couple walk into the lobby... Warlock walks over to the screen, and looks at it... He turns to Flash, smirking. Flash too has a grin on his face... Warlock: That one there, at the back... He's the hybrid, isn't he? Flash: Heh heh, indeed he is. Warlock: Shall we.. Greet him? Flash: Oh, no. Let's let him work his way up. He can witness our destruction first hand. Warlock: An excellent idea... But when can we kill him? Flash: Oh, his death will be a lengthy one. He is special... Unlike the others... Warlock: ...Do you think we could-- Flash: --No. His heart is good. Warlock: Bah... Flash: No matter. They'll all die, in due time.. Flash goes and sits down in the chair behind the desk, and faces to the southern wall of the room, one huge window... He watches the night sky, a very clear orange hue to it... It was like the sky was on fire... A few bolts of lighting crackled down from the sky, and a light rain began to fall...
-
Flash clicks his fingers, and at once, the room morphs back to it's former self... Warlock looks a bit suprised, but then goes back to staring at Flash... Flash smiles innocently back... But a look of menace still resides in his eyes. Warlock prepares to leave, and walks towards the door... Flash: Warlock... Warlock: What? Flash: Don't you see? We are destined to rule here, Warlock. Side by side. We are brothers, bound by fate, and destined for total domination over the world... Think about it. Living in a world untamed by any boundarys or laws... You would be a god, Warlock. Warlock stops for a moment, to think about Flash's words... Flash sees this as his chance. His one oppurtunity to convince Warlock in his words.. Flash: This is your future, Warlock... Your destiny. It was meant to be this way. Warlock turns around, facing out one of the many windows of the tower... He looks over Meteo City, and thinks... Eventually, he looks back at Flash, and a flicker of black passes over his eyes.. He grins at Flash... Warlock: Perhaps you are right... Brother.
